1Receptome profiling identifies KREMEN1 and ASGR1 as alternative functional receptors of SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Host cellular receptors play key roles in the determination of virus tropism and pathogenesis.However,little is known about SARS-CoV-2 host receptors with the exception of ACE2.Furthermore,ACE2 alone cannot explain the multi-organ tropism of SARS-CoV-2 nor the clinical differences between SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV,suggesting the involvement of other receptor(s).Here,we performed genomic receptor profiling to screen 5054 human membrane proteins individually for interaction with the SARS-CoV-2 capsid spike(S)protein.Twelve proteins,including ACE2,ASGR1,and KREMEN1,were identified with diverse S-binding affinities and patterns.ASGR1 or KREMEN1 is sufficient for the entry of SARS-CoV-2 but not SARS-CoV in vitro and in vivo.SARS-CoV-2 utilizes distinct ACE2/ASGR1/KREMEN1(ASK)receptor combinations to enter different cell types,and the expression of ASK together displays a markedly stronger correlation with virus susceptibility than that of any individual receptor at both the cell and tissue levels.The cocktail of ASK-related neutralizing antibodies provides the most substantial blockage of SARS-CoV-2 infection in human lung organoids when compared to individual antibodies.Our study revealed an interacting host receptome of SARS-CoV-2,and identified ASGR1 and KREMEN1 as alternative functional receptors that play essential roles in ACE2-independent virus entry,providing insight into SARS-CoV-2 tropism and pathogenesis,as well as a community resource and potential therapeutic strategies for further COVID-19 investigations.Yunqing Gu Jun Cao Xinyu Zhang Hai Gao Yuyan Wang Jia Wang Juan He Xiaoyi Jiang Jinlan Zhang Guanghui Shen Jie Yang Xichen Zheng Gaowei Hu Yuanfei Zhu Shujuan Du Yunkai Zhu Rong Zhang Jianqing Xu Fei Lan Di Qu Guoliang Xu Yun Zhao Dong Gao Youhua Xie Min Luo Zhigang Lu 2022Cell Research2022,32,1:8
2Experimental study on the mechanical properties and consolidation mechanism of microbial grouted backfill显示文摘Backfill mining technology is the practice of returning waste materials underground for both disposal and geotechnical stability,however,a challenge with current technologies is that they commonly require cement-based binders which have a relatively high environmental impact.Finding alternatives to cement-based binders can improve environmental performance and this paper proposes microbial grouted backfill(MGB)as a potential solution.In this paper,the effects of the cementation solution concentration(CSC),volume ratio of bacterial solution to cementation solution(VRBC),particle sizes of the aggregates,and the number of grouting batches on the mechanical properties of MGB are studied.The experimental results show that MGB strength increased,up to a peak value,as CSC was increased,before decreasing as CSC was increased further.The results also show that MGB strength increased,up to a peak value,as VRBC decreased,before decreasing as the VRBC was decreased further.The peak strength was achieved at a CSC of 2 mol/L and a VRBC of 1:9.The strength of the MGB also increased as the number of grouting batches increased.Graded MGB samples showed the highest UCS,25.12 MPa,at particle sizes of 0.2 to 0.8 mm,while full(non-graded)MGB samples displayed mean UCS values ranging from1.56 MPa when the maximum particle size was 0.2 mm,up to 13 MPa when the maximum particle size was 1.2 mm.MGB samples are consolidated by the calcium carbonate that is precipitated during microbial metabolism,and the strength of MGB increases linearly as calcium carbonate content increases.The calcium carbonate minerals produced in MGB materials are primarily calcite,with secondary amounts of vaterite.Xuejie Deng Yu Li Fei Wang Xiaoming Shi Yinchao Yang Xichen Xu Yanli Huang Benjamin de Wit 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:7

4Specific Relationship between the Surface Air Temperature and the Area of the Terra Nova Bay Polynya,Antarctica显示文摘Antarctic polynyas play an important role in regional atmosphere?ice?ocean interactions and are considered to help generate the global deep ocean conveyer belt.Polynyas therefore have a potential impact on the Earth’s climate in terms of the production of sea ice and high-salinity shelf water.In this study,we investigated the relationship between the area of the Terra Nova Bay polynya and the air temperature as well as the eastward and northward wind based on the ERA5 and ERAInterim reanalysis datasets and observations from automatic weather stations during the polar night.We examined the correlation between each factor and the polynya area under different temperature conditions.Previous studies have focused more on the effect of winds on the polynya,but the relationship between air temperature and the polynya area has not been fully investigated.Our study shows,eliminating the influence of winds,lower air temperature has a stronger positive correlation with the polynya area.The results show that the relationship between the polynya area and air temperature is more likely to be interactively influenced.As temperature drops,the relationship of the polynya area with air temperature becomes closer with increasing correlation coefficients.In the low temperature conditions,the correlation coefficients of the polynya area with air temperature are above 0.5,larger than that with the wind speed.Yifan DING Xiao CHENG Xichen LI Mohammed SHOKR Jiawei YUAN Qinghua YANG Fengming HUI 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,5:3

6Starch supplementation improves the reproductive performance of sows in different glucose tolerance status显示文摘This study was to evaluate the effects of glucose tolerance status,maternal starch supplementation and soybean substitution in diets on the performance of dams and their offspring.Eighty-eight pregnant sows(Landrace x Large White)were selected from an initial total of 120 sows,based on blood glucose test values,and assigned to 4 experimental treatments in a 2×2 factorial design.The factors were glucose tolerance status(glucose intolerant[GIT]vs.normal glucose tolerant[NGT])or dietary treatments(corn starch diet[CS]vs.soybean substitution diet[SSI]).A higher area under the curve(AUC)for post-meal glucose was observed(P<0.05)in the GIT group than in the NGT group on d 109 of gestation.The CS group had a lower value of homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance than the SS group(P<0.05)on d 109 of gestation.Corn starch supplementation for sows decreased the stillbirth rate(P<0.05),regardless of the sows’glucose tolerance status.The villus height of the jejunum and the villus height to crypt depth ratio of the ileum were greater in normal birth weight piglets from the CS group than from the SS group(P<0.01),and so was the activity of sucrase in the jejunum and ileum(P<0.01).Compared with the SS group,the CS group showed a reduction in pre-weaning mortality rate,an increase in the number of high-birth-weight piglets,and a decrease in the number of low-birth-weight piglets(P<0.05)under GIT status.In conclusion,sows fed CS decreased stillbirth rate and improved insulin resistance,as well as improving the intestinal morphology and digestive enzyme activities of their progeny,regardless of glucose tolerance status.Additionally,the CS group improved birth weight distribution and decreased pre-weaning mortality rate of piglets under GIT status.Yunyu Yang Ming Deng Jianzhao Chen Xichen Zhao Kaili Xiao Wenliang He Xinggang Qiu Yanzhen Xu Yulong Yin Chengquan Tan 2021Animal Nutrition2021,,4:2

11A novel detection method of Cryptosporidium parvum infection in cattle based on Cryptosporidium parvum virus 1显示文摘Cryptosporidium parvum is an important zoonotic parasite that causes significant economic loss in the animal husbandry industry,especially the cattle industry.As there is no specific vaccine or drug against Cryptosporidium,a rapid and accurate method for the detection of C.parvum is of great significance.In this study,colloidal gold strips were developed based on Cryptosporidium parvum virus 1 (CSpV1) for the detection of C.parvum infection in cattle fecal samples.The colloidal gold solution was prepared by reducing trisodium citrate and the CSpV1 #5 monoclonal antibody was labeled with colloidal gold.A polyclonal antibody against the CSpV1 capsid protein and an anti-mouse IgG antibody were coated on the colloidal gold strips for use in the test and control lines,respectively.Our results showed that the detection sensitivity in fecal samples was up to a 1:64 dilution.There was no cross-reaction with Cryptosporidium andersoni or Giardia in the fecal samples.The different preservation conditions (room temperature,4℃,and 37℃) and preservation time (7,30,60,and 90 days) were analyzed.The data showed that the strips could be preserved for 90 days at 4℃ and for 60 days at room temperature or 37℃.The colloidal gold strips were used to detect the samples of 120 clinical fecal in Changchun,China.The results indicated that the rate of a positive test was 5%(6/120).This study provides a rapid and accurate method for detecting C.parvum infection in cattle and humans.Lixin Tai Jianhua Li Jigang Yin Nan Zhang Ju Yang He Li Zhengtao Yang Pengtao Gong Xichen Zhang 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,1:1

19Locational Pricing of Uncertainty Based on Robust Optimization显示文摘With the increasing penetration of renewables,power systems have to operate with greater flexibility to address the uncertainties of renewable output.This paper develops an uncertainty locational marginal price(ULMP)mechanism to price these uncertainties.They are denoted as box deviation intervals as suggested by the market participants.The ULMP model solves a robust optimal power flow(OPF)problem to clear market bids,aiming to minimize the system cost as a prerequisite that the reserve margin can address all the relevant uncertainties.The ULMP can be obtained as a by-product of the optimization problem from the Lagrange multipliers.Under the ULMP mechanism,renewables and consumers with uncertainty will make extra payments,and the thermals and financial transmission right(FTR)holders will be compensated.It is further shown that the proposed mechanism has preferable properties,such as social efficiency,budget balance and individual rationality.Numerical tests are conducted on the modified IEEE 5-bus and 118-bus systems to demonstrate the merits and applicability of the proposed mechanism.Xichen Fang Ershun Du Kedi Zheng Jiajia Yang Qixin Chen 2021CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,6:0
20Empirical study on directionalmillimeter-wave propagation in vehicle-to-infrastructure communications between road and roadside显示文摘With the increased demand for unmanned driving technology and big-data transmission between vehicles,millimeter-wave(mmWave)technology,due to its characteristics of large bandwidth and low latency,is considered to be the key technology in future vehicular communication systems.Different from traditional cellular communication,the vehicular communication environment has the characteristics of long distance and high moving speed.However,the existing communication channel tests mostly select low-speed and small-range communication scenarios for testing.The test results are insufficient to provide good data support for the existing vehicular communication research;therefore,in this paper,we carry out a large number of channel measurements in mmWave vehicle-toinfrastructure(V2I)long-distance communication scenarios in the 41 GHz band.We study the received signal strength(RSS)in detail and find that the vibration features of RSS can be best modeled by the modified two-path model considering road roughness.Based on the obtained RSS,a novel close-in(CI)model considering the effect of the transmitter(TX)and receiver(RX)antenna heights(CI-TRH model)is developed.As for the channel characteristics,the distribution of the root-mean-square(RMS)delay spread is analyzed.We also extend the twosection exponential power delay profile(PDP)model to a more general form so that the distance-dependent features of the mmWave channel can be better modeled.Furthermore,the variation in both RMS delay spread and PDP shape parameters with TX-RX distance is analyzed.Analysis results show that TX and RX antenna heights have an effect on large-scale fading.Our modified two-path model,CI-TRH model,and two-section exponential PDP model are proved to be effective.Xichen LIU Lin YANG Daizhong YU 2021Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2021,22,4:0
