| 1 | Electrochemical Properties of Electrodes with Different Shapes and Diffusion Kinetic Analysis of Microbial Fuel Cells on Ocean Floor显示文摘Microbial fuel cell(MFC) on the ocean floor is a kind of novel energy-harvesting device that can be developed to drive small instruments to work continuously.The shape of electrode has a great effect on the performance of the MFC.In this paper,several shapes of electrode and cell structure were designed,and their performance in MFC were compared in pairs:Mesh(cell-1) vs.flat plate(cell-2),branch(cell-3) vs.cylinder(cell-4),and forest(cell-5) vs.disk(cell-6) FC.Our results showed that the maximum power densities were 16.50,14.20,19.30,15.00,14.64,and 9.95 mWm-2 for cell-1,2,3,4,5 and 6 respectively.And the corre-sponding diffusion-limited currents were 7.16,2.80,18.86,10.50,18.00,and 6.900 mA.The mesh and branch anodes showed higher power densities and much higher diffusion-limited currents than the flat plate and the cylinder anodes respectively due to the low diffusion hindrance with the former anodes.The forest cathode improved by 47% of the power density and by 161% of diffusion-limited current than the disk cathode due to the former's extended solid/liquid/gas three-phase boundary.These results indicated that the shape of electrode is a major parameter that determining the diffusion-limited current of an MFC,and the differences in the elec-trode shape lead to the differences in cell performance.These results would be useful for MFC structure design in practical applica-tions. | FU Yubin LIU Jia SU Jia ZHAO Zhongkai LIU Yang XU Qian | 2012 | Journal of Ocean University of China2012,11,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Distribution Features of the Nanhua-Sinian Rifts and their Significance to Hydrocarbon Accumulation in the Tarim Basin显示文摘On the basis of reprocessing 34 new two-dimensional spliced long sections(20,191 km) in the Tarim Basin, the deep structure features of the Tarim Basin were analyzed through interpreting 30,451 km of two-dimensional seismic data and compiling basic maps. Seismic interpretation and geological analysis conclude that the Nanhua-Sinian strata are a set of rift-depression depositional systems according to their tectonic and depositional features. The rift valley formed in the Nanhua Period, and the transformation became weaker during the late Sinian Period, which eventually turned into depression. From bottom to top, the deposited strata include mafic igneous, tillite, mudstone, and dolomite. Three major depocenters developed inside this basin during the rift stage and are distributed in the eastern Tarim Basin, the Awati area, and the southwestern Tarim Basin. Among them, the rift in the eastern Tarim Basin strikes in the near east-west direction on the plane and coincides with the aeromagnetic anomaly belt. This represents a strong magnetic zone formed by upwelling basic volcanic rock along high, steep normal faults of the Nanhua Period. Controlled by the tectonic background, two types of sedimentary systems were developed in the rift stage and depression stage, showing two types of sequence features in the Sinian depositional stage. The Nanhua System appears as a wedge-shaped formation, with its bottom in unconformable contact with the base. The rifting event has a strong influence on the current tectonic units in the Tarim Basin, and affects the distribution of source rock in the Yuertus Formation and reservoir beds in the Xiaoerbulake Formation in Lower Cambrian, as well as the gypseous cap rock in Middle Cambrian. The distribution features of the rifts have important and realistic significance for determining the direction of oil and gas exploration in the deep strata of the Tarim Basin. | 3 | An Iterative Learning Approach to Identify Fractional Order KiBaM Model显示文摘This paper discusses the parameter and differentiation order identification of continuous fractional order Ki Ba M models in ARX(autoregressive model with exogenous inputs)and OE(output error model) forms. The least squares method is applied to the identification of nonlinear and linear parameters,in which the Grunwald-Letnikov definition and short memory principle are applied to compute the fractional order derivatives.An adaptive P-type order learning law is proposed to estimate the differentiation order iteratively and accurately. Particularly,a unique estimation result and a fast convergence speed can be arrived by using the small gain strategy, which is unidirectional and has certain advantages than some state-of-art methods. The proposed strategy can be successfully applied to the nonlinear systems with quasi-linear characteristics. | 6 | Functional analysis of the promoter of the dmrt1 gene in Chinese tongue sole,Cynoglossus semilaevis显示文摘The dmrt1 (doublesex and mab-3 related transcription factor 1) gene is considered to play an essential role in testis differentiation and development among metazoan species. As an economically important marine fish in China, Chinese tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) possess a ZW/ZZ sex-determining system, and the females usually grow two to four times bigger than males. Previous studies have confirmed that Z-linked dmrt1 gene is the male determining gene in C. semilaevis and TALENs-mediated knocking-out individuals showed increased growth phenotype. In order to investigate the function of dmrt1 regulatory regions and its potential application, we have cloned the promoter of C. semilaevis dmrt1. The acquired sequence consisted of a 5'-upstream sequence and a partial exon1;functional analysis showed that there were two positive regulatory regions in the promoter, as well as one negative region and one neutral region. These positive regions were then combined to obtain several newly constructed promoters. Both in vitro and in vivo analysis confirmed one of them (dmrt1-Δ3+Δ4) showed elevated promoting activity compared to the full-length promoter and could drive exogenous gene expression in tongue sole gonads. | 9 | Visualization of the electronic phase separation in superconducting K_(x)Fe_(2−y)Se_(2)显示文摘Type-II iron-based superconductors(Fe-SCs),the alkali-metal-intercalated iron selenide A_(x)Fe_(2−y)Se_(2)(A=K,Tl,Rb,etc.)with a superconducting transition temperature of 32 K,exhibit unique properties such as high Néel temperature,Fe-vacancies ordering,antiferromagnetically ordered insulating state in the phase diagram,and mesoscopic phase separation in the superconducting materials.In particular,the electronic and structural phase separation in these systems has attracted intensive attention since it provides a platform to unveil the insulating parent phase of type-II Fe-SCs that mimics the Mott parent phase in cuprates.In this work,we use spatial-and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy to study the electronic structure of superconducting K_(x)Fe_(2−y)Se_(2).We observe clear electronic phase separation of K_(x)Fe_(2−y)Se_(2) into metallic islands and insulating matrix,showing different K and Fe concentrations.While the metallic islands show strongly dispersive bands near the Fermi level,the insulating phase shows an energy gap up to 700 meV and a nearly flat band around 700 meV below the Fermi energy,consistent with previous experimental and theoretical results on the superconducting K_(1−x)Fe_(2)Se_(2)(122 phase)and Fe-vacancy ordered K_(0.8)Fe_(1.6)Se_(2)(245 phase),respectively.Our results not only provide important insights into the mysterious composition of phase-separated superconducting and insulating phases of K_(x)Fe_(2−y)Se_(2),but also present their intrinsic electronic structures,which will shed light on the comprehension of the unique physics in type-II Fe-SCs. | Yujie Chen Juan Jiang Haifeng Yang Pavel Dudin Alexey Barinov Zhongkai Liu Haihu Wen Lexian Yang Yulin Chen | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,3: | 1 |

| 14 | Molecular Cloning, Expression Pattern, and 3D Structural Prediction of the Cold Inducible RNA- Binding Protein(CIRP) in Japanese Flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus)显示文摘Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein(CIRP) is a kind of RNA binding proteins that plays important roles in many physiological processes. The CIRP has been widely studied in mammals and amphibians since it was first cloned from mammals. On the contrary, there are little reports in teleosts. In this study, the Po CIRP gene of the Japanese flounder was cloned and sequenced. The genomic sequence consists of seven exons and six introns. The putative Po CIRP protein of flounder was 198 amino acid residues long containing the RNA recognition motif(RRM). Phylogenetic analysis showed that the flounder Po CIRP is highly conserved with other teleost CIRPs. The 5' flanking sequence was cloned by genome walking and many transcription factor binding sites were identified. There is a Cp Gs region located in promoter and exon I region and the methylation state is low. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis uncovered that Po CIRP gene was widely expressed in adult tissues with the highest expression level in the ovary. The m RNA of the Po CIRP was maternally deposited and the expression level of the gene was regulated up during the gastrula and neurula stages. In order to gain the information how the protein interacts with m RNA, we performed the modeling of the 3D structure of the flounder Po CIRP. The results showed a cleft existing the surface of the molecular. | 16 | Long cycle performance of NC@VN/MnO cathode for AZIBs based on Mn/V relay type collaboration显示文摘Aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs) have received great attention because of their non-toxicity,high safety,low cost,high abundance,and high specific power.However,their specific capacity is still low compared with lithium ion battery,and current academic research interesting has been focused on developing new cathode materials with high specific capacity.In this study,a Mn/V hybrid polymer framework is designed by a simple self-polymerization scheme.During subsequent calcination,ultrafine VN quantum dots and MnO nanoparticles are generated in situ and stably encapsulated inside N-doped carbon(NC) shells to obtain a novel hybrid cathode NC@VN/MnO for AZIBs.According to the density functional theory(DFT) calculation,the hybrids of MnO and VN can generate both interfacial effects and built-in electric fields that significantly accelerate ion and electron transport by tuning the intrinsic electronic structure,thus enhancing electrochemical performance.A synergistic strategy of composition and structural design allows the rechargeable AZIBs to achieve low-cost and excellent long-cycle performance based on a relay type collaboration at different cycling stages.Consequently,the NC@VN/MnO cathode has output a capacity of 108.3 mA h g^(-1)after 12,000 cycles at 10 A g^(-1).These results clearly and fully demonstrate the advantages of the hybrid cathode NC@VN/MnO. | Tingting Li Ruisong Guo Yang Li Leichao Meng Xiaohong Sun Fuyun Li Xinqi Zhao Zhongkai Xu Jianhong Peng Lingyun An | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,8: | 0 |
