1Farmland dataset reconstruction and farmland change analysis in China during 1661-1985显示文摘This research reconstructs China's provincial farmland dataset in the last 300 years(1661–1985) by applying factor correction, citing replacement, linear interpolation, cohesion and contrast, man-land relationship test, farming trend test, provincial administrative area adjustment, etc. on available farmland data based on China's current provincial administrative boundary. Based on this dataset, a quantitative analysis has been applied to study the farmland amount and its change characteristics at both national and provincial level. Three conclusions are derived:(1) Along with the rapid population growth, national farmland amount has increased by about 320% in the last 300 years from 424,480 km2 in the early Qing Dynasty to 1,368,600 km2 in 1985. Comparing with global and national farmland datasets, in terms of the overall trend of national farmland growth, very low deviation exists but significant variances do appear for some provinces.(2) At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, China's farming activities mainly existed in the Yangtze River Plain, the North China Plain, the Guanzhong Basin and the Yinchuan Plain. Thereafter, reclamation activities expanded to outer agricultural areas. Regarding of the growth rate, national farmland increase can be divided into five phases. National policy, disasters, wars, and economic development, are the main factors affecting farmland changes.(3) Significant regional variances exist in farmland changes. 2Criteria for the growth of large-area adlayer-free monolayer graphene films by chemical vapor deposition显示文摘Homogeneity is important to material applications for good performance of individual devices,for making AB-stacked bilayer graphene in a layer-by-layer stacking order,and from the point of view of industrial production.Among many properties to be controlled,for the case of graphene,the thickness(or layer number)uniformity is the prerequisite.Chemical vapor deposition(CVD)of C precursors on Cu substrates is the most popular method to produce large-area graphene films.To date,precise control on the number of graphene layers as well as the uniformity over a large area is still very challenging.In this work,with a further understanding of the factors affecting adlayer growth,the synthesis of large-area adlayer-free monolayer graphene(MLG)films was achieved up to tens of squared centimeters in area by just using untreated Cu foil and a normal CVD process.We found that keeping equal C precursor concentration on the two sides of the Cu substrate is a criterion in addition to other factors such as the ratio of H:C and the substrate surface morphology for the growth of adlayer-free MLG.This finding is not only of great significance for the industrial production of large-area adlayer-free MLG films but also instructive for the synthesis of homogeneous few-layer graphene.Changqing Shen Xingzhou Yan Fangzhu Qing Xiaobin Niu Richard Stehle Samuel S.Mao Wanli Zhang Xuesong Li 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3:2
3Rabies Virus Pseudotyped with CVS-N2C Glycoprotein as a Powerful Tool for Retrograde Neuronal Network Tracing显示文摘Efficient viral vectors for mapping and manipulating long-projection neuronal circuits are crucial in structural and functional studies of the brain. The SAD strain rabies virus with the glycoprotein gene deleted pseudotyped with the N2 C glycoprotein(SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G)) shows strong neuro-tropism in cell culture, but its in vivo efficiency for retrograde gene transduction and neuro-tropism have not been systematically characterized.We compared these features in different mouse brain regions for SAD-RV-N2 C(G) and two other widely-used retrograde tracers, SAD-RV(DG)-B19(G) and r AAV2-retro. We found that SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G) enhanced the infection efficiency of long-projecting neurons by^10 times but with very similar neuro-tropism, compared with SAD-RV(DG)-B19(G). On the other hand, SAD-RV(DG)-N2 C(G) had an infection efficiency comparable with r AAV2-retro, but a more restricted diffusion range, and broader tropism to different types and regions of longprojecting neuronal populations. 4Impaired Parahippocampal Gyrus-Orbitofrontal Cortex Circuit Associated with Visuospatial Memory Deficit as a Potential Biomarker and Interventional Approach for Alzheimer Disease显示文摘The parahippocampal gyrus-orbitofrontal cortex(PHG-OFC)circuit in humans is homologous to the postrhinal cortex(POR)-ventral lateral orbitofrontal cortex(vlOFC)circuit in rodents.Both are associated with visuospatial malfunctions in Alzheimer’s disease(AD).However,the underlying mechanisms remain to be elucidated.In this study,we explored the relationship between an impaired POR-vlOFC circuit and visuospatial memory deficits through retrograde tracing and in vivo local field potential recordings in 5XFAD mice,and investigated alterations of the PHG-OFC circuit by multi-domain magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in patients on the AD spectrum.We demonstrated that an impaired glutamatergic POR-vlOFC circuit resulted in deficient visuospatial memory in 5XFAD mice.Moreover,MRI measurements of the PHG-OFC circuit had an accuracy of 77.33%for the classification of amnestic mild cognitive impairment converters versus non-converters.Thus,the PHG-OFC circuit explains the neuroanatomical basis of visuospatial memory deficits in AD,thereby providing a potential predictor for AD progression and a promising interventional approach for AD.Lin Zhu Zan Wang Zhanhong Du Xinyang Qi Hao Shu Duan Liu Fan Su Qing Ye Xuemei Liu Zheng Zhou Yongqiang Tang Ru Song Xiaobin Wang Li Lin Shijiang Li Ying Han Liping Wang Zhijun Zhang 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,8:2
5Quantitative estimation and spatial reconstruction of urban and rural construction land in Jiangsu Province, 1820-1985显示文摘Land cover is the most evident landscape signal to characterize the influence of human activities on terrestrial ecosystems.Since the industrial revolution,the expansion of construction land has profoundly changed the status of land use coverage and changes.This study is proposed to reconstruct the spatial pattern of construction land(urban construction land and rural settlement land)for five historical periods over the past 200 years in Jiangsu Province with 200 m′200 m grids on the basis of quantitative estimation.Urban construction land is estimated based on data about city walls,four gates along walls,and other socio-economic factors.Rural settlement land is calculated based on the rural population and per capita housing allowance.The spatial pattern of historical construction land is simulated based on the distribution of modern construction land in 1985 with a quantitative-boundarysuitability control method and thorough consideration over connectivity of different land use types.The study concludes that:(1)the amount of construction land in Jiangsu Province is estimated at 963.46 km^2 in 1820,1043.46 km^2 in 1911,1672.40 km^2 in 1936,1980.34 km^2 in1952 and 10,687.20 km^2 in 1985;and(2)the spatial distribution of construction land features the great proclivity to water bodies and main roads and the strong polarization of existent residence.The results are verified directly and indirectly by applying the trend verification of construction land changes and patterns,the correlation analysis between rural settlement land and local arable land,and quantitative accuracy test of the reconstructed construction land to actual historical survey maps covering four sample regions in 1936.XIE Jinyuan JIN Xiaobin LIN Yinan CHENG Yinong YANG Xuhong BAI Qing ZHOU Yinkang 2017Journal of Geographical Sciences2017,27,10:1
6Interannual Variability of SST,SLA and Wind Waves in the Hawaii Area and Their Responses to ENSO显示文摘Time series of sea surface temperature (SST),wind speed and significant wave height (SWH) from meteorological buoys of the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) are useful for studying the interannual variability and trend of these quantities at the buoy areas. The measurements from 4 buoys (B51001,B51002,B51003 and B51004) in the Hawaii area are used to study the responses of the quantities to EI Ni?o and Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Long-term averages of these data reflect precise seasonal and climatological characteristics of SST,wind speed and SWH around the Hawaii area. Buoy observations from B51001 suggest a significant warming trend which is,however,not very clear from the other three buoys. Compared with the variability of SST and SWH,the wind speeds from the buoy observations show an increasing trend. The impacts of EI Nio on SST and wind waves are also shown. Sea level data observed by altimeter during October 1992 to September 2006 are analyzed to investigate the variability of sea level in the Hawaii area. The results also show an increasing trend in sea level anomaly (SLA). The low-passed SLA in the Hawaii area is consistent with the inverse phase of the low-passed SOI (Southern Oscillation Index). 7A clinical study on salvage hepatectomy for treating recurrent liver cancer after radiofrequency ablation显示文摘Objective We studied the efficacy of salvage hepatectomy for treating recurrent hepatic cancer after radiofrequency ablation(RFA). Methods A retrospective analysis of 67 patients who had recurrent liver cancer after RFA treatment and received salvage hepatectomy in the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Southwest Hospital, Third Military Medical University(China), from January 2006 to January 2014, was performed. The analysis included patient gender, age, hepatitis type, alpha-fetoprotein(AFP), and TNM stage prior to RFA and salvage hepatectomy, overall survival rates, and tumor-free survival rates after salvage hepatectomy. Results Among the 67 patients, there were 57 cases of hepatitis B, two cases of hepatitis C, and eight cases did not have hepatitis. AFP levels in patients ranged from 3 to 4521 ng/m L(median 33 ng/m L). Before RFA, 54 cases were stage I tumors, and 13 were stage II tumors. Tumor sizes varied from 0.82 to 4.83 cm(median 3.0 cm). In 20 cases, one RFA was performed, and for 47 cases, RFA was repeated. RFAablated region diameters ranged from 3.8 to 5.2 cm(median 4.5 cm). The interval between the salvage surgical resection and RFA was 3–37 months. Before salvage hepatectomy, 23 stage I tumors, 12 stage II tumors, and 32 stage III tumors were present(size ranged 4.83–11.84 cm; median 6.3 cm). For salvage hepatectomy, laparotomy was performed for 56 cases, and laparoscopy was performed for 28 cases. Inflow clamping was performed for 39 cases(15–45 min). Surgery was 219–370 min and intraoperative blood loss was 100–2100 m L. For 13 cases, intraoperative blood transfusion was required. Tumor pathological data revealed 31, 35, and 1 poorly, moderately, and well differentiated tumors, respectively. No patients died due to operative complications, and hospital stays were 8–10 days. Overall and tumor-free survival rates were 85% and 79% for 1 year, 50% and 20% for 3 years, and 39% and 19% for 5 years, respectively. KaplanMeier analysis and Cox regression confirmed that tumor number and size prior to salvage liver cancer were risk factors affecting survival. 11Single-cell landscape analysis reveals distinct regression trajectories and novel prognostic biomarkers in primary neuroblastoma显示文摘Neuroblastoma(NB),which is the most common pediatric extracranial solid tumor,varies widely in its clinical presentation and outcome.NB has a unique ability to spontaneously differentiate and regress,suggesting a potential direction for therapeutic intervention.However,the underlying mechanisms of regression remain largely unknown,and more reliable prognostic biomarkers are needed for predicting trajectories for NB.We performed scRNAseq analysis on 17 NB clinical samples and three peritumoral adrenal tissues.Primary NB displayed varied cell constitution,even among tumors of the same pathological subtype.Copy number variation patterns suggested that neuroendocrine cells represent the malignant cell type.Based on the differential expression of sets of related marker genes,a subgroup of neuroendocrine cells was identified and projected to differentiate into a subcluster of benign fibroblasts with highly expressed CCL2 and ZFP36,supporting a progressive pathway of spontaneous NB regression.We also identified prognostic markers(STMN2,TUBA1A,PAGE5,and ETV1)by evaluating intra-tumoral heterogeneity.Lastly,we determined that ITGB1 in M2-like macrophages was associated with favorable prognosis and may serve as a potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target.In conclusion,our findings reveal novel mechanisms underlying regression and potential prognostic markers and therapeutic targets of NB.Qingqing Liu Zhenni Wang Yan Jiang Fengling Shao Yue Ma Mingzhao Zhu Qing Luo Yang Bi Lijian Cao Liang Peng Jianwu Zhou Zhenzhen Zhao Xiaobin Deng Tong-Chuan He Shan Wang 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,6:0
12Estimation of wind speeds inside Super Typhoon Nepartak from AMSR2 low-frequency brightness temperatures显示文摘Accurate estimations of typhoon-level winds are highly desired over the westem Pacific Ocean.A wind speed retrieval algorithm is used to retrieve the wind speeds within Super Typhoon Nepartak (2016)using 6.9- and 10.7-GHz brightness temperatures from the Japanese Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2 (AMSR2) sensor on board the Global Change Observation Mission-Water 1 (GCOM-Wl)satellite.The results show that the retrieved wind speeds clearly represent the intensification process of Super Typhoon Nepartak.A good agreement is found between the retrieved wind speeds and the Soil Moisture Active Passive wind speed product.The mean bias is 0.51 m/s,and the root-mean-square difference is 1.93 m/s between them.The retrieved maximum wind speeds are 59.6 m/s at 04:45 UTC on July 6 and 71.3 m/s at 16:58 UTC on July 6.The two results demonstrate good agreement with the results reported by the China Meteorological Administration and the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.In addition,Feng-Yun 2G (FY-2G) satellite infrared images,Feng-Yun 3C (FY-3C)microwave atmospheric sounder data,and AMSR2 brightness temperature images are also used to describe the development and structure of Super Typhoon Nepartak.Lei ZHANG Xiaobin YIN Hanqing SH Zhenzhan WANG Qing XU 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1:0

14Effect of organophilic group of coupling agent on the electrical performance of Boron Nitride/meta-aramid composite paper显示文摘Organophilic groups of coupling agents can be the key factor for the electrical performance of Boron Nitride(BN)/meta-aramid composite paper.In this article,four types of triethoxy-silane coupling agents with different organophilic groups,including mercaptopropyl(MP),glycidylether-propyl(GP),amino-propyl(AP)and trideca-fluoro-octyl(TFO)were studied.The structural and electrical properties of modified papers were compared,and the molecular simulation was conducted to reveal the interface interaction of modified BN and aramid.The results show that AP,GP and MP follow the same mechanism,improving the electrical performance by modifying the interface stability and paper structure,and the ranks of improving effects are AP,MP and GP.While,TFO mainly relies on the fluorine components to implement the electrical reinforcement,which compensates for the shortcoming in the paper structure.By choosing TFO and filler content of 15 wt%,the optimal breakdown strength of the paper can be increased to 28.17 kV/mm,1.8 times that of the paper doped with the hydroxylated BN.Haoou Ruan Qing Xie Jingxuan Song Shenghui Wang Xiaobin Chang Yuqin Xu Fangcheng Lü 2023High Voltage2023,8,4:0
