| 1 | Polyphase Tectonic Events and Cenozoic Basin-Range Coupling in the Tianshan Belt,Northwestern China显示文摘Studies show that the Tianshan orogenic belt was built in the late stage of the Paleozoic, as evidenced by thePermian red molasses and foreland basins, which are distributed in parallel with the Tianshan belt, indicating that anintense folding and uplifting event took place. During the Triassic, this orogenic belt was strongly eroded, and basins werefurther developed. Starting from the Jurassic, a within-plate regional extension occurred, forming a series of Jurassic-Paleogene extensional basins in the peneplaned Tianshan region. Since the Neogene, a collision event between the Indianand the Eurasian plates that took place on the southern side of the Tianshan belt has caused a strong intra-continentalorogeny, which is characterized by thrusting and folding. Extremely thick coarse conglomerate and sandy conglomerate ofthe Xiyu Formation of Neogene System were accumulated unconformably on the Tianshan piedmont. Studies haverevealed that the strong compression caused by the Indian-Eurasian collision had a profound influence over the orogenicbelt in the hinterland, and Mesozoic-Cenozoic brittle deformed structures superposed on the ductile deformed Paleozoicrocks. The Mesozoic extensional basins were converted into Cenozoic compressional basins. The deformation in thebasins is featured by step thrusts and fault-related folds. Statistics of joints show that the principal compressive stress sincethe Neogene is in a N-S direction. Meanwhile, owing to the underthrusting of the basin toward the orogenic belt, thePaleozoic strata were thrust on the Meso-Cenozoic rocks as tectonic slices, revealing distinct kinematic features indifferent geologic units. The basin-range coupling zones are characterized by intensive compression, folding and thrusting,accompanied by local sub-E-W-trending strike-slip faults. In the Tianshan region, Cenozoic thrusting is the most commonbasin-range coupling mode. The results show that the electron transport and the oxygen-evolving rate of PSⅡ are accelerated after it has been treated with nano-anatase TiO2; the UV-Vis absorption spectrum of PSⅡ particles is increased; the red shift of fluorescence emission peak of PSⅡ is 2 nm; the peak intensity is decreased; the PSⅡ signal Ⅱs of low temperature electron paramagnetic resonanace(EPR) spectrum is intensified under light, and the PSⅡ circular dichroism(CD) spectrum is similar to that of control. | 7 | Adsorption of Pb, Cd to Fe, Mn oxides in natural freshwater surface coatings developed in different seasons显示文摘Metal oxides(Fe, Mn oxides) in natural surface coatings(biofilms and associated minerals) are believed to play a significant role in the fate and transport of trace metal in aquatic environments. Seasonal variation of Fe, Mn oxides and organic materials in surface coatings, which were developed periodically on glass slides in Nanhu Lake, Jilin Province, China over the time frame of three seasons, was investigated in order to understand the influence of metal oxides on Pb and Cd adsorption to heterogeneous surface coating materials(biofilm). Pb and Cd adsorption was measured under controlled laboratory conditions(mineral salts solution with defined speciation, ionic strength 0 05 mol/L, 25℃ and pH 6 0). The classical Langmuir adsorption isotherm was applied to estimate equilibrium coefficients of Pb and Cd adsorption to the surface coatings. In general, components in the surface coatings varied greatly with seasons altering and obtained higher concentrations in summer while the content of iron oxides always exceeded that of manganese oxides. Correlation analyses between the maximum adsorption of Pb and Cd and components in the surface coatings developed periodically indicated that Pb phase association with Mn oxides and Cd phase association with Fe oxides as well as Mn oxides were statistically significant. Effect of Mn oxides on Cd adsorption was confirmed in view of its higher content in the surface coatings. | 8 | Multitaper spectral method to estimate the elastic thickness of South China: Implications for intracontinental deformation显示文摘The effective elastic thickness(Te) represents the thickness of the elastic layer or the flexural rigidity of the lithosphere, the equivalent of which can be calculated from the spectral analysis of gravity and topographic data. Studies of Te have profound influence on intracontinental deformation, and coupling of the tectonic blocks. In this paper, we use the multitaper spectral estimation method to calculate the coherence between Bouguer gravity and topography data, and to obtain the Te map of South China.Through the process of correction, we discuss the relationships of Te versus heat flow, and Te versus seismicity. The results show that Te distribution of South China is affected by three factors: the original age, which controls the basic feature; the Mesozoic evolution, which affects the Te distribution; and the neotectonic movement, which shaped the final distribution. The crust age has a positive correlation with the first-order Te distribution; thus the Yangtze Craton has a relatively higher Te(about 50 km) whereas the Te in Cathaysia block is only 10-20 km. By analysis and comparison among the tectonic models of South China, the Te distribution can be well explained using the flat-subduction model. As is typical with neotectonics, the region with a higher heat flow is related with a lower Te. The seismicity does not have a clear relationship with Te, but the strong seismicity could cause a low Te. However, in the clinic, recurrence and metastasis of oral cancer occur after radiotherapy, and the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Cancer stem cells(CSCs), considered the 'seeds'of cancer, have been confirmed to be in a quiescent state in most established tumours, with their innate radioresistance helping them survive more easily when exposed to radiation than differentiated cancer cells. There is increasing evidence that CSCs play an important role in recurrence and metastasis post-radiotherapy in many cancers. However, little is known about how oral CSCs cause tumour recurrence and metastasis post-radiotherapy. | 13 | A low power global shutter pixel with extended FD voltage swing range for large format high speed CMOS image sensor显示文摘A low power 8T global shutter pixel with extended FD voltage swing range is proposed for large format high speed CMOS image sensor. The pixel has a negative threshold reset transistor, two in-pixel source followers, and a sample-and-hold circuit. The in-pixel first source follower is employed for reducing the pixel average current and maximum transient current. The negative threshold reset transistor is applied to extend the voltage swing of FD. Using pixel level sample-and-hold circuit, the k TC noise on FD node can be effectively nullified by correlated double sampling operation. A high speed 1000 fps 256×256 CMOS image sensor is implemented in 0.18 μm CMOS process. Two 10-bit cyclic ADC arrays are integrated in this prototype sensor chip. The active area of the chip is 10 mm×7 mm with a pixel size of 14 μm×14 μm. The developed sensor achieves an average current of 23 n A per pixel, a maximum transit current per pixel as low as 1113 n A, and a large FD voltage swing of 1.78 V. | 15 | The involvement of PybZIPa in light-induced anthocyanin accumulation via the activation of PyUFGT through binding to tandem G-boxes in its promoter显示文摘To gain insight into how anthocyanin biosynthesis is controlled by light in fruit,transcriptome and metabolome analyses were performed in the Chinese sand pear cultivar“Mantianhong”(Pyrus pyrifolia)after bagging and bag removal.We investigated transcriptional and metabolic changes and gene-metabolite correlation networks.Correlation tests of anthocyanin content and transcriptional changes revealed that 1,530 transcripts were strongly correlated with 15 anthocyanin derivatives(R2>0.9,P-value<0.05),with the top 130 transcripts categorized as being associated with flavonoid metabolism,transcriptional regulation,and light signaling.The connection network revealed a new photosensitive transcription factor,PybZIPa,that might play an important role during light-induced anthocyanin accumulation.The overexpression of PybZIPa promoted anthocyanin accumulation in pear and strawberry fruit as well as tobacco leaves.Dual luciferase and Y1H assays further verified that PybZIPa directly activated the expression of PyUFGT by binding to tandem G-box motifs in the promoter,which was key to differential anthocyanin accumulation in debagged pear skin,and the number of G-box motifs affected the transcriptional activation of PyUFGT by PybZIPa.The results indicate that the light-induced anthocyanin biosynthesis regulatory mechanism in pear differs from that described in previous reports suggesting that a bZIP family member co-regulates anthocyanin biosynthesis with other transcription factors in apple and Arabidopsis.It was found that,in response to light,PybZIPa promoted anthocyanin biosynthesis by regulating important transcription factors(PyMYB114,PyMYB10,and PyBBX22)as well as structural genes(PyUFGT)via binding to G-boxes within promoters.This activation was amplified by the self-binding of PybZIPa to activate its own promoter.Overall,we demonstrate the utility of a multiomics integrative approach for discovering new functional genes and pathways underlying light-induced anthocyanin biosynthesis. | Hainan Liu Jun Su Yangfan Zhu Gaifang Yao Andrew C.Allan Charles Ampomah-Dwamena Qun Shu Kui Lin-Wang Shaoling Zhang Jun Wu | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 3 |

| 17 | Observation of Long-term Efficacy of Corneal Limbal Conjunctival Autografts in Microscopy Treatments of Pterygium显示文摘Purpose: To compare the long-term efficacy of a corneal limbal conjunctival autograft combined with pterygium excision in the treatment of primary pterygium. Methods: This random control study included 63 patients (63 eyes) with primary pterygium. These were randomly divided into a group with corneal limbal conjunctival autograft combined with pterygium excision (group A) and a group with pterygium excision with exposed sclera (group B) and subjected to long-term follow up. The surgical outcomes were classified and evaluated (grade Ⅰ-Ⅳ). Several indexes were analyzed, including ocular surface irritation symptom,tear film stability, surgical complication, and recurrence rate. Results: The follow up ranged from 24 to 38 months, (26.9± 3.4) months on average. No recurrence was noted at 6 weeks postoperatively. At 6 months postoperatively, the recurrence rate of pterygium was 5.2% in group A and 8.0% in group B. At 1 year postoperatively, the recurrence rate in group A was 10.5% and 20.0% in group B. At the end of follow up, the recurrence rates were 13.1% in group A and 24.0% in group B. No statistical significance was found between two groups regarding the recurrence rates at each time point (P>0.05). After the follow up. (> 2 years),the severity of ocular surface conditions was significantly milder in patients in group A than in group B (P <0.01).No statistically significant differences were noted between the two groups at 6 weeks,6 months, and 1 year after surgery. No statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups regarding postoperative tear film break-up time. Fewer postoperative complications and milder ocular surface irritation symptoms occurred in patients in group A. | 19 | Directional construction of Cu2S branch arrays for advanced oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Metal sulphide electrocatalyst is considered as one of the most promising low-cost candidates for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).In this work,we report a novel free-standing Cu2S branch array via a facile TiO2-induced electrodeposition-sulfurization method.Interestingly,cross-linked Cu2S nanoflake branch is strongly anchored on the TiO2 backbone forming high-quality Cu2S/TiO2/Cu2S core-branch arrays.The branch formation mechanism is also proposed.As compared to the pure Cu2S nanowire arrays,the asprepared Cu2S/TiO2/Cu2S core-branch arrays show much better alkaline OER performance with lower overpotential(284 mV at 10 mA cm^-2)and smaller Tafel slope(72 dec-1)as well as enhanced longterm durability mainly due to larger exposed area and more active electrocatalytic sites.Our work provides a new way for construction of advanced metal sulphide electrocatalysts for electrochemical energy conversion. | Shengjue Deng Yanbin Shen Dong Xie Yangfan Lu Xiaolong Yu Liang Yang Xiuli Wang Xinhui Xia Jiangping Tu | 2019 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,12: | 3 |
