| 1 | Influence of Preparation Technology on the Structure and Phase Composition of MoSi_2-Mo_5Si_3 /SiC Multi-coating for Carbon/Carbon Composites显示文摘Oxidation protective MoSi 2 -Mo 5 Si 3 /SiC multi-coatings for carbon/carbon composites were prepared by chemical vapor reaction and slurry-sintering method. The influence of preparation technology on the structure and phase composition of the coating was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses, and then their relationship was discussed. The results indicate that the Si/Mo ratio of the slurry and sintering processing were two main factors that significantly affected the structure and phase composition of the multi-coating. Appropriate sintering process and relatively high Si/Mo ratio were essential for preparing the multi-coating with dense structure and favorable phase composition. After being sintered at 1723 K for 2 h and with the Si/Mo ratio of the slurry being 4.5 (weight ratio), a dense structure accompanied by favorable phase composition of the coating can be obtained. When heat treated at 2373 K for 1 h, this coating became more compact and continuous. | 3 | Three-dimensional carbon framework as high-proportion sulfur host for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are anticipated as one of the most promising candidates for the highenergy-density storage systems.However,the insulating nature and shuttling effect of sulfur severely limits their performance.The incorporation of sulfur with carbon materials has been deemed as one of the most powerful strategies to improve electrical conductivity and suppress soluble polysulfide shuttling.Herein,a novel three-dimensional carbon framework(3DCF)is prepared and employed as a sulfur host(3DCF@S)for Li-S batteries.The 3DCF not only supplies abundant paths for lithium ion diffusion and electron transport,but also strengthens polysulfide immobilization during the lithium/sulfur conversion reactions.As a result,the 3DCF@S with high sulfur content of 90%exhibits a high capacity of 1366 mA h/g at 0.1 C and excellent cycling stability with a satisfactory capacity of 601 mA h/g after 600 cycles at 2.0 C.The resultant Li-S button battery based 3DCF@S electrode could power a light-emitting diode for 2 h.The acquired 3DCF@S is expected to be widely used in Li-S batteries and this study will promote developments of carbon/sulfur composites for Li-S batteries. | Xianbin Liu Zechen Xiao Changgan Lai Shuai Zou Ming Zhang Kaixi Liu Yanhong Yin Tongxiang Liang Ziping Wu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,13: | 4 |
| 4 | Validation of the Nanjing Criteria for Diagnosing Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids-induced Hepatic Sinusoidal Obstruction Syndrome显示文摘Background and Aims:Hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome(HSOS)is caused by toxic injury to sinusoidal endothelial cells in the liver.The intake of pyrrolizidine alkaloids(PAs)in some Chinese herbal remedies/plants remains the major etiology for HSOS in China.Recently,new diagnostic criteria for PA-induced HSOS(i.e.PA-HSOS)have been developed;however,the efficacy has not been clinically validated.This study aimed to assess the performance of the Nanjing criteria for PA-HSOS.Methods:Data obtained from consecutive patients in multiple hospitals,which included 86 PA-HSOS patients and 327 patients with other liver diseases,were retrospectively analyzed.Then,the diagnostic performance of the Nanjing criteria and simplified Nanjing criteria were evaluated and validated.The study is registered in www.chictr.org.cn(ID:ChiCTR1900020784).Results:The Nanjing criteria have a sensitivity and specificity of 95.35%and 100%,respectively,while the simplified Nanjing criteria have a sensitivity and specificity of 96.51%and 96.33%,respectively,for the diagnosis of PA-HSOS.Notably,a proportion of patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome(11/49)was misdiagnosed as PA-HSOS on the basis of the simplified Nanjing criteria,and this was mainly due to the overlapping features in the enhanced computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging examinations.Furthermore,most of these patients(10/11)had occlusion or thrombosis of the hepatic vein,and communicating vessels in the liver were found in 8/11 patients,which were absent in PA-HSOS patients.Conclusions:The Nanjing criteria and simplified Nanjing criteria exhibit excellent performance in diagnosing PA-HSOS.Thus,both could be valuable diagnostic tools in clinical practice. | Wei Zhang Lu Liu Ming Zhang Feng Zhang Chunyan Peng Bin Zhang Jun Chen Lin Li Jian He Jiangqiang Xiao Yanhong Feng Xunjiang Wang Aizhen Xiong Li Yang Xiaoping Zou Yuecheng Yu Yuzheng Zhuge | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,3: | 4 |
| 5 | CPTA treatment reveals potential transcription factors associated with carotenoid metabolism in flowers of Osmanthus fragrans显示文摘Osmanthus fragrans is one of the top ten traditional flowers in China.It is divided into three different groups according to its color.α-Carotene and β-carotene are the main determinants to distinguish the color differences between three groups.However,the dominant genes and transcription factors involved in carotenoid metabolism remain unclear.CPTA treatment(0.7mmol·L−1)remarkably promoted lycopene,α-carotene and β-carotene contents in flowers.Transcriptome sequencing analysis revealed that CPTA treatment could trigger chain reactions in carotenoid metabolism pathway genes.Four up-regulated and 10 down-regulated transcription factors which have close association with carotenoid variation were significantly induced by CPTA treatment.The up-regulated TFs such as MYB43,MYB123,HSF,were further subjected to transcript expression determination in different cultivars with drastic colors.Among them,transcript expression of four up-regulated TFs coincided with the carotenoid accumulation in different cultivars.We selected up-regulated OfMYB43 to verify its function,which is related to stress tolerance and transcriptional regulation.Transient overexpression of OfMYB43 in O.fragrans flowers showed that it could remarkably promote the expression of PDS,ZISO,LCYE and CCD4,leading to increased accumulation of β-branch carotenoids.OfMYB43 was a potential positive regulator of carotenoid biosynthesis in O.fragrans flowers.This study provides insight into the molecular mechanism of carotenoid metabolism in O.fragrans. | Wan Xi Yanhong He Linlin Zhu Shiyang Hu Shuyi Xiong Yi Zhang Jingjing Zou Hongguo Chen Caiyun Wang Riru Zheng | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,5: | 3 |
| 6 | Highly stable femtosecond pulse generation from a MXene Ti_3C_2T_x(T = F, O, or OH) mode-locked fiber laser显示文摘Ultrafast fiber lasers are in great demand for various applications, such as optical communication, spectroscopy,biomedical diagnosis, and industrial fabrication. Here, we report the highly stable femtosecond pulse generation from a MXene mode-locked fiber laser. We have prepared the high-quality Ti_3C_2 T_x nanosheets via the etching method, and characterized their ultrafast dynamics and broadband nonlinear optical responses. The obvious intensity-and wavelength-dependent nonlinear responses have been observed and investigated. In addition, a highly stable femtosecond fiber laser with signal-to-noise ratio up to 70.7 dB and central wavelength of 1567.3 nm has been delivered. | 7 | A new long-acting GLP-1 derivative KTP ameliorates hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia and improves pancreas and fatty liver in db/db mice显示文摘Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a polypeptide incretin hormone that glucose-dependently promotes the secretion and synthesis of insulin. However, its half-life is extremely short. To enhance its half-life, we developed a long-acting GLP-1 derivative KTP with controlled release, designed on the basis of another GLP-1 derivative GP62. The kinetics and bioactivity of KTP were evaluated in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats. Long-term treatment of KTP was performed in db/db mice. Mice were treated twice daily with subcutaneous injections of KTP (1.2 mg/kg body weight), Exendin-4 (0.1 mg/kg body weight) or vehicle (phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.4) for 60 d. KTP had a longer half-life, as well as further increasing the secretion and production of insulin and reducing blood glucose concentrations, than GP62. | 16 | Influence of the Calmodulin Antagonist EBB on Cyclin B1 and Cdc2-p34 in Human Drug-resistant Breast Cancer MCF-7/ADR Cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the influence of O-(4-ethoxyl-butyl)- berbamine(EBB)on the expression of cyclin B1 and cdc2-p34 in the human drug-resistant breast cancer MCF-7/ADR cell line. METHODS The MTT assay was used to assess the cytotoxicity of EBB.Different levels of EBB were added to different cell lines at series of time points solely or combined with doxorubicin(DOX) to detect the effect on the expression of cyclinB1 and cdc2-p34 by Western blots.cdc2-p34 tyrosine phosphorylation was detected by immunoprecipitation.In addition,apoptosis and cytoplastic Ca 2+ concentrations were systematically examined by laser scanning confocal microscopy(LSCM). RESULTS EBB showed little inhibitory activity on human umbilical vein endothelial cells(ECV304),whereas EBB inhibited cell growth(IC50 range,4.55~15.74μmol/L)in a variety of sensitive and drug-resistance cell lines.EBB also down-regulated the expression of cyclin B1 and cdc2-p34 in a concentration and time dependent manner,which was an important reason for the G2/M phase arrest.EBB was shown to induce apoptosis of MCF-7/ADR cells while increasing the level of cytoplastic Ca 2+ . | 18 | Differential immune responses of Monochamus alternatus against symbiotic and entomopathogenic fungi显示文摘Monochamus alternates,the main vector beetles of invasive pinewood nematode,has established a symbiotic relationship with a native ectotrophic fungal symbiont,Sporothrix sp.1,in China.The immune response ofM.alternates to S.sp.1 in the coexistence of beetles and fungi is,however,unknown.Here,we report that immune responses ofM.alternates pupae to infection caused by ectotrophic symbiotic fungus S.sp.1 and entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana differ significantly.The S.sp.1 did not kill the beetles while B.bassiana killed all upon injection.The transcriptome results showed that the numbers of differentially expressed genes in M.alternates infected with S.sp.1 were 2-fold less than those infected with B.bassiana at 48 hours post infection.It was noticed that Toll and IMD pathways played a leading role in the beetle's immune system when infected by symbiotic fungus,but upon infection by entomopathogenic fungus,only the Toll pathway gets triggered actively.Furthermore,the beetles could tolerate the infection of symbiotic fungi by retracing their Toll and IMD pathways at 48 h.This study provided a comprehensive sequence resource ofM.alternates transcriptome for further study of the immune interactions between host and associated fungi. | Wei Zhang Jie Meng Jing Ning Peijun Qin Jiao Zhou Zhen Zou Yanhong Wang Hong Jiang Faheem Ahmad Lilin Zha Jianghua Sun | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,8: | 0 |
