1Tagging single nucleotide polymorphisms in the PPAR-γ and RXR-α gene and type 2 diabetes risk:a case-control study of a Chinese Han population显示文摘Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR-γ),which is mainly involved in adipocyte differentiation, has been suggested to play an important role in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance and atherosclerosis. We investigated the frequencies of two common tagging polymorphisms of the PPAR-γ gene and two of PPAR-α with minor allele frequency (MAF)≥ 0.05 in the Chinese Han population and analyzed the correlation between the different genotypes and the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). TaqMan assay was performed to test the genotypes in T2DM patients (n = 1,105) and normal controls (n = 1,107). Serum adiponectin concentration was measured by ELISA kit. The variant genotypes rs17817276GG, rs3856806CT and rs3856806CT/TT of PPAR-γ were associated with T2DM, P = 0.023,0.037 and 0.018, respectively. Furthermore, the prevalence of haplotype GT in PPAR-γ was less frequent in the case subjects (0.3%) than in the controls (1.9%) [P < 0.001,OR(95%CI)=0.13 (0.06-0.31)]. Patients with genotype TT of rs3856806 had a higher serum level of adiponectin than those with the genotype CC and CT (P = 0.031 and 0.038, respectively). There was no statistically significant difference between patients and controls in genotype distribution of rs6537944 and rs1045570 of the RXR-α gene. 3Application of the back-error propagation artificial neural network(BPANN) on genetic variants in the PPAR-γ and RXR-α gene and risk of metabolic syndrome in a Chinese Han population显示文摘This study was aimed to explore the associations between the combined effects of several polymorphisms in the PPAR-γ and RXR-α gene and environmental factors with the risk of metabolic syndrome by back-error propagation artificial neural network(BPANN).We established the model based on data gathered from metabolic syndrome patients(n = 1012) and normal controls(n = 1069) by BPANN.Mean impact value(MIV) for each input variable was calculated and the sequence of factors was sorted according to their absolute MIVs.Generalized multifactor dimensionality reduction(GMDR) confirmed a joint effect of PPAR-γ and RXR-α based on the results from BPANN.By BPANN analysis,the sequences according to the importance of metabolic syndrome risk factors were in the order of body mass index(BMI).serum adiponectin,rs4240711,gender,rs4842194,family history of type 2 diabetes,rs2920502,physical activity,alcohol drinking,rs3856806,family history of hypertension,rsl045570,rs6537944,age,rsl7817276,family history of hyperlipidemia,smoking,rs1801282 and rs3132291.However,no polymorphism was statistically significant in multiple logistic regression analysis.After controlling for environmental factors,A_1,A_2,B_1 and B_2(rs4240711,rs4842194,rs2920502 and rs3856806) models were the best models(cross-validation consistency 10/10,P = 0.0107) with the GMDR method.In conclusion,the interaction of the PPAR-γ and RXR-α gene could play a role in susceptibility to metabolic syndrome.A more realistic model is obtained by using BPANN to screen out determinants of diseases of multiple etiologies like metabolic syndrome.Xu Zhao Kang Xu Hui Shi Jinluo Cheng Jianhua Ma Yanqin Gao Qian Li Xinhua Ye Ying Lu Xiaofang Yu Juan Du Wencong Du Qing Ye Ling Zhou 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,2:3

13Magnetic-conductive bi-gradient structure design of CP/PGFF/Fe 3 O 4 composites for highly absorb e d EMI shielding and balanced mechanical strength显示文摘Developing excellent absorption-dominant electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding composites is an urgent demand for the rapid development of 5 G technology and electronic equipment.Herein,a simple strategy is employed to fabricate carbon nanotubes-polypropylene fibers(CP)/polypropylene-glass fibers felt(PGFF)/Fe 3 O 4 composites with superior EMI shielding effectiveness and low reflection due to the magnetic-conductive bi-gradient structure which is naturally formed by deposition during the vacuum-assisted filtration process.The difference in dimensionality between one-dimensional CNT with outstand-ing electrical conductivity and zero-dimensional magnetic Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles is the theoretical basis for the successful construction of the magnetic-conductive bi-gradient structure in a gap-rich PGFF matrix that endows the composites with“absorb-reflect-reabsorb”EMI shieldingmechanism.Whentheelectro-magnetic waves are incident from the magnetic layer,the EMI shielding effectiveness(SE)reaches 48.9 dB as the weight percentage of the conductive layer increases,more importantly,the reflection coefficients are reduced by more than 0.32 compared with that of another incident pattern.What’s more,the re-sultant composites exhibit an outstanding signal shielding function in the application.This work paves a convenient pathway for designing a magnetic-conductive bi-gradient structure and efficient absorbing EMI shielding composites applied in the next-generated electronic information and communication field.Qiang Peng Meng Ma Si Chen Yanqin Shi Huiwen He Xu Wang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,2:0
14Effects of Nitrogen Application Rate to Late Rice on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Soil Carbon Pool During the Growing Season of Winter Chinese Milk vetch显示文摘It is of important referential values for the further understanding of the effects of fertilization on greenhouse gas emissions and the effects of winter green manure on soil carbon pool to study the effects of fertilization on the greenhouse gas emissions and soil carbon pool during the growing season of winter Chinese milk vetch in the process of rice cultivation.This study investigated the effects of nitrogen application in late rice season on the yield of the succeeding Chinese milk vetch and greenhouse gas emissions as well as the soil carbon pool characteristics after the winter planting of Chinese milk vetch with the winter idling of no nitrogen application as the control.The results showed that the yield of Chinese milk vetch was the highest under the nitrogen application of 225 kg/hm^2 in the late rice season,reaching up to 18 388.97 kg/hm^2,which was significantly different from other treatments( P <0.05).Nitrogen application in late rice season increased the emissions of N_2 O,CH_4,CO_2 and global warming potential( GWP) in the growing season of Chinese milk vetch.Compared with the winter idling treatment,winter planting of Chinese milk vetch significantly increased the soil organic carbon and soil carbon pool management index.The yield of Chinese milk vetch was significantly positively correlated with N_2O and CH_4 emissions( P < 0.05),while it presented extremely significant positive correlations with CO_2 emissions,GWP,active organic carbon,and carbon pool management index( P < 0.01).Nitrogen application in the late rice season increased the emissions of N_2 O,CH_4,CO_2,and enhanced the greenhouse gas emission potential during the growing season of Chinese milk vetch.Therefore,without reducing the yield of rice,reducing the amount of nitrogen fertilizer in rice could reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in the growing season of succeeding Chinese milk vetch.Yanqin MA Guoqin HUANG 2018Agricultural Biotechnology2018,7,6:0
