1Hypoxia inducible factor(HIF) in the tumor microenvironment:friend or foe?显示文摘Hypoxia acts as an important regulator of physiological and pathological processes. Hypoxia inducible factors(HIFs) are the central players involved in the cellular adaptation to hypoxia and are regulated by oxygen sensing EGLN prolyl hydroxylases.Hypoxia affects many aspects of cellular growth through both redox effects and through the stabilization of HIFs. The HIF isoforms likely have differential effects on tumor growth via alteration of metabolism, growth, and self-renewal and are likely highly context-dependent. In some tumors such as renal cell carcinoma, the EGLN/HIF axis appears to drive tumorigenesis,while in many others HIF1 and HIF2 may actually have a tumor suppressive role. An emerging role of HIF biology is its effects on the tumor microenvironment. The EGLN/HIF axis plays a key role in regulating the function of the various components of the tumor microenvironment, which include cancer-associated fibroblasts, endothelial cells, immune cells, and the extracellular matrix(ECM). 2Update in version 2021 of CSCO guidelines for colorectal cancer from version 2020显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC) is one of the major cancers threatening life and health of Chinese residents. According to the latest data released by the National Cancer Center in2015(1), there were 387,000 new cases and 187,100 deaths of CRC in China, accounting for 9.87% and 8.01% of all malignancies. The first version of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) guidelines was released in April2017, and has been updated annually based on the latest clinical research data and the availability of new drugs(2-4). 3Effect and mechanism of Irbesartan on occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias in rats with myocardial ischemia through connexin43(cx43)显示文摘Objective: To explore the effect and mechanism of angiotensin Ⅱ receptor blockers-Irbesartan on occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias in rats with myocardial ischemia. Methods: Rats with embryonic cardiomyocytes-H9c2 were randomly divided into control group, ischemia group, Irbesartan group and Irbesartan+ischemia group. The cell viability of rats in each group was tested using MTT. Real-time PCR was employed to detect the expression of connexin43(Cx43) mR NA and western blot to detect the expression of Cx43 and phosphorylated Cx43. SD rats were randomly divided into the sham-operation group(SO), myocardial infarction group(MI), Irbesartan group and MI+ Irbesartan group, with 10 rats in each group. HE staining was employed to observe the change in the pathomorphology of left ventricular tissue and TUNEL method to analyze the cell apoptosis in the tissue. The immunofluorescence was adopted to observe the expression and distribution of Cx43 in the left ventricular myocardium and study the change in the expression of Cx43 in the cardiac muscular tissue at mR NA and protein level. Results: The intervention of Irbesartan in the condition of ischemia indicated the significant decrease in the number of necrotic cells. The expression of Cx43 was significantly decreased under the culture of ischemia(P<0.05), but in the presence of Irbesartan, the expression of Cx43 was increased compared with the ischemia group(P<0.01). The results of WB assay showed the similar trend of change at mRNA level. There was the significant difference in the score of ventricular arerythmia between MI group and SO group(P<0.01). The incidence of ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation was significantly increased compared with the one in SO group(P<0.05). There was the significant difference in the overall score between MI+Irbesartan group and MI group(P<0.05). The expression of Cx43 in the cardiac muscular tissue in MI group was significantly decreased(P<0.01 vs SO group). But the expression of Cx43 was increased after the treatment with Irbesartan. Conclusions: Irbesartan can inhibit the injury of H9c2 cardiomyocytes and the decreased expression of Cx43 that are induced by the ischemic myocardial infarction. 4Sedimentary characteristics of turbidite fan and its implication for hydrocarbon exploration in Lower Congo Basin显示文摘The turbidite is favorable for accumulation of oil and gas and it is the most important reservoir in the deepwater area of West Africa.Currently,some commercial discoveries in such the deepwater area generally belong to turbidite sandstone reservoirs.Based on comprehensive analysis of lithology,lithofacies and configuration of the turbidite,and combined with changes of seismic attributes and sedimentary cycle,the turbidite in the deepwater area of West Africa can be classified into by-pass channel(including the constructive by-pass channel and the erosive by-pass channel),confined channel complex,weakly confined channel complex,and lobe.Different types of turbidite reservoirs have different physical property,so there are differences in hydrocarbon exploration potential;the sandstone in the weakly confined channel complex is the key exploration target in the deepwater area of the Angola Sea.Yanqing Huang 2018Petroleum Research2018,3,2:6
5Myt1L Promotes Differentiation of Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cells and is Necessary for Remyelination After Lysolecithin-Induced Demyelination显示文摘The differentiation and maturation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs) is essential for myelination and remyelination in the CNS. The failure of OPCs to achieve terminal differentiation in demyelinating lesions often results in unsuccessful remyelination in a variety of human demyelinating diseases. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling OPC differentiation under pathological conditions remain largely unknown. Myt1 L(myelin transcription factor 1-like), mainly expressed in neurons,has been associated with intellectual disability, schizophrenia, and depression. In the present study, we found that Myt1 L was expressed in oligodendrocyte lineage cells during myelination and remyelination. The expression level of Myt1 L in neuron/glia antigen 2-positive(NG^(2+))OPCs was significantly higher than that in mature CC1^+ oligodendrocytes. In primary cultured OPCs,overexpression of Myt1 L promoted, while knockdown inhibited OPC differentiation. Moreover, Myt1 L was potently involved in promoting remyelination after lysolecithin-induced demyelination in vivo. Ch IP assays showed that Myt1 L bound to the promoter of Olig1 and transcriptionally regulated Olig1 expression. Taken together, our findings demonstrate that Myt1 L is an essential regulator of OPC differentiation, thereby supporting Myt1 L as a potential therapeutic target for demyelinating diseases.Yanqing Shi Qi Shao Zhenghao Li Ginez A. 6Efficacy and safety of the Qiguiyin formula in severe pneumonia: study protocol for a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qiguiyin(QGY) formula in patients with severe pneumonia in China compared with a placebo.METHODS: This is a multicenter double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial with two parallel arms. There will be 530 patients enrolled and randomized into either the experimental group(QGY formula) or the control group(placebo). Therapies for patients in the two groups above will be based on the conventional therapy. The primary outcome is 28-day mortality. Secondary outcomes include:(a) duration of hospital stay;(b) duration of time in the intensive care unit(ICU) stays;(c) duration of mechanical ventilation;(d) antibiotic DDD value(which means the doses of antibotics during the treatment period);(e) serum procalcitonin(PCT) level;(f) serum C-reactive protein(CRP)level;(g) Pneumonia severity index(PSI) score;(h)Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA) score;(i) sputum culture results;(j) blood routine examination results;(k) routine urine test results;(l) stool routine examination results;(m) electrocardiogram results;(n) alanine aminotransferase levels;(o) aspartate amino transferase levels;(p) total bilirubin;(q) creatinine levels;(r) urea nitrogen levels;and(s)adverse events.ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION: The protocol has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Affiliated with Capital Medical University(2018 BL-053-02). 7The corrosion behavior of Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo alloy:Effects of HCl concentration and temperature显示文摘Investigation about the corrosion behavior of Ti alloys in different ambient environment is of great significance for their practical application.Herein,we systematically investigate the corrosion behavior of a newfound Ti-6 Al-3 Nb-2 Zr-1 Mo(Ti80)alloy in hydrochloric acid(HCl)ranging from 1.37 to 7 M,and temperature ranging from 25 to 55℃,by means of electrochemical measurements,static immersion tests and surface analysis.Results manifest that increasing either HCl concentration or temperature can accelerate the corrosion of Ti80 alloy via promoting the breakdown of native protective oxide film and then further facilitating the active dissolution of Ti80 matrix.According to potentiodynamic polarization curves,Ti80 alloy displays a spontaneous passive behavior in 1.37 M HCl at 25℃,compared to a typical active-passive behavior under the other conditions.As indicated by cathodic Tafel slope,the rate determining step for cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction is likely the discharge reaction step.The apparent activation energies obtained from corrosion current density and maximum anodic current density for Ti80 alloy in 5 M HCl solution are 62.4 and 55.6 kJ mol-1,respectively,which signifies that the rate determining step in the corrosion process of Ti80 alloy is mainly determined by surface-chemical reaction rather than diffusion.Besides,the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests demonstrate that a stable and compact oxide film exists in 1.37 M HCl at 25℃,whereas a porous corrosion product film forms under the other conditions.Overall,the critical HCl concentration at which Ti80 alloy can maintain passivation at 25℃can be determined as a value between 1.37 and 3 M.Furthermore,the corroded surface morphology characterization reveals that equiaxedαphase is more susceptible to corrosion compared to intergranularβphase due to a lower content of Nb,Mo,and Zr in the former.Baoxian Su Binbin Wang Liangshun Luo Liang Wang Yanqing Su Fuxin Wang Yanjin Xu Baoshuai Han Haiguang Huang Jingjie Guo Hengzhi Fu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15:5
8Annealed microstructure dependent corrosion behavior of Ti-6Al-3Nb-2Zr-1Mo alloy显示文摘Corrosion resistance of titanium(Ti)alloys is closely connected with their microstructure which can be adjusted and controlled via different annealing schemes.Herein,we systematically investigate the specific effects of annealing on the corrosion performance of Ti-6 Al-3 Nb-2 Zr-1 Mo(Ti80)alloy in 3.5 wt.%NaCl and 5 M HCl solutions,respectively,based on open circuit potential(OCP),potentiodynamic polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),static immersion tests and surface analysis.Results indicate that increasing annealing tempe rature endows Ti80 alloy with a higher volume fraction ofβphase and finerαphase,which in turn improves its corrosion resistance.Surface characterization demonstrates thatβphase is more resistant to corrosion thanαphase owing to a higher content of Nb,Mo,and Zr in the former;additionally,the decreased thickness of a phase alleviates segregation of elements to further restrain the micro-galvanic couple effects betweenαandβphases.Meanwhile,the influential mechanisms of environmental conditions on corrosion of Ti80 alloy are discussed in detail.As the formation of a highly compact and stable oxide film on surface,annealed Ti80 alloys exhibit a low corrosion current density(10^(-6)A/cm^(2))and high polarization impedance(10^(6)Ω·cm^(2))in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution.However,they suffer severe corrosion in 5 M HCl solution,resulting from the breakdown of native oxide films(the conversion of TiO_(2)to aqueous Ti^(3+)),active dissolution of substrate Ti to aqueous Ti^(3+)and existence of micro-galvanic couple effects.Those findings could provide new insights to designing Ti alloys with high-corrosion resistance through microstructural optimization.Baoxian Su Liangshun Luo Binbin Wang Yanqing Su Liang Wang Robert O.Ritchie Enyu Guo Ting Li Huimin Yang Haiguang Huang Jingjie Guo Hengzhi Fu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,3:5
9A thermal-mechanical constitutive model for b-HMX single crystal and cohesive interface under dynamic high pressure loading显示文摘Due to the significant thermal-mechanical effects during hot spot formation in PBX explosives,a thermodynamic constitutive model has been constructed for HMX anisotropic single crystal subjected to dynamic impact loading. The crystal plasticity model based on dislocation dynamics theory was employed to describe the anisotropic plastic behavior along the preferential slip systems. A modified equation of state (EOS) was introduced into the constitutive equations through the decomposing stress tensor and the nonlinear elasticity for materials was taken into account. The one-dimensional strain impact simulations for HMX single crystal and quasi-bicrystal were performed respectively,in which the cohesive elements were inserted over the interface areas for the latter. The predicted particle velocities for the single crystal sample agreed well with the experimental results in the literature. 10Experimental study on preparation of nanoparticle-surfactant nanofluids and their effects on coal surface wettability显示文摘To improve the efficiency of coal seam water injection,the influence of nanofluids on coal surface wettability was studied based on the nano drag reduction and injection enhancement technology in the field of tertiary oil recovery.The composition optimization and performance evaluation of nanofluids with nano-silica and sodium lauryl sulfate as the main components were carried out,and the effects of the nanofluid with the optimal ratio on coal wettability were studied through spontaneous upward imbibition experiments.The results show that the composite nanofluid has a lower surface tension,and the lowest value of the interfacial tension is 15.79 m N/m.Therefore,the composite nanofluid can enhance the wettability of coal.However,its effects on coal samples with different metamorphic degrees is different,that is,low rank coal is the largest,middle rank coal is the second,and high rank coal is the least.In addition,a functional relationship between time and imbibition height is found for pulverized coal with different particle sizes.When the particle size of pulverized coal is 60–80 mesh,the wettability of nanofluid to coal is best.The findings in this paper provide a new perspective for improving the water injection efficiency for coal seams with low permeability.Gang Wang Yanqing Li Enmao Wang Qiming Huang Shibin Wang Huaixing Li 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:4
11Molecular architecture of the luminal ring of the Xenopus laevis nuclear pore complex显示文摘The nuclear pore complex(NPC)mediates the flow of substances between the nucleus and cytoplasm in eukaryotic cells.Here we report the cryo-electron tomography(cryo-ET)structure of the luminal ring(LR)of the NPC from Xenopus laevis oocyte.The observed key structural features of the LR are independently confirmed by single-particle cryo-electron microscopy(cryo-EM)analysis.The LR comprises eight butterfly-shaped subunits,each containing two symmetric wings.Each wing consists of four elongated,tubular protomers.Within the LR subunit,the eight protomers form a Finger domain,which directly contacts the fusion between the inner and outer nuclear membranes and a Grid domain,which serves as a rigid base for the Finger domain.Two neighboring LR subunits interact with each other through the lateral edges of their wings to constitute a Bumper domain,which displays two major conformations and appears to cushion neighboring NPCs.Our study reveals previously unknown features of the LR and potentially explains the elastic property of the NPC.Yanqing Zhang Sai Li Chao Zeng Gaoxingyu Huang Xuechen Zhu Qifan Wang Kunpeng Wang Qiang Zhou Chuangye Yan Wusheng Zhang Guangwen Yang Minhao Liu Qinghua Tao Jianlin Lei Yigong Shi 2020Cell Research2020,30,6:4
12Multiple Spatial Scale Analysis of the Niche Characteristics of the Rhododendron dauricum Plant Communities in Northeast China显示文摘This study aims to verify the concept of niches at multiple spatial scales in plant communities.To this end,we analyzed the niche characteristic of Rhododendron dauricum plant communities in Northeast China at three spatial scales.At the local scale,we calculated the Importance Value(IV)of species in five communities in the north of the Da Hinggan Mountains.At the intermediate scale,we examined five communities in their entirety,calculated the niche breadth of the species,and integrated niche overlap and interspecific association to analyze interspecific relationships.Further,the generalized additive model(GAM)was used to analyze the impact of topography and soil factors on niche characteristics.At the regional scale,we analyzed the geographical distribution of dominant species of R.dauricum plant communities in Northeast China and used principal component analysis(PCA)to analyze the impact of geographical and climate factors on species distribution.The results show that at the local scale,the IV of the species in each community varies widely.At the intermediate scale,species with a wide niche breadth tend to have a high value for IV.Larix gmelinii,Betula platyphylla,R.dauricum,Ledum palustre,and Vaccinium vitis-idaea had a relatively wide niche breadth and a high niche overlap,and the interspecific associations were almost all positive.Elevation and soil nutrients were the most dominant environmental factors.At the regional scale,species with a wide niche breadth tend to have a wide range of distribution,and temperature and precipitation were the most dominant environmental factors.This study suggests that the niche characteristics at three scales are both related and different.Niche characteristics at the local scale were various and labile,and niche characteristics at the intermediate and regional scales were relatively regular.These results show some degree of consistency with previous studies from an evolutionary perspective.The action mechanisms of these communities are related to differences in the dominant environmental factors.In addition,the integration of niche overlap and interspecific association determine interspecific relationships more accurately.LU Yupeng CHEN Wei YAO Jing HUANG Yanqing ZHANG Yue LIU Huanchu HE Xingyuan 2020Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,4:4
13Interface effects on the electroluminescence spectra in amorphous-Si/silicon oxynitride multilayer structures显示文摘We report room-temperature electroluminescence (EL) from as-deposited amorphous-Si/silicon oxynitride multilayer structure prepared by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition. We prepared 8-period a-Si/SiOxNy multilayer with thickness of 4 nm both for the Si and SiOxNy sublayers. The EL spectral profile exhibits some obviously modulated features upon the barrier material. By adjusting the nitride/oxygen ratio in the barrier layer, the EL peak position can be tuned from 750 nm to 695 nm. From the result of the Raman and Fourier transform infrared results, the EL is attributed to the radiative recombination of electrons and holes in luminescent centers related to the interface. 15Effects of Climate Warming on Phenological Characteristics of Urban Forest in Shenyang City,China显示文摘Change in plant phenology is one of the most sensitive ecological responses to climate warming. Little information is known about the effects of climate warming on phenology of urban tree species in the northern forest of China. In this study, we investigated the phenological characteristics of the main tree species in the urban forest of Shengyang City in China and the correlation between phenology and atmospheric temperature from the discontinuous data during past 42 years over three time periods(from 1962 to 1965, 1977 to 1978, and 2000 to 2005). The results showed that the annual average temperature in Shenyang City showed an increasing trend and increased by 0.96℃ from 1962 to 2005 due to climate warming. The germination phenology of the urban trees was negatively correlated with the temperature in winter and early spring. The leafing phenology was mainly influenced by the temperature in spring before leafing. Influenced by climate warming, the germination, leafing, and flowering phenologies of this urban forest in 2005 were 14, 13, and 10 days earlier than those in 1962, respectively. 16Morganella morganii as a Causative Agent of Disease in the Chinese Giant Salamander (Andrias davidianus)显示文摘Morganella morganii strain 602-1 was isolated from a sick Chinese giant salamander(Andrias davidianus).The strain 602-1 was identifi ed through its physiological and biochemical properties and 16S rDNA gene amplif ication and analyses.Pathogenicity was proven by experimental animal infection,and histopathological examination.The results showed that the amplif ied 16S rDNA sequence of strain 602-1 was 1455 bp,and showed 99% identity with M.morganii.In the host infection experiment,the mortality of Chinese giant salamanders was about 70%.Pathological changes occurred in the spleen,heart,liver,kidney and intestine.This study will help the prevention,understanding and cure for M.morganii infections in amphibians.Li WANG Yong WEI Yanqing HUANG 2013Asian Herpetological Research2013,4,3:3
17STUDY ON THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF AXIALLY MOVING RECTANGULAR PLATES PARTIALLY SUBMERSED IN FLUID显示文摘The natural frequencies, complex modes and critical speeds of an axially moving rectangular plate, which is partially immersed in a fluid and subjected to a pretension, are investigated. The effects of free surface waves, compressibility and viscidity of the fluid are neglected in the analysis. The subsection functions are used to describe the discontinuous characteristics of the system due to partial immersion. The classical thin plate theory is adopted to formulate the equations of motion of a vibrating plate. The velocity potential and Bernoulli's equation are used to describe the fluid pressure acting on the moving plate. The effect of fluid on the vibrations of the plate may be equivalent to the added mass on the plate. 18Excellent strength-ductility synergy properties of gradient nano-grained structural CrCoNi medium-entropy alloy显示文摘Tailoring heterogeneities could bring out excellent strength-ductility synergy properties.A gradient nanograined(GNG)structure,i.e.grain size range from nanometer(~50 nm)at topest surface layer to micrometer(~1.3μm)at center layer,was successfully introduced into CrCoNi medium-entropy alloy(MEA)by means of high energy shot peening in this work.Experimental results demonstrated that this GNG CrCoNi MEA shows excellent strength and ductility combination properties,exhibiting high yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of~1215 MPa and~1524 MPa,respectively,while remaining a good ductility of~23.0%.The extraordinary hetero-deformation induced(HDI)hardening origins from heterogeneous structure,i.e.GNG structure,which contributes to the majority strength enhancement.Dynamical reinforced heterogeneous structure during tension process results in the enhanced HDI hardening effect,which facilitates excellent ductility and strain hardening capacity at high-level strength.Our work provide not only a feasible and effective way to strengthen the CrCoNi MEA,and other low stacking faults energy(SFE)materials,but also an useful insight to understanding HDI hardening in heterogeneous structure.Wenjie Lu Xian Luo Dou Ning Miao Wang Chao Yang Miaoquan Li Yanqing Yang Pengtao Li Bin Huang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,17:2
19Molecular and functional characterization of ferritin in abalone Haliotis diversicolor supertexta显示文摘Ferritin is an iron storage protein that plays a key role in the processes of physiology and pathology.In the present study,the authors reported the ferritin gene from abalone Haliotis diversicolor supertexta,which we named hds-ferritin.The full-length of hds-ferritin cDNA consisted of 879 bp with an ORF encoding a 171 amino acids.Amino acid sequence analysis revealed that hds-ferritin shared highly homology with other species.Real time PCR and western blot analysis showed that hds-ferritin was distributed ubiquitously in abalone tissues and had the highest expression level in digestive glands,but its transcripts are not modified remarkably by the stimulation with LPS.The recombinant protein was successfully expressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3),and the titre of anti-ferritin antibody was about 1:14 000.The effects of ROS and RNS on ferritin were analyzed in the present study.The results showed that H2O2 played an important role in decreasing hds-ferritin,however NO cation appeared to have a protecting effect on H2O2-medied reduction of hds-ferritin.XIE Jiasong CAO Xiaohua WU Liuji LUO Ming ZHU Zewen HUANG Yanqing WU Xinzhong 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,3:2
