1Anti-loosening performance of coatings on fasteners subjected to dynamic shear load显示文摘This paper investigates the self-loosening of threaded fasteners subjected to dynamic shear load. Three kinds of typical coatings, PTFE, MoS_2, and TiN applied to bolts and nuts, are tested in this investigation. The study experimentally examines the loosening mechanisms of fasteners and assesses the anti-loosening performance of the three tested coatings based on their tightening characteristics, loosening curves, and the damage of thread surface. Additionally, the anti-loosening performance of the three coatings is compared under different load forms. The results indicate that the PTFE and MoS_2 coatings have significant anti-loosening effect, whereas the anti-loosening performance of Ti N coating is not satisfactory. It is also found that an appropriate increase of the initial tightening torque can significantly improve the anti-loosening effect. 3Fermentation characteristics and probiotic activity of a purified fraction of polysaccharides from Fuzhuan brick tea显示文摘Polysaccharides from Fuzhuan brick tea(FBTPS),one of most important bioactive components in tea,showed various health-promoting functions.Our previous work demonstrated that the crude FBTPS(CFBTPS)could modulate the gut microbiota.However,which purified fraction in CFBTPS contributing to the modulation of gut microbiota remains unclear.Thus,the fermentation characteristics and probiotic activity of a purified fraction(FBTPS-2-1)of CFBTPS were evaluated in this work.The results showed that gut microbiota could utilize FBTPS-2-1 to produce short-chain fatty acids including acetic,propionic,n-butyric and n-valeric acids.FBTPS-2-1 could modulate the structure and metabolic pathways of gut microbiota.FBTPS-2-1 could increase the health-promoting gut microbiota such as Prevotellaceae and Bifidobacteriaceae,and decreased the harmful bacteria such as Enterobacteriaceae and Fusobacteriaceae.The results of metagenomics showed that Prevotella copri and Megamonas funiformis were the dominant bacteria after fermentation of FBTPS-2-1.Furthermore,FBTPS-2-1 could regulate the biosynthesis and metabolism pathways of gut microbiota.Thus,the enrichment of food with FBTPS-2-1 is expected as a potential strategy for promoting human health due to modulation of gut microbiota.Guijie Chen Ziqi Zeng Minhao Xie Yujia Peng Wangting Zhou Weiqi Xu Yi Sun Xiaoxiong Zeng Zhonghua Liu 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:4
4Molecular architecture of the luminal ring of the Xenopus laevis nuclear pore complex显示文摘The nuclear pore complex(NPC)mediates the flow of substances between the nucleus and cytoplasm in eukaryotic cells.Here we report the cryo-electron tomography(cryo-ET)structure of the luminal ring(LR)of the NPC from Xenopus laevis oocyte.The observed key structural features of the LR are independently confirmed by single-particle cryo-electron microscopy(cryo-EM)analysis.The LR comprises eight butterfly-shaped subunits,each containing two symmetric wings.Each wing consists of four elongated,tubular protomers.Within the LR subunit,the eight protomers form a Finger domain,which directly contacts the fusion between the inner and outer nuclear membranes and a Grid domain,which serves as a rigid base for the Finger domain.Two neighboring LR subunits interact with each other through the lateral edges of their wings to constitute a Bumper domain,which displays two major conformations and appears to cushion neighboring NPCs.Our study reveals previously unknown features of the LR and potentially explains the elastic property of the NPC.Yanqing Zhang Sai Li Chao Zeng Gaoxingyu Huang Xuechen Zhu Qifan Wang Kunpeng Wang Qiang Zhou Chuangye Yan Wusheng Zhang Guangwen Yang Minhao Liu Qinghua Tao Jianlin Lei Yigong Shi 2020Cell Research2020,30,6:4

6Bioactivities and molecular mechanisms of polysaccharides from Hericium erinaceus显示文摘Hericium erinaceus,an edible and medicinal mushroom,has been utilized since ancient China due to its delicious taste and health benefits.The polysaccharide from H.erinaceus(HEP)is supposed to be one of the major bioactive compounds,which garnered widespread attention in seeking innovative applications for precision nutrition.Both in vitro and in vivo studies have shown that HEP possesses antioxidant and anti-aging,gastrointestinal protecting,anti-tumor,hypolipidemic and hypoglycemic,immune-enhancing,neuroprotective,and hepatoprotective activities,verifying its functional benefits to human health.This review provides an overview of the extraction and structure of HEP,and concluded that HEP had different structures with different sources of H.erinaceus and extraction methods.Besides,the biochemical and pharmacological properties of HEP as well as the relative mechanism were highlighted and summarized on the basis of in vivo and in vitro studies,which could be helpful for the healthy application of HEP.Finally,the research prospects of HEP for specific populations or precision nutrition were proposed.Jianhui Liu Weiwei Wang Qiuhui Hu Xuyang Wu Hui Xu Anxiang Su Minhao Xie Wenjian Yang 2022Journal of Future Foods2022,2,2:3
7Heterostructured ZnFe_2O_4/Fe_2TiO_5/TiO_2 Composite Nanotube Arrays with an Improved Photocatalysis Degradation Efficiency Under Simulated Sunlight Irradiation显示文摘To improve the visible light absorption and photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide nanotube arrays(TONTAs), ZnFe_2O_4(ZFO) nanocrystals were perfused into pristine TONTA pipelines using a novel bias voltageassisted perfusion method. ZFO nanocrystals were well anchored on the inner walls of the pristine TONTAs when the ZFO suspensions(0.025 mg m L^(-1)) were kept under a60 V bias voltage for 1 h. After annealing at 750 °C for2 h, the heterostructured ZFO/Fe_2 TiO_5(FTO)/TiO_2 composite nanotube arrays were successfully obtained. Furthermore, Fe^(3+)was reduced to Fe^(2+)when solid solution reactions occurred at the interface of ZFO and the pristine TONTAs. Introducing ZFO significantly enhanced thevisible light absorption of the ZFO/FTO/TONTAs relative to that of the annealed TONTAs. 8Structure of the cytoplasmic ring of the Xenopus laevis nuclear pore complex by cryo-electron microscopy single particle analysis显示文摘The nuclear pore complex(NPC)exhibits structural plasticity and has only been characterized at local resolutions of up to 15 A for the cytoplasmic ring(CR).Here we present a single-particle cryo-electron microscopy(cryo-EM)structure of the CR from Xenopus laevis NPC at average resolutions of 5.5-7.9A,with local resolutions reaching 4.5 A.Improved resolutions allow identification and placement of secondary structural elements in the majority of the CR components.The two Y complexes in each CR subunit interact with each other and associate with those from flanking subunits,forming a circular scaffold.Within each CR subunit,the Nup358-containing region wraps around the stems of both Y complexes,likely stabilizing the scaffold.Nup205 connects the short arms of the two Y complexes and associates with the stem of a neighboring Y complex.The Nup214-containing region uses an extended coiled-coil to link Nup85 of the two Y complexes and protrudes into the axial pore of the NPC.These previously uncharacterized structural features reveal insights into NPC assembly.Gaoxingyu Huang Yanqing Zhang Xuechen Zhu Chao Zeng Qifan Wang Qiang Zhou Qinghua Tao Minhao Liu Jianlin Lei Chuangye Yan Yigong Shi 2020Cell Research2020,30,6:2
9Finite-element analysis for surface discharge on polyimide insulation in air at atmospheric pressure under pulsed electrical stress显示文摘A surface discharge non-equilibrium plasma model of air–polyimide under pulsed electrical stress is established, byconsidering the reaction of charged particles on the dielectric surface and the secondary electron emission caused by thecondition that high-energy particles bombard the material surface. The model defines the chemical reaction of air discharge byusing simplified set of reactions, which greatly reduces the complexity of the model. To avoid the negative value of particledensity in the process of solution, the logarithmic finite-element method is used to solve the model established, so as toimplement the dynamic simulation of the surface discharge process. Also, the temporal and spatial evolution of themicroparameters such as charge and electric field distribution during discharge are obtained, and the reliability of the model isverified by experiments in terms of discharge development pattern and surface charge accumulation. 17Protective effects of peptide KSPLY derived from Hericium erinaceus on H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative damage in HepG2 cells显示文摘Reactive oxygen species(ROS)-induced oxidative damage is strongly associated with the pathogenesis of chronic diseases,and natural antioxidant peptides have good abilities of scavenging ROS.The antioxidant activity of peptide Lys-Ser-Pro-Leu-Tyr(KSPLY)derived from Hericium erinaceus remains unclear.In the present study,the antioxidant effect and mechanism of KSPLY on H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative damage in HepG2 cells were investigated.The results indicated that KSPLY exhibited the antioxidant capacity in H_(2)O_(2)-induced HepG2 cells by enhancing superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),and catalase(CAT)activities.In comparison with the H_(2)O_(2)-treated damage group,the apoptosis rate,ROS level,and malondialdehyde(MDA)content of HepG2 cells treated with KSPLY were significantly decreased.The H.erinaceus-derived peptide KSPLY pretreatment promoted the expression of detoxification and antioxidant enzymes via the Keap1/Nrf2 signal pathway,thereby inhibiting the generation of ROS and MDA.In conclusion,the H.erinaceus-derived peptide KSPLY effectively protected HepG2 cells against H_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative damage,and it provided a theoretical basis for the further development of new natural antioxidants.Zhengli Xu Qiuhui Hu Minhao Xie Jianhui Liu Anxiang Su Hui Xu Wenjian Yang 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,5:0
18Optimization of several surface treatment processes for alleviating fretting damage of a locking pin显示文摘The operational safety and reliability of a variable gauge train are affected by the anti-fretting wear performance of the locking mechanism.The main purpose of this study is to optimize the surface treatment process for a locking pin material under actual service conditions to alleviate fretting damage.Based on the two basic principles of surface strengthening and friction reduction,a substrate(AISI 4135 steel)surface was treated by laser quenching(LQ),plasma nitriding(PN),and bonded MoS2 coating.Systematic fretting wear tests were conducted,and the wear behavior and damage mechanism of various treated surfaces were comprehensively investigated.The results indicate that the wear resistances of the LQ-and PN-treated surfaces were significantly improved,and their main wear mechanisms were abrasive wear,delamination,and oxidation wear.The MoS_(2) coating exhibits the lowest friction coefficient and energy dissipation due to its self-lubricating property,but it incurs the highest wear rate and failure in the form of plastic deformation.Furthermore,the rough compound layer with a high hardness on the PN-treated surface is conducive to the formation and maintenance of the third-body contact at the fretting interface,consequently resulting in a significant reduction in wear.An optimal surface treatment process for alleviating fretting damage of the locking pin is recommended via comprehensive evaluation,which provides a reference for the anti-fretting protection of related mechanical components.Jifan HE Zhenbing CAI Yanping REN Jinfang PENG Jianhua LIU Minhao ZHU 2022Friction2022,10,8:0
19Tribological properties of spherical and mesoporous NiAl particles as ionic liquid additives显示文摘In this study,spherical and mesoporous NiAl particles(abbreviated as sNiAl and mNiAl)were introduced as lubricant additives into two alkyl-imidazolium ionic liquids(ILs)(l-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate(LB104)and l-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium hexafluorophosphate(LP104))to explore their tribological properties.The sNiAl and mNiAl particles were modified in-situ by anion and cation moieties of ILs through chemical interaction,thereby enhancing their dispersibility and stability in ILs.The mNiAl particles have better dispersibility than the sNiAl ones in ILs because of high specific surface area.LP104-modified sNiAl particles show better friction reduction and wear resistance,mainly relying on the synergy of the hybrid lubricant.These particles form a protective layer that prevents friction pairs from straight asperity contact and improves the tribological behaviors.Yao YAO Yi XU Xiaoqiang FAN Minhao ZHU Guangfei LIU 2020Friction2020,8,2:0
20Typical synergistic effect of graphite nanoplatelets and carbon nanotubes and its influence on polymer-based dielectric composites显示文摘Graphite nanoplatelets(GNPs)with their intrinsic two-dimensional structure make an excellent compromise of advantages of both graphite and graphene.Due to their outstanding inherent properties,GNPs have been widely used as the functional fillers to improve certain performances of polymer-based composites.However,the multi-layer stacked construction of GNPs could form aggregations easily,which limits their application in polymer-based dielectric composites.Here,the authors exhibit a polydimethylsilicone(PDMS)-based nanocomposite which loading equivalent carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and GNPs as co-loading fillers,whose dielectric properties are improved significantly.The composites were fabricated through a highly-shearing mechanical mixing process.During the mixing process,both intrinsic CNTs entanglements and GNPs stacked aggregation could be ameliorated due to the interaction between these two types of fillers.Compared with the GNPs solely loaded composites,a small quantity of CNTs addition endows GNPs/CNTs/PDMS ternary composites with a significantly decreased percolation threshold(f_(c)∼1.7 vol.%).Both GNPs and CNTs,these two representative conductive carbon constructions with high aspect ratios are able to effectively enhance the establishing efficiency of internal conductive network inner composites.These results indicate that the development of internal conductive network and dielectric performance of nanocomposites are able to be optimised through the strategy of taking advantage of the synergistic effect of multi-type fillers reasonably.Hang Zhao Minhao Yang Delong He Yu Liu Jintao Bai Hui Wang Haowei Chen Jinbo Bai 2016High Voltage2016,1,4:0
