| 1 | Regulating cost for renewable energy integration in power grids显示文摘To address the issue of climate change caused by the use of polluting, non-renewable energy sources, the use of renewable energy has gained momentum worldwide. Consequently, the increased integration of renewable energy sources into power grids has necessitated the inclusion of flexible capacities in the power systems to solve problems of intermittent and fluctuating characteristics associated with renewable generation outputs. In this work, we study the regulating cost of a power system with high renewable penetration using an improved time-series system production simulation analysis method. The operational cost of the system is considered as the objective function. Three different methods to increase regulating capacities, including using interconnection lines, building additional flexible power capacities, and retrofitting existing thermal power plants, are adopted and simulated to compare the costs of accommodating renewable energy in the system in these cases. | 2 | Spatial distribution characteristics of bacterial community structure and gene abundance in sediments of the Bohai Sea显示文摘This study investigated differences in the community structure and environmental responses of the bacterial community in sediments of the Bohai Sea.Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology and real-time PCR were used to assay the bacterial 16S rRNA genes in the surface sediments of 13 sampling stations in the Bohai Sea.The results showed that sediments at the majority of the 13 sampling stations were contaminated by heavy metal mercury.The main phyla of bacteria recorded included Proteobacteria(52.92%),Bacteroidetes(11.76%),Planctomycetes(7.39%),Acidobacteria(6.53%)and Chloroflexi(4.97%).The genus with the highest relative abundance was Desulfobulbus(4.99%),which was the dominant genus at most sampling stations,followed by Lutimonas and Halioglobus.The main factors influencing bacterial community structure were total organic carbon,followed by depth and total phosphorus.The content of lead,cadmium,chromium,copper and zinc had a consistent effect on community structure.Arsenic showed a negative correlation with bacterial community structure in most samples,while the impact of mercury on community structure was not significant.The bacterial community in sediment samples from the Bohai Sea was rich in diversity and displayed an increase in diversity from high to low latitudes.The data indicated that the Bohai Sea had abundant microbial resources and was rich in bacteria with the potential to metabolize many types of pollutants. | Quanrui Chen Jingfeng Fan Jie Su Hongxia Ming Zhihao Sun Mengfei Li Xiaohui Zhao Yantao Wang Yingxue Zhang Huizhen Zhang Yuan Jin Xiaowan Ma Bin Wang | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,2: | 2 |

| 5 | Effect of the hyaluronic acid-poloxamer hydrogel on skin-wound healing: in vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Background: Recent research into skin injury and wound healing has focused mainly on post‐trauma hemostasis, infection prevention, dermal regeneration and angiogenesis. However, less attention has been paid to air permeability and moisture loss prevention which also play important roles in injury healing. Methods: In the present work, we prepared a hyaluronic acid‐poloxamer (HA‐POL) hydrogel and tested the therapeutic effect of the hydrogel on skin‐wound healing. Results: The HA‐POL hydrogel transformed from sol to gel at 30°C, close to body temperature, and had stable moisturizing properties. HA‐POL hydrogel promoted skin‐wound healing and increased protein accumulation in the wound area. HA‐POL hydrogel allowed greater air permeability than Band‐aid, a typical wound covering. Results from transwell assays showed that the HA‐POL hydrogel effectively isolated skin‐wounds from bacterial invasion. However, the exact mechanism of resistance to sorafenib remains unclear and it is valuable to establish a novel mouse model to quantitatively analyze the inhibition rates of sorafenib on the invasive growth of HCC cells in the liver.Methods: HCC tissue microblocks derived from patients were cultured and mixed with hydrogel drops. Then, hydrogel drops containing microblocks of HCC tissue were attached onto the surface of the livers of nude mice to form lesions or nodules of HCC. The mice received molecular targeting agents through oral administration. Livers with tumor nodules were harvested for H&E staining(hematoxylin-eosin staining) analysis and H&E staining images were quantitatively analyzed using image J software. The invasive growth of HCC cells into the liver was calculated using the depth of the lesions compared with the total thickness of the liver.Results: Microblocks containing cells derived from HCC patients can form lesions in the liver of nude mice. | 9 | The influence of earthquakes on Zhubi Reef in the Nansha Islands of the South China Sea显示文摘It is exceedingly important to estimate the stability of coral reefs. In recent years, growing construction projects have been carried out on the reef flat in the South China Sea. As a special marine geotechnical medium, it is made of the reef debris underwent overwhelmingly long geological age. Reefs grow thickly on the carbonate platform after the Late Oligocene and have five to six main sedimentary facies. It can be used as a recorder to measure the occurrence time of recent earthquake. A model of reef body is presented to study the influence of earthquakes according to the geological structure characteristic of reefs in the Nansha Islands. Furthermore, Geo Studio is used to simulate stress and deformation situations within it under various earthquake intensities. A safety factor is calculated by the limit equilibrium method, and the possible scenarios of earthquake-induced landslides and sliding scale are defined with a Newmark sliding block method, as well as stress distribution and deformation behaviors. Therefore, the numerical results suggest that the connections between the coral reef and the earthquake are as follows:(1) the reef body has a good stability under self-gravity state;(2) after the earthquake, it may cause slope's instability and bring out slumping when the safety factor is smaller than 1(FS<1);(3) the safety factor decreases with the increasing earthquake intensity, and fluctuates around a particular value after a while;and(4) as a new developed part of the reef, the smaller shallow landslide will be easily subject to collapse caused by the earthquake. It is concluded that it is feasible to provide a reference for evaluating the stability of coral reef using a geotechnical engineering simulation method. | 11 | Ultrasensitive and Signal-on Electrochemiluminescence Aptasensor Using the Multi-tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(Ⅱ)- β-cyclodextrin Complexes显示文摘An ultrasensitive and signal-on electrochemiluminescence(ECL)aptasensor to detect target protein(thrombin or lysozyme)was developed using the host-guest recognition between a metallocyclodextrin complex and single-stranded DNA(ss-DNA).The aptasensor uses both the photoactive properties of the metallocyclodextrins named multi-tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(Ⅱ)-β-cyclodextrin complexes and their specific recognition with ss-DNA,which amplified the ECL signal without luminophore labeling.After investigating the ECL performance of different multi-tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(Ⅱ)-β-cyclodextrin(multi-Ru-β-CD)complexes,tris-tris(bipyridine)-ruthenium(Ⅱ)-β-cyclodextrin(tris(bpyRu)-β-CD)was selected as a suitable host molecule to construct an atasensor.First,double-stranded DNA(ds-DNA)formed by hybridization of the aptamer and its target DNA was attached to a glassy carbon electrode via coupling interaction,which showed low ECL intensity with 2-(dibutylamino)ethanol(DBAE)as coreactant,because of the weak recognition between ds-DNA and tris(bpyRu)-β-CD.Upon addition of the corresponding protein,the ECL intensity increased when target ss-DNA was released because of the higher stability of the aptamer-protein complex than the aptamer-DNA one.A linear relationship was observed in the range of 0.01 pmol/L to 100 pmol/L between ECL intensity and the logarithm of thrombin concentrations with a limited detection of 8.5 fmol/L(S/N=3).Meanwhile,the measured concentration of lysozyme was from 0.05 pmol/L to 500 pmol/L and the detection limit was 33 fmol/L(S/N=3).The investigations of proteins in human serum samples were also performed to demonstrate the validity of detection in real clinical samples.The simplicity,high sensitivity and specificity of this aptasensor show great promise for practical applications in protein monitoring and disease diagnosis. | Yingying Zhao Hong Chen Qiong Chen Yantao Qi Fan Yang Jie Tang Pingang He Fan Zhang | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,11: | 0 |
