1Current trends in tai chi for stroke rehabilitation显示文摘Background:There are an increasing number of studies focusing on the effect of tai chi for different diseases. As a special form of physical activity, tai chi may be beneficial for the rehabilitation of stroke,a leading cause of disability worldwide. Objective:This review summarizes the existing literature on the potential benefits of tai chi for stroke rehabilitation and offers recommendations for future research. Methods:Studies on the biomechanics and physiology of tai chi for stroke rehabilitation are reviewed.Research on tai chi for stroke rehabilitation and related diseases are summarized. Finally, the shortcomings of existing studies and recommendations for future studies are discussed. Conclusions:Tai chi appears to be beneficial for stroke rehabilitation. But reporting quality of existing studies are sub-optimal.Future trials should define tai chi style, apply rigorous methodology to sample size calculation, randomization, recruiting criteria, and outcome measures. To avoid inadequacies during the research and reporting processes, investigators may wish to follow CONSORT guidelines and refer to well-conducted clinical studies on tai chi.Yong Zhang Yanzhe Ning Hongwei Liu Li Zhou Yihuai Zou Zongheng Li 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,3:1
2Refined analysis and a hierarchical multi-task learning approach for loan fraud detection显示文摘Fraud problems in loan application assessment cause significant losses for finance companies worldwide, and much research has focused on machine learning methods to improve the efficacy of fraud detection in some financial domains. However, diverse information falsification in individual fraud remains one of the most challenging problems in loan applications. To this end, we conducted an empirical study to explore the relationships between various fraud types and analyzed the factors influencing information fabrication. Weak relationships exist among different falsification types, and some essential factors play the same roles in different fraud types. In contrast, others have various or opposing effects on these types of frauds. Based on this finding, we propose a novel hierarchical multi-task learning approach to refine fraud-detection systems. Specifically, we first developed a hierarchical fraud category method to break down this problem into several subtasks according to the information types falsified by customers, reducing fraud identification's difficulty. Second, a heterogeneous network with a meta-path-based random walk and heterogeneous skip-gram model can solve the representation learning problem owing to the sophisticated relationships among the applicants' information. Furthermore, the final subtasks can be predicted using a multi-task learning approach with two prediction layers. The first layer provides the probabilities of general fraud categories as auxiliary information for the second layer, which is for specific subtask prediction. Finally, we conducted extensive experiments based on a real-world dataset to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Liao Chen Ning Jia Hongke Zhao Yanzhe Kang Jiang Deng Shoufeng Ma 2022Journal of Management Science and Engineering2022,7,4:0
3Therapy of replenishing Yin and regulating Yang for manic episode in bipolar disorder:study protocol for a prospective,double-blind,randomized controlled trial显示文摘Bipolar disorder(BD) is a chronic and recurrent disorder characterized by biphasic mood episodes of mania or hypomania and depression. It affects more than 1% of the global population and is a leading cause of disability in young people.Currently available treatments for BD are still fairly limited in terms of efficacy, with high rates of non-adherence,non-response,and undesirable side effects.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has a long history and rich experience in stabilizing mania and improving quality of life.Aiming at rebalancing Yin and Yang in BD,therapy of replenishing Yin and regulating Yang(RYRY therapy) has been in clinical use for years in China. The present prospective,double-blind,randomized controlled trial is designed to investigate the efficacy and safety of RYRY therapy for bipolar mania and its possible mechanism from the point of regulating gut microbiota and anti-inflammation.A total of 60 eligible participants will be recruited from Beijing Anding Hospital. They will be randomized to either the study group or the control group in a ratio of 1∶1.Participants allocated to the study group will receive RYRY granule, while placebo granule will be applied in the control group.Participants in both groups will be prescribed conventional therapy for manic episode in BD.Four scheduled visits will be conducted over 4 weeks.Outcome measurements include Young Mania Rating Scale,TCM Symptom Pattern Rating Scale,Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale, levels of C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α and the gut microbial community profile of stool samples.Safety outcomes and adverse events will also be recorded. In this study,we set a number of scientific and objective assessments to evaluate the efficacy of RYRY therapy and study into its possible mechanism, hopefully offering clinicians an alternative approach to BD.YANG Yang YUAN Haining JIA Hongxiao NING Yanzhe WANG Di ZHANG Lei YAN Kaijuan GUO Yumeng WANG Fei SUN Weishuang CHEN Pei 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,3:0
