| 1 | Fly ash-based geopolymer as a novel photocatalyst for degradation of dye from wastewater显示文摘The geopolymer synthesized by alkali-activated fly ash was firstly used as a novel photocatalyst for degradation of methylene blue(MB) dye from wastewater.The geopolymer is composed of nanoparticulates with an average particle size of about 50 nm.More than 90%of pore volume in the fly ash-based geopolymer predominately centralized on the pore size in the range of 17-700 nm.The degradation efficiency of MB dye by fly ash-based geopolymer catalyst was up to 92.79%under UV irradiation due to the synergistic effect of adsorption and semiconductor photocatalysis.The pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order rate equations as well as intra-particle diffusion rate equation were employed to correlate analysis for the adsorption kinetics of MB dye.The experimental data agreed well with pseudo-second-order rate equation in both cases of with UV and without UV irradiations.The intra-particle diffusion process is not the rate determining step.The photocatalytic degradation of MB dye in solution obeys third-order reaction kinetics. | Yaojun Zhang Licai Liu | 2013 | Particuology2013,11,3: | 5 |
| 2 | Evaluating transit operator efficiency:An enhanced DEA model with constrained fuzzy-AHP cones显示文摘This study addresses efforts to comb the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) with Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) to deliver a robust enhanced DEA model for transit operator efficiency assessment.The proposed model is designed to better capture inherent preferences information over input and output indicators by adding constraint cones to the conventional DEA model.A revised fuzzy-AHP model is employed to generate cones,where the proposed model features the integration of the fuzzy logic with a hierarchical AHP structure to:1) normalize the scales of different evaluation indicators,2) construct the matrix of pairwise comparisons with fuzzy set,and 3) optimize the weight of each criterion with a nonlinear programming model.With introduction of cone-based constraints,the new system offers accounting advantages in the interaction among indicators when evaluating the performance of transit operators.To illustrate the applicability of the proposed approach,a real case in Nanjing City,the capital of China's Jiangsu Province,has been selected to assess the efficiencies of seven bus companies based on 2009 and 2010 datasets.A comparison between conventional DEA and enhanced DEA was also conducted to clarify the new system's superiority.Results reveal that the proposed model is more applicable in evaluating transit operator's efficiency thus encouraging a boarder range of applications. | Xin Li Yue Liu Yaojun Wang Zhigang Gao | 2016 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2016,3,3: | 4 |
| 3 | Serum semaphorin 4C as a diagnostic biomarker in breast cancer:A multicenter retrospective study显示文摘Background:To date,there is no approved blood-based biomarker for breast cancer detection.Herein,we aimed to assess semaphorin 4C(SEMA4C),a pivotal protein involved in breast cancer progression,as a serum diagnostic biomarker.Methods:We included 6,213 consecutive inpatients from Tongji Hospital,Qilu Hospital,and Hubei Cancer Hospital.Training cohort and two validation cohorts were introduced for diagnostic exploration and validation.A pan-cancer cohort was used to independently explore the diagnostic potential of SEMA4C among solid tumors.Breast cancer patients who underwent mass excision prior to modified radical mastectomy were also analyzed.We hypothesized that increased pretreatment serum SEMA4C levels,measured using optimized in-house enzymelinked immunosorbent assay kits,could detect breast cancer.The endpoints were diagnostic performance,including area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),sensitivity,and specificity.Post-surgery pathological diagnosis was the reference standard and breast cancer staging followed the TNM classification.There was no restriction on disease stage for eligibilities.Results:We included 2667 inpatients with breast lesions,2378 patients with other solid tumors,and 1168 healthy participants.Specifically,118 patients with breast cancer were diagnosed with stage 0(5.71%),620 with stage I(30.00%),966 with stage II(46.73%),217 with stage III(10.50%),and 8 with stage IV(0.39%).Patients with breast cancer had significantly higher serum SEMA4C levels than benign breast tumor patients and normal controls(P<0.001).Elevated serum SEMA4C levels had AUC of 0.920(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.900–0.941)and 0.932(95%CI:0.911–0.953)for breast cancer detection in the two validation cohorts.The AUCs for detecting early-stage breast cancer(n=366)and ductal carcinoma in situ(n=85)were 0.931(95%CI:0.916–0.946)and 0.879(95%CI:0.832–0.925),respectively.Serum SEMA4C levels significantly decreased after surgery,and the reduction was more striking after modified radical mastectomy,compared with mass excision(P<0.001).The positive rate of enhanced serum SEMA4C levels was 84.77%for breast cancer and below 20.75%for the other 14 solid tumors.Conclusions:Serum SEMA4C demonstrated promising potential as a candidate biomarker for breast cancer diagnosis.However,validation in prospective settings and by other study groups is warranted. | Ya Wang Long Qiao Jie Yang Xiong Li Yaqi Duan Jiahao Liu Shaoqi Chen Huayi Li Dan Liu Tian Fang Jingjing Ma Xiaoting Li Fei Ye Junxiang Wan Juncheng Wei Qin Xu Ensong Guo Ping Jin Mingfu Wu Lin Zhang Yun Xia Yaqun Wu Jun Shao Yaojun Feng Qing Zhang Zongyuan Yang Gang Chen Qinghua Zhang Xingrui Li Shixuan Wang Junbo Hu Xiaoyun Wang Mona P.Tan Kazuaki Takabe Beihua Kong Qifeng Yang Ding Ma Qinglei Gao | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,12: | 3 |
| 4 | Influence of Sr on microstructure and mechanical properties of ZL114 cast alloy显示文摘In the present work, the effects of trace element Sr on the microstructure, tensile properties, fractography and morphology of the eutectic Si of ZL114A (Al-7Si) cast alloy were investigated. The cast ZL114A aluminum alloy was prepared using a metal mold, and then heat treated with the T6 technique. The test results of mechanical properties show that modification element Sr can improve significantly the ultimate tensile strength, elongation and hardness of the ZL114A-T6 aluminum alloy. By adding 0.04%Sr, the values of the tensile strength Rm, elongation A and hardness HB increase from 230 MPa, 1% and 65 to the maximum of 305 MPa, 8%, and 100, respectively. SEM analysis indicates that the near tensile fracture surface on longitudinal section of the ZL114A-T6 alloy reveals a transgranular fracture mode without Sr modification, while the tensile fracture is an intergranular fracture mode after Sr modification. | 5 | Microstructure,mechanical properties and wear resistance of an Al-Mg-Si alloy produced by equal channel angular pressing显示文摘Microstructure,mechanical properties and wear resistance in an ultrafine grained Al-Mg-Si alloy fabricated utilizing a combination of equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)and dynamic aging were investigated in this paper.The results indicated that the grain size of the ECAP alloy was significantly refined,i.e,to^239 nm after three ECAP passes.Meanwhile,the yield and tensile strength of the ECAPed material reached 340 MPa and 445 MPa,respectively,while maintaining a significant uniform elongation of 14%.Wear resistance results de-monstrated that the wear rate,wear depth and width of the ECAPed material decreased in comparison with the solution.treated(SST)and peak aged(T6)conditions under a load range of 5-25 N.The adhesive wear that occurs in the undeformed specimens at 10 N does not appear in the ECAPed specimen at the same load,in-dicating that the ECAPed specimen delay the appearance of more serious wear mechanisms under certain loads.The cooperative interaction of high density nano-scaleβ'precipitates and dislocations resulted in a combination of super-high strength and good work hardening ability which suppressed the extension of cracks between the friction layer and the plastic deformation zone.As a consequence,the combination of ECAP and dynamic aging brings a significant improvement for antifriction performance of the 6061 aluminum alloy. | Manping Liu Jian Chen Yaojun Lin Zhoulei Xue Hans J.Roven Pal C.Skaret | 2020 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2020,30,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Climate-driven acceleration of glacier mass loss on global and regional scales during 1961–2016显示文摘During the past decades, glacier mass loss is becoming increasingly significant worldwide but knowledge about the acceleration is still limited despite its potentially profound impacts on sea level rise, water resources availability and glacial hazards. In this study, we analyzed the acceleration of glacier mass loss based on in-situ measurements and on the latest compilation dataset of direct and geodetic observations for the period 1961–2016. The results showed that the rate of glacier mass loss has increased worldwide during the past decades. At the global scale, the rate of glacier mass loss has been accelerating at 5.76±1.35 Gt a-2 as well as 0.0074±0.0016 m w.e.a-2 on mass balance(refer to the area-averaged mass change value) during the whole period. At regional scales, for mass change rate, the heavily glacierized regions excluding Antarctic and Subantarctic exhibited a larger acceleration compared to other regions. The highest acceleration of mass change was found in Alaska glaciers(1.33±0.47 Gt a-2) over the full period. As for mass balance, high acceleration occurred on the regions with small glaciers as well as on the heavily glacierized regions. Central Europe exhibited the highest acceleration(0.024±0.0088 m w.e.a-2) during 1961–2016. High level of consistency between the acceleration and temperature implies that climate warming had a significant effect on the accelerating of glacier mass loss. Moreover, acceleration of the contribution from the Greenland ice sheet(0.028 to0.070 mm a-2) and Antarctic ice sheet(0.023 to 0.058 mm a-2) to sea level rise exceeds acceleration of the contribution from global glaciers(0.019±0.013 mm a-2). | 19 | Aerodynamic stability evolution tendency of suspension bridges with spans from 1000 to 5000 m显示文摘Aerodynamic instability owing to aerostatic and flutter-related failures is a significant concern in the wind-resistant design of long-span suspension bridges.Based on the dynamic characteristics of suspension bridges with spans ranging from 888 to 1991 m,we proposed fitted equations for increasing spans and base frequencies.Finite element models of suspension bridges with increasing span from 1000 to 5000 m were constructed.The structural parameters were optimized to follow the fitted tendencies.To analyze the aerodynamic instability,streamlined single-box section(SBS),lattice truss section(LTS),narrow slotted section(NSS),and wide slotted section(WSS)were considered.We performed three-dimensional(3-D)full-mode flutter analysis and nonlinear aerostatic instability analysis.The flutter critical wind speed continuously decreases with span growth,showing an unlimited approaching phenomenon.Regarding aerostatic instability,the instability wind speed decreases with span to approximately 3000 m,and increases when the span is in the range of 3000 to 5000 m.Minimum aerostatic instability wind speed with SBS or LTS girder would be lower than observed maximal gust wind speed,indicating the probability of aerostatic instability.This study proposes that suspension bridge with span approximately 3000 m should be focused on both aerostatic instability and flutter,and more aerodynamic configuration optimistic optimizations for flutter are essential for super long-span suspension bridges with spans longer than 3000 m. | Yejun DING Lin ZHAO Rong XIAN Gao LIU Haizhu XIAO Yaojun GE | 2023 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2023,17,10: | 0 |
