2Plasma metabolomic and lipidomic alterations associated with COVID-19显示文摘The pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a global public health crisis.The symptoms of COVID-19 range from mild to severe,but the physiological changes associated with COVID-19 are barely understood.In this study,we performed targeted metabolomic and lipidomic analyses of plasma from a cohort of patients with COVID-19 who had experienced different symptoms.We found that metabolite and lipid alterations exhibit apparent correlation with the course of disease in these patients,indicating that the development of COVID-19 affected their whole-body metabolism.In particular,malic acid of the TCA cycle and carbamoyl phosphate of the urea cycle result in altered energy metabolism and hepatic dysfunction,respectively.It should be noted that carbamoyl phosphate is profoundly down-regulated in patients who died compared with patients with mild symptoms.And,more importantly,guanosine monophosphate(GMP),which is mediated not only by GMP synthase but also by CD39 and CD73,is significantly changed between healthy subjects and patients with COVID-19,as well as between the mild and fatal cases.In addition,dyslipidemia was observed in patients with COVID-19.Overall,the disturbed metabolic patterns have been found to align with the progress and severity of COVID-19.This work provides valuable knowledge about plasma biomarkers associated with COVID-19 and potential therapeutic targets,as well as an important resource for further studies of the pathogenesis of COVID-19.Di Wu Ting Shu Xiaobo Yang Jian-Xin Song Mingliang Zhang Chengye Yao Wen Liu Muhan Huang Yuan Yu Qingyu Yang Tingju Zhu Jiqian Xu Jingfang Mu Yaxin Wang Hong Wang Tang Tang Yujie Ren Yongran Wu Shu-Hai Lin Yang Qiu Ding-Yu Zhang You Shang Xi Zhou 2020National Science Review2020,7,7:9
3Graphene TiO_2 nanocomposites with high photocatalytic activity for the degradation of sodium pentachlorophenol显示文摘A series of graphene–TiO2photocatalysts was synthesized by doping TiO2 with graphene oxide via hydrothermal treatment. The photocatalytic capability of the catalysts under ultraviolet irradiation was evaluated in terms of sodium pentachlorophenol(PCP-Na) decomposition and mineralization. The structural and physicochemical properties of these nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2adsorption–desorption, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, Ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectra, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The graphene–TiO2nanocomposites exhibited higher photocatalytic efficiency than commercial P25 for the degradation of PCP-Na, and 63.4% to 82.9% of the total organic carbon was fully mineralized. The improved photocatalytic activity may be attributed to the accelerated interfacial electron-transfer process and the significantly prolonged lifetime of electron-hole pairs imparted by graphene sheets in the nanocomposites. 4Heterostructured Nitrogen and Sulfur co-Doped Black TiO2/g-C3N4 Photocatalyst with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Conventional titanium dioxide(TiO2)photocatalyst could absorb only ultraviolet light due to its wide bandgap.In this paper,black TiO2 with narrow bandgap was prepared by introducing oxygen vacancies.Meanwhile.nitrogen(N)and sulfur(S)elements were doped to further broaden the visible light response range of TiOx(NS-BT),and then heterostructured N.S-doped black TiOz/g-C3Na(CN/NS-BT)was successfully constructed by easily accessible route.The formation of CN/NS-BT heteroiunction structure increased the generation and separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs,as well as accelerated the transfer rate of the carriers.The as-prepared CN/NS-BT exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance towards the degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB)under visible light irradiation with satisfactory stability.The apparent reaction rate constant of CN/NS-BT(0.0079)was 15.8-fold higher than that of commercial P25(0.0005),The structure,morphology,chemical composition and optical properties of the as-prepared CN/NS-BT were characterized by various analytical methods,and possible photocatalytic enhancement mechanism was proposed.Overall,CN/NS-BT composites look promising as photocatalytic material for future environmental treatment.MENG Zeshuol ZHOU Bo XU Jian LI Yaxin HU Xiaoying TIAN Hongwei 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,6:2

8Association between time in range and cancer mortality among patients with type 2 diabetes:a prospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Little was known about the association among time in range(TIR),time above range(TAR),time below range(TBR),and cancer mortality among patients with type 2 diabetes.We aimed to investigate the association among TIR,TAR,TBR,and the risk of cancer mortality among patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods:A total of 6225 patients with type 2 diabetes were prospectively recruited in Shanghai,China.TIR was measured with continuous glucose monitoring at baseline and was defined as the average percentage of time in the target glucose range during a 24 h period.Cox proportion hazard regression analysis was used to determine the association between TIR and the risk of cancer mortality.Results:During a mean follow-up of 7.10 years,we confirmed 237 death events related to cancer.The multivariable-adjusted hazard ratio(HR)for cancer mortality was 1.32(95%confidence interval[CI]:1.01-1.75)in patients with TIR≤70%compared with those with TIR>70%.When TIR was considered as a continuous variable,the multivariable-adjusted HR for cancer mortality associated with each 10%decrease in TIR was 1.07(95%CI:1.02-1.14).In the site-specific analysis,a significant association between TIR as a continuous variable and the risk of hepatocellular cancer was found(HR:1.24;95%CI:1.09-1.41).However,no relationship between hemoglobin A1c and cancer mortality was observed(HR:1.04;95%CI:0.97-1.10).Conclusions:The present study found an inverse association of TIR with the risk of cancer mortality among patients with type 2 diabetes.New evidence of TIR was added into the clinical practice that TIR may be an optimal target of glycemic control among patients with type 2 diabetes.Yun Shen Chunfang Wang Yaxin Wang Jingyi Lu Lei Chen Lei Zhang Wei Lu Wei Zhu Gang Hu Tian Xia Jian Zhou 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,3:1

16Dingxin recipe alleviates atherosclerosis injury in Apo E-knockout mice via downregulation of visfatin expression and inhibition of the visfatin-induced inflammatory response显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To further elucidate the mechanism underlying the anti-atherosclerotic effect of Dingxin recipe(DXR).METHODS:Fifty 6-week-old male Apo E^-/-mice were randomly divided into the following groups:model,simvastatin(5 mg·kg^-1·d^-1),DXR low-dose(9.30 g·kg^-1·d^-1),DXR middle-dose(18.59 g·kg^-1·d^-1)and DXR high-dose(37.18 g·kg^-1·d^-1)(n=10).Ten male C57BL/6J mice were used as the control group.All Apo E^-/-mice were fed a high-fat diet(HFD)and the control mice received a common diet.After HFD for 12 weeks,the mice were treated with DXR or simvastatin for another 12 weeks.The expression of inflammatory cytokines and visfatin was determined in serum and atherosclerotic lesions by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Visfatin expression was also assessed in aortic atherosclerotic plaques.Cultured vessel endothelial cells(VECs)were pretreated with DXR sera prior to visfatin.The effects of DXR were analyzed to elucidate its protective mechanism against visfatin-induced inflammation in VECs.RESULTS:DXR regulated blood lipids and reduced tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),intercellular adhesion molecules-1(ICAM-1),vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1)and visfatin expression in Apo E^-/-mice,particularly at the higher doses.The areas of atherosclerotic lesions in the DXR groups were significantly smaller than those in the model group.DXR alleviated visfatin-induced VEC injury via downregulation of TNF-α,IL-6,ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 through mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways.CONCLUSION:DXR alleviated atherosclerosis injury via downregulation of visfatin expression and inhibition of the visfatin-induced inflammatory response in VECs.Cui Xiaobing Huang Zhiyong Lou Linjie Cheng Saibo Zhang Yu Zhang Yaxin Jia Yuhua Zhou Fenghua 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:1
17Automatic marker-free registration of single tree point-cloud data based on rotating projection显示文摘Point-cloud data acquired using a terrestrial laser scanner play an important role in digital forestry research.Multiple scans are generally used to overcome occlusion effects and obtain complete tree structural information.However,the placement of artificial reflectors in a forest with complex terrain for marker-based registration is time-consuming and difficult.In this study,an automatic coarse-to-fine method for the registration of pointcloud data from multiple scans of a single tree was proposed.In coarse registration,point clouds produced by each scan are projected onto a spherical surface to generate a series of two-dimensional(2D)images,which are used to estimate the initial positions of multiple scans.Corresponding feature-point pairs are then extracted from these series of 2D images.In fine registration,point-cloud data slicing and fitting methods are used to extract corresponding central stem and branch centers for use as tie points to calculate fine transformation parameters.To evaluate the accuracy of registration results,we propose a model of error evaluation via calculating the distances between center points from corresponding branches in adjacent scans.For accurate evaluation,we conducted experiments on two simulated trees and six real-world trees.Average registration errors of the proposed method were 0.026 m around on simulated tree point clouds,and 0.049 m around on real-world tree point clouds.Xiuxian Xu Pei Wang Xiaozheng Gan Jingqian Sun Yaxin Li Li Zhang Qing Zhang Mei Zhou Yinghui Zhao Xinwei Li 2022Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture2022,,1:1
18Structure and properties of CIGS films based on one-stage RF-sputtering process at low substrate temperature显示文摘Currently, Nanjing South Railway Station planning to implement slate roof renovation is integrating solar cell modules into traditional roof materials to generate clean energy. Copper–indium–gallium diselenide(CuIn1-xGaxSe2, CIGS) is one of the most promising materials for thin film solar cells. Cu(In1-xGax)Se2films were deposited by a one-step radio frequency magnetron sputtering process at low substrate temperature. X-ray diffraction, Raman, scanning electron microscopy, energydispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and electrical and optical measurements were carried out to investigate the deposited films. The results reveal that a temperature of 320 °C is critical for near-stoichiometric CIGS films with uniform surface morphology. Cu-rich phase particulates are found at less than this temperature. 19Lipidomic analyses reveal enhanced lipolysis in planthoppers feeding on resistant host plants显示文摘The brown planthopper(BPH)(Nilaparvata lugens St?l)is a highly destructive pest that seriously damages rice(Oryza sativa L.)and causes severe yield losses.To better understand the physiological and metabolic mechanisms through which BPHs respond to resistant rice,we combined mass-spectrometry-based lipidomics with transcriptomic analysis and gene knockdown techniques to compare the lipidomes of BPHs feeding on either of the two resistant(NIL-Bph6 and NIL-Bph9)plants or a wild-type,BPH susceptible(9311)plant.Insects that were fed on resistant rice transformed triglyceride(TG)to phosphatidylcholine(PC)and digalactosyldiacylglycerol(DGDG),with these lipid classes showing significant alterations in fatty acid composition.Moreover,the insects that were fed on resistant rice were characterized by prominent expression changes in genes involved in lipid metabolism processes.Knockdown of the NlBmm gene,which encodes a lipase that regulates the mobilization of lipid reserves,significantly increased TG content and feeding performance of BPHs on resistant plants relative to dsGFP-injected BPHs.Our study provides the first detailed description of lipid changes in BPHs fed on resistant and susceptible rice genotypes.Results from BPHs fed on resistant rice plants reveal that these insects can accelerate TG mobilization to provide energy for cell proliferation,body maintenance,growth and oviposition.Xiaohong Zheng Yeyun Xin Yaxin Peng Junhan Shan Ning Zhang Di Wu Jianping Guo Jin Huang Wei Guan Shaojie Shi Cong Zhou Rongzhi Chen Bo Du Lili Zhu Fang Yang Xiqin Fu Longping Yuan Guangcun He 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9:1
