| 2 | Prediction of cervical lymph node metastases in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma by sonographic features of the primary site显示文摘Objective: To study the sonographic features of the primary site of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma(PTMC) for the prediction of cervical lymph node metastasis during preoperative diagnosis.Methods: A total of 710 PTMC patients between 2013 and 2016 with a diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastases were reviewed.We analyzed the sonographic features of the PTMC primary site to predict ipsilateral or central lymph node metastases in univariate and multivariate models.The ratio of abutment/perimeter of the PTMC primary site was utilized to evaluate cervical lymph node status.Results: Regarding clinical characteristics, multifocality and extrathyroidal extension were associated with cervical lymph node involvement.In the multivariate regression model, calcification and the abutment/perimeter ratio of lesions were evaluated as independent factors in level Ⅵ, ipsilateral or skip cervical lymph node metastases.The cut-off value of the ratio of abutment/perimeter of the PTMC primary site(25%) was significantly correlated with cervical lymph node metastases(P = 0.000).Conclusions: Independent sonographic features, including lesion size, lesion location, calcification, and the ratio of abutment/perimeter of the primary site, were associated with cervical lymph node metastases in PTMC patients. | Xi Wei Meng Wang Xiaoqing Wang Xiangqian Zheng Ying Li Yi Pan Yueguo Li Jiali Mu Yang Yu Dapeng Li Ming Gao Sheng Zhang | 2019 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3: | 22 |
| 3 | Toward reverse engineering on secret S-boxes in block ciphers显示文摘It has been widely accepted that the security cryptosystems should be only dependent on the security of their secret keys.However,there are still secret ciphers with unknown components in their commercial applications due to various reasons.The existing reverse engineering analyzes are developed for analyzing specific ciphers,and cannot cope with secret algorithms with diferent structures.By looking into the common characteristics of the secret algorithms of ciphers implemented with unknown S-boxes,we proposed a novel reverse engineering analysis approach referred to as Signed Reverse Engineering based on Diferential Power Analysis(SREDPA).It is a generic reverse engineering analysis and can recover the parameters of the secret S-boxes of the block ciphers in typical structures such as SPN,Feistel,and XFeistel(eXtended Feistel).By identifying the bias of the diferential power analysis(DPA)traces,we build the theoretical model of SREDPA and prove its efectiveness.Experiments are performed on secret algorithms in diferent structures and further validate our SREDPA experimentally.The complexity of SREDPA only relies on the size of S-boxes and the reverse engineering analysis is efcient.As shown in the theoretical analysis and the conducted experiments,our SREDPA approach is readily to be extended for analyzing other secret ciphers with unknown S-boxes.This renders a new challenge on the design and implementation of secret ciphers. | TANG Ming QIU ZhenLong PENG HongBo HU XiaoBo YI Mu ZHANG HuanGuo | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,3: | 4 |
| 4 | MicroRNA-145 plays a role in mitochondrial dysfunction in alveolar epithelial cells in lipopolysaccharide-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome显示文摘BACKGROUND: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) causes substantial mortalities.Alveolar epithelium is one of the main sites of cell injuries in ARDS. As an important kind of microRNAs(miRNAs), microRNA-145 (miR-145) has been studied in various diseases, while its role in ARDS has notbeen investigated.METHODS: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was intratracheally instilled to establish a rat ARDS model.Cytokines from bronchoalveolar lavage fl uid (BALF) were measured using rat tumor necrosis factor-α andinterleukin-6 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits (R&D Systems), and the pathological structureswere evaluated using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and transmission electron microscope;thelung miR-145 messenger RNA (mRNA) was detected using quantitative polymerase chain reaction.Bioinformatics focused on the target genes and possible pathways of gene regulation.RESULTS: A rat model of LPS-induced ARDS was successfully established. The miR-145was down-regulated in the LPS-induced ARDS lung, and mitochondrial dysfunction was observedin alveolar epithelial cells, most obviously at 72 hours after LPS. TargetScan and miRDB databaseswere used to predict the target genes of miR-145. A total of 428 overlapping genes were identifi ed,seven genes were associated with mitochondrial function, and Ogt, Camk2d, Slc8a3, and Slc25a25were verifi ed. | 12 | Clinical significance of serum IgM and IgG levels in COVID-19 patients in Hubei Province,China显示文摘Background:There have been many studies about coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),but the clinical signifi-cance of quantitative serum severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)-specific IgM and IgG levels of COVID-19 patients have not been exhaustively analyzed.We aimed to investigate the time profiles of these IgM/IgG levels in COVID-19 patients and their correlations with clinical features.Methods:A multicenter clinical study was conducted from February 20 to March 52020.It involved 179 COVID-19 patients(108 males and 71 females)from five hospitals in Huangshi in Hubei Province,China.To detect SARS-CoV-2-specific IgM/IgG,quantitative antibody assays(two-step indirect immunoassays with direct chemilu-minescence technology)based on the nucleocapsid protein(NP)and spike protein 1(S1)were used.For normally distributed data,means were compared using the t-test,��2-test,or exact probability method.For categorical data,medians were compared using Mann-Whitney U test.Results:The median age was 57(44-69)years(58[38-69]for males and 57[49-68]for females).The median duration of positive nucleic acid test was 22.32(17.34-27.43)days.The mortality rate was relatively low(3/179,1.68%).Serum SARS-CoV-2-specific IgG was detected around week 1 after illness onset,gradually increased until peaking in weeks 4 and 5,and then declined.Serum IgM peaked in weeks 2 and 3,then gradually declined and returned to its normal range by week 7 in all patients.Notably,children had milder respiratory symptoms with lower SARS-CoV-2-specific IgM/IgG levels.The duration of positive nucleic acid test in the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)group was 30.36(18.99-34.76)days,which was significantly longer than that in the non-COPD group(21.52[16.75-26.51]days;P=0.025).The peak serum SARS-CoV-2-specific IgG was sig-nificantly positively correlated with the duration of positive nucleic acid test.The incidence rate of severe and critical cases in the IgM hi group(using the median IgM level of 29.95 AU/mL as the cutofffor grouping)was about 38.0%(19/50),which was twice as much as that in the IgM lo group(18.4%;9/49).The patients with positive chest imaging and lymphocytopenia(<1×10^(9)/L)had a higher SARS-CoV-2-specific IgM level.Conclusions: Quantitative SARS-CoV-2-specific IgM and IgG levels are helpful for the diagnosis, severity classifi- cation, and management of COVID-19 patients, and they should be monitored in each stage of this disease. | Zhenjiang Bai Qing Li Qinghui Chen Changming Niu Yu Wei Hanpeng Huang Wei Zhao Nian Chen Xin Yao Qiang Zhang Chuanyong Mu Jian Feng Chuanlong Zhu Zhuo Li Ming Ding Binhui Feng Chaochao Jin Xiang Lu Yi Yang Shuiyan Wu Xiaochen Shu Haibo Qiu YingZi Huang | 2022 | Journal of Intensive Medicine2022,2,1: | 0 |
