1Development of a widely targeted volatilomics method for profiling volatilomes in plants显示文摘Volatile organic compounds play essential roles in plant environment interactions as well as determining the fragrance of plants.Although gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-based untargeted metabolo-mics is commonly used to assess plant volatiles,it suffers from high spectral convolution,low detection sensitivity,a limited number of annotated metabolites,and relatively poor reproducibility.Here,we report a widely targeted volatilomics(WTV)method that involves using a“targeted spectra extraction”algorithm to address spectral convolution,constructing a high-coverage MS2 spectral tag library to expand volatile annotation,adapting a multiple reaction monitoring mode to improve sensitivity,and using regression models to adjust for signal drift.The newly developed method was used to profile the volatilome of rice grains.Compared with the untargeted method,the newly developed WTV method shows higher sensitivity(for example,the signal-to-noise ratio of guaicol increased from 4.1 to 18.8),high annotation coverage(the number of annotated volatiles increased from 43 to 132),and better reproducibility(the number of volatiles in quality control samples with relative standard deviation value below 30.0%increased from 14 to 92 after normalization).Using the WTV method,we studied the metabolic responses of tomato to environmental stimuli and profiled the volatilomes of different rice accessions.The results identified benzothiazole as a potential airborne signal priming tomato plants for enhanced defense and 2-nonanone and 2-heptanone as novel aromatic compounds contributing to rice fragrance.These case studies suggest that the widely targeted volatilomics method is more efficient than those currently used and may considerably promote plant volatilomics studies.Honglun Yuan Guangping Cao Xiaodong Hou Menglan Huang Pengmeng Du Tingting Tan Youjin Zhang Haihong Zhou Xianqing Liu Ling Liu Yiding Jiangfang Yufei Li Zhenhuan Liu Chuanying Fang Liqing Zhao Alisdair R.Fernie Jie Luo 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,1:2
2Interannual Variability and Scenarios Projection of Sea Ice in Bohai Sea Part Ⅰ: Variation Characteristics and Interannual Hindcast显示文摘The Bohai Sea is one of the southernmost areas for sea ice formation in the northern hemisphere.Sea ice disasters in this body of water severely affect marine activities and the safety of coastal residents.In this study,we analyze the variation characteristics of the sea ice in the Bohai Sea and establish an annual regression model based on predictable mode analysis method.The results show the following:1)From 1970 to 2018,the average ice grade is(2.6±0.8),with a maximum of 4.5 and a minimum of 1.0.Liaodong Bay(LDB)has the heaviest ice conditions in the Bohai Sea,followed by Bohai Bay(BHB)and Laizhou Bay(LZB).Interannual variation is obvious in all three bays,but the linear decreasing trend is significant only in BHB.2)Three modes are obtained from empirical orthogonal function analysis,namely,single polarity mode with the same sign of anomaly in all of the three bays and strong interannual variability(82.0%),the north–south dipole mode with BHB and LZB showing an opposite sign of anomalies to that in LDB and strong decadal variations(14.5%),and a linear trend mode(3.5%).Critical factors are analyzed and regression equations are established for all the principal components,and then an annual hindcast model is established by synthesizing the results of the three modes.This model provides an annual spatial prediction of the sea ice in the Bohai Sea for the first time,and meets the demand of operational sea ice forecasting.JIAO Yan HUANG Fei LIU Qingrong LI Ge LI Yaru YU Qingxi ZHAO Yiding 2020Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,2:2

9YSO coded aperture camera based on depth of interaction for location correction显示文摘Purpose Coded aperture imaging was a widely used imaging method for radiation sources.However,the traditional gamma camera based on two-dimensional projection information for coded aperture imaging ignored the influence of the interaction depth of particles and detectors on the projection information,which reduced the imaging quality of the camera to some extent.Therefore,a method of correcting the coded gamma camera based on the interaction depth of particles and detectors is proposed to improve the location accuracy of detectors.Methods The camera developed in this work uses a 7×7 YSO crystal array coupled with two 7×7 Si-PM arrays.The crystal is evenly divided into 11 parts in the depth direction,with a voxel size of 3×3×3 mm3.The coded mask is a 13×13 array,which is a mosaic of two cycles of 7×7 modified uniformly redundant array mask.The depth resolution of the detector is obtained via the subsurface laser engraving dual-end readout method.After obtaining the three-dimensional position information of the interaction point the projection information obtained by the detector is layered,and the image is reconstructed.According to the spatial position information of the detector and the coded mask,the corresponding field of view of each layer of the detector is calculated,and the reconstructed image of each layer is amplified and superimposed according to the ratio of the field of view to obtain the reconstructed image combined with the depth information.Results and conclusion According to Monte Carlo simulation and radiation source imaging experiment results,this method can effectively improve the positioning ability of the detector.For the experimental scenario mentioned in the paper,the location accuracy can be improved by up to 1.54°.Yiding Han Xiaopan Jiang Haohui Tang Xiuzuo Liang Xuanhou Hu Xianchao Huang Zhiming Zhang Lei Shuai Jing Guo Long Wei 2023Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,4:0
10Experiment validation of the high stability of long-term transmitted gamma photon counting of a new CdZnTe semiconductor detector and its preliminary applications显示文摘Purpose To develop a detector system with high stability in counting the detection of transmitted gamma photons,which can be applied in the area of non-destructive testing.Method We used the cadmium zinc telluride(CZT)detector with single-polarity electrodes to substitute the traditional scintillator detector and front-end read-out electronics based on our self-designed low-noise charge-sensitive amplifier.Results and conclusion The energy resolution of 662 keV from 137Cs radioactive source was improved to 1.9%,and the relative standard deviation of different total counts of transmitted photons detected decreased to 0.05%when the counts were more than 5×107,which means the impact from the statisticalfluctuation of long-term gamma photons counting will not be a main obstacle to achieving high precision in the area of non-destructive testing.The preliminary experiment of inspecting the inner gaps in the metal rodsfilled with samples also proved to have good prospects for the CZT detector in non-destructive testing.Chao Wang Yantao Liu Xiaopan Jiang Xianchao Huang Xiaoming Wang Yu Xiang Yiding Han Long Wei Zhiming Zhang 2022Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2022,6,3:0
11Alpha particle detection with a planar CdZnTe detector and relative simulations显示文摘Purpose The performance of CZT inγ-ray and X-ray detection is growing rapidly in these years.However,there are only a few reports on its utilization inαparticle detection.Therefore,to study the properties of CZT for detection ofαparticle,a detection system has been manufactured,and a series of simulations have been done.Methods A 22×22×0.7mm^(3) planar CZT detector is deployed to detect theαparticles from a radiation source containing Am-241 and Pu-239,while COMSOL MultiPhysics and GEANT4 are employed in the simulation of charge collection and interaction betweenαparticles and CZT.Results An energy resolution of 1.47%FWHM at 5.486MeV and 1.32%at 5.157MeV has been achieved.A simulated spectrum has been created,and it is analogous to the one from experiment.Conclusion The experiment results show the potential of CZT inαdetection.The simulations are confirmed effective and will guide a better design of the detecting system.Yu Xiang Xiaopan Jiang Chao Wang Fanhui Meng Yiding Han Xianchao Huang Long Wei 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,4:0

13Slow-light-enhanced on-chip 1D and 2D photonic crystal waveguide gas sensing in near-IR with an ultrahigh interaction factor显示文摘Nanophotonic waveguides hold great promise to achieve chip-scale gas sensors. However, their performance is limited by a short light path and small light–analyte overlap. To address this challenge, silicon-based, slow-lightenhanced gas-sensing techniques offer a promising approach. In this study, we experimentally investigated the slow light characteristics and gas-sensing performance of 1D and 2D photonic crystal waveguides(PCWs) in the near-IR(NIR) region. The proposed 2D PCW exhibited a high group index of up to 114, albeit with a high propagation loss. The limit of detection(LoD) for acetylene(C_(2)H_(2)) was 277 parts per million(ppm) for a1 mm waveguide length and an averaging time of 0.4 s. The 1D PCW shows greater application potential compared to the 2D PCW waveguide, with an interaction factor reaching up to 288%, a comparably low propagation loss of 10 dB/cm, and an LoD of 706 ppm at 0.4 s. 14DNA-Based Architectures for in situ Target Biomolecule Analysis in Confined Nano-space显示文摘In situ target biomolecule analysis is of great significance for real-time monitoring and regulation of endogenous biomarkers and elementary biomolecules in vivo.Gratifyingly,the rapid evolution of structural DNA nanotechnology during past decades has established an appealing toolbox for biological analysis and medical detection.The modulated self-assembly and underlying canonical Watson-Crick base-pairing rules provide possibilities for accurate controlling of the topologies and functions of obtained nanomaterials.The probes composed of diverse DNA nanostructures and DNA-nanoparticle complexes can create a confined space,which increases target accessibility and improves probe stability,sensitivity and specificity.In this minireview,we retrospect the research progress of in-situ biomolecular analysis based on DNA nanostructures for intracellular and in vivo biosensors in confined space.The characteristics of distinct DNA nanomaterials are first introduced,and then the fundamentals of biosensing process of designed DNA nanostructures are emphasized.Moreover,we elucidate our perspective over the challenges of this field and discuss the potential directions of this kind of application-oriented fabrication technique.Xiaoxue Hu Yide Huang Hao Yin Lizhi Dai Ye Tian 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,7:0
