Modeling study of regional severe hazes over mid-eastern China in January 2013 and its implications on pollution prevention and control显示文摘The Nested Air Quality Prediction Model System(NAQPMS)was used to investigate the temporal and spatial variations of PM2.5over tropospheric central eastern China in January 2013.The impact of regional transport and its implications on pollution prevention and control were also examined.Comparison between simulated and observed PM2.5showed NAQPMS was able to reproduce the evolution of PM2.5during heavy haze episodes. The results indicated that regional transport of PM2.5played an important role in regional haze episodes in the city cluster including Hebei,Beijing and Tianjin(HBT).The cross-city clusters transport outside HBT and transport among cities inside HBT contributed 20%–35%and 26%–35%of PM2.5as compared with local emission,in HBT respectively. To meet the Air Quality Standards for Grade II,90%,90%and65%of emissions would have to be cut down in Hebei,Tianjin and Beijing,if non-control strategy was taken in the surrounding city clusters of HBT.This implicated that control of emissions in one city cluster is not sufficient to reduce regional haze events, and joint efforts among city clusters are essential.Besides regional transports,two-way feedback between boundary-layer evolution and PM2.5also significantly contributed to the formation of heavy hazes, which contributed 30%of monthly average PM2.5concentration in HBT. | WANG ZiFa LI Jie WANG Zhe YANG WenYi TANG Xiao GE BaoZhu YAN PinZhong ZHU LiLi CHEN XueShun CHEN HuanSheng WAND Wei LI JianJun LIU Bing WANG XiaoYan WAND Wei ZHAO YiLin LU Ning SU DeBin | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,1: | 106
Deep-seated structure and metallogenic dynamics of the Ailaoshan polymetallic mineralization concentration area, Yunnan Province, China显示文摘The Ailaoshan poly-metallic mineralization concentrated area (MCA) consists of the well known Ailaoshan metallogenic belt and adjacent mineral districts and/or deposits. Located in an area of several complex and intersecting tectonic units, the Ailaoshan poly-metallic MCA is controlled by deep crustal and mantle tectonism. Through interpretation of remote sensing images, we identified a large ring structure system that surrounds the MCA. This ring structure encloses regional deep-crustal faults, ductile shear zones, geothermal anomalies, magmatic rocks, and the major mineral deposits, all of which are the reflections of deep tectonic geodynamics that have been long active in this area. Geophysical data indicate that the crust is comprised of relatively stable two or three layers, with some irregular lower-velocity belts. The Moho in the ring sutures occurs as an area of local uplift. There exists an obvious transitional zone between the crust and mantle boundaries. Asthenopheric mantle shows multi-layer upwelling, which indicates multiple events during different geological epochs. It is believed that these mantle events or pulses were responsible for the formation of the regional shear zones, magmatic rocks, and polymetallic orebodies. Furthermore, an integrated metallogenic dynamics model related to the asthenopheric upwelling pulses in the MCA is established, defining events as old as Late Paleozoic. | GE LiangSheng DENG Jun GUO XiaoDong ZOU YiLin LIU YinChun | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,10: | 16
Pertuzumab in combination with trastuzumab and chemotherapy for Chinese patients with HER2-positive metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer:a subpopulation analysis of the JACOB trial显示文摘Background:The JACOB trial(NCT01774786)was a double-blinded,placebo-controlled,randomized,multicenter,international,phase III trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of adding pertuzumab to trastuzumab and chemo-therapy in first-line treatment of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-positive metastatic gastric cancer/gastroesophageal junction cancer(GEJC).The aim of this analysis was to investigate efficacy and safety outcomes in the Chinese subpopulation from the JACOB trial. Methods:This post hoc subpopulation analysis included all patients recruited in China's Mainland(n=163;20.9%)between June 2013 and January 2016.The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive pertuzumab plus trastuzumab and chemotherapy(pertuzumab group;n=82)or placebo plus trastuzumab and chemotherapy(con-trol group;n=81).Intravenous pertuzumab(840 mg)and trastuzumab(8 mg/kg loading and 6 mg/kg maintenance doses)were given every 3 weeks until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.Chemotherapy was given as per standard regimens/doses of capecitabine or 5-fluorouracil plus cisplatin. The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS);secondary efficacy endpoints included progression-free survival(PFS),and overall objective response rate(ORR).Results:The median OS was 18.7 months in the pertuzumab group and 16.1 months in the control group(hazard ratio[HR]0.75;95%confidence interval[CI]0.49 to 1.14).The median PFS was 10.5 and 8.6 months in the pertuzumab and control groups, respectively(HR 0.85;95%CI 0.60 to 1.21),and the median ORRs were 68.9%and 55.7%,respectively.The treatment effect in this Chinese subpopulation showed consistency with that in the global ITT population with numerically lower HR for OS and PFS compared with the control group. The safety profiles of the pertuzumab and control groups in this Chinese subpopulation analysis were generally comparable. The most common grade 3-5adverse events were neutropenia, anemia, and leukopenia. However, due to the nature of being a post hoc subgroup analysis, the results presented here are descriptive only and need to be interpreted with caution. Conclusions:OS and PFS were numerically improved by adding pertuzumab to trastuzumab and chemotherapy as first-line treatment in Chinese HER2-positive gastric cancer/GEJC patients, and this regimen demonstrated an acceptable safety profile. | Tianshu Liu Yanru Qin Jin Li Ruihua Xu Jianming Xu Shujun Yang Shukui Qin Yuxian Bai Changping Wu Yixiang Mao Haiyan Wu Yilin Ge Lin Shen | 2019 | Cancer Communications2019,39,1: | 6
Direct observation of chaotic resonances in optical microcavities显示文摘Optical microcavities play a significant role in the study of classical and quantum chaos. To date, most experimental explorations of their internal wave dynamics have focused on the properties of their inputs and outputs, without directly interrogating the dynamics and the associated mode patterns inside. As a result, this key information is rarely retrieved with certainty, which significantly restricts the verification and understanding of the actual chaotic motion. Here we demonstrate a simple and robust approach to directly and rapidly map the internal mode patterns in chaotic microcavities.By introducing a local index perturbation through a pump laser,we report a spectral response of optical microcavities that is proportional to the internal field distribution. With this technique, chaotic modes with staggered mode spacings can be distinguished.Consequently,a complete chaos assisted tunneling(CAT)and its time-reversed process are experimentally verified in the optical domain with unprecedented certainty. | Shuai Wang Shuai Liu Yilin Liu Shumin Xiao Zi Wang Yubin Fan Jiecai Han Li Ge Qinghai Song | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,8: | 3
Recent progress on chikungunya virus research显示文摘Chikungunya virus(CHIKV) is an arbovirus transmitted by Aedes mosquitos in tropical and subtropical regions across the world. After decades of sporadic outbreaks, it re-emerged in Africa,Asia, India Ocean and America suddenly, causing major regional epidemics recently and becoming a notable global health problem. Infection by CHIKV results in a spectrum of clinical diseases including an acute self-limiting febrile illness in most individuals, a chronic phase of recurrent join pain in a proportion of patients, and long-term arthralgia for months to years for the unfortunate few. No specific anti-viral drugs or licensed vaccines for CHIKV are available so far. A better understanding of virus-host interactions is essential for the development of therapeutics and vaccines. To this end, we reviewed the existing knowledge on CHIKV's epidemiology, clinical presentation, molecular virology, diagnostic approaches, host immune response, vaccine development, and available animal models. Such a comprehensive overview, we believe, will shed lights on the promises and challenges in CHIKV vaccine development. | Wenxi An Ningning Ge Yilin Cao Jin Sun Xia Jin | 2017 | Virologica Sinica2017,32,6: | 2

FeSb@N-doped carbon quantum dots anchored in 3D porous N-doped carbon with pseudocapacitance effect enabling fast and ultrastable potassium storage显示文摘Potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)are promising ne15t-generation energy storage candidates due to abundant resources and low cost.Sb-based materials with high theoretical capacity(660 mAh·g^(-1))and low working potential are considered as promising anode for PIBs.The remaining challenge is poor stability and slow kinetics. In this work,FeSb@N-doped carbon quantum dots anchored in three-dimensional(3D)porous N-doped carbon(FeSb@C/Nc3DC/N),a Sb-based material with a particular structure,is designed and constructed by a green salt-template method. As an anode for PIBs,it exhibits extraordinarily high-rate and long-cycle stability(a capacity of 245 mAh·g^(-1) at 3,080 mAh·g^(-1) after 1,000 cycles). The pseudocapacitance contribution(83%)is demonstrated as the origin of high-rate performance of the FeSb@C/NС3DC/N electrode.Furthermore, the potassium storage mechanism in the electrode is systematically investigated through ex-situ characterization techniques including ex-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Overall, this study could provide a useful guidance for future design of high-performance electrode materials for PIBs. | Zhihui Li Qingmeng Gan Yifan Zhang Jing Hu Peng Liu Changhong Xu Xibing Wu Yilin Ge Feng Wang Qingrong Yao Zhouguang Lu Jianqiu Deng | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 0
The synthesis and structure of pyridine-oxadiazole iridium complexes and catalytic applications:Non-coordinating-anion-tuned selective C—N bond formation显示文摘Several novel pyridine-oxadiazole iridium complexes were synthesized and characterized through X-ray crystallography. The designed iridium.complexes revealed surprisingly high catalytic activity in C-N bondformation of amides and benzyl alcohols with the assistance of non-coordinating anions. In an attempt to achieve borrowing hydrogen reactions of amides with benzyl alcohols,N,N'-(phenylmethylene)dibenzamide products we re unexpectedly isolated under non-coordinating anion conditions, whereas N-benzylbenzamide products were achieved in the absence of non-coordinating anions. The mechanism explorations excluded the possibility of'silver effect'(silver-assisted or bimetallic catalysis)and revealed that the reactivity of iridium catalyst was varied by non-coordinating anions. This work provided a convenient and useful methodology that allowed the iridium complex to be a chemoselective catalyst and demonstrated the first example of non-coordinating-anion-tuned selective C-N bond formation. | Wei Yao Yilin Zhang Haiyan Zhu Chenyang Ge Dawei Wang | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3: | 0
Design and synthesis of novel α-aminoamides derivatives as Nav1.7 inhibitors for antinociception显示文摘Three novel series of α-aminoamides derivatives were designed and synthesized based on ralfinamide, and their Nav1.7 inhibitory activities were evaluated using manual patch clamp electrophysiology. Active compounds inhibited Nav1.7 with half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC_(50)) values ranging from2.9 μmol/L to 21.4 μmol/L. Among them, the most potent compound 19h exhibited about 12-fold potency better than ralfinamide. The investigation of their structure-activity relationship gives a strategy to improve the Nav1.7 inhibition of ralfinamide analogues. Compound 19h was efficacious in antinociception in the mouse spared nerve injury(SNI) model of neuropathic pain without causing sedation in the open field test. | Dengqi Xue Yani Liu Yilin Zheng Heling Niu Liying Dong Xiangshuo Ouyang Siyu Song Denggao Zhang Qianwei Ge Kewei Wang Liming Shao | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,3: | 0
Stem cell microencapsulation maintains stemness in inflammatory microenvironment显示文摘Maintaining the stemness of the transplanted stem cell spheroids in an inflammatory microenvironment is challenging but important in regenerative medicine. Direct delivery of stem cells to repair periodontal defects may yield suboptimal effects due to the complexity of the periodontal inflammatory environment. Herein, stem cell spheroid is encapsulated by interfacial assembly of metal-phenolic network(MPN) nanofilm to form a stem cell microsphere capsule. Specifically, periodontal ligament stem cells(PDLSCs) spheroid was coated with FeⅢ/tannic acid coordination network to obtain spheroid@[FeⅢ-TA] microcapsules. The formed biodegradable MPN biointerface acted as a cytoprotective barrier and exhibited antioxidative, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities, effectively remodeling the inflammatory microenvironment and maintaining the stemness of PDLSCs. The stem cell microencapsulation proposed in this study can be applied to multiple stem cells with various functional metal ion/polyphenol coordination, providing a simple yet efficient delivery strategy for stem cell stemness maintenance in an inflammatory environment toward a better therapeutic outcome. | Yajun Zhao Yilin Shi Huiqi Yang Mengmeng Liu Lanbo Shen Shengben Zhang Yue Liu Jie Zhu Jing Lan Jianhua Li Shaohua Ge | 2022 | International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,4: | 0
