| 1 | Analyses on the climate change responses over China under SRES B2 scenario using PRECIS显示文摘The PRECIS,a regional climate model system developed at the UK Met Office Hadley Cen- tre for Climate Prediction and Research,which is nested in one-way mode within the HadAM3P,a higher-resolution version of the atmospheric com- ponent of the Hadley Centre climate model HadCM3,is employed to simulate the baseline (1961—1990) climate for evaluation of model’s capacity of simu- lating present climate and analyze the future climate change responses in the time-slice of 2071—2100 (2080s) under SRES B2 scenario over China relative to baseline average. It is indicated from the com- parison of the simulated baseline climate with in situ observation that PRECIS can simulate the local dis- tribution characteristics of surface air temperature over China quite well; generally speaking,the simu- lation for precipitation in the north of China and in winter is better than in the south of China and in summer,respectively; the simulation of precipitation in summer is sensitive to topography,and the simu- lated precipitation values are lower than observations over southeast coastal areas. It is shown from the analyses on the simulated climate change responses in 2080s under SRES B2 scenario relative to base- line that there would be an obvious surface air tem- perature increase in the north of China relative to that in the south of China,and especially in Northwest China and Northeast China,the amplitude ofsummer mean surface air temperature increments could reach 5℃; there would be an overall increase of the simulated precipitation in 2080s under SRES B2 scenario over most areas of China,while there would be significant precipitation decreases in South China in winter; there would be obvious precipitation decreases in Northeast China and North China in summer with high surface air temperature increase. | 2 | Effects of Rheum tanguticum polysaccharide on TNBS-induced colitis and CD4^+T cells in rats显示文摘AIM: To study the effects of Rheum tanguticum polysaccharide-1 (RTP-1) on ulcerative colitis in rats induced by 2, 4, 6-trinitrophene sulphonic acid (TNBS) and their possible mechanism.METHODS: RTP1 (200 mg@kg-1, ig) extracted from Rheum tanguticum Maxim. Ex Regel was administrated to rats with colitis induced by TNBS for 5 d, 7 d, 10 d and 14 d,respectively. The effects of RTP1 and dexamethasone (DX,0.2 mg@kg-1, ig) were contrastively investigated. The MPO level and SOD activity were determined by chromatometry.The expansion and protein expression of CD4+T lymphocytes isolated from colon mucosae and mesenteric lymph nodes of colitis rats were performed by immunohistochemical analysis and Western-blot methods.RESULTS: Treatments of RTP1 (200 mg@kg-1, ig) significantly reduced diarrhea, mortality, colon mass, ulcer areas and MPO level in colon mucosae on days 5, 7, 10 and 14 (5.2±1.4,5.4±0.7, 5.2±1.8, P<0.05.3.4±0.8, P<0.01. 16.1±12.1,P<0.01.31.8±8.6, 17.7±5.3, 12.7±4.1, P<0.05). | 3 | Northward-shift of temperature zones in China's eco-geographical study under future climate scenario显示文摘Despite the well-documented effects of global climate change on terrestrial species' ranges,eco-geographical regions as the regional scale of ecosystems have been poorly studied especially in China with diverse climate and ecosystems.Here we analyse the shift of temperature zones in eco-geographical study over China using projected future climate scenario.Projected climate data with high resolution during 1961-2080 were simulated using regional climate model of PRECIS.The number of days with mean daily temperature above 10℃ and the mean temperature of January are usually regarded as the principal criteria to indicate temperature zones,which are sensitive to climate change.Shifts due to future climate change were calculated by comparing the latitude of grid cells for the future borderline of one temperature zone with that for baseline period(1961-1990).Results indicated that the ranges of Tropical,Subtropical,Warm Temperate and Plateau Temperate Zones would be enlarged and the ranges of Cold Temperate,Temperate and Plateau Sub-cold Zones would be reduced.Cold Temperate Zone would probably disappear at late this century.North borderlines of temperature zones would shift northward under projected future climate change,especially in East China.Farthest shifts of the north boundaries of Plateau Temperate,Subtropical and Warm Temperate Zones would be 3.1°,5.3° and 6.6° latitude respectively.Moreover,northward shift would be more notably in northern China as future temperature increased. | WU Shaohong ZHENG Du YIN Yunhe LIN Erda XU Yinlong | 2010 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,5: | 16 |
| 4 | Projections of Wind Changes for 21st Century in China by Three Regional Climate Models显示文摘This paper examines the capability of three regional climate models (RCMs), i.e., RegCM3 (the International Centre for Theoretical Physics Regional Climate Model), PRECIS (Providing Regional Climates for Impacts Studies) and CMM5 (the fifth-generation Pennsylvania State University-the National Center for Atmospheric Research of USA, NCAR Mesoscale Model) to simulate the near-surface-layer winds (10 m above surface) all over China in the late 20th century. Results suggest that like global climate models (GCMs), these RCMs have the certain capability of imitating the distribution of mean wind speed and fail to simulate the greatly weakening wind trends for the past 50 years in the country. However, RCMs especially RegCM3 have the better capability than that of GCMs to simulate the distribution and change feature of mean wind speed. In view of their merits, these RCMs were used to project the variability of near-surface-layer winds over China for the 21st century. The results show that 1) summer mean wind speed for 2020-2029 will be lower compared to those in 1990-1999 in most area of China; 2) annual and winter mean wind speed for 2081-2100 will be lower than those of 1971-1990 in the whole China; and 3) the changes of summer mean wind speed for 2081-2100 are uncertain. | 5 | Ground pressure and overlying strata structure for a repeated mining face of residual coal after room and pillar mining显示文摘To investigate the abnormal ground pressures and roof control problem in fully mechanized repeated mining of residual coal after room and pillar mining,the roof fracture structural model and mechanical model were developed using numerical simulation and theoretical analysis.The roof fracture characteristics of a repeated mining face were revealed and the ground pressure law and roof supporting conditions of the repeated mining face were obtained.The results indicate that when the repeated mining face passes the residual pillars,the sudden instability causes fracturing in the main roof above the old goaf and forms an extra-large rock block above the mining face.A relatively stable ‘‘Voussoir beam' structure is formed after the advance fracturing of the main roof.When the repeated mining face passes the old goaf,as the large rock block revolves and touches gangue,the rock block will break secondarily under overburden rock loads.An example calculation was performed involving an integrated mine in Shanxi province,results showed that minimum working resistance values of support determined to be reasonable were respectively 11,412 kN and 10,743 kN when repeated mining face passed through residual pillar and goaf.On-site ground pressure monitoring results indicated that the mechanical model and support resistance calculation were reasonable. | Jiang Bangyou Wang Lianguo Lu Yinlong Sun Xiaokang Jin Gan | 2016 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,4: | 10 |
| 6 | Analysis of insidious fault activation and water inrush from the mining floor显示文摘Based on the stress field distribution rule of the mining floor under abutment pressure, we have established a simplified mechanical model, which contains multiple factors relating to activation and evolution of insidious water-conductive faults. The influence of normal and shear stresses on fault activation and effective shear stress distribution in the fault plane was acquired under mining conditions.Using fracture mechanics theory to calculate the stress intensity factor of an insidious fault front, we have derived the criterion for main fault activation. Results indicate that during the whole working face advance, transpressions are exerted on fault planes twice successively in opposite directions. In most cases, the second transpression is more likely to lead to fault activation. Activation is influenced by many factors, predominant among which are: burial depth of the insidious fault, friction angle of the fault plane, face advance direction and pore water pressure. | 7 | Inclusion of the Eastern Asia endemic genus Sorolepidium in Polystichum (Dryopteridaceae):Evidence from the chloroplast rbcL gene and morphological characteristics显示文摘The taxonomic status of the Eastern Asia endemic Sorolepidium is controversial. Some authors accept it as member of the large diverse genus Polystichum, whereas others suggest that it is an independent genus separated from the later by the exindusiate sorus and the absence of aristate teeth at the pinnae margins. Here we infer phylogenetic relationship of Sorolepidium using DNA sequences of the chloro-plast rbcL gene. Phylogenies were inferred using maximum-parsimony, maximum-likelihood, and Bayesian inference methods. Molecular data establish that Sorolepidium is deeply nested within the large genus Polystichum and has a close relationship with P. duthiei and P. lachenense in the model-based analyses. The Kimura 2-parameter distances of the rbcL sequences between S. glaciale and P. duthiei and P. lachenense were 0.1 and 0.2%, respectively. Furthermore, S. glaciale differed from P. duthiei by a single nucleotide in their rbcL sequences. | 8 | An experimental study of a yielding support for roadways constructed in deep broken soft rock under high stress显示文摘A rationally designed support for deep roadways excavated in broken soft rock under high stress was investigated. The deformation and failure characteristics and the mechanism of ''yielding support'' was studied for anchor bolts and cables. The rail roadway of the 2-501 working face in the Liyazhuang Mine of the Huozhou coal area located in Shanxi province was used for field trials. The geological conditions used there were used during the design phase. The new ''highly resistant, yielding'' support system has a core of high strength, yielding bolts and anchor cables. The field tests show that this support system adapts well to the deformation and pressure in the deep broken soft rock. The support system effectively controls damage to the roadway and ensures the long term stability of the wall rock and safe production in the coal mine. Field stress measurements in the main coal bed in the Lüliang mining area were made by the bore hole, stress relief method. From these data the ground stress distribution of the mining area was obtained. The relationship between the horizontal principal stress and the deformation and failure of a roadway is discussed with an engineering example. The results indicate that horizontal stress dominates in the shallow crust in the Lüliang mining area. Roadways at different angles to the maximum principal stress have different levels of stress concentration. This leads to a significant difference in stability of the corresponding roadways. | 16 | Bioinspired Multiscale Wrinkling Patterns on Curved Substrates:An Overview显示文摘The surface wrinkling of biological tissues is ubiquitous in nature.Accumulating evidence suggests that the mechanical force plays a significant role in shaping the biological morphologies.Controlled wrinkling has been demonstrated to be able to spontaneously form rich multiscale patterns,on either planar or curved surfaces.The surface wrinkling on planar substrates has been investigated thoroughly during the past decades.However,most wrinkling morphologies in nature are based on the curved biological surfaces and the research of controllable patterning on curved substrates still remains weak.The study of wrinkling on curved substrates is critical for understanding the biological growth,developing threedimensional(3D)or four-dimensional(4D)fabrication techniques,and creating novel topographic patterns.In this review,fundamental wrinkling mechanics and recent advances in both fabrications and applications of the wrinkling patterns on curved substrates are summarized.The mechanics behind the wrinkles is compared between the planar and the curved cases.Beyond the film thickness,modulus ratio,and mismatch strain,the substrate curvature is one more significant parameter controlling the surface wrinkling.Curved substrates can be both solid and hollow with various 3D geometries across multiple length scales.Up to date,the wrinkling morphologies on solid/hollow core-shell spheres and cylinders have been simulated and selectively produced.Emerging applications of the curved topographic patterns have been found in smart wetting surfaces,cell culture interfaces,healthcare materials,and actuators,which may accelerate the development of artificial organs,stimuli-responsive devices,and micro/nano fabrications with higher dimensions. | Yinlong Tan Biru Hu Jia Song Zengyong Chu Wenjian Wu | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,8: | 4 |
