1DBPM signal processing with field programmable gate arrays显示文摘DBPM system performance is determined by the design and implementation of beam position signal processing algorithm.In order to develop the system,a beam position signal processing algorithm is implemented on FPGA.The hardware is a PMC board ICS-1554A-002(GE Corp.)with FPGA chip XC5VSX95T.This paper adopts quadrature frequency mixing to down convert high frequency signal to base.Different from conventional method,the mixing is implemented by CORDIC algorithm.The algorithm theory and implementation details are discussed in this paper.As the board contains no front end gain controller,this paper introduces a published patent-pending technique that has been adopted to realize the function in digital logic.The whole design is implemented with VHDL language. 2Development of the bunch-by-bunch beam current acquisition system at SSRF显示文摘In this paper,we report the development of a bunch-by-bunch beam current acquisition system.Through a waveform-reconstruction algorithm,the system realizes high equivalent sampling rate with a relatively low inherent rate.Based on the EPICS environment,information communication with other systems can be achieved.Preliminary test results in commissioning the SSRF storage ring show that the system can reconstruct the beam waveform of single bunch,providing a convenient and reliable method for the top-up operation in the future.HUANG Siting LENG Yongbin YAN Yingbing 2009Nuclear Science and Techniques2009,20,2:4
3Study of algorithms of phase advance measurement between BPMs and its application in SSRF显示文摘As a third generation light source, Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) has up to 140 beam position monitors (BPM) installed to monitor the beam dynamics on its storage ring. Once the operation mode is chosen, the betatron functions are determined. Since the sinusoidal betatron oscillation is the dominant component of the transverse motion, these BPMs can be used to measure the motion to get the betatron functions. Three methods are compared to calculate the phase advance among the BPMs in this paper, aiming to find one or more feasible ways to check the beam optics in SSRF. 4A beam position measurement system of fully digital signal processing at SSRF显示文摘This fully digital beam position measurement instrument is designed for beam position monitoring and machine research in Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility. The signals received from four position-sensitive detectors are narrow pulses with a repetition rate up to 499.654 MHz and a pulse width of around 100 ps, and their dynamic range could vary over more than 40 dB in machine research. By the employment of the under-sampling technique based on high-speed high-resolution A/D conversion, all the processing procedure is performed fully by the digital signal processing algorithms integrated in one single Field Programmable Gate Array. 5Prognostic value of MET, cyclin D1 and MET gene copy number in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation of the expression of MET and cyclin D1 and MET gene copy number in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues and patient clinicopathologic characteristics and survival. Sixty-one NSCLC tissue specimens were included in the study. The expression of MET and cyclin D1 was evaluated by immunohistochemistry and MET gene copy number was assessed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (Q-PCR). Positive expression of MET and cyclin D1 protein and increased MET gene copy number occurred in 59.0%, 59.0% and 18.0% of 61 NSCLC tissues, respectively. MET-positivity correlated with poor differentiation (P=0.009). Increased MET gene copy number was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis (P=0.004) and advanced tumor stage (P=0.048), while the expression of cyclin D1 was not associated with any clinicopathologic parameters. There was a significant correlation between the expression of MET and MET gene copy number (P=0.002). Additionally, the expression of cyclin D1 had a significant association with the expression of MET as well as MET gene copy number (P=0.002 and P=0.017, respectively). MET-positivity and increased MET gene copy number were significantly associated with poor overall survival (P=0.003 and P<0.001, respectively) in univariate analysis. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard analysis confirmed that the expression of MET and MET gene copy number were prognostic indicators of NSCLC (P=0.003 and P=0.001, respectively). The overexpression of MET and the increased MET gene copy number might be adverse prognostic factors for NSCLC patients.
