1Identification of Flowering Regulatory Genes in Allopolyploid Brassica juncea显示文摘Brassica juncea is an allopolyploid originating from the interspecific hybridization between Brassica rapa and Brassica nigra, which is of multiple usage as a vegetable, oilseed and condiment worldwide. Both vernalization and non-vernalization under long-day photoperiod can promote floral transition in B. juncea suggesting merged flowering pathways of its ancestors and better environmental adaptability. We identified genomewide flowering regulatory genes in B. juncea, which include 84 and 79 genes from A and B sub-genomes, respectively. Ka/Ks analysis revealed a purification effect on both photoperiod and vernalization flowering regulation pathways during evolution. Expression profile of those genes during long-day and vernalization treatments suggested Bju ACO4, Bju AFT1, Bju BFT4, Bju ASOC1 and Bju ASOC4 may be the major functional copies of B. juncea flowering regulation. Further functional studies about Bju COs showed three days delayed flowering time in Bju ACO4 or Bju BCO3 silenced plants. Increased transcription of all BjuFLCs in Bju ACO4 or Bju BCO3 silenced plants suggested interactions between photoperiod and vernalization pathways governing flowering time. 2History,progress and future challenges of artificial blood vessels:a narrative review显示文摘Cardiovascular disease serves as the leading cause of death worldwide,with stenosis,occlusion,or severe dysfunction of blood vessels being its pathophysiological mechanism.Vascular replacement is the preferred surgical option for treating obstructed vascular structures.Due to the limited availability of healthy autologous vessels as well as the incidence of postoperative complications,there is an increasing demand for artificial blood vessels.From synthetic to natural,or a mixture of these components,numerous materials have been used to prepare artificial vascular grafts.Although synthetic grafts are more appropriate for use in medium to large-diameter vessels,they fail when replacing small-diameter vessels.Tissue-engineered vascular grafts are very likely to be an ideal alternative to autologous grafts in small-diameter vessels and are worthy of further investigation.However,a multitude of problems remain that must be resolved before they can be used in biomedical applications.Accordingly,this review attempts to describe these problems and provide a discussion of the generation of artificial blood vessels.In addition,we deliberate on current state-of-the-art technologies for creating artificial blood vessels,including advances in materials,fabrication techniques,various methods of surface modification,as well as preclinical and clinical applications.Furthermore,the evaluation of grafts both in vivo and in vitro,mechanical properties,challenges,and directions for further research are also discussed.Ke Hu Yuxuan Li Zunxiang Ke Hongjun Yang Chanjun Lu Yiqing Li Yi Guo Weici Wang 2022Biomaterials Translational2022,3,1:3

4Multi-functional vesicles improve Helicobacter pylori eradication by a comprehensive strategy based on complex pathological microenvironment显示文摘Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori),creating a global infection rate over 50%,presents great challenges in clinical therapies due to its complex pathological microenvironment in vivo.To improve the eradication efficacy,herein we fabricated a pharmaceutical vesicle RHL/Cl-Ch-cal where cholesterol-PEG,calcitriol and first-line antibiotic clarithromycin were co-loaded in the rhamnolipid-composed outer lipid layer.RHL/Cl-Ch-cal could quickly penetrate through gastric mucus layer to reach H.pylori infection sites,and then effectively destroyed the architecture of H.pylori biofilms,killed dispersed H.pylori and inhibited the re-adhesion of residual bacteria(called biofilms eradication tetralogy).Moreover,RHL/Cl-Ch-cal activated the host immune response to H.pylori by replenishing cholesterol to repair lipid raft on the cell membrane of host epithelial cells.Finally,RHL/Cl-Ch-cal killed the intracellular H.pylori through recovering the lysosomal acidification and assisting degradation.In experiments,RHL/Cl-Ch-cal demonstrated prominent anti-H.pylori efficacy in the classical H.pylori-infected mice model.Therefore,the study provides a“comprehensive attack”strategy for anti-H.pylori therapies including biofilms eradication tetralogy,immune activation and intracellular bacteria killing.Xiaonan Chen Yiqing Zou Shuqi Zhang Pengchao Fang Shuxuan Li Pengyu Li Yingying Sun Gang Yuan Haiyan Hu 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9:2

6OsWR2 recruits HDA704 to regulate the deacetylation of H4K8ac in the promoter of OsABI5 in response to drought stress显示文摘Drought stress is a major environmental factor that limits the growth, development, and yield of rice(Oryza sativa L.). Histone deacetylases(HDACs) are involved in the regulation of drought stress responses. HDA704 is an RPD3/HDA1 class HDAC that mediates the deacetylation of H4K8(lysine 8of histone H4) for drought tolerance in rice. In this study, we show that plants overexpressing HDA704(HDA704-OE) are resistant to drought stress and sensitive to abscisic acid(ABA), whereas HDA704 knockout mutant(hda704) plants displayed decreased drought tolerance and ABA sensitivity.Transcriptome analysis revealed that HDA704 regulates the expression of ABA-related genes in response to drought stress. Moreover, HDA704 was recruited by a drought-resistant transcription factor,WAX SYNTHESIS REGULATORY 2(Os WR2), and co-regulated the expression of the ABA biosynthesis genes NINE-CIS-EPOXYCAROTENOID DIOXYGENASE 3(NCED3), NCED4, and NCED5 under drought stress. HDA704 also repressed the expression of ABA-INSENSITIVE 5(Os ABI5) and DWARF AND SMALL SEED 1(Os DSS1) by regulating H4K8ac levels in the promoter regions in response to polyethylene glycol 6000 treatment. In agreement, the loss of Os ABI5 function increased resistance to dehydration stress in rice. 10Influence of cementite spheroidization on relieving the micro-galvanic effect of ferrite-pearlite steel in acidic chloride environment显示文摘The corrosion behavior of the as-received steel and the spheroidized steel in acidic chloride environment was investigated. The results indicate the corrosion mode and corrosion rate of two steels are diverse due to their difference in microstructure. For as-received steel with ferrite-pearlite microstructure, severe localized corrosion happens on the pearlite regions, and plenty of cathodic cementite remains in the pits, further strengthening the micro-galvanic effect and accelerating the corrosion rate. 11Migration and accumulation mechanisms and main controlling factors of tight oil enrichment in a continental lake basin显示文摘Based on the typical dissection of various onshore tight oil fields in China,the tight oil migration and accumulation mechanism and enrichment-controlling factors in continental lake basins are analyzed through nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)displacement physical simulation and Lattice Boltzmann numerical simulation by using the samples of source rock,reservoir rock and crude oil.In continental lake basins,the dynamic forces driving hydrocarbon generation and expulsion of high-quality source rocks are the foundational power that determines the charging efficiency and accumulation effect of tight oil,the oil migration resistance is a key element that influences the charging efficiency and accumulation effect of tight oil,and the coupling of charging force with pore-throat resistance in tight reservoir controls the tight oil accumulation and sweet spot enrichment.The degree of tight oil enrichment in continental lake basins is controlled by four factors:source rock,reservoir pore-throat size,anisotropy of reservoir structure,and fractures.The high-quality source rocks control the near-source distribution of tight oil,reservoir physical properties and pore-throat size are positively correlated with the degree of tight oil enrichment,the anisotropy of reservoir structure reveals that the parallel migration rate is the highest,and intralayer fractures can improve the migration and accumulation efficiency and the oil saturation.HU Suyun TAO Shizhen WANG Min PANG Zhenglian BAI Bin CHEN Yanyan LU Shuangfang CHEN Yue YANG Yiqing JIN Xu JIA Jinhua WANG Jian ZHANG Tianshu LIN Senhu WU Yinye 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,3:1

13Adaptive WiFi-offloading algorithm based on attractor selection in heterogeneous wireless networks显示文摘The unforeseen mobile data explosion poses a major challenge to the performance of today's cellular networks, and cellular networks are in urgent need of novel solutions to handle such voluminous mobile data. Obviously, data offloading through third-party Wi Fi access points(APs) can effectively alleviate the data load in the cellular networks with a low operational and capital expenditure. In this paper, we propose and analyze an adaptive Wi Fi-offloading algorithm based on attractor selection in heterogeneous wireless networks. In the proposed Wi Fi-offloading algorithm, the Wi Fi system throughput and cellular throughput in the coverage area of Wi Fi, are mapped into the activity of the attractor, which is the reflector of the current network environment. When the current attractor activity is low, the network is dominated by the noise. Then, the noise triggers the controller to select adaptive attractor, an optimal Wi Fi-offloading ratio φ, to adapt to the dynamic network environment. And users offload the specific portion of traffic to the Wi Fi networks with the ratio of φ, which improves the throughput of heterogeneous wireless networks and alleviates the load of cellular networks. 14The synergy between cementite spheroidization and Cu alloying on the corrosion resistance of ferrite-pearlite steel in acidic chloride solution显示文摘In this work,the corrosion behavior of medium-carbon steels(45,45 Cu and 45 Cuq steels)in acidic chloride environment was investigated.The results indicated that the micro-galvanic effect between the anodic ferrite matrix phase and the cathodic cementite secondary phase notably affected the corrosion resistance of the three steels.For 45 steel,serious pitting corrosion happened in and around the pearlite regions,and a large number of lamellar cementite was fixed in the corrosion pits.Meanwhile,the continuously increasing superficial area of cathodic cementite enhanced the micro-galvanic corrosion,resulting in a rapidly increase in corrosion rate with time.While for 45 Cu and 45 Cuq steels,macroscopic uniform corrosion occurred,and the cementite accumulation was markedly reduced as compared with 45 steel,thus the micro-galvanic effect was weakened and the corrosion rate was decreased accordingly.Among these,45 Cuq steel showed the most stable and excellent corrosion resistance during long-term corrosion,indicating the occurrence of a synergistic effect between cementite spheroidization and Cu alloying,thereby significantly improving the corrosion resistance of 45 steel.Hu Liu Jie Wei Junhua Dong Yangtao Zhou Yiqing Chen Yumin Wu Subedi Dhruba Babu Aniefiok Joseph Umoh Wei Ke 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,25:1

18Ambient Temperature and Years of Life Lost:A National Study in China显示文摘Although numerous studies have investigated premature deaths attributable to temperature,effects of temperature on years of life lost(YLL)remain unclear.We estimated the relationship between temperatures and YLL,and quantified the YLL per death caused by temperature in China.We collected daily meteorological and mortality data,and calculated the daily YLL values for 364 locations(2013–2017 in Yunnan,Guangdong,Hunan,Zhejiang,and Jilin provinces,and 2006–2011 in other locations)in China.A time-series design with a distributed lag nonlinear model was first employed to estimate the location-specific associations between temperature and YLL rates(YLL/100,000 population),and a multivariate meta-analysis model was used to pool location-specific associations.Then,YLL per death caused by temperatures was calculated.The temperature and YLL rates consistently showed U-shaped associations.A mean of 1.02(95%confidence interval:0.67,1.37)YLL per death was attributable to temperature.Cold temperature caused 0.98 YLL per death with most from moderate cold(0.84).The mean YLL per death was higher in those with cardiovascular diseases(1.14),males(1.15),younger age categories(1.31 in people aged 65–74 years),and in central China(1.34)than in those with respiratory diseases(0.47),females(0.87),older people(0.85 in people R75 years old),and northern China(0.64)or southern China(1.19).The mortality burden was modified by annual temperature and temperature variability,relative humidity,latitude,longitude,altitude,education attainment,and central heating use.Temperatures caused substantial YLL per death in China,which was modified by demographic and regional characteristics.Tao Liu Chunliang Zhou Haoming Zhang Biao Huang Yanjun Xu Lifeng Lin Lijun Wang Ruying Hu Zhulin Hou Yize Xiao Junhua Li Xiaojun Xu Donghui Jin Mingfang Qin Qinglong Zhao Weiwei Gong Peng Yin Yiqing Xu Jianxiong Hu Jianpeng Xiao Weilin Zeng Xing Li Siqi Chen Lingchuan Guo Zuhua Rong Yonghui Zhang Cunrui Huang Yaodong Du Yuming Guo Shannon Rutherford Min Yu Maigeng Zhou Wenjun Ma 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:1
19Time-Dependent Demographic Prediction Based on Time-Back-Propagation Method显示文摘In various applications like personalized search and recommendation, full demographic information is a precondition for many applications' well performance,but such ideal dataset rarely exists in practical scenarios.What's worse, absence of key characteristics(e.g., baby's age in maternal and infant commodity recommendation)makes these applications struggle. We design a novel solution to solve the problem of time-dependent demographic prediction. The key insight behind our approach is, we leverage a Time-back-propagation(TBP) method to take the internal time correlation of historical behaviours into consideration and collect all available data to train a classifier, which is a mapping from user's historical behaviours to the demographic information. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method through experiments of baby's age prediction. 20Transthoracic arterial bypass for the treatment of severe cerebral ischemia induced by brachiocephalic arteritis: A report of 15 cases显示文摘BACKGROUND:Carotid arterial reconstruction is hard to cure the extensive lesions of carotid arteries and subclavian arteries in patients with brachiocephalic arteritis;however,transthoracic arterial bypass surgery provides an opportunity for the treatment of brachiocephalic arteritis. OBJECTIVE:To report the improving effects of transthoracic arterial bypass surgery on the clinical symptoms of severe cerebral ischemia induced by brachiocephalic arteritis and observe the occurrence of complications after the intervention. DESIGN:Case observation. SETTING:Department of Vascular Surgery,Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology. PARTICIPANTS:Fifteen patients with Takayasu arteritis,including 1 male and 14 females,were selected from Department of Vascular Surgery,Wuhan Union Hospital from June 2003 to June 2007. Their ages ranged from 16 to 37 years. All patients were finally diagnosed by clinical histories,health examinations and color Doppler detection. All patients provided the confirmed consent. METHODS:All patients had received transthoracic artificial vascular bypass surgery. Among them,6 patients had the bridge from ascending aorta to bilateral axillary arteries to lateral internal carotid artery;3 from ascending aorta to bilateral axillary arteries;5 from ascending aorta to lateral axillary artery to lateral internal carotid artery;In particular,one patient combining with abdominal aorta occlusion had received two step surgical interventions. In the first step,bridging surgery was performed from ascending aorta to bilateral axillary arteries to lateral internal carotid artery;in the second step,patients received left axillofemoral bypass. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:① Detecting blood velocity in variously intracranial-arterial systoles by using transcranial Doppler postoperatively;② following-up the improve of clinical symptoms at 40 months after surgery;③ observing postoperative complications. RESULTS:All 15 patients were involved in the final analysis. ① Intracranial-arterial blood velocity:Average intracranial-arterial blood velocity was significantly increased postoperatively(P < 0.01). ② Following-up results of clinical symptoms:All patients did not have death and blindness;while,transient cerebral ischemia,dizzy,photophobia,giddiness,hemoptysis and other symptoms disappeared gradually;therefore,patients were able to live by themselves. ③ Postoperative complications:Among them,3 patients had injury of hypoglossal nerve and 3 patients had injury of recurrent laryngeal nerve. All recovered after 1-3 months conservative treatment. One patient with injury of brachial plexus nerve on one side relieved gradually after a half-year treatment. One patient had occlusion in subclavian arterial bridge on the third day after surgery and once more embolism after arterial embolectomy on the next day;however,the limb did not have obvious ischemic symptoms but low skin temperature as compared with the contralateral side.
