1Linking atmospheric pollution to cryospheric change in the Third Pole region: current progress and future prospects显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau and its surroundings are known as the Third Pole(TP). This region is noted for its high rates of glacier melt and the associated hydrological shifts that affect water supplies in Asia. Atmospheric pollutants contribute to climatic and cryospheric changes through their effects on solar radiation and the albedos of snow and ice surfaces; moreover, the behavior and fates within the cryosphere and environmental impacts of environmental pollutants are topics of increasing concern. In this review, we introduce a coordinated monitoring and research framework and network to link atmospheric pollution and cryospheric changes(APCC) within the TP region. We then provide an up-to-date summary of progress and achievements related to the APCC research framework, including aspects of atmospheric pollution’s composition and concentration, spatial and temporal variations, trans-boundary transport pathways and mechanisms, and effects on the warming of atmosphere and changing in Indian monsoon, as well as melting of glacier and snow cover. We highlight that exogenous air pollutants can enter into the TP’s environments and cause great impacts on regional climatic and environmental changes. At last, we propose future research priorities and map out an extended program at the global scale. 4Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil experimentally contaminated with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn together and effects on soil negative surface charge显示文摘Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil subsamples experimentally loaded with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in orthogonal design was investigated by sequential extraction, and operationally defined as water soluble and exchangeable(SE), weakly specific adsorbed(WSA), Fe and Mn oxides bound(OX) and organic bound(ORG). The results showed that fractions of heavy metals in the soil subsamples depended on their speciation. About 90% of Cd and 75% of Zn existed in soil subsamples in the SE fraction. Lead and Cu existed in soil subsamples as SE, WSA and OX fractions simultaneously, although SE was still the major fraction. Organic bound heavy metals were not clearly apparent in all the soil subsamples. The concentration of some heavy metal fractions in soil subsamples showed the good correlation with ionic impulsion of soil, especially for the SE fraction. Continuous saturation of soil subsamples with 0.20 mol/L NH 4Cl, which is the first step for determination of the negative surface charge of soil by the ion retention method, resulted in desorption of certain heavy metals from the soil. It was found that the percentage desorption of heavy metals from soil subsamples depended greatly on pH, the composition and original heavy metal content of the soil subsamples. However, most of the heavy metals in the soil subsamples were still be retained after multiple saturation. Compared with the parent soil, the negative surface charge of soil subsamples loaded with heavy metals did not show difference significantly from that of the parent one by statistical analysis. 63-year Treatment of Tenofovir Alafenamide vs.Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate for Chronic HBV Infection in China显示文摘Background and Aims:Tenofovir alafenamide(TAF)has similar efficacy to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF)but with improved renal and bone safety in chronic hepatitis B patients studied outside of China.We report 3-year results from two phase 3 studies with TAF in China(Clinicaltrials.gov:NCT02836249 and NCT02836236).Methods:Chinese hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)-positive and-negative chronic hepatitis B patients with viremia and elevated alanine aminotransferase were randomized 2:1 to TAF or TDF treatment groups and treated in a double-blind fashion for 144 weeks(3 years).Efficacy responses were assessed by individual study while safety was assessed by a pooled analysis.Results:Of the 334 patients(180 HBeAg-positive and 154 HBeAg-negative)randomized and treated,baseline characteristics were similar between groups.The overall mean age was 38 years and 73%were male.The mean HBV DNA was 6.4 log10 IU/mL.The median alanine aminotransferase was 88 U/L,and 37%had a history of antiviral use.At week 144,the proportion with HBV DNA<29 IU/mL was similar among the two groups,with TAF at 83%vs.TDF at 79%,and TAF at 93%vs.TDF at 92%for the HBeAg-positive and-negative patients,respectively.In each study,higher proportions of TAF than TDF patients showed normalized alanine aminotransferase(via the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the China criteria)and showed loss of HBsAg;meanwhile,the HBeAg seroconversion rates were similar.Treatment was well-tolerated among the TAF patients,who showed a smaller median decline in creatinine clearance(−0.4 vs.−3.2 mL/min;p=0.014)and less percentage change in bone mineral density vs.TDF at hip(−0.95%vs.−1.93%)and spine(+0.35%vs.−1.40%).Conclusions:In chronic hepatitis B patients from China,TAF treatment provided efficacy similar to TDF but with better renal and bone safety at 3 years.Jinlin Hou Qin Ning Zhongping Duan You Chen Qing Xie Fu-Sheng Wang Lunli Zhang Shanming Wu Hong Tang Jun Li Feng Lin Yongfeng Yang Guozhong Gong John FFlaherty Anuj Gaggar Shuyuan Mo Cong Cheng Gregory Camus Chengwei Chen Yan Huang Jidong Jia Mingxiang Zhang GS-US-320-0110 and GS-US-320-0108 China Investigators 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,3:7
7Two case reports and literature review for hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma: Pitfall of misdiagnosis显示文摘BACKGROUND Hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma(HEAML) is a rare liver disease and is easily misdiagnosed. Enhanced recognition of HEAML is beneficial to the differential diagnosis of rare liver diseases.CASE SUMMARY We presented two cases of HEAML in Changzheng Hospital, Naval Medical University, and then collected and analyzed all reports about HEAML recorded in PubMed, MEDLINE, China Science Periodical Database, and VIP database from January 2000 to March 2018. A total of 409 cases of HEAML in 97 reports were collected, with a ratio of men to women of 1:4.84 and an age range from 12 years to 80 years(median 44 years). Among the patients with clinical symptoms mentioned, 61.93%(205/331) were asymptomatic, 34.74%(115/331) showed upper or right upper quadrant abdomen discomfort, while a few of them showed abdominal mass, gastrointestinal symptoms, low fever, or weight loss. The misdiagnosis rate of HEAML was as high as 40.34%(165/409) due to its nonspecific imaging findings. Most of the tumors were solitary and round in morphology, with clear boundaries. Ultrasound scan indicated low echo with internal nonuniformity and rich blood supply in most cases. Computer tomography/magnetic resonance imaging enhanced scan showed varied characteristics. The ratio of fast wash-in and fast wash-out, fast wash-in and slow wash-out, and delayed enhancement was roughly 4:5:1. A definite diagnosis of HEAML depended on the pathological findings of the epithelioid cells in lesions and the expression of human melanoma black 45, smooth muscle actin,melanoma antigen, and actin by immunohistochemical staining. HEAML had a relatively low malignant rate of 3.91%. 9Partial oxidation of methane to syngas in tubular oxygen-permeable reactor显示文摘A dense Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ membrane tube was prepared by the extruding method. Furthermore, a membrane reactor with this tubular membrane was successfully applied to partial oxidation of methane (POM) reaction, in which the separation of oxygen from air and the partial oxidation of methane are integrated in one process. At 875°C, 94% of methane conversion, 98% of CO selectivity, 95% of H2 selectivity, and as high as 8.8 mL/(min·cm2) of oxygen flux were obtained. 10CFD-Based Optimization of Hot Primary-Air Pipe Networks in Power Plant Milling Systems显示文摘A hot primary-air pipe system is the bridge connecting an air-preheater with a coal mill in power generation stations.The effective geometrical configuration of the pipe network greatly affects the air flow distribution and consequently influences the safe and economic operation of milling systems in power stations.In order to improve the properties of the air flow,in the present work the SIMPLEC method is used to simulate numerically the flow field for the original layout of the system.As a result,the internal mechanisms influencing the uneven pressure drop in each branch are explored and three optimization schemes are proposed accordingly.The numerical results indicate that,for the original layout,the local pressure drop of the tee section accounts for approximately 74%of the total drop of the system,with other pressure drops depending on the specific branch considered.It is shown that after optimization,a roughly balanced flow resistance and flow rate can be obtained.Compared with the original layout,the pressure drop relating to different branches is significantly reduced.Qingyun Yan You Li Yuanhong Zhu Kui Cheng Xueli Huang Cong Qi Xuemin Ye 2020Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2020,16,3:4
11Sex Differences in Diagnosis and Clinical Phenotypes of Chinese Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder显示文摘The aim of this study was to explore the differences between boys and girls in the diagnosis and clinical phenotypes of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in China's mainland. Children diagnosed with ASD(n = 1064, 228 females) were retrospectively included in the analysis. All children were assessed using the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised(ADI-R) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule(ADOS). The results showed that girls scored significantly higher in ADI-R socioemotional reciprocity than boys, and also scored lower in ADI-R and ADOS restricted and repetitive behaviors(RRBs). Meanwhile, the proportions of girls who satisfied the diagnostic cut-off scores in the ADI-R RRBs domain were lower than in boys(P \ 0.05). Our results indicated that girls with ASD show greater socio-emotional reciprocity than boys. Girls also tended to show fewer RRBs than boys, and the type of RRBs in girls differ from those in boys. 12Effects of critical geometric parameters on the optical performance of a conical cavity receiver显示文摘The optical performance of a receiver has a great influence on the efficiency and stability of a solar thermal power system.Most of the literature focuses on the optical performance of receivers with different geometric shapes,but less research is conducted on the effects of critical geometric parameters.In this paper,the commercial software TracePro was used to investigate the effects of some factors on a conical cavity receiver,such as the conical angle,the number of loops of the helical tube,and the distance between the focal point of the collector and the aperture.These factors affect the optical efficiency,the maximum heat flux density,and the light distribution in the conical cavity.The optical performance of the conical receiver was studied and analyzed using the Monte Carlo ray tracing method.To make a reliable simulation,the helical tube was attached to the inner wall of the cavity in the proposed model.The results showed that the amount of light rays reaching the helical tube increases with the increasing of the conical angle,while the optical efficiency decreases and the maximum heat flux density increases.The increase in the number of loops contributed to an increase in the optical efficiency and a uniform light distribution.The conical cavity receiver had an optimal optical performance when the focal point of the collector was near the aperture.Hu XIAO Yanping ZHANG Cong YOU Chongzhe ZOU Quentin FALCOZ 2019Frontiers in Energy2019,13,4:3
13Visible-light stimulated synaptic plasticity in amorphous indium−gallium−zinc oxide enabled by monocrystalline double perovskite for high-performance neuromorphic applications显示文摘Photoelectric synaptic devices have been considered as one of the key components in artificial neuromorphic systems due to their excellent capability to emulate the functions of visual neurons,such as light perception and image processing.Herein,we demonstrate an optically-stimulated artificial synapse with a clear photoresponse from ultraviolet to visible light,which is established on a novel heterostructure consisting of monocrystalline Cs2AgBiBr6 perovskite and indium–gallium–zinc oxide(IGZO)thin film.As compared with pure IGZO,the heterostructure significantly enhances the photoresponse and corresponding synaptic plasticity of the devices,which originate from the superior visible absorption of single-crystal Cs2AgBiBr6 and effective interfacial charge transfer from Cs2AgBiBr6 to IGZO.A variety of synaptic behaviors are realized on the fabricated thin-film transistors,including excitatory postsynaptic current,paired pulse facilitation,short-term,and long-term plasticity.Furthermore,an artificial neural network is simulated based on the photonic potentiation and electrical depression effects of synaptic devices,and an accuracy rate up to 83.8%±1.2%for pattern recognition is achieved.This finding promises a simple and efficient way to construct photoelectric synaptic devices with tunable spectrum for future neuromorphic applications.Fu Huang Feier Fang Yue Zheng Qi You Henan Li Shaofan Fang Xiangna Cong Ke Jiang Ye Wang Cheng Han Wei Chen Yumeng Shi 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:2
14Perovskite-type B-site Bi-doped ceramic membranes for oxygen separation显示文摘Novel mixed conducting oxides, B-site Bi-doped perovskites were exploited and synthesized. Cubic perovskite structures were formed for BaBi0.2COyFe0.8-yO3-δ (y≤0.4) and BaBixCo0.2Fe0.8-xO3-δ (x=0.1 -0.5). The materials exhibited considerable high oxygen permeability at high temperature. The oxygen permeation flux of BaBi0.2Co0.35Fe0.45O3-δmembrane reached about0.77×106 mol/cm2 ·s under an air/helium oxygen partial pressure gradient at 900 ℃, which was much higher than that of other bismuth-contained mixed conducting membranes. The permeation fluxes of the materials increased with the increase of cobalt content, but no apparent simple relationship was found with the bismuth content. The materials also demonstrated excellent reversibility of oxygen adsorption and desorption. 17Semi-industrial experimental study on bauxite separation using a cell-column integration process显示文摘The cyclonic-static micro-bubble flotation column(FCSMC) is a highly efficient mineral processing equipment. In this study, a cell-column(FCSMC) integration process was investigated for the separation of bauxite and its feasibility was analyzed on a theoretical basis. The properties of low-grade bauxite ore from Henan Province, China were analyzed. Parameters such as reagent dosage, scraping bubble time, and pressure of the circulating pump during the sorting process were investigated and optimized to improve the flotation efficiency. On the basis of these parameters, continuous separation experiments were conducted. Bauxite concentrate with an aluminum-to-silicon(A/S) mass ratio of 6.37 and a 77.63wt% recovery rate were achieved via a flow sheet consisting of 'fast flotation using a flotation cell, one roughing flotation and one cleaning flotation using flotation columns'. Compared with the full-flotation-cells process, the cell?column integration process resulted in an increase of the A/S ratio by 0.41 and the recovery rate by 17.58wt%.
