1Variations in leaf characteristics of three species of angiosperms with changing of altitude in Qilian Mountains and their inland high-altitude pattern显示文摘In this study,39 leaf samples of three angiosperms(Betula albo-sinensis,tree species;and Caragana jubata and Berberis diaphana,shrub species) were collected in the middle-east parts at 2300–3640 m asl of the Qilian Mountains to study the variations of leaf characteristics of angiosperms with altitude change in inland high-altitude regions of China.Five leaf indexes,viz.epidermal cell density(ED),stomatal density(SD),stomatal index(SI),leaf vein density(VD) and carbon isotopic ratio(δ13C),were analyzed in laboratory.The results show that there are significant or even very significant linear correlations between the five indexes and altitude,of which SD,SI and VD exhibit a negative correlation with altitude,while ED and δ13C exhibit a positive correlation with altitude.Such a correlation assemblage is quite different from the situation in the low-altitude humid environment.Generally,only an assemblage of positive correlations can be observed between the indexes(viz.SD,SI and δ13C,etc.) and the altitude in the low-altitude humid environment,which were caused mainly by the plants' responses to the change of atmospheric CO2 concentration(Cα).However,an assemblage of the negative and positive correlations found here may be attributed mainly to the plants' responses to the change of physiological drought caused by change of low temperature,and here it is preliminarily called the inland high-altitude pattern of plant leaf variations.WANG XueFang LI RuiYun LI XiaoZe MA FuJun SUN BaiNian WU JingYu WANG YouKui 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4:8

5Ecological Environment Change in North Slope of Qilianshan Mountains显示文摘Based on meteorological,hydrological, forest,and grassland data collected by location observation,remote sensing,field surveys and relevant literature during 1956 to 2009,the ecological environment change in northern slope of the Qilianshan Mountains was analyzed synthetically using regression and correlation analyses.The results showed that the temperature had an annual variation rate of 0.033 4℃·a-1 in northern slope of the Qilianshan Mountains since 1960,and exhibited a raising trend,especially since 1987.The annual variation rate of annual precipitation was 0.570 2 mm·a-1,indicating that the precipitation tended to increase.The climate had changed from arid to humid in this region since 1976.From 1956 to 2006,the glacier area of six inland river basin(Shiyanghe river,Heihe river, Beidahe river,Shulehe river,Danghe river and Halternhe river) and Datonghe river basin in northern slope of Qilianshan mountains decreased by 17.7%. Thickness of the glacier reduced about 5-20 m,and the snow line rose about 100-140 m.The Glacier ice reserves in inland river basin of Hexi decreased by 11.4%.From 1972 to 2007,27 glaciers in the eastern section of the Qilianshan Mountains disappeared.From 1956 to 2009,the runoff change in the northern slope of the Qilianshan Mountains was different in different regions.The runoff was reduced significantly in Shiyanghe river basin, increased slightly in Heihe river basin,and increased obviously in Shulehe river basin.From 1958 to 1988, the area of deforestation and farming was more than 10.0 million ha,and the forest area was reduced 0.6 million ha.Since the Qilianshan Mountain Nature Reserve was established in 1989, the forest was restoring gradually because of continual protection and cultivating,and the forest area was increased 9.4 million ha from 1989 to 2008. Due to human interference,especially over-grazing impact,the quality of the wood-land,shrub-land and grass-land in northern slope of the Qilianshan Mountains were in a degraded condition,which resulted in serious harm of forest pests,decrease of shrubbery snow and water-retention capacity and exacerbation of soil erosion.The ecological environment in northern slope of the Qilianshan Mountains was improved in certain regions,but deteriorated in overall region,and the protection and management are needed to be strengthened.Wang Youkui Jia Wenxiong Liu Chaohai Chen Wen Zhao Chengzhang Wang Qiyou Wang Jie 2012Chinese Forestry Science and Technology2012,11,3:1
6Rehabilitative treatment for knee osteoarthritis in 28 hemiplegic patients after stroke显示文摘BACKGROUND:The pain of knee joint in the paralyzed leg of hemiplegic patients after stroke will affect the training of standing and walking,and delay the proceeding of rehabilitation. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effective method for relieving pain of knee osteoarthritis and improving the function of lower limbs in hemiplegic patients after stroke. DESIGN:A randomized controlled study. SETTING:Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine,Anhui Provincial Corps Hospital,Chinese People's Armed Police Forces. PARTICIPANTS:Twenty-eight hemiplegic patients after stroke with knee osteoarthritis were selected from the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine,Anhui Provincial Corps Hospital,Chinese People's Armed Police Forces from January 2003 to December 2006,including 11 males and 17 females,aged 47- 77 years,they all conformed to the diagnostic criteria of stroke set by the Fourth National Academic Meeting for Cerebrovascular Disease in 1995,as well as the diagnostic standards of knee osteoarthritis. Informed consents were obtained from all the patients and their relatives. METHODS:The 28 patients were randomly divided into treatment group(n =14) and control group(n =14). All patients had received facilitative technique training,such as normal motor pattern exercising and knee joint control exercising after hospitalization,besides,the patients in the treatment group received an extra complex therapy of electro-acupuncture therapy,physical therapy and exercise therapy,once a day,and 10 days as a course. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The evaluation and effectiveness of the visual analogue scale(VAS) and Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA) score of lower limbs function before and after therapy in the two groups. RESULTS:① VAS results:The score of pain evaluation in the treatment group after therapy was significantly lower than that in the control group(P < 0.01),and the effectiveness of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.01). ② FMA score of lower limbs motor function:There were no significant differences between the two groups before and after therapy(P > 0.05). CONCLUSION:The complex therapy of electro-acupuncture therapy,physical therapy,and exercise therapy based on facilitative technique training is effective in relieving pain of knee osteoarthritis in hemiplegic patients after stroke,but it is similar to the single rehabilitative training in improving the function of lower limbs.Youkui Lu Zongbao He 2007Neural Regeneration Research2007,2,11:0
7Caudal dorsal artery generates hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells via the endothelial-to-hematopoietic transition in zebrafish显示文摘Zebrafish hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells(HSPCs) originate from the hemogenic endothelium of the ventral wall of the dorsal aorta(DA) through the endothelial-to-hematopoietic transition(EHT) from approximately 30 to 60 hours post fertilization(hpf). However, whether other artery sites can generate HSPCs de novo remains unclear. In this study, using live imaging and lineage tracing, we found that the caudal dorsal artery(CDA) in the caudal hematopoietic tissue directly gave rise to HSPCs through EHT.This process initiated from approximately 60 hpf and terminated at approximately 156 hpf. Compared with that in the DA, fewer EHT events were observed in the CDA. The EHT events in the DA and CDA were similarly regulated by Runx1 but differentially influenced by blood flow(i.e., the EHT frequency in CDA was affected to a lesser extent when circulation was compromised in the tnnt2a^(-/-)mutant). Therefore,the whole artery, including both DA and CDA, was endowed with the ability to produce HSPCs during a much longer time period. Coincidently, the lineage tracing results indicated that adult hematopoietic cells originated from the embryonic endothelium, and those produced later preferentially colonized the adult thymus. 8Electron modulation by atomic Ir site decoration in porous Co/N co-doped carbon for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution显示文摘The rational design of materials at atomic scale as efficient and stable electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is critical for energy conversion.Herein,we report a novel hybrid nanostructure with iridium(Ir)and cobalt(Co)atomic pair configuration anchored in porous nitrogen-doped carbon(pNC)nanosheets(denoted as IrCo-pNC)for electrocatalytic HER.Experimental investigations and theoretical calculations reveal that the interaction between Ir and Co species in pNC promotes electron accumulation and depletion around isolated Ir and Co atoms,respectively,resulting in a local asymmetry electron density distribution.Density functional theory calculations also suggest that the electrons transfer from Co to adjacent Ir atom causing the down shift of the d-band center of Ir 5d in IrCo-pNC catalyst,thus optimizing the adsorption of hydrogen on Ir sites.The as-prepared IrCo-pNC exhibits significant HER performance with an overpotential of 21 mV to achieve a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)in 0.5 M H2SO4.This work provides insight into the role of asymmetry electron density distribution in nanomaterials in regulating HER electrocatalysis.Youkui Zhang Zitong Yan Yeli Gao Yaqin Fu Wenhao Li Yunxiang Lin Chuanqiang Wu Yujuan Pu Tao Duan Li Song 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
9NUV-pumped luminescence of thermally stable samarium-activated alkali metal borophosphate phosphor显示文摘Exploring outstanding rare-earth activated inorganic phosphors with good thermostability has always been a research focus for high-power white light-emitting diodes(LEDs).In this study,we report a Sm^(3+)-activated KNa_(4)B_(2)P_(3)O_(13)(KNBP)powder phase.Its particle morphology,photoluminescence properties,concentration quenching mechanism,thermal quenching mechanism,and chromatic properties are demonstrated.Upon the near-ultraviolet(NUV)irradiation of 402 nm,the powder phase exhibits orange-red visible luminescence performance,originating from typical ^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(J/2)(J=5,7,9)transitions of Sm^(3+).Importantly,the photoluminescence performance has good thermostability,low correlated color temperature(CCT),and high color purity(CP),indicating its promising application in the NUV-pumped warm white LEDs.Zhenyu FANG Dan YANG Youkui ZHENG Jialiang SONG Tongsheng YANG Ruitong SONG Yuefei XIANG Jing ZHU 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,5:0
