| 3 | Dynamic modelling and analysis of space webs显示文摘Future space missions demand operations on large flexible structures,for example,space webs,the lightweight cable nets deployable in space,which can serve as platforms for very large structures or be used to capture orbital objects.The interest in research on space webs is likely to increase in the future with the development of promising applications such as Furoshiki sat-ellite of JAXA,Robotic Geostationary Orbit Restorer (ROGER) of ESA and Grapple,Retrieve And Secure Payload (GRASP) of NASA.Unlike high-tensioned nets in civil engineering,space webs may be low-tensioned or tensionless,and extremely flexible,owing to the microgravity in the orbit and the lack of support components,which may cause computational difficulties.Mathematical models are necessary in the analysis of space webs,especially in the conceptual design and evaluation for prototypes.A full three-dimensional finite element (FE) model was developed in this work.Trivial truss elements were adopted to reduce the computational complexity.Considering cable is a compression-free material and its tensile stiffness is also variable,we introduced the cable material constitutive relationship to work out an accurate and feasible model for prototype analysis and design.In the static analysis,the stress distribution and global deformation of the webs were discussed to get access to the knowledge of strength of webs with different types of meshes.In the dynamic analysis,special attention was paid to the impact problem.The max stress and global deformation were investigated.The simulation results indicate the interesting phenomenon which may be worth further research. | YU Yang BAOYIN HeXi LI JunFeng | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,4: | 11 |
| 4 | Evidences of rapid erosion driven by climate in the Yarlung Zangbo (Tsangpo) Great Canyon,the eastern Himalayan syntaxis显示文摘Climate and tectonism are both particularly intense in the Yarlung Zangbo (Tsangpo) Great Canyon in the eastern Himalayan syntaxis,which is characterized by the most rapid landscape evolution of anywhere in the world.Thus,the eastern Himalayan syntaxis is one of the best locations to study the interactions between climate and tectonics.This paper investigates the cooling ages of the Doxong La-Baibung profile using apatite fission track (AFT) dating on 11 bedrock samples at elevations ranging from 4210 to 710 m.There are topographic,climatic,metamorphic,and thermochronological gradients in the profile,providing good conditions to study interactions between climate and tectonics.AFT ages ranged from 4.6±0.6 Ma to 1.7±0.3 Ma,and the mean fission track lengths ranged from 11.0 to 12.4 μm.It was found that the cooling rates revealed by AFT ages increased with decreasing elevation.However,the tendency of the cooling rates revealed by the 40 Ar-39 Ar ages was different from that indicated by the AFT ages.Moreover,for most districts of the eastern Himalayan syntaxis,the compiled AFT age distribution correlates well with the annual average precipitation,indicating the coupling of the cooling and erosion rates of the near-surface rock and precipitation.The geothermal history modeling results indicate an obvious increase in the cooling and erosion rate between 1.0 and 0.5 Ma.This age is consistent with other research findings for this time,when the vapor channel of the Yarlung Zangbo Great Canyon began to take effect.These evidences suggest that climate,especially precipitation,has acting as a key factor influencing the rapid cooling and erosion in the Yarlung Zangbo Great Canyon since 1-0.5 Ma. | YU XiangJiang JI JianQing GONG JunFeng SUN DongXia QING JianChun WANG LiNing ZHONG DaLai ZHANG ZhiCheng | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,11: | 11 |

The DNA binding behaviors of two complexes have been studied by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that complex 1 binds to CT-DNA via an electrostatic mode, while complex 2 via an intercalative mode. Under irradiation at 365 nm, both complexes were found to promote the cleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA from supercoiled form Ⅰ to nicked form Ⅱ. | 10 | Post-fledging dispersal and habitat use of a reintroduced population of the Crested Ibis (Nipponia nippon)显示文摘Background: Knowledge of dispersal movement of birds and their habitat preference during the post-fledging period is fundamental to the understanding of their ecological and evolutionary processes. The Crested Ibis is now being reintroduced to protected sites within its historical range, with the goal of establishing a self-sustaining population that may eventually qualify the species for delisting.Methods: We carried out an ecological study of post-fledging dispersal and habitat use of a reintroduced population of the Crested Ibis(Nipponia nippon) from 2008 to 2012 in Ningshan County, China, by using banding and radio-telemetry methods.Results: In about two weeks(an average of 14.3 days) after fledging, the activities of the fledglings were concentrated in a range of about 100 m around their natal sites, such as the oak-pine forest patches at the edge of open habitats.During this period, fledglings were still partially dependent upon parental care and fed typically on a daily basis.Siblings increasingly became independent by mid-August and then gradually moved away from their natal sites to post-fledging dispersal locations. During the period of the post-fledging dispersal process, most juveniles moving southwest were concentrated at the mean direction(μ = 254.6°, ? = 70.5°) with a mean dispersal distance of 5.1 km.It took an average of 56.4 days to disperse from the natal territory to the first wintering area. Also, forging habitats for juvenile ibis varied with time and local conditions. For example, paddy fields were used most frequently among all habitat types, while shallow rivers just from August to October. Masson pine(Pinus massoniana) was often regarded as the roosting tree species preferred by the Crested Ibis, with the highest utilization rate among all the roosting habitat types. The juveniles of the wild population dispersed four times as far as that of the reintroduced population, but the overall pattern of post-fledging dispersal is similar for the reintroduced and wild populations.Conclusions: Our results are very useful for us to predict the distance and direction of dispersal under various landscape conditions in other released sites. | 13 | In tegrative iTRAQ-based proteomic and transcriptomic analysis reveals the accumulation patter ns of key metabolites associated with oil quality during seed ripening of Camellia oleifera显示文摘Camellia oleifera(C.oleifera)is one of the four major woody oil-bearing crops in the world and has relatively high ecological,economic,and medicinal value.Its seeds undergo a series of complex physiological and biochemical changes during ripening,which is mainly manifested as the accumulation and transformation of certain metabolites closely related to oil quality,especially flavonoids and fatty acids.To obtain new insights into the underlying molecular mechanisms,a parallel analysis of the transcriptome and proteome profiles of C.oleifera seeds at different maturity levels was conducted using RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)and isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification(iTRAQ)complemented with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)data.A total of 16,530 transcripts and 1228 proteins were recognized with significant differential abundances in pairwise comparisons of samples at various developmental stages.Among these,317 were coexpressed with a poor correlation,and most were involved in metabolic processes,including fatty acid metabolism,a-linolenic acid metabolism,and glutathione metabolism.In addition,the content of total flavonoids decreased gradually with seed maturity,and the levels of fatty acids generally peaked at the fat accumulation stage;these results basically agreed with the regulation patterns of genes or proteins in the corresponding pathways.The expression levels of proteins annotated as upstream candidates of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)and chalcone synthase(CHS)as well as their cognate transcripts were positively correlated with the variation in the flavonoid content,while shikimate O-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase(HCT)-(encoding genes had the opposite pattern.The increase in the abundance of proteins and mRNAs corresponding to alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH)was associated with a reduction in linoleic acid synthesis.Using weighted gene coexpression network analysis(WGCNA),we further identi fied six unique modules related to flavonoid,oil,and fatty acid anabolism that contained hub genes or proteins similar to transcription factors(TFs),such as MADS intervening keratin-like and C-terminal(MIKC_MAD s),type-B authentic response regulator(ARR-B),and basic helix-loop-helix(bH〔H).Finally,based on the known metabolic pathways and WGCNA combined with the correlation analysis,fi ve coexpressed transcripts and proteins composed of cinnamyl-alcohol dehyd rogenases(CADs),caffeicacid 3-O-methyltransferase(COMT),fl avonol synthase(FLS),and 4-coumarate:CoA ligaas(4CL)were screened out.With this exploratory multiomics dataset,our results presented a dynamic picture regarding the maturation process of C.oleifera seeds on Hainan Island,not only revealing the temporal specific expression of key candidate genes and proteins but also providing a scientific basis for the genetic improvement of this tree species. | Zhouchen Ye Jing Yu Wuping Yan Junfeng Zhang Dongmei Yang Guanglong Yao Zijin Liu Yougen Wu Xilin Hou | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 3 |

The gravitational potential of elongated bodies is described by a unified approximate model, i.e., the rotating mass dipole which is two point masses connected with a constant massless rod The energy power is used to illustrate the flyby effect in terms of the instantaneous orbital energy. The essential of the single flyby trajectory is studied analytically, and the relationship between the flyby trajectory and its Jacobi integral is also illustrated. Sample trajectories are given to show the variational trend of the energy increment with respect to differen orbital periapsides. | 15 | Role of Eclipta prostrata extract in improving spatial learning and memory deficits in D-galactose-induced aging in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the role of Eclipta prostrata (E. prostrata) extract in improving spatial learning and memory deficits in D-galactose-induced aging in rats. METHODS: Rats were divided into five groups, with 10 animals in each group. Aging rats were produced by treatment with 100 mg·kg-1·d-1 of D-galactose for 6 weeks. Rats in the E. prostrata treatment groups received an aqueous extract of E. prostrata orally at a concentration of 50, 100, or 200 mg·kg-1· d-1 for 3 weeks. Animals in both the normal and model groups were treated with similar volumes of saline. Spatial memory performance was measured using the Morris water maze. The mRNA levels and enzyme activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione reductase (GR) were analyzed using real- time quantitative PCR and spectrophotometry,respectively. The levels of induced nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), nitric oxide (NO), dopamine (DA), norepinephrine (NE), and serotonin (5-HT) were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and spectrophotometry. RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, rats in the D-galactose-treated model group exhibited significant memory loss. There was severe damage to the hippocampal CA1 area, and expression levels of SOD, CAT, GPx, and GR were significantly decreased in the model group compared with the normal group. In the model group, levels of iNOS and NO were significantly increased compared with the normal group. However, treatment with E. prostrata extract reversed the conditions caused by D-galactose- induced aging, especially in the groups with higher treatment concentrations. Compared with the normal group, the levels of DA, NE, and 5-HT were significantly lower in the D-galactose-treated model group. In the E. prostrata extract-treated groups, however, there was a dose-dependent upregulation of DA, NE, and 5-HT expression. CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that administration of E. prostrata extract can result in an improvement in the learning and memory impairments that are induced by D-galactose treatment in rats. | 16 | Heterogeneous oxidation of carbonyl sulfide on mineral oxides显示文摘Heterogeneous oxidation of carbonyl sulfide (OCS) on mineral oxides including SiO2,Fe2O3,CaO,MgO,ZnO and TiO2,which are the main components of atmospheric particles,were investigated using in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (in situ DRIFTS),ion chromatography (IC),temperature-programmed desorption (TPD),X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) methods. The main products and intermediates of the heterogeneous oxidation of OCS on these oxides were identified with in situ DRIFTS and IC. The reaction mechanism and kinetics were also discussed. It is found that the reaction mechanism on these mineral oxides is the same as that on Al2O3 for the same final products and the intermediates at room temperature. Namely,OCS can be catalytically oxidized to produce surface SO42- species and gaseous CO2 through the surface hydrogen thiocarbonate (HSCO2-) and HSO3- species. | 17 | Genetic causes of oil-rich and oil-poor reservoirs: Implications from two Cenozoic basins in the eastern North China Craton显示文摘The Bohai Bay and Hehuai(southern North China) rift basins in the eastern part of the North China Craton are southnorth-adjacent. They have shown synchronous evolutionary processes, and possess generally identical superficial and shallow structural characteristics as well as similar basin areas. However, there is a large difference in the richness of oil resources between the two basins. The Bohai Bay Basin has extremely abundant oil reserves, while commercial oil reserves have not been found in the Hehuai Basin. The deep tectonic structures, magmatic activities, and modern and paleo-geothermal fields of the two basins are significantly different. Compared with the Hehuai Basin, the Bohai Bay Basin has a thinner crust and more complex structure with multiple low-velocity layers. It is also characterized by intense magmatic activity, high modern and paleogeothermal fields, frequent seismic activity, and active deep interactions, small effective elastic thickness of the isotropic lithosphere, and shorter balanced transformation wavelength of the lithosphere with a high likelihood of local compensation. The Hehuai Basin has a simple deep structure and homogeneous crustal composition, with a high likelihood of regional compensation. The characteristics of the deep structures mentioned above are generally similar to those of the southern part of the stable Ordos Basin, except for the smaller crust thickness. This indicates the presence of differences in Mesozoic destruction between the southern and northern zones in the eastern part of the North China Craton. The northern zone was subjected to significant destruction, while the southern zone was subjected to modifications, primarily in the form of local changes in the structures and/or properties of the crust or lithospheric mantle, with the overall structure and stability of the craton kept intact. The formation of high-quality source rock is primarily influenced by the abnormal flourishment of organisms in water bodies during the syndepositional period, and is also strongly associated with the high geothermal setting of basins and nutrients from hydrothermal solutions and volcanoes. In other words, it is mainly controlled by deep processes and deep-major fault activity. The differences in the deep structures and modern and paleo geothermal fields of the two basins correspond to the difference in richness of oil resources, suggesting that there is an important internal or causal relationship between the two aspects. This viewpoint coincides with the conditions and environments required for the development of high-quality source rock in hydrocarbon-rich basins(sags)in China and other countries, and is evidenced by the modern lake basin of the East African Rift. | 19 | Characteristics of bleaching of sandstone in northeast of Ordos Basin and its relationship with natural gas leakage显示文摘Bleaching of sandstone has significant applications to tracing hydrocarbon pathways and evaluating the scale of natural gas seepage. Bleaching of sandstones in the northeast of Ordos Basin is mainly distributed in the Mesozoic Yan'an Formation. Studying on petrology, major elements, REEs and trace elements of bleached sandstones and comparing with adjacent sandstones, combining with geologic-geochemical evidences of gas seepage in the northeast of the basin, the bleached sandstones are formed in the acid environment and reducing fluids. Characteristics of petrology show that the contents of kaolinite are high and the color of margin of ferric oxide minerals is lighter than that of the center. Major elements of sandstone samples show high contents of Al2O3 and low ratio of Fe3+/Fe2+. The TFe2O3 content of the bleached sandstone is lower than that of red rock. REE data show that bleached sandstones have low ∑REE contents and Eu-depleted and slightly Ce-enriched. Trace elements show that the bleached sandstones enrich in Co, deplete in Sr, and slightly enrich in Zr and Hf which are close to the values for the green alteration sandstones, and slightly lower than ore-bearing sandstones. Geochemical characteristics of oil-bearing sandstone in the northern basin suggest that the oil-shows are formed by matured Carboniferous-Permian coal bed methane escaping to the surface, and natural gas in field could migrate to the north margin of the basin. The δ13C (PDB) andδ18O(PDB) values of calcite cement in the study area range from -11.729‰ to -10.210‰ and -14.104‰ to -12.481‰, respectively. Theδ13C (PDB) values less than -10‰ imply the carbon sources part from organic carbon.
