| 1 | SUSTAINABLE SUGARCANE CROPPING IN CHINA显示文摘Demand for sugar is projected to grow in China for the foreseeable future.However,sugarcane production is unlikely to increase due to increasing production cost and decreasing profit margin.The persisting sugarcane yield plateau and the current cropping system with fertilizer overuse,soil acidification and pests and diseases remain the major productivity constraints.Sugarcane agriculture supports the livelihood of about 28 million farmers in South China;hence,sustaining it is a socioeconomic imperative.More compellingly,to meet the ever-increasing Chinese market demand,annual sugar production must be increased from the current 10 Mt to 16 Mt by 2030 of which 80% to 90% comes from sugarcane.Therefore,increasing sugar yield and crop productivity in an environmentally sustainable way must be a priority.This review examines the current Chinese sugarcane production system and discuss options for its transition to a green,sustainable cropping system,which is vital for the long-term viability of the industry.This analysis shows that reducing chemical inputs,preventing soil degradation,improving soil health,managing water deficit,provision of clean planting material,and consolidation of small farm holdings are critical requirements to transform the current farming practices into an economically and environmentally sustainable sugarcane cropping system. | Ting LUO Prakash LAKSHMANAN Zhongfeng ZHOU Yuchi DENG Yan DENG Linsheng YANG Dongliang HUANG Xiupeng SONG Xihui LIU Wen-Feng CONG Jianming WU Xinping CHEN Fusuo ZHANG | 2022 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2022,9,2: | 1 |
| 2 | High performance lithium-sulfur batteries by facilely coating a conductive carbon nanotube or graphene layer显示文摘Lithium sulfur(Li-S) batteries are regarded as promising candidates for next-generation rechargeable batteries. However, the insulation characteristic of sulfur and severe polysulfide dissolution hindered their development. We presented a facile approach to fabricate Li-S batteries by coating commercial carbon nanotube or graphene slurries on normal sulfur cathode electrode to construct a dual-layer cathode electrode. The conductive CNT or graphene layer could not only improve the conductivity of sulfur cathode, but also suppress the polysulfide diffusion. The CNT@S cathode delivered a high reversible capacity of 740 mAh/g over 300 cycles at 1 C and 870 mAh/g over 100 cycles at 0.2 C. | 3 | An Investigation Report on Production Conditions of Sugarcane in Guangxi in 2016显示文摘To predict and assess production conditions of sugarcane in Guangxi in 2016,by using methods of field survey and data collection,the seedling situation,breed structure,planting area,planting period,plant diseases and insect pests of sugarcane in six major sugarcane producing cities of Guangxi were surveyed. The results show that the overall situation of sugarcane seedlings in Guangxi in 2016 became slightly worse than that in 2015,but there were enough good sugarcane seedlings in 2016. The dead heart rate of sugarcane decreased in most sugarcane regions from 2015 to 2016,that is,the comprehensive control of borers gave initial results; the smut infection rate of sugarcane rose from 2015 to 2016 and tended to increase. The situation of decrease in the planting area of sugarcane in three consecutive years was controlled,and the planting area of sugarcane increased slightly from 2015 to 2016. Due to the construction of ' double high' bases,the breed variety of sugarcane in Guangxi was improved further in 2016. | 4 | Enhanced photodetector performance of black phosphorus by interfacing with chiral perovskite显示文摘Heterogeneous stackings of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors and halide perovskites have attracted much attention owing to their respective superior optoelectronic properties.Black phosphorus(BP),as a unique 2D member with narrow bandgap,high mobility,and strong anisotropy,has never been combined with 2D layered perovskites.Herein,we construct a new BP-based van der Waals heterostructure combing with 2D chiral hybrid perovskite(i.e.,(MBA)_(2)PbI_(4))for promoting the performance and enriching the functionalities of BP.A series of BP characteristics,including carrier mobility,photoresponsivity,and polarization sensitivity,are synergistically enhanced when interfacing with(MBA)_(2)PbI_(4).For instance,the photodetector responsivity and photogain of BP in heterostructures are boosted by almost one order of magnitude with respect to BP alone,which is more obvious under excitation above the bandgap of perovskite.This is because the interfacing perovskite provides an inflow of numerous photogenerated carriers to BP,to reinforce the charge carrier transfer,separation,and transport processes.Additionally,the ability of both linearly and circularly polarized photodetection can be integrated into the BP/(MBA)_(2)PbI_(4)heterostructure.Our work sheds new insight on the heterostructure assembly for promising optoelectronic applications within 2D materials and perovskite families. | Yang Cao Congzhou Li Jie Deng Tong Tong Yuchi Qian Guixiang Zhan Xu Zhang Kaiyue HeHuifang Ma Junran Zhang Jing Zhou Lin Wang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 0 |
| 5 | A Survey Report on Sugarcane Production in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2013显示文摘In order to fully understand sugarcane production in Guangxi in 2013,the sample survey combined with data collection and field survey was carried out in sugarcane production areas in Nanning,Hechi,Liuzhou,Chongzuo,Baise and Laibin from May 28 to June 36 in2013. It was found that the sugarcane growing area in Guangxi in 2013 declined compared with that in 2012; the rate of emergence remained the same as previous year,and as for the plant number of plant crop and ratoon crop per hectare,there was a decline of 4000 and 2000 seedlings respectively compared with the figure in 2012; borer damage rate declined on the whole while the incidence of sugarcane smut increased.Due to the growth in the cost of planting,the growers were less enthusiastic for management. | 6 | Comprehensive Evaluation of Main Traits of Sugarcane Germplasm Resources with High Sucrose Content显示文摘To evaluate main traits of sugarcane germplasm resources with high sucrose content and provide theoretical foundation for parental selection of sugarcane breeding,taking ROC22 as the control,the one-year plant and ratoon were planted in the field experiment with the collected 42 samples,and evaluation and survey were carried out on the agronomic traits.The results indicated that the effective stems of 35strains including GT07-104,GT08-743,and GT04-1029 were higher than that of ROC22,reaching the significant difference and reached extremely significant difference with GT08-1533.The average Brix of new ratoon of GT02-901,GT07-110 and GT09-53 was the highest in October,close to 21.89%,21.40%and 21.24%respectively,which was 17.3%higher than that of the control R22.The Brix weight of 39 samples including GT04-1001,GT08-898 and GT04-1029 was higher than that of the control group,but the Brix weight of GT02-901,GT08-221,GT07-548 and GT02-237 was lower.In conclusion,in 42 sugarcane germplasm samples with high sucrose,GT07-104,GT04-1029,GT04-1001,GT07-110,GT07-135,GT08-743 and GT07-5A have more effective stems,stronger ratoon ability,and excellent comprehensive earlymaturing traits.In view of characteristics of these samples,these germplasm resources can be used as parental crossing and combination ratio,to select target sugarcane varieties. | Hairong HUANG Lin XU Lunwang WANG Hui ZHOU Xiang LI Yuchi DENG Yan JING Shiyun TANG Fang TAN Wu XIAN | 2018 | Asian Agricultural Research2018,10,1: | 0 |
| 7 | Diagnosis of indirectly driven double shell targets with point-projection hard x-ray radiography显示文摘We present an application of short-pulse laser-generated hard x rays for the diagnosis of indirectly driven double shell targets. Coneinserted double shell targets were imploded through an indirect drive approach on the upgraded SG-II laser facility. Then, based on thepoint-projection hard x-ray radiography technique, time-resolved radiography of the double shell targets, including that of their near-peakcompression, were obtained. The backlighter source was created by the interactions of a high-intensity short pulsed laser with a metalmicrowire target. Images of the target near peak compression were obtained with an Au microwire. In addition, radiation hydrodynamicsimulations were performed, and the target evolution obtained agrees well with the experimental results. | 9 | Breeding and Evaluation of a New Sugarcane Variety,Guitang 46显示文摘Guitang 46 is an excellent sugarcane variety bred by the Sugarcane Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences under the ' FiveNursery' breeding program through regional trials and production experiments,which exhibits high yield,stable yield,and various excellent characters such as medium maturing,high sucrose content,good ratoon ability,more effective stems,uniform growth and strong resistance to smut. Moreover,Guitang 46 has strong lodging resistance and good defoliation ability,which is suitable for both mechanical management and harvesting,and manual operations. Therefore,Guitang 46 is a new variety with high promotion potential. In June 2015,Guitang 46 was approved by Guangxi Crop Variety Approval Committee[GSZ2015001]. | 10 | Effect and Analysis of Mechanized Production on Ratooning Ability of Guitang 47显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to explore the effect of machine harvesting on ratooning ability of Guitang 47, and to provide basis for mechanized production of Guitang 47. [Methods] On the basis of mechanized planting and management of newly planted sugarcane Guitang 47, a comparative test of machine harvesting and manual harvesting was conducted, during which the plant generation rate, sugarcane yield, sucrose content and related agronomic traits of ratoon cane were continuously investigated in two years after machine harvesting of the newly planted sugarcane. [Results] There were no significant differences in the plant generation rate, plant height, stalk diameter, millable cane, sugarcane yield and sucrose content from manual harvesting of Guitang 47 in the first and second years after machine harvesting. In the second year after machine harvesting, the yields of ratoon cane and the sugar content reached 101.70 and 15.32 t/hm^2, respectively, which were equivalent to those of manual harvesting. [Conclusions] Guitang 47 has strong ratooning ability and lodging resistance and strong resistance to rolling and crushing, and is adaptive to full mechanized production.
