2Influences of Seasonal Freezing and Thawing on Soil Water-stable Aggregates in Orchard in High Cold Region,Northeast China显示文摘Soil aggregate stability,as an important indicator of soil functions,may be affected by seasonal freezing and thawing(SFT)and land use in high cold and wet regions.Therefore,comprehensive understanding the effects of SFT on aggregate stability in orchards during winter and spring is crucial to develop appropriate management strategies that can effectively alleviate the degradation of soil quality to ensure sustainable development of orchard ecosystems.To determine the mechanism of degradation in orchard soil quality,the effects of SFT on the stability of water-stable aggregates were examined in apple-pear orchards(Pyrus ussuriensis var.ovoidea)of four different ages(11,25,40,and 63 yr)on 0 to 5%slopes before freezing and after thawing from October 2015 to June 2016 in Longjing City,Yanbian Prefecture,Northeast China,involving a comparison of planted versus adjacent uncultivated lands(control).Soil samples were collected to investigate water-stable aggregate stability in three incremental soil layers(0–20,20–40 and 40–60 cm).In the same samples,iron oxide,organic matter,and clay contents of the soil were also determined.Results showed that the destructive influences of SFT on water-stable aggregates were more pronounced with the increased orchards ages,and SFT exerted severe effects on water-stable aggregates of older orchards(40 and 63 yr)than juvenile orchards.Undergoing SFT,the soil instability index and the percentage of aggregate destruction increased by mean 0.15 mm and 1.86%,the degree of aggregation decreased by mean 1.32%,and the erosion resistance weakened,which consequently led to aggregate stability decreased.In addition,soil free,amorphous,and crystalline iron oxide as well as soil organic matter and clay contents are all important factors affecting the stability of water-stable aggregates,and their changes in their contents were consistent with those in the stability of water-stable aggregates.The results of this study suggest that long-term planting fruit trees can exacerbate the damaging effects of SFT on aggregate stability and further soil erosion increases and nutrient losses in an orchard,which hider sustainable use of soil and the productivity orchards.LIANG Yunjiang DENG Xu SONG Tao CHEN Guoshuang WANG Yuemei ZHANG Qing LU Xinrui 2021Chinese Geographical Science2021,31,2:3
3Effect of TMGa flux on GaN films deposited on Ti coated on glass substrates at low temperature显示文摘Highly c-axis-oriented GaN films were deposited on Ti coated glass substrates using low temperature electron cyclotron resonance plasma enhanced metal organic chemical vapor deposition system(ECR-PEMOCVD)with trimethyl gallium(TMGa)as gallium source.The influence of TMGa flux on the properties of GaN films were systematically investigated by reflection high energy electron diffraction(RHEED),X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD),atomic force microscopy(AFM)and Raman scattering.The GaN film with small surface roughness and high c-axis preferred orientation was successfully achieved at the optimized TMGa flux of 1.0 sccm.The ohmic contact characteristic between GaN and Ti layer was clearly demonstrated by the near-linear current-voltage(I-V)curve.The GaN/Ti/glass structure has great potential to dramatically improve the scalability and reduce the cost of solid-state lighting light emitting diodes.WANG EnPing BIAN JiMing QIN FuWen ZHANG Dong LIU YueMei ZHAO Yue DUAN ZhongWei WANG Shuai 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,30:2
4Chemistry of two-dimensional MXene nanosheets in theranostic nanomedicine显示文摘Transition metal carbide,carbonitride and nitride MXenes,as the emerging two-dimensional(2D)nanomaterials,have aroused burgeoning research interest in a broad range of applications ranging from energy conversion to biomedicines attributing to their distinctive planar nanostructure,physiochemical properties and biological effects.They are featured with fascinating electronic,optical,magnetic,mechanical and thermal properties,which exert significant roles in biomedical applications of 2D MXenes.In this review,we briefly summarize the recent research progress of 2D MXenes and highlight their intrinsic chemistry in theranostic nanomedicines,focusing on the synthetic chemistry for MXenes construction,surface chemistry for surface engineering,physiochemical property for theranostic application and biological chemistry for biosafety evaluation.Furthermore,based on the current achieve ments on MXenes,their potential research directio n,critical challenges and future development in biomedicine are also discussed.It is highly expected that 2D MXene-based nanosystems would have a broad application prospect in theranostic biomedicine provided the current facing critical issues and challenges are adequately solved.Yuemei Wang Wei Feng Yu Chen 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,4:2
5From core-shell to yolk-shell:Keeping the intimately contacted interface for plasmonic metal@semiconductor nanorods toward enhanced near-infrared photoelectrochemical performance显示文摘Here we report a synthetic strategy for controllable construction of yolk-shell and core-shell plasmonic metal@semiconductor hybrid nanocrystals through modulating the kinetics of sulfurization reaction followed by cation exchange.The yielded yolk-shell structured products feature exceptional crystallinity and more importantly,the intimately adjoined and sharp interface between plasmonic metal and semiconductor which facilitates efficient charge carrier communications between them.By exploiting the system composed of Au nanorods and p-type PbS as a demonstration,we show that the Au@PbS yolk-shell nanorods manifest notable improvement in visible and near infrared light absorption compared to the Au@PbS core-shell nanorods as well as hollow PbS nanorods.Moreover,the photocathode constituted by Au@PbS yolk-shell nanorods affords the highest photoelectrochemical activities both under simulated sunlight andλ>700 nm light irradiation.The superior performance of Au@PbS yolk-shell nanorods is considered arising from the combination of the favorable structural advantages of yolk-shell configuration and the surface plasmon resonance enhancement effect.We envision that the reported synthetic strategy can offer a valuable means to create hybrid nanocrystals with desirable structures and functions that enable to harness the photogenerated charge carriers,including the plasmonic hot holes,in wide-range solar-to-fuel conversion.Xiaodong Wan Jia Liu Dong Wang Yuemei Li Hongzhi Wang Rongrong Pan Erhuan Zhang Xiuming Zhang Xinyuan Li Jiatao Zhang 2020Nano Research2020,13,4:2

8Development of the pulse bump magnet in HEPS显示文摘Purpose In the extraction process from booster to storage ring(BTS)for high energy photon source(HEPS),the implementation of four pulse bump magnets plays a crucial role in creating a localized bump.This serves to effectively reduce the upstream kicker strength and facilitate the extraction procedure.In this paper,the development of four pulse bump magnets is presented,which were meticulously designed and thoroughly discussed,taking into consideration dynamic characteristics of the pulse magnet such as magnetic field,eddy current,induced voltage,and vibration.Methods The magnetic field and eddy currents of the pulse bump magnet were calculated through simulation using OPERA/ELLEKTRA,based on the 3D model.The design of the magnet incorporated the utilization of eddy currents within the vacuum chamber to achieve improved field uniformity.Furthermore,the measurements were performed to validate the magnet's design.Results The central magnetic field,integral magnetic field,effective length,and field uniformity measured for the first magnet meet the design specifications.The temperature measurement of the first magnet indicates that the temperature in the magnet was within acceptable limits.The measurement results for the other three magnets are consistent with those of the first one.Conclusions The magnetic field performances of four pulse bump magnets meet the physical requirements for beam extraction in BTS of HEPS.Additionally,the magnets have demonstrated reliable operation during extended testing periods.Lihua Huo Jinhui Chen Guanwen Wang Lei Wang Yuemei Peng Zhe Duan Yuanyuan Guo Guanjian Wu Xinzhe Zhai 2023Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,4:1

13Sorting nexin 3 exacerbates doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy via regulation of TFRC-dependent ferroptosis显示文摘The clinical utilization of doxorubicin(Dox)in various malignancies is restrained by its major adverse effect:irreversible cardiomyopathy.Extensive studies have been done to explore the prevention of Dox cardiomyopathy.Currently,ferroptosis has been shown to participate in the incidence and development of Dox cardiomyopathy.Sorting Nexin 3(SNX3),the retromer-associated cargo binding protein with important physiological functions,was identified as a potent therapeutic target for cardiac hypertrophy in our previous study.However,few study has shown whether SNX3 plays a critical role in Dox-induced cardiomyopathy.In this study,a decreased level of SNX3 in Dox-induced cardiomyopathy was observed.Cardiac-specific Snx3 knockout(Snx3-cKO)significantly alleviated cardiomyopathy by downregulating Dox-induced ferroptosis significantly.SNX3 was further demonstrated to exacerbate Dox-induced cardiomyopathy via induction of ferroptosis in vivo and in vitro,and cardiac-specific Snx3 transgenic(Snx3-cTg)mice were more susceptible to Dox-induced feroptosis and cardiomyopathy.Mechanistically,SNX3 facilitated the recycling of transferrin 1 receptor(TFRC)via direct interaction,disrupting iron homeostasis,increasing the accumulation of iron,triggering ferroptosis,and eventually exacerbating Dox-induced cardiomyopathy.Overall,these findings established a direct SNX3-TFRC-ferroptosis positive regulatory axis in Dox-induced cardiomyopathy and suggested that targeting SNX3 provided a new effective therapeutic strategy for Dox-induced cardiomyopathy through TFRCdependentferroptosis.Wenjing Yu Yuehuai Hu Zhiping Liu Kaiteng Guo Dinghu Ma Mingxia Peng Yuemei Wang Jing Zhang Xiaolei Zhang Panxia Wang Jiguo Zhang Peiqing Liu Jing Lu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,12:0
14Intact regulation of G1/S transition renders esophageal squamous cell carcinoma sensitive to PI3Kαinhibitors显示文摘Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase alpha(PI3Kα)inhibitors are currently evaluated for the therapy of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).It is of great importance to identify potential biomarkers to predict or monitor the efficacy of PI3Kαinhibitors in an aim to improve the clinical responsive rate in ESCC.Here,ESCC PDXs with CCND1 amplification were found to be more sensitive to CYH33,a novel PI3Kα-selective inhibitor currently in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors including ESCC.Elevated level of cyclin D1,p21 and Rb was found in CYH33-sensitive ESCC cells compared to those in resistant cells.CYH33 significantly arrested sensitive cells but not resistant cells at G1 phase,which was associated with accumulation of p21 and suppression of Rb phosphorylation by CDK4/6 and CDK2.Hypo-phosphorylation of Rb attenuated the transcriptional activation of SKP2 by E2F1,which in turn hindered SKP2-mediated degradation of p21 and reinforced accumulation of p21.Moreover,CDK4/6 inhibitors sensitized resistant ESCC cells and PDXs to CYH33.These findings provided mechanistic rationale to evaluate PI3Kαinhibitors in ESCC patients harboring amplified CCND1 and the combined regimen with CDK4/6 inhibitors in ESCC with proficient Rb.Xu Zhang Yuxiang Wang Xi Zhang Yanyan Shen Kang Yang Qingyang Ma Yuemei Qiao Jiajie Shi Yi Wang Lan Xu Biyu Yang Gaoxiang Ge Landian Hu Xiangyin Kong Chunhao Yang Yi Chen Jian Ding Linghua Meng 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,5:0
15Nanomedicine-Leveraged Intratumoral Coordination and Redox Reactions of Dopamine for Tumor-Specific Chemotherapy显示文摘Great efforts have been made in investigating the neurotoxicity of dopamine(DA)in the presence of manganous ions.In contrast,here,we probe the possibility of DA-based cancer chemotherapy by leveraging intratumoral redox reactions of DA for producing cytotoxic species in situ.For this purpose,we have constructed a Mn-engineered,DA-loaded nanomedicine.Based on the unique size effect of the nanocarrier,this nanomedicine will not enter the central nervous system but can effectively accumulate in the tumor region,after which the nanocarrier can degrade to release Mn^(2+)and DA in response to the mild acidic intracelluar microenvironment of cancer cells.DA can chelate Mn^(2+)to form a binary coordination complex,where the strong metal-ligand interaction significantly promotes electron delocalization and elevates the reducibility of Mn center,favoring two sequential one-electron oxygen reduction reactions forming H_(2)O_(2),which can be further converted into highly oxidizing ·OH under the cocatalysis by Mn^(2+)and intracellular Fe^(2+).Additionally,as a twoelectron oxidation product of DA ligand,DA-oquinone is potent in exhausting cellular sulfhydryl and depleting reduced glutathione,inhibiting the intrinsic antioxidative mechanism of cancer cells,finally triggering severe oxidative damages in a synergistic manner.It is expected that such a strategy of nanotechnology-mediated metal-ligand coordination and subsequent nontoxicity-to-toxicity transition of DA in tumor may provide a promising prospect for future chemotherapy design.Bowen Yang Yuedong Guo Yuemei Wang Jiacai Yang Heliang Yao Jianlin Shi 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,5:0
