| 2 | Hot Working Characteristic of Superaustenitic Stainless Steel 254SMO显示文摘Hot deformation characteristic of superaustenitic stainless steel 254SMO has been studied by isothermal compression testing in the temperature range of 950–1,200 °C and strain rate range of 0.01–10 s-1.The activation energy of 496 kJ/mol was calculated by a hyperbolic-sine type equation over the entire range of strain rates and temperatures.In order to obtain optimum hot working conditions,processing maps consisting of power dissipation map and instability map were constructed at different strains.The power dissipation map exhibits two domains with relatively high efficiencies of power dissipation.The first domain occurs in the temperature range of 990–1,070 °C and the strain rate range of0.01–0.1 s-1.Microstructure observation in this domain indicates the partial dynamic recrystallization(DRX) accompanied with precipitation of tetragonal sigma phase.The second domain occurs in the temperature range of 1,140–1,200 °C and the strain rate range of 0.01–1 s-1with a peak efficiency of power dissipation of 39%,and in this domain,the microstructure observation reveals the full DRX.The instability map shows that flow instability occurs at the temperatures below 1,140 °C and the strain rates above 0.1 s-1. | Enxiang Pu Wenjie Zheng Jinzhong Xiang Zhigang Song Han Feng Yuliang Zhu | 2014 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2014,27,2: | 6 |

| 4 | In situ observation of C_(60)(C(COOH)_(2))_(2) interacting with living cells using fluorescence microscopy显示文摘The interactions between nanoparticles and living cells were investigated by an imaging technique of fluorescence microscopy. For this pur- pose, the C60 derivative C60(C(COOH)2)2, a thera- peutic agent for degeneration diseases of central nervous system, was synthesized, purified and characterized. Its interaction with the living cell and penetration of the cellular membrane were in situ studied using the real time imaging technique, and its potential cytotoxicity was also examined by flow cy- tometry. The results indicate that C60(C(COOH)2)2 can easily enter cells, and is mainly located in cytoplasm by fluorescein labeling. Furthermore, C60(C(COOH)2)2 can carry the molecule that cannot cross cellular membranes into cells, because fluo- rescein compound itself cannot enter the cell or ad- here to membrane. | 6 | Nerve growth factor precursor and sortilin effects on perihematomal brain tissue and the relationship to secondary cell apoptosis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Neuronal apoptosis in perihematomal brain tissues following intracerebral hemorrhage is strongly related to the formation of a compound signal pathway between nerve growth factor precursor (proNGF), p75NTR, and sortilin receptor. Sortilin acts as a co-receptor and molecular switch governing the p75NTR-mediated pro-apoptotic signal induced by proNGF. OBJECTIVE: To investigate proNGF and sortilin expressions in perihematomal brain tissues following intracerebral hemorrhage, and to study the effects of proNGF and sortilin on secondary cell apoptosis. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A paired, comparison study was performed at the Laboratory of Histology and Embryology, Xi'an Jiaotong University from October 2007 to September 2008. MATERIALS: Brain tissue samples were obtained from 15 patients with intracerebral hemorrhage, who were treated at the Department of Neurosurgery, First Affiliated Hospital, Medical College of Xi'an Jiaotong University from October 2007 to March 2008. Rabbit anti-proNGF polyclonal antibody was provided by Chemicon, USA; rabbit antisortilin polyclonal antibody by Abcam, UK; and TUNEL kit by Promega, USA. METHODS: Perihematomal brain tissues selected 0.5 cm from the hemorrhage area were considered to be the hemorrhage group, while brain tissues from the middle temporal gyrus served as the control group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Histopathological changes were detected using hematoxylin-eosin staining, cell apoptosis was determined using the TUNEL method, and proNGF and sortilin ex- pressions were determined using immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Edema was clearly observed in perihematomal brain tissues, and infiltration of inflammatory cells was visible, with the presence of irregular and necrotic bodies. The apoptotic rate in the hemorrhage group was significantly greater than in the control group (P < 0.01). Moreover, sortilin expression significantly increased (P < 0.01), but proNGF expression remained unchanged (P > 0.05). Correlation analysis suggested that sortilin expression positively correlated with apoptosis (rs = 0.648, P < 0.01).
