1Structural changes of gut microbiota in Parkinson's disease and its correlation with clinical features显示文摘The aim of this study was to compare the structure of gut microbiota in Parkinson's disease(PD) patients and healthy controls;and to explore correlations between gut microbiota and PD clinical features. We analyzed fecal bacterial composition of 24 PD patients and 14 healthy volunteers by using 16 S rRNA sequencing. There were significant differences between PD and healthy controls, as well as among different PD stages. The putative cellulose degrading bacteria from the genera Blautia(P=0.018),Faecalibacterium(P=0.048) and Ruminococcus(P=0.019) were significantly decreased in PD compared to healthy controls.The putative pathobionts from the genera Escherichia-Shigella(P=0.038), Streptococcus(P=0.01), Proteus(P=0.022), and Enterococcus(P=0.006) were significantly increased in PD subjects. Correlation analysis indicated that disease severity and PD duration negatively correlated with the putative cellulose degraders, and positively correlated with the putative pathobionts. The results suggest that structural changes of gut microbiota in PD are characterized by the decreases of putative cellulose degraders and the increases of putative pathobionts, which may potentially reduce the production of short chain fatty acids, and produce more endotoxins and neurotoxins; and these changes is potentially associated with the development of PD pathology.Wei Li Xiaoli Wu Xu Hu Tao Wang Shan Liang Yunfeng Duan Feng Jin Bin Qin 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,11:26
2Earthquake prediction from China's mobile gravity data显示文摘The relation between plate tectonics and earthquake evolution is analyzed systematically on the basis of 1998e2010 absolute and relative gravity data from the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China. Most earthquakes originated in the plate boundary or within the fault zone. Tectonic deformation was most intense and exhibited discontinuity within the tectonically active fault zone because of the differential movement; the stress accumulation produced an abrupt gravity change, which was further enhanced by the earthquake. The gravity data from China's Mainland since 2000 obviously reflected five major earthquakes(Ms > 7), all of which were better reflected than before 2000. Regional gravity anomalies and a gravity gradient change were observed in the area around the epicenter about 2 or 3 years before the earthquake occurred, suggesting that gravity change may be a seismic precursor. 4Deformation and stress distribution of the human foot after plantar ligaments release:A cadaveric study and finite element analysis显示文摘The majority of foot deformities are related to arch collapse or instability,especially the longitudinal arch.Although the relationship between the plantar fascia and arch height has been previously investigated,the stress distribution remains unclear.The aim of this study was to explore the role of the plantar ligaments in foot arch biomechanics.We constructed a geometrical detailed three-dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) model of the human foot and ankle from computer tomography images.The model comprised the majority of joints in the foot as well as bone segments,major ligaments,and plantar soft tissue.Release of the plantar fascia and other ligaments was simulated to evaluate the corresponding biomechanical effects on load distribution of the bony and ligamentous structures.These intrinsic ligaments of the foot arch were sectioned to simulate different pathologic situations of injury to the plantar ligaments,and to explore bone segment displacement and stress distribution.The validity of the 3-D FE model was verified by comparing results with experimentally measured data via the displacement and von Mise stress of each bone segment.Plantar fascia release decreased arch height,but did not cause total collapse of the foot arch.The longitudinal foot arch was lost when all the four major plantar ligaments were sectioned simultaneously.Plantar fascia release was compromised by increased strain applied to the plantar ligaments and intensified stress in the midfoot and metatarsal bones.Load redistribution among the centralized metatarsal bones and focal stress relief at the calcaneal insertion were predicted.The 3-D FE model indicated that plantar fascia release may provide relief of focal stress and associated heel pain.However,these operative procedures may pose a risk to arch stability and clinically may produce dorsolateral midfoot pain.The initial strategy for treating plantar fasciitis should be non-operative.LIANG Jun YANG YunFeng YU GuangRong NIU WenXin WANG YuBin 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,3:8
5Highly efficient Cu/anatase TiO2 {001}-nanosheets catalysts for methanol synthesis from CO2显示文摘Anatase TiO_2 nanosheets(-ns-) with dominant exposed {001} facets were used as support to load copper,and the synthesized Cu/TiO_2-ns catalysts were evaluated for CO_2 hydrogenation to methanol. Under the reaction conditions, P = 3.0 MPa, T = 260 ℃, V(N_2):V(H_2):V(CO_2) = 8:69:23 and gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) = 3600 mL g^(-1)h^(-1), the methanol yield reached an appealing high value, 5.6%. Copper-loading amount, calcination temperature and reduction atmosphere have been investigated in this work, which significantly influence the particle sizes of copper and/or the defect concentration in TiO_2, then leading to different catalytic performance. Characterizations of XRD, EPR, CO_2-TPD and FTIR demonstrate that higher specific surface area of Cu is good for the hydrogenation of CO_2 and adequate amount of Ti^(3+) plays important roles in CO_2 activation. 8Comparison of Effects of Mechanical Stretching on Osteogenic Potential of ASCs and BMSCs显示文摘Mechanical forces play critical roles in the development and remodeling processes of bone.As an alternative cell source for bone engineering,adipose-derived stem cells(ASCs)should be fully investigated for their responses to mechanical stress.Similarly,the osteogenic potential,stimulated by mechanical stress,should be compared with bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs),which have been clinically used for bone tissue engineering.In this study,ASCs and BMSCs were osteogenic-induced for 48 hours,and then subjected to uniaxial mechanical stretching for 2 or 6 hours.Cell orientation,osteogenic regulatory genes,osteogenic genes and ALP activities were measured and compared between ASCs and BMSCs.ASCs could align in a perpendicular way to the direction of stretching stress,while BMSCs did not present a specific alignment.Both 2 and 6 hours mechanical stretching could enhance the mRNA expression of Osx and Runx2 in BMSCs and ASCs,while OCN mRNA only increased in ASCs after 6 hours mechanical loading.Mechanical stretching enhanced the BMP-2 mRNA expression in ASCs,while only after 6 hours of mechanical loading significantly increased the BMP-2 gene expression in BMSCs.Significant differences only exist between ASCs and BMSCs loaded at 2 hours of mechanical stretching.It is concluded that ASCs are more rapid responders to mechanical stress,and have greater potential than BMSCs in osteogenesis when stimulated by mechanical stretching,indicating their usefulness for bone study in a rat model.Brian E. 9Gravity variations before the Menyuan Ms6.4 earthquake显示文摘In order to study the relationship between gravity variation and Menyuan Ms6.4 earthquake, gravity variation characteristics in mid-eastern of Qilian Mountain were analyzed based on the 2012-2015 relative gravity datasets. The results indicated that the gravity changes in mid-eastern of Qilian Mountain increased gradually, while gravity changes around Menyuan remarkably. 14Measurement of GaAs start duration in different solution concentration using infrared images显示文摘This paper proposes a new infrared method to measure the start duration of GaAs substrate in chemi- cal etching. When etching starts, the temperature of liquid-film will change because of heat release in the chemical reaction. As a result, the start duration of GaAs can be tested by collecting real-time in- frared thermal images in the course of temperature variation. Both theoretical analysis and experi- mental results show that the line shape liquid film of a 2-mm width is a good monitoring subject. By making use of the grey distribution change of a certain cross section of the line shape liquid film, the start duration of reaction between GaAs and H2SO4-H2O2-H2O is obtained. The start durations of reac- tion between GaAs substrate and H2SO4:H2O2:H2O (=5:1:50 and 15:3:50) solution are about 0.2 s and 0.3―0.4 s, respectively. 15Comparison between the time-integrated spectrum and the peak time spectrum of gamma-ray bursts and possible implications显示文摘The mono-frequency peak luminosity and the corresponding photon energy of the time-integrated(Ls p,Es p)and peak time(Lt p,Et p)νfνspectra were derived for a sample of 38 redshift-known Fermi GRBs by fitting the spectra with the Band function.It was found that Et pis generally consistent with Es p,and Lt pis averagely three times larger than Ls p.The slope of the Lt p-Et prelation was consistent with that of the Ls p-Es prelation.The photon indices in the peak time spectrum,particularly,the index of the low energy end was,were statistically larger than that in the time-integrated spectrum.These results indicate that Ls pand Es pare dominated by Lt pand Et p,respectively.The difference of the spectral indices between the time-integrated and peak time spectra may be because of the overlap effect of a series of time-resolved spectra within a GRB.Our simulations,which were based on the observed spectral evolution and correlation between the energy flux and the peak energy within individual GRBs support our speculations.The Lt p-Et prelation may be less contaminated by the overlap effect,and it would may be an intrinsic feature of radiation physics.LYU Fen WANG YuanZhu LIANG YunFeng LIN TingTing HU YouDong LIANG EnWei 2015Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2015,58,3:1

17Estimation of the minimum miscibility pressure for CO_(2)ecrude-oil systems by molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘CO_(2)injection is an effective enhanced oil recovery technique for energy security with the benefits of carbon neutrality.To reach the maximum oil recovery,the miscible condition between CO_(2)and oil needs to be maintained in the reservoir,which requires the operation pressure to be higher than the minimum miscibility pressure(MMP).There are two types of MMPs:the first-contact MMP(FC-MMP)and the multi-contact MMP(MC-MMP).In this study,molecular dynamics simulations were performed for the CO_(2)eoil interface system using two simplified digital oil models:a Bakken dead oil with four lumping components and a live-crude-oil model with 50 types of oil molecules but with no asphaltenes and heavy oil fractions.The vanishing interfacial tension method was used to predict the MMP.Different CO_(2)eoil volume ratios were considered to mimic the different degrees of vaporization.To estimate the MMP accurately and rapidly,the interfacial tension in the low-pressure regime was used for the prediction.Consequently,different MMPs were obtained,where the MMP value increased with increasing CO_(2)eoil volume ratio.FC-MMP can be predicted when the CO_(2)eoil volume ratio is sufficiently high.When the CO_(2)eoil volume ratio was approximately 9e10,MMP was closest to the actual MC-MMP value.The condensing and vaporizing mechanism was also studied at the molecular scale.Because pure CO_(2)was used,only the vaporizing effect on MMP occurred.It was found that the intermediate C2eC6 components have the main effect on the MMP calculation.This study can help to establish a computational protocol to estimate FC-MMP and MC-MMP,which are widely used in reservoir engineering.Wuge Cui Yunfeng Liang Yoshihiro Masuda Takeshi Tsuji Toshifumi Matsuoka Haruka Takahashi 2023Petroleum Research2023,8,1:0
18Antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects of medicated thread moxibustion combined with Shujin Jiannao granule in the treatment of HFMD显示文摘Objective: To investigate antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects of medicated thread moxibustion combined with Shujin Jiannao granule in the treatment of HFMD. Methods: A total of 124 children with HFMD were collected to divided into western medicine group (62 cases) and experimental group (62 cases) while 62 healthy children were enrolled to become normal control group. Western medicine group was treated according to conventional therapy while experimental group was treated with combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and western medicine. To determine serum levels of S100B, NSE, CRP and WBC and observe the clinical effectiveness. Results: In the western medicine group the total effectiveness rate is 88.7% while it is 96.8% in the experimental group (P <0.0);the average disappearance time of symptoms are shorter in the experimental group than that in the western medicine group (P <0.05). Compared with the control group , the serum levels of S100B, NSE, CRP and WBC all rise in HFMD children (P <0.05 or P <0.01). After treatment , the serum levels of S100B, NSE, CRP and WBC reduce in both the experimental group and the western medicine group, when compared with that before treatment. The difference is statistically significant (P <0.05 or P <0.01). 19Impact of carbon disclosure on debt financing costs显示文摘Creditors,such as banks,often use disclosed environmental information to assess a company’s environmental risk and ensure the safety of debt funds.Consequently,carbon disclosures have become an important consideration for creditors when making investments.This study explores the relationship between carbon disclosure and debt financing costs using data on listed companies from 2008 to 2019.The results show that carbon disclosure can reduce the debt financing costs of enterprises,and that this influence is more significant for private companies than for state-owned enterprises.Instrumental variables and Propensity Score Matching(PSM)were used to evaluate the robustness of negative relationships.Furthermore,carbon disclosure has a more significant impact on debt costs with less environmental supervision pressure,weak residents’environmental awareness,and weak product market competition.These findings provide guidance for companies’carbon information disclosure and support the establishment of official carbon disclosure standards.Yiming Hu Yunfeng Liang 2024Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2024,22,1:0
20TAD-Net:An approach for real-time action detection based on temporal convolution network and graph convolution network in digital twin shop-floor[version 1;peer review:2 approved]显示文摘Background:Intelligent monitoring of human action in production is an important step to help standardize production processes and construct a digital twin shop-floor rapidly.Human action has a significant impact on the production safety and efficiency of a shop-floor,however,because of the high individual initiative of humans,it is difficult to realize real-time action detection in a digital twin shop-floor.Methods:We proposed a real-time detection approach for shop-floor production action.This approach used the sequence data of continuous human skeleton joints sequences as the input.We then reconstructed the Joint Classification-Regression Recurrent Neural Networks(JCR-RNN)based on Temporal Convolution Network(TCN)and Graph Convolution Network(GCN).We called this approach the Temporal Action Detection Net(TAD-Net),which realized real-time shop-floor production action detection.Results:The results of the verification experiment showed that our approach has achieved a high temporal positioning score,recognition speed,and accuracy when applied to the existing Online Action Detection(OAD)dataset and the Nanjing University of Science and Technology 3 Dimensions(NJUST3D)dataset.TAD-Net can meet the actual needs of the digital twin shop-floor.Conclusions:Our method has higher recognition accuracy,temporal positioning accuracy,and faster running speed than other mainstream network models,it can better meet actual application requirements,and has important research value and practical significance for standardizing shop-floor production processes,reducing production security risks,and contributing to the understanding of real-time production action.Qing Hong Yifeng Sun Tingyu Liu Liang Fu Yunfeng Xie 2021Digital Twin2021,1,1:0
