| 1 | N6-Methyladenine DNA Methylation in Japonica and Indica Rice Genomes and Its Association with Gene Expression,Plant Development, and Stress Responses显示文摘N6-Methyladenine (6mA)DNA methylation has recently been implicated as a potential new epigenetic marker in eukaryotes,including the dioot modelArabidopsis thaliana.However,the conservation and divergence of 6mA distribution patterns and functions in plants remain elusive.Here we report high-quality 6mA methylomes at single-nucleotide resolution in rice based on substantially improved genome sequences of two rice cultivars,Nipponbare (Nip;Japonica)and 93-11 (Indica).Analysis of 6mA genomic distribution and its association with transcription suggest that 6mA distribution and function is rather conserved between rice and Arabidopsis.We found that 6mA levels are positively correlated with the expression of key stressrelated genes,which may be responsible for the difference in stress tolerance between Nip and 93-11. Moreover,we showed that mutations in DDM1 cause defects in plant growth and decreased 6mA level. | 5 | Vacuum degree effects on betavoltaics irradiated by ^(63)Ni with differently apparent activity densities显示文摘For many current betavoltaics, beta sources and PN junction energy conversion units are separated. The air gap between the two parts could stop part of decay beta particles, which results in inefficient performance of the betavoltaic. By employing 63Ni with an apparent emission activity density of 7.26×10~7 and 1.81×10~8 Bq cm^(-2), betavoltaic performance levels were calculated at a vacuum degree range of 1×10~5 to 1×10^(-1) Pa and measured at 1.0×10~5 and 1.0×10~4 Pa, respectively. Results show that betavoltaic performance levels improve significantly as the vacuum degree increases. The maximum output power (P_(max)) exhibits the largest change, followed by short-circuit current (I_(sc)), open-circuit voltage (V_(oc)), and fill factor. The vacuum degree effects on Isc, Voc,and Pmax of the betavoltaic with low apparent activity density 63Ni are more significant than those of the betavoltaic with high apparent activity density ^(63)Ni. Moreover, the improved efficiencies of the measured performances are larger than the calculated efficiencies because of the low ratio of Isc and reverse saturation current (I_0). The values of I0, ideality factor, and shunt resistance were estimated to modify the equivalent circuit model. The calculation results based on this model are closer to the measurement results. | 7 | Thioperamide treats neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy by postsynaptic H1 receptors显示文摘Thioperamide, a selective histamine H3 receptor antagonist, can increase histamine content in the brain, improve brain edema, and exert a neuroprotective effect. This study aimed to examine the mechanism of action of thioperamide during brain edema in a rat model of neonatal hypoxicischemic encephalopathy. Our results showed that thioperamide significantly decreased brain water content and malondialdehyde levels, while significantly increased histamine levels and superoxide dismutase activity in the hippocampus. This evidence demonstrates that thioperamide could prevent oxidative damage and attenuate brain edema following neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. We further observed that changes in the above indexes occurred after combined treatment of thioperamide with the H1 receptor antagonist, pyrilamine, and the H2 receptor antagonist, cimetidine. Experimental findings indicated that pyrilamine reversed the effects of thioperamide; however, cimetidine had no significant influence on the effects of thioperamide. | 9 | Tunnel elasticity enhancement effect of 3D submicron ceramics(A_(l)2O_(3),TiO_(2),ZrO_(2)) fiber on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)显示文摘Some polymers are flexible,foldable,and wearable.Structural-functional composite is fabricated by adding inorganic fillers with functional properties.Up to date,compared with the polymer matrix,the composite prepared by polymer-inorganic fillers has lower flexibility,higher brittleness,and higher modulus of elasticity.In this paper,three-dimensional (3D) net-shaped submicron α-Al_(2)O_(3),orthorhombic ZrO_(2),and rutile TiO_(2) fiber were fabricated by solution blowing spinning on a large scale.On the contrary,the elastic modulus (E) of the composite prepared by this 3D ceramic fiber was greatly reduced,and the flexibility of the composite was higher than that of the polymer matrix.When the strain was 75%,the E of the 3D net-shaped Al_(2)O_(3) fiber-polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) composite was 20% lower than that of PDMS.When the strain was 78%,the E of the 3D net-shaped TiO_(2) fiber-PDMS and 3D net-shaped ZrO_(2) fiber-PDMS composites decreased by 20% and 25%,respectively.This abnormal effect,namely the tunnel elastic enhancement effect,has great practical significance.In all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries,the composite inhibits lithium dendrite growth and the 3D inorganic network contributes to lithium ion transport.It is possible to promote the industrial production of low-cost and large-scale flexible solid-state lithium-ion batteries and it can enhance the energy storage density of energy storage materials.This novel idea also has bright prospects in flexible electronic materials. | Yuxiu HAO Junwei XIE Bingqing XU Bingkun HU Yunpeng ZHENG Yang SHEN | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,3: | 1 |
| 10 | Envonalkib versus crizotinib for treatment-naive ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer: a randomized, multicenter, open-label, phase III trial显示文摘Anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)rearrangements are present in about 5–6%of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cases and associated with increased risks of central nervous system(CNS)involvement.Envonalkib,a novel ALK inhibitor,demonstrated promising anti-tumor activity and safety in advanced ALK-positive NSCLC in the first-in-human phase I study.This phase III trial(ClinicalTrials.gov NCT04009317)investigated the efficacy and safety of first-line envonalkib in advanced ALK-positive NSCLC cases.Totally 264 participants were randomized 1:1 to receive envonalkib(n=131)or crizotinib(n=133).Median independent review committee(IRC)-assessed progression-free survival(PFS)times were 24.87(95%confidence interval[CI]:15.64–30.36)and 11.60(95%CI:8.28–13.73)months in the envonalkib and crizotinib groups,respectively(hazard ratio[HR]=0.47,95%CI:0.34–0.64,p<0.0001).IRC-assessed confirmed objective response rate(ORR)was higher(81.68%vs.70.68%,p=0.056)and duration of response was longer(median,25.79[95%CI,16.53–29.47]vs.11.14[95%CI,9.23–16.59]months,p=0.0003)in the envonalkib group compared with the crizotinib group.In participants with baseline brain target lesions,IRC-assessed CNS-ORR was improved with envonalkib compared with crizotinib(78.95%vs.23.81%).Overall survival(OS)data were immature,and median OS was not reached in either group(HR=0.84,95%CI:0.48–1.47,p=0.5741).The 12-month OS rates were 90.6%(95%CI,84.0%–94.5%)and 89.4%(95%CI,82.8%–93.6%)in the envonalkib and crizotinib groups,respectively.Grade≥3 treatment-related adverse events were observed in 55.73%and 42.86%of participants in the envonalkib and crizotinib groups,respectively.Envonalkib significantly improved PFS and delayed brain metastasis progression in advanced ALK-positive NSCLC. | Yunpeng Yang Jie Min Nong Yang Qitao Yu Ying Cheng Yanqiu Zhao Manxiang Li Hong Chen Shou’an Ren Jianying Zhou Wu Zhuang Xintian Qin Lejie Cao Yan Yu Jian Zhang Jianxing He Jifeng Feng Hao Yu Li Zhang Wenfeng Fang | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,9: | 0 |

| 12 | TiO_(2) nanorods based self-supported electrode of 1T/2H MoS_(2) nanosheets decorated by Ag nano-particles for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))has shown significant promise as an economic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalyst for hydrogen generation,but its catalytic performance is still lower than noble metalbased catalysists.Herein,a silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs)-decorated 1T/2H phase layered MoS_(2) electrocatalyst grown on titanium dioxide nanorod arrays(Ag NPs/1T(2H)MoS_(2)/TNRs)was prepared through acid-tunable ammonium ion intercalation.Taking advantage of MoS_(2) layered structure and crystal phase controllability,as-prepared Ag NPs/1T(2H)MoS_(2)/TNRs exhibited ultrahigh HER activity.As-proposed strategy combines facile hydrogen desorption(Ag NPs)with efficient hydrogen adsorption(1T/2H MoS_(2))effectively circumventes the kinetic limitation of hydrogen desorption by 1T/2H MoS_(2).The as-prepared Ag NPs/1T(2H)MoS_(2)/TNRs electrocatalyst exhibited excellent HER activity in 0.5 mol/L H2SO4 with low overpotential(118 mV vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE))and small Tafel slope(38.61 mV/dec).The overpotential exhibts no obvious attenuation after 10 h of constant current flow.First-principles calculation demonstrates that as-prepared 1T/2H MoS_(2) exhibit a large capacity to store protons.These protons can be subsequently transferred to Ag NPs,which significantly increases the hydrogen coverage on the surface of Ag NPs in HER process and thus change the rate-determining step of HER on Ag NPs from water dissociation to hydrogen recombination.This study provides a unique strategy to improve the catalytic activity and stability for MoS_(2)-based electrocatalyst. | Changzheng Lin Yunpeng Liu Yaxing Sun Zhenyu Wang Hao Xu Mingtao Li Jiangtao Feng Bo Hou Wei Yan | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11: | 0 |

| 14 | Safety and activity of WX-0593(Iruplinalkib)in patients with ALK-or ROS1-rearranged advanced non-small cell lung cancer:a phase 1 dose-escalation and dose-expansion trial显示文摘WX-0593(Iruplinalkib)is a novel,highly selective oral ALK and ROS1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKI).In this study,the safety,antitumor activity,and pharmacokinetics of WX-0593 were evaluated in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients with ALK or ROS1 rearrangement.In the dose-escalation phase and dose-expansion phase,patients were treated with WX-0593 until disease progression,unacceptable toxicity,or subject withdrawal.In the dose-escalation phase,the primary endpoints were maximum tolerated dose(MTD),dose-limiting toxicity(DLT),and safety assessed by investigators.In the dose-expansion phase,the primary endpoint was objective response rate(ORR)assessed by investigators.Between September 25,2017 and October 15,2018,a total of 153 patients received WX-0593 treatment.Two dose-limiting toxicities(DLTs)including one grade 3 QT interval prolonged and one grade 2 chronic heart failure were reported at the dose of 300 mg in one patient.MTD was not reached.Overall,140 of the 152(92%)patients experienced treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)and 35 of the 152(23%)patients had TRAEs≥grade 3.The overall ORR was 59.3%(32 of 54)for the dose-escalation phase and 56.6%(56 of 99)for the dose-expansion phase.For patients who were ALK-rearranged and ALK TKI naive,the ORR were 81.0%(17 of 21)in the dose-escalation phase and 76.3%(29 of 38)in the dose-expansion phase,and for patients who previously received crizotinib as the only ALK TKI,the ORR were 38.1%(8 of 21)and 45.7%(21 of 46)for the two phases,respectively.For patients who were ROS1-rearranged,the ORR were 30.0%(3 of 10)in the dose-escalation phase and 44.4%(4 of 9)in the dose-expansion phase.WX-0593 showed favorable safety and promising antitumor activity in advanced NSCLC patients with ALK or ROS1 rearrangement. | Yuankai Shi Jian Fang Xuezhi Hao Shucai Zhang Yunpeng Liu Lin Wang Jianhua Chen Yi Hu Xiaosheng Hang Juan Li Chunling Liu Yiping Zhang Zhehai Wang Yanping Hu Kangsheng Gu Jian’an Huang Liangming Zhang Jinlu Shan Weiwei Ouyang Yanqiu Zhao Wu Zhuang Yan Yu Jun Zhao Helong Zhang Pei Lu Weidong Li Meimei Si Mingjing Ge Huaize Geng | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,2: | 0 |

| 18 | Cytokine levels and pathological characteristics of a patient with severe coronavirus disease 2019:a case report显示文摘To the Editor:The clinical spectrum of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)appears to be wide,ranging from asymptomatic to severe progressive pneumonia with respiratory failure,multiorgan failure,and even death.Here,we investigated the clinical and pathological characteristics of a patient who died from severe COVID-19.Our findings will facilitate a deeper understanding of the pathogenesis and progression of COVID-19 and improve clinical strategies to combat the disease.On January 23,2020,a 57-year-old man without relevant history presented with fatigue and fever after attending a family party 2 days prior.Among the members of the family party,one relative had traveled from Wuhan.Over 9 days,the fever and cough developed,and the patient visited the emergency department.A throat swab was positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-COV-2)on real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction.He was admitted to the local hospital and received supportive therapies,anti-viral agents,atomized inhalation of interferon-γ,and oxygen therapy.Cough,fever,and dyspnea further developed on February 8.He received non-invasive mechanical ventilation therapy.On February 18,he was transferred to a superior hospital with shortness of breath. | Kai Kang Yang Gao Mingyan Zhao Dongsheng Fei Ming Ye Yan Gao Wei Yang Changsong Wang Haitao Liu Guangping Chang Xianxin Kang Yunpeng Luo Xue Du Jiping Qi Lin Tian Min Zhou Chunfang Hao Kaijiang Yu | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,1: | 0 |
