1Clinical analysis of intracranial germinoma's craniospinal irradiation using helical tomotherapy显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of intracranial germinoma patients treated with craniospinal irradiation(CSI) using helical tomotherapy(HT) system in our center. Methods: Twenty-three patients who were treated with CSI in our center from January 2008 to July 2012 were collected, with an average age of 20. All of the patients' CSI used the HT system. The total doses were 27-36 Gy/15-20 F(1.5-2 Gy per fraction), and total local doses were 46-60 Gy/30-50 F(5 fractions per week). All female patients for CSI were treated with left-right parallel-opposed field irradiation to protect their ovarian functions. Median follow-up time was 30.9 months(range, 5-67 months). The SPSS19.0 software was used, and the overall survival(OS) was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method.Results: Among 17 patients with assessable tumors, 9 cases(52.9%) were CR, 7 cases(41.2%) were PR, and 1 case(5.9%) was SD. Hematological toxicity was the severest side-effect occurred in the procedure of CSI. The level 1-4 acute leukopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 34.8% and 21.7% and the level 1-4 acute thrombopenia were 8.7%, 30.4%, 21.7% and 8.7%, respectively.Conclusions: For primary intracranial germinomas, HT can be used to implement CSI for simplifying radiotherapy procedures, improving radiotherapy accuracy, enhancing protection of peripheral organs at risk(ORA) and guaranteeing therapeutic effects. 2Experimental demonstrations of high-Q superconducting coplanar waveguide resonators显示文摘We successfully designed and fabricated an absorption-type of superconducting coplanar waveguide (CPW) resonators. The resonators are made from a niobium film (about 160 nm thick) on a high-resistance Si substrate, and each resonator is fabricated as a meandered quarter-wavelength transmission line (one end is short to the ground and another end is capacitively coupled to a through feedline). With a vector network analyzer we measured the transmissions of the applied microwave through the resonators at ultra-low temperature. The obtained loaded quality factors are significantly high, i.e. up to ~10 6 . When the temperature increases slowly from the base temperature (20 mK), the resonance frequencies of the resonators are blue shifted and the quality factors are lowered slightly. 3Effects of Brown Fish Meal Replacement with Fermented Soybean Meal on Growth Performance, Feed Efficiency and Enzyme Activities of Chinese Soft-shelled Turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis显示文摘A 120-day feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of partial replacement of brown fish meal (BFM) by fermented soybean meal (FSBM) in diets of Chinese soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis). The turtles (initial mean body weight, (115.52 ± 1.05) g) were fed with three experimental diets, in which 0%, 4.72% and 9.44% BFM protein was replaced by 0%, 3% and 6% FSBM, respectively. Results showed that the feeding rate (FR), specific growth rate (SGR) and feed efficiency ratio (FER) of turtles fed with the diet containing 3% FSBM were not significantly different from the control group (0% FSBM) (P > 0.05). However, FR, SGR and FER of turtles fed with the diet containing 6% FSBM were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). No significant differences were observed in the activities of serum glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase and glutamicpyruvic transaminase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). However, the uric acid concentration in turtles fed with the diet containing 3% or 6% FSBM was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the activities of lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase and total superoxide dismutase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). 5Direct synthesis of L10-FePt nanopartides from single-source bimetallic complex and their electrocatalytic applications in oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution reactions显示文摘L10-FePt nan oparticles(NPs)with high chemical ordering represent effective electrocatalysts to reduce the cost and enhance theircatalytic performanee in fuel cells.A molecular strategy of preparing highly ordered FePt NPs was used by direct pyrolysis of a Fe,Pt-containing bimetallic complex.The resultant L10-FePt NPs had very high crystallinity as reflected by the obvious diffractionpatterns,clear lattice fringes and characteristic X-ray diffraction peaks,etc.Besides,the strong ferromagnetism with room temperaturecoercivity of 27 kOe further confirmed the face-centered tetrag on al(fet)phase in good agreement with the ordered nano structures.TheFePt NPs can be used as electrocatalysts to catalyze oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in an O2·saturated 0.1 M HClO4 solution andhydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in the 0.5 M H2SO4 electrolyte with much better performance than commercial Pt/C,and showedquite high stability after 10,000 cycles.The strategy utilizing orga no metallic precursors to prepare metal alloy NPs was dem on strated tobe a reliable approach for improving the catalytic efficiency in fuel cells.Zhengong Meng Fei Xiao Zhuoxun Wei Xuyun Guo Ye Zhu Yurong Liu Guijun Li Zhen-Qiang Yu Minhua Shao Wai-Yeung Wong 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:5
6Fabrication and characterization of novel meso-porous carbon/n-octadecane as form-stable phase change materials for enhancement of phase-change behavior显示文摘In this study, series of novel composite phase change materials(PCMs) were prepared through vacuum impregnation by using meso-porous carbon as a supporting matrix and n-octadcane as PCMs.The meso-porous carbon material was prepared through one-pot co-assembly method, using resorcinol and formaldehyde as carbon precursor, tetraethoxysilane as silica sources and triblock copolymer F127 as a template. And the phase behaviors of n-octadcane confined in the nano-porous structure of the meso-porous carbon were further investigated. Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy spectra show that n-octadecane was effectively encapsulated in the porous structure of mesoporous carbon and the composite PCMs were successfully prepared. Differential scanning calorimetry results confirm that the composite PCMs possess a good phase change behavior, fast thermal-response rate and excellent thermal cycling stability. In addition, the composite PCMs possess expected heat storage and heat release properties. 9Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transitions and the Expression of Twist in MCF-7/ADR, Human Multidrug-Resistant Breast Cancer Cells显示文摘0BJECTIVE To study the expression levels of Twist and epithelialmesenchymal transitions in multidrug-resistant MCF-7/ADR breast cancer cells, and to study the relationship between multidrug resistance (MDR) and metastatic potential of the cells. METHODS RT-PCR, immunohistochemical and Western blotting methods were used to examine the changes of expression levels of the transcription factor Twist, E-cadherin and N-cadherin in the MCF-7 breast cancer cell line and its multidrug-resistant variant, MCF-7/ADR. RESULTS In MCF-7 cells, the expression of E-cadherin can be detected, but there is no expression of Twist or N-cadherin. In MCF-7/ADR cells, E-cadherin expression is lost, but the expression of two other genes was significantly positive. 10A novel ball-in-ball hollow oxygen-incorporating cobalt sulfide spheres as high-efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Transition-metal chalcogenides with hollow nanostructure,especially cobalt sulfides,are considered as the most pro mising non-precious metal catalysts for oxygen evolution reactio n.However,it is difficult to synthesize oxygen-containing cobalt sulphides with hollow structure due to the different physical/chemical properties between metal sulfides and metal cobalts.Herein,we report a novel oxygencontaining amorphous cobalt sulfide ball-in-ball hollow sphere s(Co-S-O BBHS) synthesized by an anion exchange method.Taking advantage of the ball-in-ball hollow structure,the amorphous Co-S-O BBHS shows supe rior oxygen evolution reaction(OER) electrocatalytic performance with a low overpotentiat of285 mV at 10 mA/cm2,small Tafel slope of 49.67 mV/dec,high Faraday efficiency of 96%,and satisfied durability.Experiments and DFT calculations demonstrate that the introduction of oxygen and sulfur modulates the electronic structure of Co-S-O BBHS,thus enhancing the adsorption of *0(adsorbed 0 species on catalyst surface) intermediate,which greatly boosts the catalytic activity towards OER.This work provides a new strategy for controllable synthe sis of complex hollow structures of transition-metal chalcogenides for OER.Yurong Li Qifei Guo Yimin Jiang Wei Shen Ming Li Rongxing He 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:2

16Interface engineering of FeCo LDH@NiCoP nanowire heterostructures for highly efficient and stable overall water splitting显示文摘Developing efficient and inexpensive OER electrocatalysts is a challenge for overall water splitting.Herein,the heterostructured Fe Co LDH@NiCoP/NF nanowire arrays with high performance were rationally designed and prepared using an interface engineering strategy.Benefitting from the special heterostructure between Fe Co LDH and Ni Co P,the as-synthesized Fe Co LDH@Ni Co P/NF electrocatalyst exhibits outstanding OER performance with an exceptionally low overpotential of 206 mV to achieve 20 mA/cm^(2)current density in an alkaline electrolyte.Importantly,a cell constructed using the FeCo LDH@NiCoP/NF electrocatalyst as cathode and anode just needs a voltage of 1.48 V at 10 mA/cm^(2),and shows excellent stability over 80 h.Experimental and theoretical results verified that the introduction of Ni Co P efficiently regulates the electronic structure of Fe Co LDH,which tremendously boosts the conductivity and intrinsic catalytic activity of FeCo LDH@NiCoP/NF electrocatalyst.The present work provides guidance for the preparation of other efficient and cheap electrocatalytic materials.Yong Jiang Yurong Li Yimin Jiang Xiaorui Liu Wei Shen Ming Li Rongxing He 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8:1
