| 1 | Mechanism study on flotation separation of molybdenite from chalcocite using thioglycollic acid as depressant显示文摘Effects of collectors(butyl xanthate(BX), O-isopropyl-N-sulfur ethyl carbamate(Z-200) and emulsified kerosene), dereagent(sodium sulfide) and depressant thioglycollic acid(TGA) on the flotation of chalcocite and molybdenite were investigated through flotation. The first principle theory was adopted to understand the difference of their surfaces and reaction between minerals and reagents. Results of flotation tests revealed that selectivity of emulsified kerosene is the best of three collectors in separation of chalcocite and molybdenite, though the others also display excellent collecting properties. Sodium sulfide can effectively remove collectors adsorbed on chalcocite surface, and TGA is an effective depressant of chalcocite at pH 8-9. Through first principle study, molybdenite displays relatively stronger covalence property while bonding interaction between copper atoms in chalcocite enhanced its ionicity. Bonding interaction is weaker in reaction of TGA and molybdenite, so it shows higher hydrophobicity and better flotability. | 4 | LncRNAs LCETRL3 and LCETRL4 at chromosome 4q12 diminish EGFR-TKIs efficiency in NSCLC through stabilizing TDP43 and EIF2S1显示文摘Epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)are effective targeted therapy drugs for advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients carrying sensitized EGFR mutations.The rapid development of EGFR-TKIs resistance represents a major clinical challenge for managing NSCLC.The chromosome 4q12 is the first genome-wide association study(GWAS)-reported locus associated with progression-free survival(PFS)of NSCLC patients treated with EGFR-TKIs.However,the biological significance of the noncoding transcripts at 4q12 in NSCLC remains elusive.In the present study,we identified two 4q12 long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)LCETRL3 and LCETRL4 which could significantly dimmish EGFR-TKIs efficiency.In line with their oncogenic role,evidently higher LCETRL3 and LCETRL4 levels were observed in NSCLC tissues as compared with normal specimens.Importantly,lncRNA LCETRL3 can interact with oncoprotein TDP43 and inhibit ubiquitination and degradation of TDP43.Similarly,lncRNA LCETRL4 can bind and stabilize oncoprotein EIF2S1 through reducing ubiquitin-proteasome degradation of EIF2S1.In particular,elevated levels of LCETRL3 or LCETRL4 in NSCLC cells resulted in stabilization of TDP43 or EIF2S1,increased levels of NOTCH1 or phosphorylated PDK1,activated AKT signaling and,thus,EGFR-TKIs resistance.Taken together,our data revealed a novel model that integrates two lncRNAs transcribed from the 4q12 locus into the regulation of EGFR-TKIs resistance in NSCLC.These findings shed new light on the importance of functionally annotating lncRNAs in the GWAS loci and provided insights to declare novel druggable targets,i.e.,lncRNAs,which may unlock the therapeutic potential of EGFR-TKIs resistant NSCLC in the clinic. | Yankang Li Yue Shen Mengyu Xie Bowen Wang Teng Wang Jiajia Zeng Hui Hua Jinming Yu Ming Yang | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,2: | 1 |

| 8 | Investigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on crime incidents number in different cities显示文摘The COVID-19 pandemic is strongly affecting many aspects of human life and society around the world.To investigate whether this pandemic also influences crime,the differences in crime incidents numbers before and during the pandemic in four large cities(namely Washington DC,Chicago,New York City and Los Angeles)are investigated.Moreover,the Granger causal relationships between crime incident numbers and new cases of COVID-19 are also examined.Based on that,new cases of COVID-19 with significant Granger causal correlations are used to improve the crime prediction performance.The results show that crime is generally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic,but it varies in different cities and with different crime types.Most types of crimes have seen fewer incidents numbers during the pandemic than before.Several Granger causal correlations are found between the COVID-19 cases and crime incidents in these cities.More specifically,crime incidents numbers of theft in Washington DC,Chicago and New York City,fraud in Washington DC and Los Angeles,assault in Chicago and New York City,and robbery in Los Angeles and New York City,are significantly Granger caused by the new case of COVID-19.These results may be partially explained by the Routine Activity theory and Opportunity theory that people may prefer to stay at home to avoid being infected with COVID-19 during the pandemic,giving fewer chances for crimes.In addition,involving new cases of COVID-19 as a variable can slightly improve the performance of crime prediction in terms of some specific types of crime.This study is expected to obtain deeper insights into the relationships between the pandemic and crime in different cities,and to provide new attempts for crime prediction during the pandemic. | Miaomiao Hou Zhaolong Zeng Xiaofeng Hu Jinming Hu | 2022 | Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2022,3,4: | 0 |
| 9 | Nomogram for predicting the overall survival of patients after D2/R0 resection and chemoradiotherapy for stage Ⅲ gastric cancer or gastroesophageal junction cancer显示文摘Objective:To explore the independent factors associated with the overall survival(OS)after D2/R0 resection and adjuvant chemoradiotherapy(CRT)for stage Ⅲ gastric cancer(GC)and gastroesophageal junction(GEJ)cancer,and establish and validate a nomogram model to predict the OS in this patient population.Methods:A total of 569 stage Ⅲ GC or GEJ cancer patients who underwent D2/R0 resection and adjuvant CRT at our center from January 2013 to May 2018 were retrospectively enrolled in this study.The patients were randomly divided into training and validation cohorts in a 3:1 ratio.In the training cohort,univariate and multivariate analysis were conducted to identify clinical factors associated with OS,and a nomogram model was established on the basis of the independent factors.The concordance index(C-index)and the calibration curve were used to validate the prediction power of the nomogram.Results:Overall,427 and 142 patients were enrolled in the training and validation cohorts,respectively.In the univariate and multivariate analyses,age,Lauren's classification,TNM stage,and administration of adjuvant CRT were independent factors for OS to construct the nomogram.The C-index values were 0.654 and 0.613 in the training and validation cohorts,respectively.The calibration curves were identical to the actual OS.Risk stratification based on the nomogram model showed good risk stratification for OS in both groups.Conclusion:Our study included adjuvant CRT as a predictive factor and established a nomogram model for predicting the OS in patients with stage III GC or GEJ after D2/R0 resection and adjuvant therapy.This nomogram could facilitate more individualized prediction of OS in clinical practice. | Jinming Shi Wenzhe Kang Songlin Gao Wenyang Liu Yuan Tang Ning Li Qiang Zeng Huiying Ma Haoyue Li Yantao Tian Jing Jin | 2023 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,3: | 0 |
| 10 | Evidence for glaciation predating MIS-6 in the eastern Nyainqêntanglha Range, southeastern Tibet显示文摘Southeastern Tibet is one of the most glaciated regions on the Tibetan Plateau both at present and during the Quaternary. Numerical dating of glacial deposits has allowed the establishment of a provisional chronology of Quaternary glacial fluctuations in this region, with the oldest glaciation(Guxiang Glaciation) occurring in marine oxygen isotope stage 6(MIS-6).During our recent field investigations, a morphostratigraphically older lateral moraine than that of the Guxiang Glaciation has been first identified, which is ~500–600 m above the Guxiang Glaciation moraine and discontinuously preserved on valley shoulders in the Bodui Zangbo River valley, eastern Nyainqêntanglha Range in southeastern Tibet. Considering the moraine is best preserved at Nitong Village, here we name the glacier advance which deposited the moraine as 'Nitong Glaciation'. Using electron spin resonance(ESR) technique, we dated the Nitong Glaciation moraine to 506.3±60.4 ka. | 11 | Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of Novel Porphyrin Derivatives显示文摘The porphyrin derivatives, 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-(N-pentane-carboxamide) phenyl) porphyrin(4 NC5-TPP), 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-(N-dodecane-carboxamide) phenyl) porphyrin(4 NC12-TPP) and their zinc-complexes(4 NC5-TPPZn and 4 NC12-TPPZn), have been synthesized. Their thermal properties and morphologies were investigated via thermal gravity analysis(TGA), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and polarized optical microscopy(POM). It was found that the 4 NC5-TPP was amorphous and the 4 NC5-TPPZn was crystalline at room temperature, while the 4 NC12-TPP formed the columnar liquid crystal and the 4 NC12-TPPZn showed the spherulite texture. The electron state density distributions and the optimum configuration of the porphyrin derivatives were calculated by chemical simulation. The electrochemical oxidation and reduction abilities of the porphyrin derivatives were studied by cyclic voltammetry(CV). It was indicated that the porphyrin derivatives had the potential to develop organic photovoltaic(OPV) devices. Using the porphyrin derivatives as donor materials and the 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic dianhydride(PTCDA) as the acceptor material, the OPV devices were fabricated. The device structure is ITO/porphyrin derivatives:PTCDA/Al. The relationship between the morphology and performance of OPV was studied. | 13 | Short-wavelength light induces broiler’s behavioral and physiological syndrome through a misaligned eating rhythm显示文摘Previous work shows that long-wavelength light has a robust circadian rhythmic pattern in the expression of clock genes of chickens,whereas short-wavelength light leads to an arrhythmic oscillation of some clock genes(e.g.,cClock,cCry1,cCry2,cPer2,and cPer3).However,knowledge about the consequences of LED lights on the physiological and behavioral phenotype was still not clear.This experiment hypothesize that short-wavelength light disturbs chicken’s eating rhythm and leads to a wrong time to eat,resulting in metabolic syndrome.“Meihuang”broilers were housed in monochromatic LED blue light,green light,yellow light,red light,or white light with a very low dose(15 lx).Multiply physiological parameters were measured and the 24-h eating behavior was determined.The effects of LED light on physiological status and behavioral phenotype showed a wavelength-dependent manner.Short-wavelength light significantly decreased the level of total triglycerides and total cholesterol but increased triiodothyronine concentration.Inversely,long-wavelength light increased the triglycerides and total cholesterol and reduced the level of triiodothyronine.Further,it was found that short-wavelength light significantly boosted body weight compared with long-wavelength light,despite equivalent levels of food intake.Short-wavelength light induced 23.4%and 14.1%of food consumption during subjective nights,but long-wavelength light did not.These results imply that when chickens eat mattered,not just what they eat.Thus,low as 15 lx of blue light exposure during the typical dark period is sufficient to leads an individual to eat at“wrong”time,causing metabolic dysfunction. | Yefeng Yang Qiong Liu Shouyi Wang Li Zeng Chenghao Pan Ahmed Jado Yasser Elhadidi Kai Liu Jinming Pan | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,3: | 0 |
