Investigation of Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Related Factors in the Primary Caregivers of Inpatients with Cancer显示文摘Objectives To explore the anxiety, depression, stress and related factors in the primary caregivers of inpatients with cancer. Methods A total of 235 selected caregivers of inpatients with cancer were included as the research subjects, and the Depression-Anxiety-Stress Self-Rating Scale 21(DASS-21)was used to evaluate their depression, anxiety and stress. The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 25.0 software. Results The study showed that the caregivers of cancer patients had different levels of depression, anxiety and stress, but all rates were above the normal range, with 51.7%,56.0%and 34.9%of subjects respectively reporting these conditions. In addition, the above indicators were correlated with the caregivers’gender, age, relationship with the cancer patients, the family’s economic status, religious belief and duration of caregiving:being female(T-Statistic=-2.061,P=0.040)and having a low income(F=2.627,P=0.035)were positively correlated with the caregivers’stress level.Having a low income(F=2.804,P=0.027)was also positively correlated with the depression scores. When the caregivers were the patient's parents, they had higher levels of anxiety(F=2.429,P=0.036)than caregivers in other relationships. The results of a linear correlation analysis showed that the depression of caregivers was negatively correlated with the family’s economic status(r value=-0.244,P<0.01)and positively correlated with the duration of caregiving(r=0.138,P<0.05).The anxiety score was positively correlated with the caregivers’age(r=0.141,P<0.05)and duration of caregiving(R=0.132,P<0.05),but negatively correlated with the family’s economic status(r=-0.187,P<0.01).The stress level was positively correlated with the caregivers’gender(r=0.137,P<0.05),age(r=0.210,P<0.01),duration of caregiving(r=0.171,P<0.01)and current job status(r=0.165,P<0.05),but negatively correlated with the family’s economic status(r=-0.202,P<0.01).The results of a multiple stepwise regression showed that age and religious belief were significant predictors of stress, while the family’s economic status was a significant predictor of depression, and age was a significant predictor of anxiety. Conclusion The caregivers of hospitalized cancer patients showed varying degrees of anxiety, depression and stress, according the psychological assessments;the provision or interventions might be helpful for these individuals. | Hong Hong Xu Ruo Tong Xue Yi Cheng Yu Jie Zhang Jie Rao Mei Liu Shi Ying Yu Ling Xiang Liu Yi Qian Liu Yong Qian Shu Liu Qing Yang Han Ping Shi | 2020 | Journal of Nutritional Oncology2020,5,4: | 2
Mechanism of Learning and Memory Impairment in Rats Exposed to Arsenic and/or Fluoride Based on Microbiome and Metabolome显示文摘Objective Arsenic(As) and fluoride(F) are two of the most common elements contaminating groundwater resources. A growing number of studies have found that As and F can cause neurotoxicity in infants and children, leading to cognitive, learning, and memory impairments. However, early biomarkers of learning and memory impairment induced by As and/or F remain unclear. In the present study, the mechanisms by which As and/or F cause learning memory impairment are explored at the multi-omics level(microbiome and metabolome). Methods We stablished an SD rats model exposed to arsenic and/or fluoride from intrauterine to adult period. Results Arsenic and/fluoride exposed groups showed reduced neurobehavioral performance and lesions in the hippocampal CA1 region. 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that As and/or F exposure significantly altered the composition and diversity of the gut microbiome, featuring the Lachnospiraceae_NK4A136_group, Ruminococcus_1, Prevotellaceae_NK3B31_group, [Eubacterium]_xylanophilum_group. Metabolome analysis showed that As and/or F-induced learning and memory impairment may be related to tryptophan, lipoic acid, glutamate, gamma-aminobutyric acidergic(GABAergic) synapse, and arachidonic acid(AA) metabolism. The gut microbiota, metabolites, and learning memory indicators were significantly correlated. Conclusion Learning memory impairment triggered by As and/or F exposure may be mediated by different gut microbes and their associated metabolites. | ZHANG Xiao Li YU Sheng Nan QU Ruo Di ZHAO Qiu Yi PAN Wei Zhe CHEN Xu Shen ZHANG Qian LIU Yan LI Jia GAO Yi LYU Yi YAN Xiao Yan LI Ben REN Xue Feng QIU Yu Lan | 2023 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2023,36,3: | 2

Conformational Study of 8-C-glucosyl-prunetin by Dynamic NMR Spectroscopy显示文摘By means of variable temperature NMR spectra, conformation of 8-C-glucosyl prunetin, isolated from the leaves of Dalbergia hainanensis (Leguminosae), was studied. The restricted rotation around the C (sp3)-C (sp2) bond in the C-glucosides isoflavonoid results in two main conformers (syn and anti). With the help of MM calculation, the preferred conformation A has H-1 gauche to the 7-OCH3. The barrier to rotation was 18.1 kcal/mol. This result agrees with the calculated value 16.2 kcal/mol of free energy of activation for the interconversion between the conformers. | Pei Cheng ZHANG, Ying Hong WANG, Xin LIU, Xiang YI, Ruo Yun CHEN, De Quan YU* Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, Beijing 100050 | 2002 | Chinese Chemical Letters2002,13,7: | 0
Correlation between Combined Urinary Metal Exposure and Grip Strength under Three Statistical Models:A Cross-sectional Study in Rural Guangxi显示文摘Objective This study aimed to investigate the potential relationship between urinary metals copper(Cu),arsenic(As),strontium(Sr),barium(Ba),iron(Fe),lead(Pb)and manganese(Mn)and grip strength. Methods We used linear regression models, quantile g-computation and Bayesian kernel machine regression(BKMR)to assess the relationship between metals and grip strength. Results In the multimetal linear regression,Cu(β=−2.119),As(β=−1.318),Sr(β=−2.480),Ba(β=0.781),Fe(β=1.130)and Mn(β=−0.404)were significantly correlated with grip strength(P<0.05).The results of the quantile g-computation showed that the risk of occurrence of grip strength reduction was−1.007(95%confidence interval:−1.362,−0.652;P<0.001)when each quartile of the mixture of the seven metals was increased.Bayesian kernel function regression model analysis showed that mixtures of the seven metals had a negative overall effect on grip strength, with Cu,As and Sr being negatively associated with grip strength levels. In the total population, potential interactions were observed between As and Mn and between Cu and Mn(P_(interactions) of 0.003 and 0.018,respectively).Conclusion In summary, this study suggests that combined exposure to metal mixtures is negatively associated with grip strength.Cu,Sr and As were negatively correlated with grip strength levels, and there were potential interactions between As and Mn and between Cu and Mn. | LIANG Yu Jian RONG Jia Hui WANG Xue Xiu CAI Jian Sheng QIN Li Dong LIU Qiu Mei TANG Xu MO Xiao Ting WEI Yan Fei LIN Yin Xia HUANG Shen Xiang LUO Ting Yu GOU Ruo Yu CAO Jie Jing HUANG Chu Wu LU Yu Fu QIN Jian ZHANG Zhi Yong | 2024 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2024,37,1: | 0
Preparation of Adenovirus 5 E1A Polyclonal Antibody显示文摘The adenovirus E1A proteins are primarily concerned with modulating cellular metabolism to make the cell more susceptible to virus replication. In this study, adenovirus E1A gene was amplified via PCR on the HEK-293 cells genome and cloned into prokaryotic expression vector pRsetB. The recombinant plasmid pRsetB-E1A was expressed in E.coli BL21 and the relative molecular mass(Mr) of expressed fusion protein was approximately 36000. The recombinant protein was purified on a Ni-NIA agarose column and detected by SDS-PAGE and Western blot. | 14 | Optimized Electronic Modification of S-Doped CuO Induced by Oxidative Reconstruction for Coupling Glycerol Electrooxidation with Hydrogen Evolution显示文摘Glycerol(electrochemical) oxidation reaction(GOR) producing organic small molecule acid and coupling with hydrogen evolution reaction is a critical aspect of ensuring balanced glycerol capacity and promoting hydrogen generation on a large scale. However, the development of highly efficient and selective non-noble metal-based GOR electrocatalysts is still a key problem. Here, an S-doped CuO nanorod array catalyst(S-CuO/CF) constructed by sulfur leaching and oxidative remodeling is used to drive GOR at low potentials: It requires potentials of only 1.23 and 1.33 V versus RHE to provide currents of 100 and 500 mA cm^(-2), respectively. Moreover, it shows satisfactory comprehensive performance(at 100 mA cm^(-2), V_(cell) = 1.37 V) when assembled as the anode in asymmetric coupled electrolytic cell. Furthermore, we propose a detailed cycle reaction pathway(in alkaline environment) of S-doped CuO surface promoting GOR to produce formic acid and glycolic acid. Among them, the C–C bond breaking and lattice oxygen deintercalation steps frequently involved in the reaction pathway are the key factors to determine the catalytic performance and product selectivity. This research provides valuable guidance for the development of transition metal-based electrocatalysts for GOR and valuable insights into the glycerol oxidation cycle reaction pathway. | Ruo‑Yao Fan Xue‑Jun Zhai Wei‑Zhen Qiao Yu‑Sheng Zhang Ning Yu Na Xu Qian‑Xi Lv Yong‑Ming Chai Bin Dong | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,10: | 0
The homology analysis of internal transcribed spacer sequence of ribosomal DNA in common dermatophytes显示文摘In order to analyze the sequences of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) including the 5.8 S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) of common dermatophytes, so as to obtain a rapid and accurate method to identify the species of dermatophytes and to establish the phylogenetic tree of these species to understand their relationship,16 strains of dermatophytes were collected and preliminarily identified by morphological characteristics. General primers for fungi ITS1 and ITS4 were used to amplify the ITS rDNA of each strains with PCR. The PCR products after purification were sequenced directly and were analyzed through internet. In the results,11 strains were identified by means of morphological features, among which 5 strains were Trichophyton,5 strains were Microsporum and 1 was Epidermaphyton, which was consistent with the results by molecular biology. In the 5 unidentifiable strains, 1 strain was proved to be Chrysosporium by molecular biology. These strains studied could be divided into 3 different classes as indicated in the analysis of the phylogenetic tree of the sequences in ITS, which were quite different from those of morphological classification. It is evident from the above observations that the molecular method of analysis on the ITS sequences is a rapid, highly sensitive and accurate approach for the detection of dematophyte species, however, it still exhibits some limitations needing the supplementation with morphological identification. | QIANG WANG ZHAO HUI JI HOU MIN LI LI JUAN ZHANG WEI LIU ZHE WAN XIAO HONG WANG DUAN LI WANG RUO YU LI | 2006 | Journal of Microbiology and Immunology2006,4,2: | 0
