| 1 | Comparison of lymph node number and prognosis in gastric cancer patients with perigastric lymph nodes retrieved by surgeons and pathologists显示文摘Objective: To compare the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes and prognosis in gastric cancer patients whose perigastric lymph node retrieval was performed by surgeons and pathologists.Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of clinical and follow-up data from 1,056 patients who underwent gastric cancer D2 radical lymph node resection between January 2008 and December 2010 in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department of Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital.The follow-up ended in December 2015.Patients were divided into two groups according to the specialty of physicians who performed the postoperative perigastric lymph node retrieval: the surgeon group(475 cases) and the pathologist group(581 cases).The numbers of positive and total perigastric lymph nodes and the 3- and 5-year survival were compared between gastric cancer patients in the two groups overall and stratified by TNM stage(AJCC 7th Edition).Results: Overall, the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes were significantly higher in the surgeon group than in the pathologist group(6.53±4.07 vs.4.09±3.70, P=0.021; 29.64±11.50 vs.20.71±8.56, P<0.001).Further analysis showed that the total number of lymph nodes in stage Ⅰ patients(19.40±9.62 vs.15.45±8.59, P=0.011) and the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes in stage Ⅱ(1.38±1.08 vs.0.87±1.55, P=0.031; 25.35±10.80 vs.16.75±8.56, P<0.001) and stage Ⅲ patients(8.11±6.91 vs.6.66±5.12, P=0.026; 32.34±12.55 vs.25.45±8.31, P<0.001)were significantly higher in the surgeon group than in the pathologist group.The survival analysis showed that the3- and 5-year survival of stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ patients was significantly higher in the surgeon group than in the pathologist group(82.0% vs.73.1%, 69.5% vs.61.2%, P=0.038; 49.2% vs.38.9%, 36.3% vs.28.0%; P=0.045).Conclusions: Compared with retrieval performed by pathologists, postoperative perigastric lymph node retrieval performed by surgeons was associated with significant increase in the total lymph node number of stage Ⅰ patients, the numbers of positive and total lymph nodes of stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ patients, and the survival of stage Ⅱ and stage Ⅲ gastric cancer patients. | Lixin Jiang Zengwu Yao Yifei Zhang Jinchen Hu Dawei Zhao Huiyuan Zhai Xixun Wang Zhenbin Zhang Dong Wang | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2016,28,5: | 5 |
| 2 | Characteristic analysis of phospholipid fatty acids (PLFAs) in typical nutrient polluted lake sediment in Wuhan显示文摘The process of urbanization aggravates the endogenous pollution of urban lake sediment,and polluted sediment may seriously affect the quality of the water in lakes.At present,it is difficult to distinguish the difference between sediment that is heavily polluted by nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)when using an analysis based on a physicochemical index classification.The current study applied phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA)technology to further analyze the sediment characteristics from the perspective of microbiology.Surface sediment from five urban lakes that are heavily polluted with N and P in Wuhan were sampled.Statistical approaches were used to analyze the microbial community structure in the sampled sediment,and to determine the correlations between the microorganisms and physicochemical indices.The most severely polluted lake sediment had similar PLFA structures,the highest saturated fatty-acid content,and bacteria as the dominant microorganism.However,there were differences between the microbial biomass of the various sediment samples,which may have been related to the degree of N and P pollution.Analysis of the microbial diversity in the sediment samples indicated that the bacteria were experiencing starvation and nutrient pressure,which may have been due to the dissolved oxygen concentration of the heavily polluted lake sediment.A correlation analysis showed that the endogenous N and P had different effects on the microbes of the polluted sediment.A redundancy analysis(RDA)demonstrated that the N/P ratio had the greatest influence on the PLFA species,accounting for 83%of the cumulative interpretation.To effectively promote the role of sediment microorganisms on circulating elements,it is necessary to regulate the N/P ratio of the sediment to some extent.When the N/P ratio in sediment exceeds 6,N pollution should be prioritized. | Xia Zhang Qianru Chen Chuan Wang Hongpei Zhang Yuqing Zhao Liping Zhang Biyun Liu Zhenbin Wu Qiaohong Zhou | 2021 | International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,2: | 5 |
| 3 | Timing,Displacement and Growth Pattern of the Altyn Tagh Fault:A Review显示文摘The Altyn Tagh Fault(ATF) is the longest, lithospheric scale and strike-slip fault in East Asia. In the last three decades, multidisciplinary studies focusing on the timing, displacement of strikeslip and growth mechanics of the ATF have made great progresses. Most studies revealed that the ATF is a sinistral strike-slip and thrust fault, which underwent multiple episodes of activation. The fault is oriented NEE with a length of 1600 km, but the direction, timing of activity and magnitude of its extension eastward are still unclear. The AFT was predominately active during the Mesozoic and Cenozoic, in relation to the Mesozoic collision of the Cimmerian continent(Qiangtang and Lhasa block) and Cenozoic collision of India with Asia. The AFT strike-slipped with a left-lateral displacement of ca. 400 km during the Cenozoic and the displacement were bigger in the western segment and stronger in the early stage of fault activation. The slip-rates in the Quaternary were bigger in the middle segment than in the western and eastern segment. We roughly estimated the Mesozoic displacement as ca. 150-300 km. The latest paleomagnetic data showed that the clockwise vertical-axis rotation did not take place in the huge basins(the Tarim and Qaidam) at both side of ATF during the Cenozoic, but the rotation happened in the small basins along the ATF. This rotation may play an important role on accommodating the tectonic deformation and displacement of the ATF. | 7 | Study on Dynamic Characteristics of the Growth and Development of Armeniaca dasycarpa(Ehrh.) Borkh显示文摘[Objective]This study aimed to analyze the dynamics of growth and development of Armeniaca dasycarpa( Ehrh.) Borkh fruit,thus providing the theoretical basis for cultivation and breeding of good-quality and high-yield A. dasycarpa. [Method] With A. dasycarpa cultivar Yechengzixing as the experimental material,P. cerasifera Ehrh cultivar Huangguoyingtaoli and A. vulgaris Lam. cultivars Luopuhongdaike,Wanshujianali and Kuchetuoyong as control,the vertical diameter,horizontal diameter and fresh weight of fruit and embryos were measured every 7 d during the growth and development period. [Result] The result showed that the whole fruit growth period of Yechengzixing,lasted 93 d from the end of flowering to fruit maturity. The dynamics of fruit vertical diameter,horizontal diameter and fresh weight of Yechengzixing presented'rapid-slow-rapid'double S-shaped curves. The whole fruit growth period of Yechengzixing could be divided approximately into three stages: first rapid growth stage,slow growth stage and second rapid growth stage,which lasted 29,42 and 21 d,respectively. Daily increment of fruit vertical diameter and horizontal diameter of Yechengzixing reached the maximum at the first rapid growth stage,while daily increment of fruit fresh weight reached the maximum at the second rapid growth stage. The dynamics of vertical diameter,horizontal diameter and fresh weight of Yechengzixing embryos presented S-shaped curves. Fruit growth and development dynamics of the tested materials presented double S-shaped curves. The whole fruit growth period of Yechengzixing,Huangguoyingtaoli and three apricot cultivars lasted 93,119 and 77- 98 d,respectively. Thus,the duration of fruit growth period of Yechengzixing was 26 d shorter than that of Huangguoyingtaoli and exhibited no significant difference compared with three apricot cultivars. The duration of each growth stage and daily increment of Yechengzixing fruit had no significant difference compared with three apricot cultivars. Moreover,Huangguoyingtaoli had a longer slow growth stage and lower daily increment than Yechengzixing.
