2Antiviral activity of Jinchai capsule against influenza virus显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect on influenza virus of Jinchai,a capsule made of Traditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS:Madin-darby canine kidney(MDCK) cells were infected with the FM1 strain of influenza virus A(subtype H1N1) in vitro.They were used to explore how Jinchai affected cell adsorption,cell membrane fusion,transcription and replication of the influenza virus.Hemagglutinin(HA) protein,intracellular pH,and influenza virus protein acid(PA) polymerase subunit were detected with confocal microscopy and real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS:Jinchai significantly reduced the expression of HA and PA polymerase subunit mRNA in infected MDCK cells.Jinchai also significantly decreased intracellular pH in infected cells.CONCLUSIONS:Jinchai had strong anti-influenza activity against the influenza virus.It weakened the ability of the influenza virus to adsorb to cell wall and fuse with cell membranes in the early infection stage,and inhibited the transcription and replication of the virus.Juying Zhong Xiaolan Cui Yujing Shi Yingjie Gao Hongxin Cao 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:4
3FGFR/RACK1 interacts with MDM2, promotes P53 degradation, and inhibits cell senescence in lung squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective:FGFR is considered an important driver gene of lung squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC).Thus,identification of the biological events downstream of FGFR is important for the treatment of this malignancy.Our previous study has shown that the FGFR/RACK1 complex interacts with PKM2 and consequently promotes glycolysis in LSCC cells.However,the biological functions of the FGFR/RACK1 complex remain poorly understood.Methods:Anchorage-independent assays and in vivo tumorigenesis assays were performed to evaluate cancer cell malignancy.Distant seeding assays were performed to evaluate cancer cell metastasis.β-gal staining was used to examine cell senescence,and immunoprecipitation assays were performed to examine the interactions among FGFR,RACK1,and MDM2.Results:FGFR/RACK1 was found to regulate the senescence of LSCC cells.Treatment with PD166866,an inhibitor of FGFR,or knockdown of RACK1 induced senescence in LSCC cells(P<0.01).A molecular mechanistic study showed that FGFR/RACK1/MDM2 form a complex that promotes the degradation of p53 and thus inhibits cell senescence.PD166866 and RG7112,an MDM2/p53 inhibitor,cooperatively inhibited the colony formation and distal seeding of LSCC cells(P<0.01),and upregulated the expression of p53 and p21.Conclusions:Together,our findings revealed the regulatory roles and mechanisms of FGFR/RACK1 in cell senescence.This understanding should be important in the treatment of LSCC.Tao Chen Fei Wang Shupei Wei Yingjie Nie Xiaotao Zheng Yu Deng Xubin Zhu Yuezhen Deng Nanshan Zhong Chengzhi Zhou 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3:3

8Elucidating electrochemical intercalation mechanisms of biomass-derived hard carbon in sodium-/potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Hard carbon materials are characterized by having rich resources,simple processing technology,and low cost,and they are promising as one of the anode electrodes for commercial applications of sodium-/potassium-ion batteries.Simultaneously,exploring the alkali metal ion storage mechanism is particularly important for designing high-performance electrode materials.However,the structure of hard carbon is more complex,and the description of energy storage behavior is quite controversial.In this study,the Magnolia grandiflora Lima leaf is used as a precursor,combined with simple pyrolysis and impurity removal processes,to obtain biomass-derived hard carbon material(carbonized Magnolia grandiflora Lima leaf[CMGL]).When it is used as an anode for sodium-ion batteries,it exhibits a high specific capacity of 315mAh/g,and the capacity retention rate is 90.0%after 100 cycles.For potassium-ion batteries,the charge specific capacity is 263.5mAh/g,with a capacity retention rate of 85.5%at the same cycling.Furthermore,different electrochemical analysis methods and microstructure characterization techniques were used to further elucidate the sodium/potassium storage mechanism of the material.All the results indicate that the high potential slope region represents the adsorption/desorption characteristics on the surface active sites,whereas the low-potential quasiplateau region belongs to the ion insertion/extraction in the graphitic microcrystallites interlayer.It is noteworthy that potassium ion is randomly intercalated between the graphitic microcrystallite layer without forming a segmented intercalation compound structure.Ziyi Zhu Wentao Zhong Yanjia Zhang Peng Dong Shigang Sun Yingjie Zhang Xue Li 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,4:1

12Controllable growth of GeSi nanostructures by molecular beam epitaxy显示文摘We present an overview on the recent progress achieved on the controllable growth of diverse GeSi alloy nanostructures by molecular beam epitaxy. Prevailing theories for controlled growth of Ge nanostructures on patterned as well as inclined Si surfaces are outlined firstly, followed by reviews on the preferential growth of Ge nanoislands on patterned Si substrates, Ge nanowires and high density nanoislands grown on inclined Si surfaces,and the readily tunable Ge nanostructures on Si nanopillars. Ge nanostructures with controlled geometries, spatial distributions and densities, including two-dimensional ordered nanoislands, three-dimensional ordered quantum dot crystals, ordered nanorings, coupled quantum dot molecules, ordered nanowires and nanopillar alloys, are discussed in detail. A single Ge quantum dot-photonic crystal microcavity coupled optical emission device demonstration fabricated by using the preferentially grown Ge nanoisland technique is also introduced. 14New insights into the suppression of inflammation and lipid accumulation by JAZF1显示文摘Atherosclerosis is one of the leading causes of disease and death worldwide.The identification of new therapeutic targets and agents is critical.JAZF1 is expressed in many tissues and is found at particularly high levels in adipose tissue(AT).JAZF1 suppresses inflammation(including IL-1β,IL-4,IL-6,IL-8,IL-10,TNFα,IFN-γ,IAR-20,COL3A1,laminin,and MCP-1)by reducing NF-κB pathway activation and AT immune cell infiltration.JAZF1 reduces lipid accumulation by regulating the liver X receptor response element(LXRE)of the SREBP-1c promoter,the cAMP-response element(CRE)of HMGCR,and the TR4 axis.LXRE and CRE sites are present in many cytokine and lipid metabolism gene promoters,which suggests that JAZF1 regulates these genes through these sites.NF-κB is the center of the JAZF1-mediated inhibition of the inflammatory response.JAZF1 suppresses NF-κB expression by suppressing TAK1 expression.Interestingly,TAK1 inhibition also decreases lipid accumulation.A dual-targeting strategy of NF-κB and TAK1 could inhibit both inflammation and lipid accumulation.Dual-target compounds(including prodrugs)1–5 exhibit nanomolar inhibition by targeting NF-κB and TAK1,EGFR,or COX-2.However,the NF-κB suppressing activity of these compounds is relatively low(IC50>300 nM).Compounds 6–14 suppress NF-κB expression with IC50 values ranging from 1.8 nM to 38.6 nM.HS-276 is a highly selective,orally bioavailable TAK1 inhibitor.Combined structural modifications of compounds using a prodrug strategy may enhance NF-κB inhibition.This review focused on the role and mechanism of JAZF1 in inflammation and lipid accumulation for the identification of new anti-atherosclerotic targets.Wujun Chen Yingjie Zhong Yang Yuan Meng Zhu Wenchao Hu Ning Liu Dongming Xing 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,6:0

16Joint probability analysis of water and sediment and predicting sediment load based on copula function显示文摘The Jinsha River comprises the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,which is the river section with the highest sediment content.Monitoring of sediment transport in the Jinsha River is done to the guarantee for the normal operation of the Three Gorges Reservoir.In the current study,a copula function was used to do a joint probability analysis of the water and sediment in the Jinsha River Basin(JRB),further a sediment load prediction model based on the copula function also was constructed.The results show that the average annual flow from 2001 to 2018 at the outlet of the Jinsha River(Yibin station)is about60.43 billion m^(3),and the average annual sediment load is about 58.82 million t.The linear correlation coefficient between annual flow and annual sediment load is 0.28.The best marginal distribution for annual flow and sediment load is Pearson Type Three(PE3)and Generalized Normal(GNO),respectively,and the best fit for the combined distribution of the two variables is the Frank copula function.The synchronous probability of water and sediment occurrence is 0.459,and the asynchronous probability is0.541.Based on the copula prediction model,the sediment load can be effectively simulated,and the correlation coefficient between the simulated sequence and the measured sequence reached 0.93.The current study provides important significance for the analysis of water and sediment in the JRB,which is beneficial to the management of Three Gorges Reservoir sediment discharge in the upstream and downstream.Haoyu Jin Xiaohong Chen Ruida Zhong Yingjie Pan Tongtiegang Zhao Zhiyong Liu Xinjun Tu 2022International Journal of Sediment Research2022,37,5:0
17Chemical components of PM_(2.5)in different seasons in Harbin,China显示文摘The seasonal characteristics of fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))were investigated from October 2020 to April 2021(spreading fall,winter and spring)in Harbin,a city located in northeast China.The mass concentrations of PM_(2.5)in winter were significantly higher than those in fall and spring.Moreover,our results indicated that various aerosol species had obvious seasonality.The proportions of secondary components were higher in winter than other two seasons.In contrast,the ratios of nitrate to sulfate(NO_(3)^(-)/SO_(4)^(2-))showed lower levels in winter,which was because both the ratios of nitrogen dioxide to sulfur dioxide(NO_(2)/SO_(2))and the ratios of nitrogen oxidation ratio to sulfur oxidation ratio(NOR/SOR)exhibited lower values in winter than in fall and spring.With PM_(2.5)increased,the NO_(3)^(-)/SO_(4)^(2-)ratios showed increasing trends in all three seasons,which was mainly attributed to the increase of NOR/SOR ratios in fall and spring,and the increase of both NO_(2)/SO_(2)and NOR/SOR ratios in winter.This result highlighted that nitrate was more important than sulfate as a driver for the growth of PM_(2.5)during the period of heavy air pollution.Additionally,the sources of organic aerosol(OA)in different seasons were also distinctly different.Overall,the sum of biomass burning OA(BBOA)and secondary OA(SOA)contributed>70%of OA in three seasons.The fractional contributions of BBOA to total OA,notably,exhibited higher levels in fall and spring,because of intensive open agricultural fires.The SOA fractions in OA were larger in winter,likely due to higher relative humidity which facilitated the secondary for-mation.A large increase in the proportions of BBOA was observed during polluted days in fall and spring compared to clean days.In comparison,during heavily-polluted periods,secondary formation made a dominant contribution to organic matter in winter.Qinqin Yu Jiumeng Liu Yingjie Zhong Xubing Cao Yulong Wang Yuan Cheng 2023Particuology2023,,5:0
18Safety and feasibility of laparoscopic surgery for colorectal and gastric cancer under the Chinese multi-site practice policy:admittance standards of competence are needed显示文摘Background:The multi-site practice(MSP)policy has been practiced in China over 10 years.This study aimed to investigate the safety and feasibility of performing laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer(LSCRC)and gastric cancer(LSGC)under the Chinese MSP policy.Methods:We collected and analysed the data from 1,081 patients who underwent LSCRC or LSGC performed by one gastrointestinal surgeon in his original hospital(n=573)and his MSP institutions(n=508)between January 2017 and December 2020.Baseline demographics,intraoperative outcomes,post-operative recovery,and pathological results were compared between the original hospital and MSP institutions,as well as between MSP institutions with and without specific competence(surgical skill,operative instrument,perioperative multi-discipline team).Results:In our study,690 patients underwent LSCRC and 391 patients underwent LSGC.The prevalence of post-operative complications was comparable for LSCRC(11.5%vs 11.1%,P=0.89)or LSGC(15.2%vs 12.6%,P=0.46)between the original hospital and MSP institutions.However,patients in MSP institutions without qualified surgical assistant(s)and adequate instruments experienced longer operative time and greater intraoperative blood loss.The proportion of patients with inadequate lymph-node yield was significantly higher in MSP institutions than in the original hospital for both LSCRC(11.5%vs 21.2%,P<0.01)and LSGC(9.8%vs 20.5%,P<0.01).Conclusion:For an experienced gastrointestinal surgeon,performing LSCRC and LSGC outside his original hospital under the MSP policy is safe and feasible,but relies on the precondition that the MSP institutions are equipped with qualified surgical skills,adequate operative instruments,and complete perioperative management.Zhenghao Cai Haiqin Song Zhenfeng Huang Abraham Fingerhut Ximo Xu Hao Zhong Zhigang Li Yingjie Zhang Dachong Sha Dandan Bao Haibo Wang Binghua Cai Shangbo Hua Yanhui Zhang Jianguang Sun Ke Ye Jianwen Li Yong Lu Bo Feng 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
19N/S codoping modification based on the metal organic frameworkderived carbon to improve the electrochemical performance of different energy storage devices显示文摘Carbon-based materials have become a research hotspot in the field of energy storage devices in recent years due to their abundant resources,low cost,and environmental friendliness.However,the low capacity and poor high rate performance still constitute great challenges.Metal organic framework-derived carbon has been widely researched because of its high porosity,tunable structure,and good conductivity.In this work,N/S codoped hierarchical porous carbon microspheres were prepared by a high-temperature heat treatment and atomic doping process using a zinc-based organic framework as the precursor.When used as a potassium-ion battery anode,it has a high reversible specific capacity(435.7 mAh g^(-1)),good rate performance(133.5 mAh g^(-1)at 10,000 m A g^(-1)),and long-term cycling stability(73.2%capacity retention after the 2500th cycle).The potassium storage mechanism of the derived carbon was explained by various electrochemical analysis methods and microstructure characterization techniques,and the relationship between the structural characteristics and electrochemical properties was researched.In a supercapacitor,the porous carbon material exhibits a specific capacitance of 307.2 F g^(-1)at a current density of 0.2 A g^(-1)in a KOH aqueous solution and achieves a retention rate of 99.88%after 10,000 cycles.The assembled symmetric supercapacitor device delivers a high energy density of 6.69 Wh kg^(-1),with a corresponding power density of 2500 W kg^(-1).In addition,density functional theory calculations further confirmed that N/S codoping can improve the adsorption capacities of potassium and hydroxyl ions in the derived carbon.Ziyi Zhu Xue Li Zhong Zhang Qi Meng Wenjia Zhang Peng Dong Yingjie Zhang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:0
20Study on the catalytic degradation of sodium lignosulfonate to aromatic aldehydes over nano-CuO:Process optimization and reaction kinetics显示文摘As one of the few renewable aromatic resources,the research of depolymerization of lignin into highvalue chemicals has attracted extensive attention in recent years.Catalytic wet aerobic oxidation(CWAO)is an effective technology to convert lignin like sodium lignosulfonate(SL),a lignin derivative,into aromatic aldehydes such as vanillin and syringaldehyde.However,how to improve the yield of aromatic aldehyde and conversion efficiency is still a challenge,and many operating conditions that significantly affect the yield of these aromatic compounds have rarely been investigated systematically.In this work,we adopted the stirred tank reactor(STR)for the CWAO process with nano-CuO as catalyst to achieve the conversion of SL into vanillin and syringaldehyde.The effect of operating conditions including reaction time,oxygen partial pressure,reaction temperature,SL concentration,rotational speed,catalyst amount,and NaOH concentration on the yield of single phenolic compound was systematically investigated.The results revealed that all these operating conditions exhibit a significant effect on the aromatic aldehyde yield.Therefore,they should be regulated in an optimal value to obtain high yield of these aldehydes.More importantly,the reaction kinetics of the lignin oxidation was explored.This work could provide basic data for the optimization and design of industrial operation of lignin oxidation.Yingjie Song Shuqi Zhong Yingjiao Li Kun Dong Yong Luo Guangwen Chu Haikui Zou Baochang Sun 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1:0
