| 3 | OsSERK1 regulates rice development but not immunity to Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae or Magnaporthe oryzae显示文摘Somatic embryogenesis receptor kinase(SERK)proteins play pivotal roles in regulation of plant development and immunity. The rice genome contains two SERK genes,OsSerk1 and OsSerk2. We previously demonstrated that OsSerk2 is required for rice Xa21-mediated resistance to Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae(Xoo) and for normal development. Here we report the molecular characterization of OsSerk1. Overexpression of OsSerk1 results in a semi-dwarf phenotype whereas silencing of OsSerk1 results in a reduced angle of the lamina joint. OsSerk1 is not required for rice resistance to Xoo or Magnaporthe oryzae. Overexpression of Os Serk1 in OsSerk2-silenced lines complements phenotypes associated with brassinosteroid(BR) signaling defects, but not the disease resistance phenotype mediated by Xa21. In yeast, OsSERK1 interacts with itself forming homodimers, and also interacts with the kinase domains of OsSERK2 and BRI1, respectively.OsSERK1 is a functional protein kinase capable of auto-phosphorylation in vitro. | 4 | Synthesis, characterization, thermodynamic and kinetic investigations on uranium(Ⅵ) adsorption using organic-inorganic composites: Zirconyl-molybdopyrophosphate-tributyl phosphate显示文摘Zirconyl-molybdopyrophosphate-tributyl phosphate(ZMPP-TBP)was a novel organic-inorganic composite adsorbent prepared by co-precipitation method and used in the adsorption of uranium from aqueous solution in batch adsorption experiments.The as-obtained product was characterized using SEM,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),XRD and BET-N2adsorption measurements.The study had been conducted to investigate the effects of solution pH,temperature,contact time,initial concentration and coexisting ions.A maximum removal of 99.31%was observed for an initial concentration 5 mg/L,at pH6.0 and an adsorbent dose of 1.0 g/L.The isothermal data were fitted with both Langmuir and Freundlich equations,but the data fitted the former better than the latter.According to the evaluation using the Langmuir equation,the maximum adsorption capacity of uranium(Ⅵ)was 196.08 mg/g at 293 K and pH 6.0.The pseudo-first-order kinetic model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model were used to describe the kinetic data,and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model was better.The thermodynamic parameterΔG was calculated,the negativeΔG values of uranium(VI)at different temperature showed that the adsorption process was spontaneous.The good reusability of ZMPP-TBP also indicated that the ZMPP-TBP was a very promising adsorbent for uranium adsorption from aqueous solution. | ZHOU ShiMin CHEN BaiHua LI Yuan GUO JingWei CAI XiaoJiaoX CAI XiaoJiao QIN Zhi BAI Jing NA Ping | 2013 | Science China Chemistry2013,56,11: | 4 |
| 5 | RNA interference-mediated silencing of vATPase subunits A and E affect survival and development of the 28-spotted ladybeetle,Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata显示文摘RNA interference(RNAi)has emerged as a powerful tool for developing novel management strategies for controlling insect pests.The 28-spotted ladybeetle,Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata is one of the most important pests attacking solanaceous plants in Asia.In this study,the potential of dietary RNAi to manage H.vigintioctopunctata was investigated using both in vitro synthesized and bacterially expressed double-stranded RNAs(dsRNAs)of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E.The expression levels of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E were higher in Malpighian tubules than in other tissue types.The silencing of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E led to significant mortality in H.vigintioctopunctata larvae.In addition,the ingestion of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E significantly deterred feeding behavior and subsequently arrested the development of H.vigintioctopunctata.Notably,the bacterially expressed dsRNAs consistently caused higher mortality in larvae and adults.Finally,the nontarget effects of the dsRNAs of H.vigintioctopunctata on the predatory ladybeetle Propylaea japonica were evaluated.P.japonica 1st instar larvae were administered vATPase A and vATPase E dsRNAs from H.vigintioctopunctata and P.japonica under the worst-case scenario,in which dsGFP served as negative control.There were significant effects of dsHvvATPase A on P.japonica at the transcriptional level but not at the organismal level,whereas dsHvvATPase E did not effect P.japonica at either the transcriptional or the organismal level.Collectively,the results of the study suggest that HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E can act as novel molecular targets for the control of H.vigintioctopunctata. | Wei Guo Mujuan Guo Chunxiao Yang Zhuoqi Liu Shimin Chen Jing Lu Baoli Qiu Youjun Zhang Xuguo Zhou Huipeng Pan | 2021 | Insect Science2021,28,6: | 3 |

| 13 | A study on the early-warning technique concerning debris flow disasters显示文摘According to the principle of the eruption of debris flows, the new torrent classification techniques are brought forward. The torrent there can be divided into 4 types such as the debris flow torrent with high destructive strength, the debris flow torrent, high sand-carrying capacity flush flood torrent and common flush flood by the techniques. In this paper, the classification indices system and the quantitative rating methods are presented. Based on torrent classification, debris flow torrent hazard zone mapping techniques by which the debris flow disaster early-warning object can be ascertained accurately are identified. The key techniques of building the debris flow disaster neural network (NN)real time forecasting model are given detailed explanations in this paper, including the determination of neural node at the input layer, the output layer and the implicit layer, the construction of knowledge source and the initial weight value and so on. With this technique, the debris flow disaster real-time forecasting neural network model is built according to the rainfall features of the historical debris flow disasters, which includes multiple rain factors such as rainfall of the disaster day, the rainfall of 15 days before the disaster day, the maximal rate of rainfall in one hour and ten minutes. It can forecast the probability, critical rainfall of eruption of the debris flows, through the real-time rainfall monitoring or weather forecasting. Based on the torrent classification and hazard zone mapping, combined with rainfall monitoring in the rainy season and real-time forecasting models, the debris flow disaster early-warning system is built. In this system, the GIS technique, the advanced international software and hardware are applied, which makes the system′s performance steady with good expansibility.
