| 1 | A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay strip for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica in domestic animals显示文摘Background:Schistosomiasis remains a major public health concern in China and an epidemiological survey has revealed that schistosome-infected bovines and goats are the main transmission sources for the disease.Therefore,development of a sensitive technique for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in domestic animals is necessary.Method:A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay(GICA)strip was developed for detecting Schistosoma japonicum in domestic animals.The colloidal gold was conjugated with recombinant streptococcal protein G(rSPG).As the test and control lines,the schistosome soluble egg antigen and rSPG,respectively,were blotted on nitrocellulose membrane.Results:The lowest detectable serum dilution was 1∶640 for schistosome-infected buffaloes.The cross-reaction rate of GICA was 14.29%with Paramphistomum sp.in buffaloes,16.67%with Haemonchus sp.in goats,and 33.33%with Orientobilharzia sp.in goats.These results were slightly lower and similar to those obtained through ELISA.Moreover,the strips for detecting S.japonicum in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats showed high sensitivity(100.00%,100.00%,100.00%,and 100.00%,respectively)and specificity(100.00%,100.00%,94.23%,and 88.64%,respectively).And the sensitivity or specificity of the GICA strips did not present any significant differences after storage for 12 months at room temperature.When compared with ELISA,the GICA strips exhibited similar sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats.Besides,only 5μl of serum are required for the test and the detection can be completed within 5 min.Conclusion:This study is the first to develop a GICA strip using gold-rSPG conjugate for the diagnosing of schistosomiasis in domestic animals,and preliminary results showed that the developed strip may be suitable for large-scale screening of schistosomiasis in endemic areas. | Rui Xu Jintao Feng Yang Hong Chao Lv Dengyun Zhao Jiaojiao Lin Ke Lu Hao Li Jinming Liu Xiaodan Cao Tao Wang Jinli Zai Zhaozhe Wang Bingguang Jia Qian Han Chuangang Zhu | 2017 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017，6，1： | 12 |

| 5 | Multifractal characteristics of shale and tight sandstone pore structures with nitrogen adsorption and nuclear magnetic resonance显示文摘Based on the experiments of nitrogen gas adsorption(N_2 GA) and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),the multifractal characteristics of pore structures in shale and tight s andstone from the Chang 7 member of Trias sic Yanchang Formation in Ordos Basin,NW China,are investigated.The multifractal spectra obtained from N2 GA and NMR are analyzed with pore throat structure parameters.The results show that the pore size distributions obtained from N2 GA and NMR are different,and the obtained multifractal characteristics vary from each other.The specific surface and total pore volume obtained by N2 GA experiment have correlations with multifractal characteristics.For the core samples with the similar specific surface,the value of the deviation of multifractal spectra Rd increases with the increase in the proportion of large pores.When the proportion of macropores is small,the Rd value will increase with the increase in specific surface.The multifractal characteristics of pore structures are influenced by specific surface area,average pore size and adsorption volume measured from N2 GA experiment.The multifractal characteristic parameters of tight sandstone measured from NMR spectra are larger than those of shale,which may be caused by the differences in pore size distribution and porosity of shale and tight sandstone. | Fu-Yong Wang Kun Yang Yun Zai | 2020 | Petroleum Science2020，17，5： | 4 |
| 6 | The LRXs-RALFs-FER module controls plant growth and salt stress responses by modulating multiple plant hormones显示文摘Salt stress is a major environmental factor limiting plant growth and productivity.We recently discovered an important new salt tolerance pathway,where the cell wall leucine-rich repeat extensins LRX3/4/5,the RAPID ALKALINIZATION FACTOR(RALF)peptides RALF22/23 and receptor-like kinase FERONIA(FER)function as a module to simultaneously regulate plant growth and salt stress tolerance.However,the intracellular signaling pathways that are regulated by the extracellular LRX3/4/5-RALF22/23-FER module to coordinate growth,cell wall integrity and salt stress responses are still unknown.Here,we report that the LRX3/4/5-RALF22/23-FER module negatively regulates the levels of jasmonic acid(JA),salicylic acid(SA)and abscisic acid(ABA).Blocking JA pathway rescues the dwarf phenotype of the lrx345 and fer-4mutants,while disruption of ABA biosynthesis suppresses the salt-hypersensitivity of these mutants.Many salt stress-responsive genes display abnormal expression patterns in the lrx345 and fer-4 mutants,as well as in the wild type plants treated with epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG),an inhibitor of pectin methylesterases,suggesting cell wall integrity as a critical factor that determines the expression pattern of stress-responsive genes.Production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)is constitutively increased in the lrx345 and fer-4mutants,and inhibition of ROS accumulation suppresses the salt-hypersensitivity of these mutants.Together,our work provides strong evidence that the LRX3/4/5-RALF22/23-FER module controls plant growth and salt stress responses by regulating hormonal homeostasis and ROS accumulation. | Chunzhao Zhao Wei Jiang Omar Zayed Xin Liu Kai Tang Wenfeng Nie Yali Li Shaojun Xie Yuan Li Tiandan Long Linlin Liu Yingfang Zhu Yang Zhao Jian-Kang Zhu | 2021 | National Science Review2021，8，1： | 3 |

The respective addition of 1 [ N (o hydroxybenzylidene)amino]tetradecane(TDCA), 1,2 di[ N (o hydroxybenzylidene)amino]cyclohexane(DACH), 4 [ N (o hydroxybenzylidene)amino]benzoic acid(PABA), 4 nitro[ N (o hydroxybenzylidene)]aniline(APNA) or N (o hydroxybenzylidene)aniline(APA) can all prolong the inhibition period of hemolysis, indicating that the above Schiff bases play an antioxidative role in free radical induced hemolysis. It can be concluded that Schiff base with an alkyl group or a conjugated system in the molecule protect red blood cells against free radical induced hemolysis efficiently.
