| 1 | Comparison Test on Adaptability of Six Medicago sativa (Alfalfa) Varieties in Guangxi显示文摘In order to screen the Medicago sativa(alfalfa)varieties suitable for planting in Guangxi,six domestic and foreign heat-resistant alfalfa varieties,namely WL903,WL712,WL525HQ,59N59,Elite 9 and Longwei 6010,were selected and tested for growth performance,nutritional value and over-summer rate by the random block method.The results showed that the alfalfa varieties with better plant height and fresh grass yield were 59N59 and WL903,which showed the plant heights reaching 62.01 and 62.53 cm,respectively,and the fresh grass yields up to 40.93 and 38.38 t/hm 2,respectively,exhibiting extremely significant differences from the poorly performing Longwei 6010(P<0.01).The nutritional value of each tested variety was good,and the crude protein content was more than 20%.Among them,Elite 9 had a crude protein content as high as 28.43%.The over-summer rates of the six alfalfa varieties were all higher than 75%.It showed that the alfalfa varieties with fast growth,high yield,high nutritional value and high over-summer rate in this experimental area were 59N59 and WL903,which are suitable as the first varieties for planting in Guangxi. | Jinhua QIU Yilong HUANG Fanquan ZENG Jinyi WEI Na YAO | 2020 | Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,4: | 1 |
| 2 | Effect of Pennisetum purpureum Schum cv. Guiminyin on Growth Performance of Geese显示文摘To explore the feeding value of Pennisetum purpureum Schum cv. Guiminyin in production of geese,effects of feeding the green fodder on growth performance of geese were studied,while P. purpureum K. Scbumacb × P. typhoideum Rich cv. Reyan No. 4 was used as control. The results showed that P. purpureum Schum cv. Guiminyin had high biomass and good nutritional quality,and geese intake of the forage was greater than that of the control variety. The average daily gain was(51. 45 ± 3. 49) g/goose,which was increased by 13. 36% compared with control; feed gain ratio was(4. 93 ± 0. 35) %,and feed consumption was reduced by 19. 47% compared with control( P < 0. 05). Thus,it could be concluded that feeding geese with P. purpureum Schum cv. | 3 | Effects of Herba Picriae Extract on Growth Performance and Immune Organ Index of Guangxi Partridge Chickens显示文摘[Objectives]The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of dietary supplementation of Herba Picriae extract on the growth performance and immune organ index of Guangxi partridge chickens.[Methods]A total of 500 one-day-old Guangxi partridge chickens were selected and randomly divided into five groups,five replicates for each group and 20 chickens for each replicate.Groups A,B and C were treatment groups,in which 0.70%,0.35%and 0.175%of Herba Picriae extract was added to the basal diet,respectively.Group D was a positive drug control group,in which 0.01%colistin sulfate premix was supplemented.Group E was a blank control group,in which the chickens were fed the basal diet.The experimental period was 105 d.During the experiment,five chickens were randomly selected from each group on days 21,35 and 49,respectively for the measurement of immune organ index.[Results]When the chickens were fed basal diet supplemented with 0.175%of Herba Picriae extract,their daily body weight gain increased significantly from day 22 to day 35 and from day 71 to day 105 and tended to increase from day 1 to day 21,from day 36 to day 49,and from day 50 to day 70,with a range of 7.37%-8.72%.Dietary supplementation of 0.70%and 0.175%of Herba Picriae extract significantly promoted the growth and development of Fabricius bursae in the experimental chickens.[Conclusions]Dietary supplementation of 0.175%of Herba Picriae extract improved the growth performance and feed intake,as well as 21-d-old bursal index of the experimental chickens. | Cui YANG Xiaoguang LIAO Siqian WU Huofu WAN Jing SHI Huihui CAO Linling ZHAO Dawei LAI Fanquan ZENG Fulin WANG Jiahuang YANG Zhuyue WU | 2020 | Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,4: | 0 |
| 4 | Feeding Effect of Codariocalyx gyroides on Meat Rabbits显示文摘To explore the feeding effect of Codariocalyx gyroides on meat rabbits, 30 healthy meat rabbits at the age of 50 days were randomly divided into five groups(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ), six rabbits each group. Rabbits in experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ were fed with different quantita-tive complete formula feed and unlimited fresh grass of C. gyroides, and those in group Ⅴ(control group) were fed with complete formula feed. The indicators such as feed intake and growth performance were measured after 60 d. The results showed that the gaining effects of meat rabbits in ex-perimental groups Ⅳ and Ⅲ were most obvious, and the daily gain reached(25.75 ±3.00) and(24.50±1.95) g, 20.72% and 14.86% higher than those in control group, respectively.
