| 2 | Genome wide association study identifies SNPs associated with fatty acid composition in Chinese Wagyu cattle显示文摘Background: Fatty acids are important traits that affect meat quality and nutritive values in beef cattle. Detection of genetic variants for fatty acid composition can help to elucidate the genetic mechanism underpinning these traits and promote the improvement of fatty acid profiles. In this study, we performed a genome-wide association study(GWAS) on fatty acid composition using high-density single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) arrays in Chinese Wagyu cattle.Results: In total, we detected 15 and 8 significant genome-wide SNPs for individual fatty acids and fatty acid groups in Chinese Wagyu cattle, respectively. Also, we identified nine candidate genes based on 100 kb regions around associated SNPs. Four SNPs significantly associated with C14:1 cis-9 were embedded with stearoyl-CoA desaturase(SCD), while three SNPs in total were identified for C22:6 n-3 within Phospholipid scramblase family member 5(PLSCR5), Cytoplasmic linker associated protein 1(CLASP1), and Chymosin(CYM). Notably, we found the top candidate SNP within SCD can explain ~ 7.37% of phenotypic variance for C14:1 cis-9.Moreover, we detected several blocks with high LD in the 100 kb region around SCD. In addition, we found three significant SNPs within a 100 kb region showing pleiotropic effects related to multiple FA groups(PUFA,n-6, and PUFA/SFA), which contains BAI1 associated protein 2 like 2(BAIAP2 L2), MAF bZIP transcription factor F(MAFF),and transmembrane protein 184 B(TMEM184 B).Conclusions: Our study identified several significant SNPs and candidate genes for individual fatty acids and fatty acid groups in Chinese Wagyu cattle, and these findings will further assist the design of breeding programs for meat quality in cattle. | Zezhao Wang Bo Zhu Hong Niu Wengang Zhang Ling Xu Lei Xu Yan Chen Lupei Zhang Xue Gao Huijiang Gao Shengli Zhang Lingyang Xu Junya Li | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,2: | 4 |

| 4 | Source-field-plated Ga_2O_3 MOSFET with a breakdown voltage of 550 V显示文摘Ga_2O_3 metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors(MOSFETs) with high-breakdown characteristics were fabricated on a homoepitaxial n-typed β-Ga_2O_3 film, which was grown by metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) on an Fedoped semi-insulating(010) Ga_2O_3 substrate. The structure consisted of a 400 nm unintentionally doped(UID) Ga_2O_3 buffer layer and an 80 nm Si-doped channel layer. A high k HfO_2 gate dielectric film formed by atomic layer deposition was employed to reduce the gate leakage. Moreover, a source-connected field plate was introduced to enhance the breakdown characteristics. The drain saturation current density of the fabricated device reached 101 mA/mm at V_(gs) of 3 V. The off-state current was as low as 7.1 ×10^(-11) A/mm, and the drain current I_(ON)/I_(OFF) ratio reached 10~9. | 16 | Receptivity and structural sensitivity study of the wide vaneless diffuser flow with adjoint method显示文摘The stability of the flow in the vaneless diffuser of a centrifugal compressor is studied with the linear theory. The characteristics of direct and adjoint perturbation modes are investigated,and the receptivity of the instability mode to momentum forcing or mass injection is identified based on the adjoint modes. Analysis shows that the perturbation with the largest amplitude is located at the outlet of the vaneless diffuser, while the highest-receptivity region is located in the middle of the vaneless diffuser along the radial direction. The large difference between the direct and adjoint modes indicates that the instability mechanism cannot be identified from a study of either eigenmode separately. Therefore, the structural sensitivity analysis is adopted to study the feedback of the instability mode. | 19 | A statistical model for the design of rotary HTS flux pumps based on deep-learning neuron network显示文摘Rotory high temperature superconducting(HTS)flux pumps can consistently generate a DC voltage by rotating magnets over superconducting tapes,and thus energize the circuit if a closed loop is formed.The voltage output is a crucial factor to reflect the performance of such an HTS flux pump,which is determined by a set of design specifications,and some of them have been investigated extensively in the current literature.However,no work has been done yet to study the HTS dynamo output voltage by efficiently integrating all the design parameters together.In this paper,a well‐trained deep‐learning neuron network(DNN)with back‐propagation algorithms has been put forward and validated.The proposed DNN is capable of quantifying the output voltage of an HTS dynamo instantly with an overall accuracy of approximately 98%with respect to the simulated values with all design parameters explicitly specified.The model possesses a powerful ability to characterize the output behavior of HTS dynamos by considering multiple design parameters,e.g.,airgap,superconductor tape width,operating frequency,remanent flux density,rotor radius,and permanent magnet width,which have covered all the typical design considerations.The output characteristics of an HTS dynamo against each of the design parameters have been successfully demonstrated using this model.Compared to conventional time‐consuming finite element method(FEM)based numerical models,the proposed DNN model has the advantages of automatic learning,fast computation,as well as strong programmability.Therefore the DNN model can greatly facilitate the design and optimization process for HTS dynamos.An executable application has been developed accordingly based on the DNN model,which is believed to provide a useful tool for learners and designers of HTS dynamos. | Zezhao Wen Hongye Zhang Mengyuan Tian Francesco Grilli Markus Mueller | 2022 | Superconductivity2022,,3: | 0 |
| 20 | The eQTL colocalization and transcriptome‑wide association study identify potentially causal genes responsible for economic traits in Simmental beef cattle显示文摘Background A detailed understanding of genetic variants that affect beef merit helps maximize the efficiency of breeding for improved production merit in beef cattle.To prioritize the putative variants and genes,we ran a com-prehensive genome-wide association studies(GWAS)analysis for 21 agronomic traits using imputed whole-genome variants in Simmental beef cattle.Then,we applied expression quantitative trait loci(eQTL)mapping between the genotype variants and transcriptome of three tissues(longissimus dorsi muscle,backfat,and liver)in 120 cattle.Results We identified 1,580 association signals for 21 beef agronomic traits using GWAS.We then illuminated 854,498 cis-eQTLs for 6,017 genes and 46,970 trans-eQTLs for 1,903 genes in three tissues and built a synergistic network by integrating transcriptomics with agronomic traits.These cis-eQTLs were preferentially close to the transcription start site and enriched in functional regulatory regions.We observed an average of 43.5%improvement in cis-eQTL discovery using multi-tissue eQTL mapping.Fine-mapping analysis revealed that 111,192,and 194 variants were most likely to be causative to regulate gene expression in backfat,liver,and muscle,respectively.The transcriptome-wide association studies identified 722 genes significantly associated with 11 agronomic traits.Via the colocalization and Mendelian randomization analyses,we found that eQTLs of several genes were associated with the GWAS signals of agronomic traits in three tissues,which included genes,such as NADSYN1,NDUFS3,LTF and KIFC2 in liver,GRAMD1C,TMTC2 and ZNF613 in backfat,as well as TIGAR,NDUFS3 and L3HYPDH in muscle that could serve as the candidate genes for economic traits.Conclusions The extensive atlas of GWAS,eQTL,fine-mapping,and transcriptome-wide association studies aid in the suggestion of potentially functional variants and genes in cattle agronomic traits and will be an invaluable source for genomics and breeding in beef cattle. | Wentao Cai Yapeng Zhang Tianpeng Chang Zezhao Wang Bo Zhu Yan Chen Xue Gao Lingyang Xu Lupei Zhang Huijiang Gao Jiuzhou Song Junya Li | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,5: | 0 |
