| 1 | Microvesicle-delivery miR-150 promotes tumorigenesis by up-regulating VEGF,and the neutralization of miR-150 attenuate tumor development显示文摘Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)mostly exhibit M2-like(alternatively activated)properties and play posi-tive roles in angiogenesis and tumorigenesis.Vascular en-dothelial growth factor(VEGF)is a key angiogenic factor.During tumor development,TAMs secrete VEGF and other factors to promote angiogenesis;thus,anti-treatment against TAMs and VEGF can repress cancer development,which has been demonstrated in clinical trials and on an experimental level.In the present work,we show that miR-150 is an oncomir because of its promotional effect on VEGF.MiR-150 targets TAMs to up-regulate their secre-tion of VEGF in vitro.With the utilization of cell-derived vesicles,named microvesicles(MVs),we transferred an-tisense RNA targeted to miR-150 into mice and found that the neutralization of miR-150 down-regulates miR-150 and VEGF levels in vivo and attenuates angiogenesis.There-fore,we proposed the therapeutic potential of neutralizing miR-150 to treat cancer and demonstrated a novel,natu-ral,microvesicle-based method for the transfer of nucleic acids. | Yuchen Liu Luming Zhao Dameng Li Yuan Yin Chen-Yu Zhang Jing Li Yujing Zhang | 2013 | Protein & Cell2013,4,12: | 18 |
| 2 | Carbothermic reduction of vanadium titanomagnetite with the assistance of sodium carbonate显示文摘The carbothermic reduction of vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate(VTC)with the assistance of Na_(2)CO_(3)was conducted in an argon atmosphere between 1073 and 1473 K.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to investigate the phase transformations during the reaction.By investigating the reaction between VTC and Na_(2)CO_(3),it was concluded that molten Na_(2)CO_(3)broke the structure of titanomagnetite by combining with the acidic oxides(Fe_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),and SiO_(2))to form a Na-rich melt and release FeO and MgO.Therefore,Na_(2)CO_(3)accelerated the reduction rate.In addition,adding Na_(2)CO_(3)also benefited the agglomeration of iron particles and the slag–metal separation by decreasing the viscosity of the slag.Thus,Na_(2)CO_(3)assisted carbothermic reduction is a promising method for treating VTC at low temperatures. | Luming Chen Yulan Zhen Guohua Zhang Desheng Chen Lina Wang Hongxin Zhao Fancheng Meng Tao Qi | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,2: | 5 |
| 3 | Nickel catalysts supported on MgO with different specific surface area for carbon dioxide reforming of methane显示文摘In this paper, three kinds of MgO with different specific surface area were prepared, and their effects on the catalytic performance of nickel catalysts for the carbon dioxide reforming of methane were investigated. The results showed that MgO support with the higher specific surface area led to the higher dispersion of the active metal, which resulted in the higher initial activity. On the other hand, the specific surface area of MgO materials might not be the dominant factor for the basicity of support to chemisorb and activate CO2, which was another important factor for the performance of catalysts. | 6 | Spatial and temporal variabilities of rainstorms over China under climate change显示文摘Rainstorms are one of the extreme rainfall events that cause serious disasters,such as urban flooding and mountain torrents.Traditional studies have used rain gauge observations to analyze rainstorm events,but relevant information is usually missing in gauge-sparse areas.Satellite-derived precipitation datasets serve as excellent supplements or substitutes for the gauge observations.By developing a grid-based rainstorm-identification tool,we used the Tropical Rainfall Measurement Mission(TRMM)Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis(TMPA)time series product to reveal the spatial and temporal variabilities of rainstorms over China during 1998–2017.Significant patterns of both increasing and decreasing rainstorm occurrences were detected,with no spatially uniform trend being observed across the whole country.There was an increase in the area being affected by rainstorms during the 20-year period,with rainstorm centers shifting along the southwest–northeast direction.Rainstorm occurrence was found to be correlated with local total precipitation.By comparing rainstorm occurrence with climate variables such as the El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation and Pacific Decadal Oscillation,we also found that climate change was likely to be the primary reason for rainstorm occurrence in China.This study complements previous studies that used gauge observations by providing a better understanding of the spatiotemporal dynamics of China’s rainstorms. | HUANG Chang ZHANG Shiqiang DONG Linyao WANG Zucheng LI Linyi CUI Luming | 2021 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2021,31,4: | 3 |
| 7 | Melon short internode(CmSi)encodes an ERECTA-like receptor kinase regulating stem elongation through auxin signaling显示文摘Plant height is one of the most important agronomic traits that directly determines plant architecture,and compact or dwarf plants can allow for increased planting density and land utilization as well as increased lodging resistance and economic yield.At least four dwarf/semidwarf genes have been identified in different melon varieties,but none of them have been cloned,and little is known about the molecular mechanisms underlying internode elongation in melon.Here,we report map-based cloning and functional characterization of the first semidwarf gene short internode(Cmsi)in melon,which encodes an ERECTA-like receptor kinase regulating internode elongation.Spatial-temporal expression analyses revealed that CmSI exhibited high expression in the vascular bundle of the main stem during internode elongation.The expression level of CmSI was positively correlated with stem length in the different melon varieties examined.Ectopic expression of CmSI in Arabidopsis and cucumber suggested CmSI as a positive regulator of internode elongation in both species.Phytohormone quantitation and transcriptome analysis showed that the auxin content and the expression levels of a number of genes involved in the auxin signaling pathway were altered in the semidwarf mutant,including several well-known auxin transporters,such as members of the ABCB family and PINFORMED genes.A melon polar auxin transport protein CmPIN2 was identified by protein–protein interaction assay as physically interacting with CmSI to modulate auxin signaling.Thus,CmSI functions in an auxin-dependent regulatory pathway to control internode elongation in melon.Our findings revealed that the ERECTA family gene CmSI regulates stem elongation in melon through auxin signaling,which can directly affect polar auxin transport. | Sen Yang Kaige Zhang Huayu Zhu Xiaojing Zhang Wenkai Yan Nana Xu Dongming Liu Jianbin Hu Yufeng Wu Yiqun Weng Luming Yang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2 |
| 8 | Electrical resistivity-temperature characteristics enhancement of insulating cross-linked polyethylene composites by incorporating positive temperature coefficient particles with different Curie temperatures显示文摘Incorporating positive temperature coefficient(PTC)ceramic particles into polymers provides a prospective alternative solution for suppressing severe electric field distortions caused by negative temperature coefficient(NTC)of electrical resistivity within polymer insulation in high voltage direct current cable.The effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on the inhibition of the NTC effect of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)is investigated in this study.Positive temperature coefficient particles with varied Curie temperatures are surface-modified and melt blending with XLPE.The modified particles are dispersed on averagely in the matrix.The electrical resistivity,space charge behaviour,and direct current(DC)electrical breakdown strength of the samples are investigated at different temperatures,exploring the effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on suppressing the NTC effect of XLPE.It is demonstrated that the reduction in Curie temperature can further suppress the NTC effect of XLPE,enhance the DC strength at elevated temperatures,and inhibit the internal space charge accumulation.The reduction in the Curie temperatures means that the initiation of the PTC effect advances,exhibiting a higher potential barrier and inhibiting the NTC effect more effectively.This work may give a reference for improving the temperature stability of DC properties for XLPE cable insulation. | Guimin Jiang Yuanxiang Zhou Chenyuan Teng Yunxiao Zhang Xin Huang Lei Xue Luming Zhou | 2023 | High Voltage2023,8,1: | 2 |
| 9 | Analysis of the correlation between the longitudinal trajectory of SOFA scores and prognosis in patients with sepsis at 72 hour after admission based on group trajectory modeling显示文摘Background:To identify the distinct trajectories of the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)scores at 72 h for patients with sepsis in the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care(MIMIC)-IV database and determine their effects on mortality and adverse clinical outcomes.Methods:A retrospective cohort study was carried out involving patients with sepsis from the MIMIC-IV database.Group-based trajectory modeling(GBTM)was used to identify the distinct trajectory groups for the SOFA scores in patients with sepsis in the intensive care unit(ICU).The Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to investigate the relationship between the longitudinal change trajectory of the SOFA score and mortality and adverse clinical outcomes.Results:A total of 16,743 patients with sepsis were included in the cohort.The median survival age was 66 years(interquartile range:54-76 years).The 7-day and 28-day in-hospital mortality were 6.0%and 17.6%,respectively.Five different trajectories of SOFA scores according to the model fitting standard were determined:group 1(32.8%),group 2(30.0%),group 3(17.6%),group 4(14.0%)and group 5(5.7%).Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses showed that,for different clinical outcomes,trajectory group 1 was used as the reference,while trajectory groups 2-5 were all risk factors associated with the outcome(P<0.001).Subgroup analysis revealed an interaction between the two covariates of age and mechanical ventilation and the different trajectory groups of patients’SOFA scores(P<0.05).Conclusion:This approach may help identify various groups of patients with sepsis,who may be at different levels of risk for adverse health outcomes,and provide subgroups with clinical importance. | Rui Yang Didi Han Luming Zhang Tao Huang Fengshuo Xu Shuai Zheng Haiyan Yin Jun Lyu | 2022 | Journal of Intensive Medicine2022,2,1: | 1 |
| 10 | Hierarchically porous Fe/N/S/C nanospheres with high-content of Fe-Nx for enhanced ORR and Zn-air battery performance显示文摘Heteroatom-doped carbon-based transition-metal single-atom catalysts(SACs) are promising electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). Herein, with the aid of hierarchically porous silica as hard template, a facile and general melting perfusion and mesopore-confined pyrolysis method was reported to prepare single-atomic Fe/N–S-doped carbon catalyst(FeNx/NC-S) with hierarchically porous structure and well-defined morphology. The FeNx/NC-S exhibited excellent ORR activity with a half-wave potential(E_(1/2)) of 0.92 V, and a lower overpotential of 320 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)for OER under alkaline condition. The remarkable electrocatalysis performance can be attributed to the hierarchically porous carbon nanospheres with S doping and high content of Fe-Nx sites(up to 3.7 wt% of Fe), resulting from the nano-confinement effect of the hierarchically porous silica spheres(NKM-5) during the pyrolysis process. The rechargeable Zn-air battery with FeNx/NC-S as a cathode catalyst demonstrated a superior power density of 194.5 mW cm-2charge–discharge stability. | 20 | Adjacent acid sites cooperatively catalyze fructose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in a new, facile pathway显示文摘To study the effect of adjacent hydroxyl to the active sites, several acid catalysts, i.e. substituted benzoic acids with adjacent carboxyl are employed in the fructose dehydration to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF).Experimental results reveal that Br?nsted acid sites with adjacent carboxyl present higher catalytic ability than isolated ones. Computational results suggest that the adjacent sites lead to co-interaction on fructose, corresponding more stable transition state and faster HMF formation rate.
