| 1 | Terrestrial carbon sinks in China and around the world and their contribution to carbon neutrality显示文摘Enhancing the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink(referred to as terrestrial C sink) is an important way to slow down the continuous increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) concentration and to achieve carbon neutrality target.To better understand the characteristics of terrestrial C sinks and their contribution to carbon neutrality,this review summarizes major progress in terrestrial C budget researches during the past decades,clarifies spatial patterns and drivers of terrestrial C sources and sinks in China and around the world,and examines the role of terrestrial C sinks in achieving carbon neutrality target.According to recent studies,the global terrestrial C sink has been increasing from a source of (-0.2±0.9) Pg C yr^(-1)(1 Pg=1015g)in the 1960s to a sink of (1.9±1.1) Pg C yr^(-1) in the 2010s.By synthesizing the published data,we estimate terrestrial C sink of 0.20–0.25 Pg C yr^(-1) in China during the past decades,and predict it to be 0.15–0.52 Pg C yr^(-1) by 2060.The terrestrial C sinks are mainly located in the mid-and high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere,while tropical regions act as a weak C sink or source.The C balance differs much among ecosystem types:forest is the major C sink;shrubland,wetland and farmland soil act as C sinks;and whether the grassland functions as C sink or source remains unclear.Desert might be a C sink,but the magnitude and the associated mechanisms are still controversial.Elevated atmospheric CO_(2) concentration,nitrogen deposition,climate change,and land cover change are the main drivers of terrestrial C sinks,while other factors such as fires and aerosols would also affect ecosystem C balance.The driving factors of terrestrial C sink differ among regions.Elevated CO_(2) concentration and climate change are major drivers of the C sinks in North America and Europe,while afforestation and ecological restoration are additionally important forcing factors of terrestrial C sinks in China.For future studies,we recommend the necessity for intensive and long-term ecosystem C monitoring over broad geographic scale to improve terrestrial biosphere models for accurately evaluating terrestrial C budget and its dynamics under various climate change and policy scenarios. | Yuanhe Yang Yue Shi Wenjuan Sun Jinfeng Chang Jianxiao Zhu Leiyi Chen Xin Wang Yanpei Guo Hongtu Zhang Lingfei Yu Shuqing Zhao Kang Xu Jiangling Zhu Haihua Shen Yuanyuan Wang Yunfeng Peng Xia Zhao Xiangping Wang Huifeng Hu Shiping Chen Mei Huang Xuefa Wen Shaopeng Wang Biao Zhu Shuli Niu Zhiyao Tang Lingli Liu Jingyun Fang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5: | 32 |
| 2 | Fission-track-age records of the Mesozoic tectonic-events in the southwest margin of the Ordos Basin, China显示文摘Based on the analysis of apatite and zircon fission track (FT), the FT age distribution and the peck-ages of the Mesozoic tectonic events in the southwest margin of the Ordos Basin (OB) were discussed. (1) The early event mainly occurred at 213-194 Ma with a peck-age of 205 Ma, and corresponded to the tectonic uplift and the mega-clastic deposit in the southwest OB during the Late Triassic. (2) The middle event included at least two episodes. One was at 165-141 Ma with a peck-age of 150 Ma, and the other was at 115-113 Ma with a peck-age of 114 Ma, corresponding to the over-thrusting and the mega- clastic deposits in the southwest OB during the Late Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous. (3) The late event mainly demonstrated the regional uplifting and included at least two episodes. One was at 100-81 Ma with a peck-age of 90 Ma, and the other was at 66-59 Ma with a peck-age of 63 Ma. | 5 | Effect of kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and stasis-removing recipes on adhesion molecule expression of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells from chronic aplastic anemia patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and stasis-removing recipes on adhesion molecule expression of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) from patients with chronic aplastic anemia(CAA).METHODS:We used threeTraditional Chinese Medicine recipes,namely a kidney-reinforcing recipe(KRR),blood-activating and stasis-removing recipe(BASRR),and kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and stasis-removing recipe(KRBASRR),and a normal saline control to prepare herbal medicine serum in Sprague Dawley rats.Thirty CAA patients were enrolled in the experimental group,including 17 kidney-Yang deficient patients and 13 kidney-Yin deficient patients.Ten healthy individuals were included in the control group.MSCs were isolated from bone marrow samples,and the cell density was observed to measure their proliferation ability by microscopy on days 2,7,and 14 after isolation.In addition,the expression of adhesion molecules of bone marrow MSCs(CD106,CD49d,CD31 and CD44) were detected by flow cytometry after 48 h of treatment with the four different herbal medicine serums.RESULTS:The proliferation of MSCs from kidney-Yang deficient and kidney-Yin deficient patients was weaker than that of MSCs from the control group.The expression of all adhesion molecules of bone marrow MSCs from CAA patients was obviously lower than that in the control group(P< 0.01).The expression of CD49d and CD31 in MSCs from patients with a kidney-Yin deficiency was lower than in those with a kidney-yang deficiency(P< 0.05 and P<0.01,respectively).For kidney-Yang deficient patients,CD31 expression in the KRBASRR group was significantly higher than that in the BASRR group(P<0.01),while CD44 in the KRBASRR group was significantly higher than that in both KRR and BASRR groups(P<0.01).For kidney-Yin deficient patients,CD106 and CD49d expression in the KRBASRR group was obviously higher than that in the KRR group(P<0.05),while CD31 and CD44 expression in the KRBASRR group was significantly higher than that in both KRR and BASRR groups(P< 0.05 and P<0.01,respectively).CONCLUSION:The bone marrow microenvironment in CAA patients is abnormal.The effect of KRBASRR may be better than that of KRR and BASRR for kidney-Yang deficient and kidney-Yin deficient patients by improving the expression levels of MSC adhesion molecules. | Baodong Ye Dan Chen Dijiong Wu Xiangping Wu Xiang Zhang Yuhong Zhou Yiping Shen Keding Shao Qinhong Yu | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4: | 12 |

| 7 | Periodicity and map for discovery of new ionic liquids显示文摘There is virtually no limit in the number of ionic liquids. How to select proper ones or discover new ones with desirable properties in such a large pool of ionic liquids? It has become a bottleneck in the researches and applications of ionic liquids. Mendeleev’s periodic law states that the properties of the elements vary periodically. Whether the similar regularity exists among ionic or mo-lecular fragments of compounds is an interesting topic. In this work, we attempted to establish a pe-riodicity and draw a “map” of ionic liquids for providing definite guidance to discover, design, and se-lect the proper ionic liquids rather than trial-and-error. | 8 | Speciation analysis of metals (Tl,Cd and Pb) in Tl-containing pyrite and its cinder from Yunfu Mine,China,by ICP-MS with sequential extraction显示文摘The speciation of heavy metals such as thallium,cadmium and lead existing in pyrite and pyrite cinder was analyzed by ICP-MS with a sequential extraction procedure.The distribution patterns of these metals including exchangeable,reducible,oxidizable and residual fractions were obtained.Tl,Cd and Pb in pyrite and pyrite cinder samples from each extraction step were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS).Under the optimized instrumental conditions,detection limits of Tl,Cd and Pb in different matrices were within the range of 0.006-0.07 μg/L,and the relative standard deviations ranged from 0.8% to 1.2%.The accuracy of Tl,Cd and Pb determination was checked by analyzing two certified reference materials.The results demonstrate that trace Tl,Cd and Pb in the samples can be accurately determined.The sequential extraction results revealed that the percent contents of Tl,Cd and Pb in exchangeable,reducible and oxidizable fractions in pyrite cinder are different from those in pyrite and in pyrite cinder.Tl,Cd and Pb mostly are distributed in residual fraction.Therefore,the mobility of metals in pyrite is higher than that in pyrite cinder.Although distributions of Tl,Cd and Pb in the non-residual fraction are not dominant in pyrite cinder,the total concentrations of them could not be ignored.Consequently,attention must be paid to the risk of potential pollution by pyrite cinder. | WANG Chunlin CHEN Yongheng PAN Jianyang ZHANG Ping QI Jianying LIU Juan LI Xiangping WANG Jin | 2010 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2010,29,1: | 9 |
| 9 | An Efficient and Stable Ionic Liquid System for Synthesis of Ethylene Glycol via Hydrolysis of Ethylene Carbonate显示文摘An ionic liquid system of [Bmim]X/[Bmim]OH(X Cl,BF4,and PF6,) was developed for the hydroly-sis of ethylene carbonate to ethylene glycol. The important parameters,such as the variety of ionic liquids,molar ratio of [Bmim]X to [Bmim]OH,amount of ionic liquid,molar ratio of water to ethylene carbonate,reaction tem-perature,pressure and reaction time,were investigated systematically. Excellent yield(>93%) and high selectivity(99.5%) of ethylene glycol were achieved. | 10 | Short-term effects of biochar and gypsum on soil hydraulic properties and sodicity in a saline-alkali soil显示文摘Salt and sodicity of saline-alkali soil adversely affect the construction of ecological landscapes and negatively impact crop production.The reclamation potential of biochar(BC,wheat straw biochar applied at\%by weight),gypsum(G,0.4%by weight),and gypsum coupled with biochar(GBC)was examined in this laboratory-based study by evaluating their effects on a saline-alkali soil(silt loam)with no amendment as a control(CK).Saline ice and fresh water(simulated rainfall)were leached through soil columns to investigate changes in salt content,sodium adsorption ratio(SAR),alkalinity,and pH of the leachate and the soil.Results showed that saturated water content and field water capacity(FWC)significantly increased by 4.4%and 5.6%,respectively,in the BC treatment after a short incubation time.Co-application of biochar and gypsum(GBC)increased soil saturated hydraulic conductivity(Ks)by 58.4%,which was also significantly higher than the sole addition.Electrical conductivity(EC)of the leachate decreased sharply after saline ice leaching;subsequent freshwater leaching accelerated the removal of the rest of the salts,irrespective of the amendment application.However,the application of gypsum(G and GB)significantly enhanced the removal of exchangeable Na^+and reduced leachate SAR.After leaching,the soil salt content decreased significantly for all treatments.The application of gypsum resulted in a significantly lower soil pH,exchangeable sodium percentage(ESP),SAR,and alkalinity values than those recorded for the CK and BC treatments.These results demonstrated that the co-application of gypsum and biochar could improve saline-alkali soil hydraulic conductivity and decrease leaching-induced sodicity over a short period. | Yue ZHANG Jingsong YANG Rongjiang YAO Xiangping WANG Wenping XIE | 2020 | Pedosphere2020,30,5: | 6 |

| 12 | CO_2 absorption with ionic liquids at elevated temperatures显示文摘CO_2 capture with ionic liquids(ILs) has attracted many attentions, and most works focused on absorption ability at ambient temperatures, while seldom research was concerned at elevated temperatures.This not only limits the CO_2 absorption application at elevated temperature, but also the determination of the operation condition of the CO_2 desorption generally occurring at higher temperature. This work mainly reported CO_2 solubilities in ILs at elevated temperatures and related properties were also provided. 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide([CnMIm][Tf_2N]) ILs were selected as physical absorbents for CO_2 capture in this work due to their relative higher CO_2 absorption capacities and good thermal stabilities. The long-term stability tests showed that [CnMIm][Tf_2N] is thermally stable at 393.15 K for long time. CO_2 solubilities in [CnMIm][Tf_2N] were systematically determined at temperatures from 353.15 K to 393.15 K. It demonstrated that CO_2 solubility obviously increases with the increase of pressure while slightly decreases with increase of temperature. As the length of alkyl chain on the cation increases, CO_2 solubility in ILs increases. | 13 | Comprehensive Design of the High-Sulfur-Loading Li–S Battery Based on MXene Nanosheets显示文摘The lithium-sulfur battery is the subject of much recent attention due to the high theoretical energy density,but practical applications are challenged by fast decay owing to polysulfide shuttle and electrode architecture degradation.A comprehensive study of the sulfur host microstructure design and the cell architecture construction based on the MXene phase(Ti3C2Tx nanosheets) is performed,aiming at realize stable cycling performance of Li-S battery with high sulfur areal loading.The interwoven KB@Ti3C2Tx composite formed by self-assembly of MXene and Ktej en black,not only provides superior conductivity and maintains the electrode integrality bearing the volume expansion/shrinkage when used as the sulfur host,but also functions as an interlayer on separator to further retard the polysulfide cross-diffusion that possibly escaped from the cathode.The KB@Ti3C2Tx interlayer is only 0.28 mg cm-2 in areal loading and 3 μm in thickness,which accounts a little contribution to the thick sulfur electrode;thus,the impacts on the energy density is minimal.By coupling the robust KB@Ti3C2Tx cathode and the effective KB@Ti3C2Tx modified separator,a stable Li-S battery with high sulfur areal loading(5.6 mg cm-2) and high areal capacity(6.4 mAh cm-2) at relatively lean electrolyte is achieved. | Shouzheng Zhang Ning Zhong Xing Zhou Mingjie Zhang Xiangping Huang Xuelin Yang Ruijin Meng Xiao Liang | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9: | 4 |

| 17 | Altitudinal patterns of stand structure and herb layer diversity of Picea schrenkiana forests in the central Tianshan Mountains,Northwest China显示文摘Altitude is a useful indicator to examine patterns of forest structure and species diversity in relation to environmental factors.In this study,the altitude patterns of forest stand structure and species diversity were analyzed across 20 plots in the Tianchi Nature Reserve,Northwest China.The results showed that mean stem height(Hm),maximum stem height(Hmax) and mean stem diameter at breast height(Dm) of Picea schrenkiana trees all decreased significantly with increasing altitude.Potential tree height(H*) decreased while stem taper increased significantly as altitude increased,suggesting remarkable altitudinal changes in biomass allocation between the diameter and height growth of Picea schrenkiana.Understory herbaceous richness increased significantly with increasing altitude,or with decreasing total basal area(TBA),Hm and stand volume(Volume).High light availability for understory herbs might account for the higher species richness at high altitude.Sorensen Index decreased significantly with the increase in altitude intervals,while the Cody Index demonstrated a converse pattern,suggesting greater differences in species composition with larger distances. | LiPing LI XiangPing WANG Stefan ZERBE LiYun ZHANG JingYun FANG | 2011 | Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4: | 3 |
| 18 | Simultaneous measurement of CO_2 sorption and swelling of phosphate-based ionic liquid显示文摘The development of alternative CO_2 capture solvents such as ionic liquids(ILs) and nanoparticle organic hybrid materials(NOHMs) have provided interesting options for CO_2 capture. In this study, CO_2 interactions with 1,3-dimethylimidazolium dimethylphosphate([MMIM]DMP),1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium dimethylphosphate([EMIM]DMP) and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium diethylphosphate([EMIM]DEP) that contain inorganic ester groups based on phosphate, were investigated using ATR FT-IR spectroscopy. CO_2-induced swelling, CO_2 diffusivity and CO_2 capture capacity were simultaneously measured to identify CO_2 capture mechanisms, kinetics and diffusion behaviors as a function of the alkyl chain length of the cation. | 19 | Genetic analysis of meio-and mito-gynogenetic stocks of Paralichthys olivaceus with microsatellite markers显示文摘Twenty microsatellite markers (Po1, Po13, Po33, Po35, Po42, Po48, Po56, Po89, Po91, kop6, kop7, kop8, kop12, kop15, kop18, kop21, kop22, kop23, kop26, Po-str1) were used to assess the meiogynogenetic and mitogynogenetic stocks of the left-eyed flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, which were derived from single pair crossing. Twelve of the 20 loci utilized showed heterozygosity in the female and were mapped in relation to their centromeres in the meiogynogenetic diploid flounder. Microsatellite-centromere map distance, calculated under the assumption of complete interference, ranged from 15.8 cM for kop22 to 50 cM for Po13, Po56 and Po89. Excluding the kop22, the heterozygosities of the rest of the loci were close to 100%, suggesting the occurrence of near complete interference on the chromosome arms that carried these loci. In the mitogynogenetic diploid flounder, each individual showed exact homozygousity and the segregation profiles did not deviate from the Mendelian 1∶1 pattern. The results indicated that there was no lethal gene linked with the loci analyzed. Such high interference accounted for the high recombination rates and large map distances.
