1m^6A-dependent biogenesis of circular RNAs in male germ cells显示文摘The majority of circular RNAs(circRNAs)spliced from coding genes contain open reading frames(ORFs)and thus,have protein coding potential.However,it remains unknown what regulates the biogenesis of these ORF-containing circRNAs,whether they are actually translated into proteins and what functions they play in specific physiological contexts.Here,we report that a large number of circRNAs are synthesized with increasing abundance when late pachytene spermatocytes develop into round and then elongating spermatids during murine spermatogenesis.For a subset of circRNAs,the back splicing appears to occur mostly at m^6A-enriched sites,which are usually located around the start and stop codons in linear mRNAs.Consequently,approximately a half of these male germ cell circRNAs contain large ORFs with m^6A-modified start codons in their junctions,features that have been recently shown to be associated with protein-coding potential.Hundreds of peptides encoded by the junction sequences of these circRNAs were detected using liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry,suggesting that these circRNAs can indeed be translated into proteins in both developing(spermatocytes and spermatids)and mature(spermatozoa)male germ cells.The present study discovered not only a novel role of m^6A in the biogenesis of coding circRNAs,but also a potential mechanism to ensure stable and long-lasting protein production in the absence of linear mRNAs,i.e.,through production of circRNAs containing large ORFs and m^6A-modified start codons in junction sequences.Chong Tang Yeming Xie Tian Yu Na Liu Zhuqing Wang Rebekah J.Woolsey Yunge Tang Xinzong Zhang Weibing Qin Ying Zhang Ge Song Weiwei Zheng Juan Wang Weitian Chen Xiongyi Wei Zhe Xie Rachel Klukovich Huili Zheng David R.Quilici Wei Yan 2020Cell Research2020,30,3:12

3Enantioseletive bioaccumulation of tebuconazole in earthworm Eisenia fetida显示文摘Methods of extraction and determination of tebuconazole enantiomers in earthworm(Eisenia fetida)were developed by capillary electrophoresis(CE)and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Both CE and HPLC have excellent resolution and recovery.The linearity ranges were 2.9-102.4mg/kg and 3.0-99.6mg/kg for(+)-R-tebuconazole and(-)-S-tebuconazole respectively in CE,and from 0.56 to 1000mg/kg for both enantiomers in HPLC.Enantioselective bioaccumulation in earthworms from soil was investigated under laboratory condition at concentrations of 10 and 50 mg/kg dw in soil.The uptake kinetics of(+)-R-tebuconazole fitted the firstorder kinetics well with r2 0.97 and 0.94 under 10 and 50mg/kg dw exposure condition,respectively,while(-)-S-tebuconazole with r 2 0.75 and 0.22 did not show the same.Bioaccumulation of tebuconazole in earthworm tissues was enantioselective with a preferential accumulation of(+)-R-tebuconazole.The(+)-R-tebuconazole might also have biomagnifying effect potential in earthworm food chain with biota-sediment accumulation factor(BSAF) of 1.64kg OC/kg lip in 10 mg/kg dw exposure group and 2.61kg OC/kg lip in 50mg/kg dw exposure group from soil to earthworm after 36 days.Although(-)-S-tebuconazole shares the same physicochemical properties with(+)-R-tebuconazole,it did not biomagnify.BSAFs of(-)-S-tebuconazole were 0.50kg OC/kg lip(10 mg/kg dw tebuconazole exposure) and 0.28kg OC/kg lip(50mg/kg dw tebuconazole exposure) after 36 days,which was possibly owing to biotransformation or metabolism in earthworm tissues.Dingyi Yu Jianzhong Li Yanfeng Zhang Huili Wang Baoyuan Guo Lin Zheng 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,12:2

18Spatiotemporal Prediction of Urban Traffics Based on Deep GNN显示文摘Traffic prediction already plays a significant role in applications like traffic planning and urban management,but it is still difficult to capture the highly non-linear and complicated spatiotemporal correlations of traffic data.As well as to fulfil both long-termand short-termprediction objectives,a better representation of the temporal dependency and global spatial correlation of traffic data is needed.In order to do this,the Spatiotemporal Graph Neural Network(S-GNN)is proposed in this research as amethod for traffic prediction.The S-GNN simultaneously accepts various traffic data as inputs and investigates the non-linear correlations between the variables.In terms of modelling,the road network is initially represented as a spatiotemporal directed graph,with the features of the samples at the time step being captured by a convolution module.In order to assign varying attention weights to various adjacent area nodes of the target node,the adjacent areas information of nodes in the road network is then aggregated using a graph network.The data is output using a fully connected layer at the end.The findings show that S-GNN can improve short-and long-term traffic prediction accuracy to a greater extent;in comparison to the control model,the RMSE of S-GNN is reduced by about 0.571 to 9.288 and the MAE(Mean Absolute Error)by about 0.314 to 7.678.The experimental results on two real datasets,Pe MSD7(M)and PEMS-BAY,also support this claim.Ming Luo Huili Dou Ning Zheng 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,1:0
19Interfacial properties of 2D WS_(2)on SiO_(2)substrate from X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and firstprinciples calculations显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)WS_(2)films were deposited on SiO_(2)wafers,and the related interfacial properties were investigated by high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and first-principles calculations.Using the direct(indirect)method,the valence band offset(VBO)at monolayer WS_(2)/SiO_(2)interface was found to be 3.97 eV(3.86 eV),and the conduction band offset(CBO)was 2.70 eV(2.81 eV).Furthermore,the VBO(CBO)at bulk WS_(2)/SiO_(2)interface is found to be about 0.48 eV(0.33 eV)larger due to the interlayer orbital coupling and splitting of valence and conduction band edges.Therefore,the WS_(2)/SiO_(2)heterostructure has a Type I energy-band alignment.The band offsets obtained experimentally and theoretically are consistent except the narrower theoretical bandgap of SiO_(2).The theoretical calculations further reveal a binding energy of 75 meV per S atom and the totally separated partial density of states,indicating a weak interaction and negligible Fermi level pinning effect between WS_(2)monolayer and SiO_(2)surface.Our combined experimental and theoretical results provide proof of the sufficient VBOs and CBOs and weak interaction in 2D WS_(2)/SiO_(2)heterostructures.Changjie Zhou Huili Zhu Weifeng Yang Qiubao Lin Tongchang Zheng Lan Yang Shuqiong Lan 2022Frontiers of physics2022,17,5:0
20Energy band alignment of 2D/3D MoS_(2)/4H-SiC heterostructure modulated by multiple interfacial interactions显示文摘The interfacial properties of MoS_(2)/4H-SiC heterostructures were studied by combining first-principles calculations and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Experimental(theoretical)valence band offsets(VBOs)increase from 1.49(1.46)to 2.19(2.36)eV with increasing MoS_(2) monolayer(1L)up to 4 layers(4L).A strong interlayer interaction was revealed at 1L MoS_(2)/SiC interface.Fermi level pinning and totally surface passivation were realized for 4H-SiC(0001)surface.About 0.96e per unit cell transferring forms an electric field from SiC to MoS_(2).Then,1L MoS_(2)/SiC interface exhibits type I band alignment with the asymmetric conduction band offset(CBO)and VBO.For 2L and 4L MoS_(2)/SiC,Fermi level was just pinning at the lower MoS_(2)1L.The interaction keeps weak vdW interaction between upper and lower MoS_(2) layers.They exhibit the type II band alignments and the enlarged CBOs and VBOs,which is attributed to weak vdW interaction and strong interlayer orbital coupling in the multilayer MoS_(2).High efficiency of charge separation will emerge due to the asymmetric band alignment and built-in electric field for all the MoS_(2)/SiC interfaces.The multiple interfacial interactions provide a new modulated perspective for the next-generation electronics and optoelectronics based on the 2D/3D semiconductors heterojunctions.Huili Zhu Zifan Hong Changjie Zhou Qihui Wu Tongchang Zheng Lan Yang Shuqiong Lan Weifeng Yang 2023Frontiers of physics2023,18,1:0
