2Peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 monotherapy for Chinese advanced non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Limited benefit population of immune checkpoint inhibitors makes it urgent to screen predictive biomarkers for stratifying the patients.Herein,we have investigated peripheral CD4^(+) T cell signatures in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients receiving anti-PD-1/PD-L1 treatments.It was found that the percentages of IFN-γand IL-17A secreting naïve CD4^(+) T cells(Tn),and memory CD4^(+) T cells(Tm)expressing PD-1,PD-L1 and CTLA-4 were significantly higher in responder(R)than non-responder(NonR)NSCLC patients associated with a longer progression free survival(PFS).Logistic regression analysis revealed that the baseline IFN-γ-producing CD4^(+) Tn cells and PD-1^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells were the most significant signatures with the area under curve(AUC)value reaching 0.849.This was further validated in another anti-PD-1 monotherapy cohort.Conversely,high percentage of CTLA-4^(+)CD4^(+) Tm cells was associated with a shorter PFS in patients receiving anti-PD-L1 monotherapy.Our study therefore elucidates the significance of functional CD4^(+) Tn and Tm subpopulations before the treatment in predicting the responses to anti-PD-1 treatment in Chinese NSCLC patients.The fact that there display distinct CD4^(+) T cell signatures in the prediction to anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 monotherapy from our study provides preliminary evidence on the feasibility of anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 combination therapy for advanced NSCLC patients.Liliang Xia Hui Wang Mingjiao Sun Yi Yang Chengcheng Yao Sheng He Huangqi Duan Weimin Xia Ruiming Sun Yaxian Yao Zhiwei Chen Qiong Zhao Hong Li Shun Lu Ying Wang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:7
3Electro-optic tuning of a single-frequencyultranarrow linewidth microdisk laser显示文摘Single-frequency ultranarrow linewidth on-chip microlasers with a fast wavelength tunability play a game-changing role in a broad spectrum of applications ranging from coherent communication,light detection and ranging,to metrology and sensing.Design and fabrication of such light sources remain a challenge due to the difficulties in making a laser cavity that has an ultrahigh optical quality(Q)factor and supports only a single lasing frequency simultaneously.Here,we demonstrate a unique single-frequency ultranarrow linewidth lasing mechanism on an erbium ion-doped lithium niobate(LN)microdisk through simultaneous excitation of high-Q polygon modes at both pump and laser wavelengths.As the polygon modes are sparse within the optical gain bandwidth compared with the whispering gallery mode counterpart,while their Q factors(above 10 million)are even higher due to the significantly reduced scattering on their propagation paths,single-frequency lasing with a linewidth as narrow as 322 Hz is observed.The measured linewidth is three orders of magnitude narrower than the previous record in on-chip LN microlasers.Finally,enabled by the strong linear electro-optic effect of LN,real-time electro-optical tuning of the microlaser with a high tuning efficiency of∼50 pm∕100 V is demonstrated.Jintian Lin Saeed Farajollahi Zhiwei Fang Ni Yao Renhong Gao Jianglin Guan Li Deng Tao Lu Min Wang Haisu Zhang Wei Fang Lingling Qiao Ya Cheng 2022Advanced Photonics2022,4,3:4
4A New Efficient Certificate-Based Signature Scheme显示文摘Certificate-based cryptography is a new kind of public key algorithm, which combines the merits of traditional Public key infrastructure(PKI) and identitybased cryptography. It removes the inherent key escrow problem in the identity-based cryptography and eliminates the certificate revocation problem and third-party queries in the traditional PKI. In this paper, we propose an efficient certificate-based signature scheme based on bilinear pairings. Under the strong security model of certificatebased signature scheme, we prove that our scheme is existentially unforgeable against adaptive chosen message and identity attacks in the random oracle. In our scheme, only two pairing operations are needed in the signing and verification processes. 5Effect of Ningmitai capsule plus sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation and enlarged seminal vesicles:A randomized clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline on patients with premature ejaculation(PE) and an increased anterior-posterior diameter(APD) of the seminal vesicles(SVs).METHODS: Sixty men with acquired PE were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups. The combined group was treated with Ningmitai capsule and sertraline, while the control group was treated with sertraline alone. Main outcomes were measured using the premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT), APD of SVs, and Clinical Global Impression of Change questionnaire and compared before and after 3 months of treatment.RESULTS: Comparing after treatment with before treatment outcomes within each group, the PEDT score was significantly reduced in the combined group(12.1 ± 2.5 vs 8.6 ± 3.2, P < 0.001, respectively) and control group(12.9 ± 2.6 vs 10.3 ± 1.6, P <0.001, respectively). Furthermore, the PEDT score after treatment was significantly lower in the combined compared with control group(8.6 ± 3.2 vs10.3 ± 1.6, P = 0.011, respectively). The APD of SVs in the combined group was significantly decreased after treatment [(10.8 ± 2.4) vs(12.9 ± 2.2) mm, P =0.001], while the APD of SVs in the control group was equivalent before and after treatment. The treatment response rate was not significantly higher in the combined compared with control group.CONCLUSION: These results indicated that the effect of Ningmitai capsule combined with sertraline was better than that of sertraline alone for the treatment of PE patients exhibiting an increased APD of SVs. 6Solute manipulation enabled band and defect engineering for thermoelectric enhancements of SnTe显示文摘With years of development, SnTe as a homologue of PbTe has shown great potentialfor thermoelectric applications in p-type conduction, and the most successfulstrategy is typified by alloying for maximizing the valence band degeneracy.Among the known alloy agents, MnTe has been found to be one of the most effectiveenabling a band convergence for an enhancement in electronic performance ofSnTe, yet its solubility of only ~15 at% unfortunately prevents a full optimizationin the valence band structure. This work reveals that additional PbTe alloying notonly promotes the MnTe solubility to locate the optimal valence band structure butalso increases the overall substitutional defects in the material for a substantialreduction in lattice thermal conductivity. In addition, PbTe alloying simultaneouslyoptimizes the carrier concentration due to the cation size effect. 8Molecular Clump Extraction Algorithm Based on Local Density Clustering显示文摘The detection and parameterization of molecular clumps are the first step in studying them.We propose a method based on the Local Density Clustering algorithm while physical parameters of those clumps are measured using the Multiple Gaussian Model algorithm.One advantage of applying the Local Density Clustering to the clump detection and segmentation,is the high accuracy under different signal-to-noise levels.The Multiple Gaussian Model is able to deal with overlapping clumps whose parameters can reliably be derived.Using simulation and synthetic data,we have verified that the proposed algorithm could accurately characterize the morphology and flux of molecular clumps.The total flux recovery rate in 13CO(J=1-0)line of M16 is measured as 90.2%.The detection rate and the completeness limit are 81.7%and 20 K km s-1 in 13CO(J=1-0)line of M16,respectively.Xiaoyu Luo Sheng Zheng Yao Huang Shuguang Zeng Xiangyun Zeng Zhibo Jiang Zhiwei Chen 2022Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,1:3
9Cloning of a novel gene associated with human nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘One EST N27741 with high expression in normal adult nasopharynx tissues but low expression in adult poorly differentiated squamous nasopharyngeal carcinoma has been selected out by the high-density cDNA array expression profiling technique. The differential expression has been confirmed by RT-PCR. One novel gene of 1096 bp has been cloned based on this EST. Bioinformatics analysis found that the new gene sequence contains a whole reading frame encoding 256 amino acids. There is a stop codon TAA in front of the 5’ end start codon, and a tailing signal AATAAA and poly A tail at the 3’ end. There is no homologous known gene found after searching by blasting this sequence to non-redundancy nucleotide database. 10Layer-by-Layer Assembled Bacterial Cellulose/Graphene Oxide Hydrogels with Extremely Enhanced Mechanical Properties显示文摘Uniform dispersion of two-dimensional(2 D) graphene materials in polymer matrices remains challenging. In this work, a novel layer-by-layer assembly strategy was developed to prepare a sophisticated nanostructure with highly dispersed 2 D graphene oxide in a three-dimensional matrix consisting of onedimensional bacterial cellulose(BC) nanofibers. This method is a breakthrough, with respect to the conventional static culture method for BC that involves multiple in situ layer-by-layer assembly steps at the interface between previously grown BC and the culture medium. In the as-prepared BC/GO nanocomposites, the GO nanosheets are mechanically bundled and chemically bonded with BC nanofibers via hydrogen bonding,forming an intriguing nanostructure. The sophisticated nanostructure of the BC/GO leads to greatly enhanced mechanical properties compared to those of bare BC. 11The Enlightenment on Urban Ecological Construction by Research Progress of Sponge City in China Based on Literature Analysis显示文摘To quantitatively analyze main figure,field,agency and level of sponge city research in China,and clear research focus and hot spot in each year,by using the Full Text Database of Chinese Sci-tech Periodicals and other retrieval tools,the statistics and analysis of 3152 research literatures on sponge city published in domestic academic journals of 2004-2016 are conducted based on bibliometrics. It is found that since the concept of ' sponge city' was firstly proposed in 2012,development research of sponge city involves 40 subject fields and is mainly published in 32 kinds of journals,which is dominated by natural science research( 1427 literatures). Researchers are mainly from each college and university,some design institutes and Chinese Academy of Sciences. 12Land use and land cover classification using Chinese GF-2 multispectral data in a region of the North China Plain显示文摘The newly launched GF-2 satellite is now the most advanced civil satellite in China to collect high spatial resolution remote sensing data.This study investigated the capability and strategy of GF?2 multispectral data for land use and land cover (LULC) classification in a region of the North China Plain.The pixel-based and object-based classifications using maximum likelihood (MLC) and support vector machine (SVM) classifiers were evaluated to determine the classification strategy that was suitable for GF?2 multispectral data.The validation results indicated that GF-2 multispectral data achieved satisfactory LULC classification performance,and object-based classification using the SVM classifier achieved the best classification accuracy with an overall classification accuracy of 94.33% and kappa coefficient of 0.911.Therefore,considering the LULC classification performance and data characteristics,GF-2 satellite data could serve as a valuable and reliable high-resolution data source for land surface monitoring.Future works should focus on improving LULC classification accuracy by exploring more classification features and exploring the potential applications of GF-2 data in related applications.Kun JIA Jingcan LIU Yixuan TU Qiangzi LI Zhiwei SUN Xiangqin WEI Yunjun YAO Xiaotong ZHANG 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,2:2
13Viral vectors as a novel tool for clinical and neuropsychiatric research applications显示文摘Background A viral vector is a genetically modified vector produced by genetic engineering. As pathogenic genes in the virus are completely or largely eliminated, it is safe to be widely used in multidisciplinary research fields for expressing genes, such as neuroscience, metabolism, oncology and so on. Neuroscience and psychiatry are the most closely related disciplines in either basic research or clinical research, but the application of viral vectors in neuropsychiatry has not received much attention or not been widely accepted.Aim This article will focus on the application of viral vectors in basic and clinical neuropsychiatric research.Methods By using viral vectors, scientists can perform neurological labelling, gene expression regulation and physiological manipulation for investigating phenomenon from molecular mechanisms to behaviours. At the same time, to treat mental or neurological disorders, viral vectors can be designed for gene therapy, which alter gene expression levels or repair mutated genes in the brains of patients.Perspective Viral vectors play an important role in basic research and clinical applications. 14Profiling gene expression patterns of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and normal nasopharynx tissues with cDNA microarray显示文摘5 μg of total RNAs from normal nasopharynx and nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue have been labeled with α-32P-dCTP during reverse transcription. The synthesized cDNA probes have been hybridized to high-density cDNA microarray containing 5184 genes or expression sequence tags (ESTs). Then image analysis software has been applied to comparing their expression profiles. Results show that 187 ESTs were of density value above 200 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue while there were 307 such ESTs in normal nasopharynx tissue; 38 ESTs were strongly expressed in nasopharynx, but weakly expressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma; 48 ESTs were strongly expressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, but weakly expressed in normal nasopharynx. These results suggest that there may exist some new differentially expressed genes involved in nasopharyngeal carcinoma development.
