| 2 | Oceanic barrier layer variation induced by tropical cyclones in the Northwest Pacific显示文摘According to Argo profiles and one-dimensional Price-Weller-Pinkel models, the oceanic barrier layer variation induced by tropical cyclones is adequately analyzed in the Northwest Pacific. Results show that tropical cyclones mainly aff ect the oceanic barrier layer through intensifying and weakening pre-existed barrier layer. The former even may generate new one after tropical cyclones’ passage. The latter can make pre-existed one disappear. Local wind stress and precipitation, the dominant factors, primarily determine the variation of barrier layer. Negative eff ects of wind mainly focus on the north of 20°N. This phenomenon is more meaningful for slow tropical cyclones. Conversely, positive eff ects of wind and precipitation center on the south of 20°N in the Northwest Pacific. | 3 | Detecting visually salient scene areas and deriving their relative spatial relations from continuous street-view panoramas显示文摘A salient scene is an area within an image that contains visual elements that stand out from surrounding areas.They are important for distinguishing landmarks in first-person-view(FPV)applications and determining spatial relations in images.The relative spatial relation between salient scenes acts as a visual guide that is easily accepted and understood by users in FPV applications.However,current digitally navigable maps and location-based services fall short of providing information on visual spatial relations for users.This shortcoming has a critical influence on the popularity and innovation of FPV applications.This paper addresses the issue by proposing a method for detecting visually salient scene areas(SSAs)and deriving their relative spatial relationships from continuous panoramas.This method includes three critical steps.First,an SSA detection approach is introduced by fusing region-based saliency derived from super-pixel segmentation and the frequency-tuned saliency model.The method focuses on a segmented landmark area in a panorama.Secondly,a street-view-oriented SSA generation method is introduced by matching and merging the visual SSAs from continuous panoramas.Thirdly,a continuous geotagged panorama-based referencing approach is introduced to derive the relative spatial relationships of SSAs from continuous panoramas.This information includes the relative azimuth,elevation angle,and the relative distance.Experiment results show that the error for the SSA relative azimuth angle is approximately±6°(with an average error of 2.67°),and the SSA relative elevation angle is approximately±4°(with an average error of 1.32°)when using Baidu street-view panoramas.These results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.The method proposed in this study can facilitate the development of FPV applications such as augmented reality(AR)and pedestrian navigation using proper spatial relation. | Fangli Guan Zhixiang Fang Tao Yu Mingxiang Feng Fan Yang | 2020 | International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,12: | 2 |

| 5 | Realizing transmitted metasurface cloak by a tandem neural network显示文摘Being invisible at will has been a long-standing dream for centuries, epitomized by numerous legends;humans have never stopped their exploration steps to realize this dream. Recent years have witnessed a breakthrough in this search due to the advent of transformation optics, metamaterials, and metasurfaces. However, the previous metasurface cloaks typically work in a reflection manner that relies on a high-reflection background, thus limiting the applications. Here, we propose an easy yet viable approach to realize the transmitted metasurface cloak, just composed of two planar metasurfaces to hide an object inside, such as a cat. To tackle the hard-to-converge issue caused by the nonuniqueness phenomenon, we deploy a tandem neural network(T-NN) to efficiently streamline the inverse design. Once pretrained, the T-NN can work for a customer-desired electromagnetic response in one single forward computation, saving a great amount of time. | 6 | Effect of Combined Application of Humic Acid and Urea on the Wheat Growth and Yield显示文摘This paper aims to research the effects of combined application of humic acid and urea on the wheat yield and yield component,and establish rational fertilizer application scheme of wheat. Split plot experiment was adopted. Two types of phosphorus fertilizer( adding humic acid or not) was assigned to the main plot,and four types of top dressing modes( different amount of urea and humic acid urea) were used in subplots. Effects of combined application of humic acid and urea on the wheat yield and yield component were researched. 375 kg / ha ordinary DAP + 150 kg / ha urea was used as base fertilizer; topdressing of 300 kg / ha urea humate could effectively promote the plant height,leaf area coefficient and aboveground dry matter amount. Adding humic acid in urea in topdressing significantly enhanced the wheat yield and economic coefficient of wheat. | 13 | A knowledge-inherited learning for intelligent metasurface design and assembly显示文摘Recent breakthroughs in deep learning have ushered in an essential tool for optics and photonics,recurring in various applications of material design,system optimization,and automation control.Deep learning-enabled on-demand metasurface design has been the subject of extensive expansion,as it can alleviate the time-consuming,low-efficiency,and experience-orientated shortcomings in conventional numerical simulations and physics-based methods.However,collecting samples and training neural networks are fundamentally confined to predefined individual metamaterials and tend to fail for large problem sizes.Inspired by object-oriented C++programming,we propose a knowledge-inherited paradigm for multi-object and shape-unbound metasurface inverse design.Each inherited neural network carries knowledge from the'parent'metasurface and then is freely assembled to construct the'offspring'metasurface;such a process is as simple as building a container-type house.We benchmark the paradigm by the free design of aperiodic and periodic metasurfaces,with accuracies that reach 86.7%.Furthermore,we present an intelligent origami metasurface to facilitate compatible and lightweight satellite communication facilities.Our work opens up a new avenue for automatic metasurface design and leverages the assemblability to broaden the adaptability of intelligent metadevices. | Yuetian Jia Chao Qian Zhixiang Fan Tong Cai Er-Ping Li Hongsheng Chen | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Multiomics analysis reveals metabolic subtypes and identifies diacylglycerol kinase α (DGKA) as a potential therapeutic target for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(iCCA)is a highly heteroge-neous and lethal hepatobiliary tumor with few therapeutic strategies.The metabolic reprogramming of tumor cells plays an essential role in the develop-ment of tumors,while the metabolic molecular classification of iCCA is largely unknown.Here,we performed an integrated multiomics analysis and metabolic classification to depict differences in metabolic characteristics of iCCA patients,hoping to provide a novel perspective to understand and treat iCCA.Methods:We performed integrated multiomics analysis in 116 iCCA samples,including whole-exome sequencing,bulk RNA-sequencing and proteome anal-ysis.Based on the non-negative matrix factorization method and the protein abundance of metabolic genes in human genome-scale metabolic models,the metabolic subtype of iCCA was determined.Survival and prognostic gene analy-ses were used to compare overall survival(OS)differences between metabolic subtypes.Cell proliferation analysis,5-ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay,colony formation assay,RNA-sequencing and Western blotting were performed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of diacylglycerol kinaseα(DGKA)in iCCA cells.Results:Three metabolic subtypes(S1-S3)with subtype-specific biomarkers of iCCA were identified.These metabolic subtypes presented with distinct prog-noses,metabolic features,immune microenvironments,and genetic alterations.The S2 subtype with the worst survival showed the activation of some special metabolic processes,immune-suppressed microenvironment and Kirsten ratsar-coma viral oncogene homolog(KRAS)/AT-rich interactive domain 1A(ARID1A)mutations.Among the S2 subtype-specific upregulated proteins,DGKA was further identified as a potential drug target for iCCA,which promoted cell proliferation by enhancing phosphatidic acid(PA)metabolism and activating mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling.Conclusion:Viamultiomics analyses,we identified three metabolic subtypes of iCCA,revealing that the S2 subtype exhibited the poorest survival outcomes.We further identified DGKA as a potential target for the S2 subtype. | Weiren Liu Huqiang Wang Qianfu Zhao Chenyang Tao Weifeng Qu Yushan Hou Run Huang Zimei Sun Guiqi Zhu Xifei Jiang Yuan Fang Jun Gao Xiaoling Wu Zhixiang Yang Rongyu Ping Jiafeng Chen Rui Yang Tianhao Chu Jian Zhou Jia Fan Zheng Tang Dong Yang Yinghong Shi | 2024 | Cancer Communications2024,44,2: | 0 |

| 20 | Vitamin D-binding protein in plasma microglia-derived extracellular vesicles as a potential biomarker for major depressive disorder显示文摘No well-established biomarkers are available for the clinical diagnosis of major depressive disorder(MDD).Vitamin D-binding protein(VDBP)is altered in plasma and postmortem dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC)tissues of MDD patients.Thereby,the role of VDBP as a potential biomarker of MDD diagnosis was further assessed.Total extracellular vesicles(EVs)and brain cell-derived EVs(BCDEVs)were isolated from the plasma of first-episode drug-naïve or drug-free MDD patients and well-matched healthy controls(HCs)in discovery(20 MDD patients and 20 HCs)and validation cohorts(88 MDD patients and 38 HCs).VDBP level in the cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)from chronic glucocorticoid-induced depressed rhesus macaques or prelimbic cortex from lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced depressed mice and wild control groups was measured to evaluate its relationship with VDBP in plasma microglia-derived extracellular vesicles(MDEVs).VDBP was significantly decreased in MDD plasma MDEVs compared to HCs,and negatively correlated with HAMD-24 score with the highest diagnostic accuracy among BCDEVs.VDBP in plasma MDEVs was decreased both in depressed rhesus macaques and mice.A positive correlation of VDBP in MDEVs with that in CSF was detected in depressed rhesus macaques.VDBP levels in prelimbic cortex microglia were negatively correlated with those in plasma MDEVs in depressed mice.The main results suggested that VDBP in plasma MDEVs might serve as a prospective candidate biomarker for MDD diagnosis. | Gaojia Zhang Ling Li Yan Kong Dandan Xu Yu Bao Zhiting Zhang Zhixiang Liao Jiao Jiao Dandan Fan Xiaojing Long Ji Dai Chunming Xie Zhiqiang Meng Zhijun Zhang | 2024 | Genes & Diseases2024,11,2: | 0 |
