| 1 | Cold acclimation improves photosynthesis by regulating the ascorbate–glutathione cycle in chloroplasts of Kandelia obovata显示文摘As the most northerly mangrove species in China, Kandelia obovata may undergo extreme cold event stress. Enhancing the cold tolerance of this species is crucial to its successful afforestation. This study aimed to determine the resistance of K. obovata seedlings to low temperature stress by cold acclimation and to explain the mechanisms for alleviating cold injury. To understand these mechanisms, seedlings that were acclimatized and not acclimatized were exposed to 5℃/- 2℃(day/night)for 48 h.Results showed that low temperature stress reduced leaf photosynthesis of non-acclimatized seedlings by inducing oxidative stress and structural damage to chloroplasts. These phenomena were shown by increasing levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), O2-and H2O2, as well as decreasing enzyme activities in the ascorbate–glutathione (AsA-GSH) cycle. However, cold-acclimatized seedlings had improved photosynthetic rates and efficiency of photosystem II (PSII) under low temperature stress. Compared with non-acclimatized seedlings, leaves of coldacclimatized seedlings under low temperature stress for 48 h exhibited higher anti-oxidative enzyme activities, lower levels of O2^- and H2O2, less damage to chloroplast structure, and removed 33.7% of MDA at low temperature stress for 48 h. | 2 | Effect of lithium or aluminum substitution on the characteristics of graphite for anode of lithium ion batteries显示文摘Modification of graphite for anode of lithium ion batteries is investigated. Results of X-ray diffraction shows lithium and aluminum exists as Li compound (CH3COOLi@2H2O) and Al compound (AlD3) in the graphite, respectiovely.The Bmnauer-Emmer-Teller (BET) surface area of the modified graphite increases. According to the electrochemical measurements of Li/C cell and prototype Li-ion batteries, the Li-doped graphite has large reversible capacity of 312.2mA@h/g, low irreversible capacity of 52.9 mA@h/g, and high initial coulombic efficiency of 85.51%. The 063448 size prototype battery with Li-doped graphite anode has large discharge capacity of 845 mA@h and good cycling performance. | 3 | Heavy Oil and Oil Sands:Global Distribution and Resource Assessment显示文摘Global recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands have been assessed by CNPC using a geology-based assessment method combined with the traditional volumetric method, spatial interpolation method, parametric-probability method etc. The most favourable areas for exploration have been selected in accordance with a comprehensive scoring system. The results show:(1) For geological resources, CNPC estimate 991.18 billion tonnes of heavy oil and 501.26 billion tonnes of oil sands globally, of which technically recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands comprise 126.74 billion tonnes and 64.13 billion tonnes respectively. More than 80% of the resources occur within Tertiary and Cretaceous reservoirs distributed across 69 heavy oil basins and 32 oil sands basins. 99% of recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands occur within foreland basins, passive continental-margin basins and cratonic basins.(2) Since residual hydrocarbon resources remain following large-scale hydrocarbon migration and destruction, heavy oil and oil sands are characterized most commonly by late hydrocarbon accumulation, the same basin types and source-reservoir conditions as for conventional hydrocarbon resources, shallow burial depth and stratabound reservoirs.(3) Three accumulation models are recognised, depending on basin type: degradation along slope; destruction by uplift; and migration along faults.(4) In addition to mature exploration regions such as Canada and Venezuela, the Volga-Ural Basin and the Pre-Caspian Basin are less well-explored and have good potential for oil-sand discoveries, and it is predicted that the Middle East will be an important region for heavy oil development. | LIU Zuodong WANG Hongjun Graham BLACKBOURN MA Feng HE Zhengjun WEN Zhixing WANG Zhaoming YANG Zi LUAN Tiansi WU Zhenzhen | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,1: | 9 |
| 4 | Performance and capacity fading reason of LiMn_2O_4/graphite batteries after storing at high temperature显示文摘Spinel LiMn2O4 was synthesized by a solid-state method. A 204468-size battery was fabricated and stored at 55°C. The structure and morphology of the LiMn2O4 cathode were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique. Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) was used to analyze the surface component of the carbon anode. The discharge capacities of LiMn2O4 stored for 0, 24, 48, and 96 h are 106, 98, 96, and 92 mAh?g?1, respectively. The cyclic performance is improved after storage. The capacity retentions of LiMn2O4 stored for 0, 24, 48, and 96 h are 83.8%, 85.8%, 86.9%, and 88.6% after 180 cycles. The intensity of all the LiMn2O4 diffraction peaks is weakened. Mn is detected from the carbon electrode when the battery is stored for 96 h. Cyclic voltammograms and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to examine the surface state of the electrode after storage. | 6 | Synthesis and electrochemical properties of Al-doped LiVPO_4F cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Al-doped LiVPO4F cathode materials LiAlxV1-xPO4F were prepared by two-step reactions based on a car-bothermal reduction (CTR) process. The properties of the Al-doped LiVPO4F were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and electrochemical measurements. XRD studies show that the Al-doped LiVPO4F has the same triclinic structure (space group p1 ) as the undoped LiVPO4F. The SEM images exhibit that the particle size of Al-doped LiVPO4F is smaller than that of the undoped LiVPO4F and that the smallest particle size is only about 1 μm. | 7 | Carrier dynamic overlapping switching frequency optimal pulse width modulation method for modular multilevel converters显示文摘Modular multilevel converters(MMCs) operate in the low modulation index region in many applications.However, when utilized at the low modulation index region, large harmonics appear in the output voltage, which degrade the performance of the MMC. To improve the harmonic characteristic in the low modulation index, the carrier dynamic overlapping switching frequency optimal pulse width modulation(CDOSFOPWM) method is proposed for the MMC here. The whole modulation index region is divided into three regions: high modulation index region, middle modulation index region, and low modulation index region. The carrier amplitude, carrier overlap ratio, and frequency of triangular carriers are chosen dynamically according to the modulation index region of the modulation signals, to achieve the optimal harmonic characteristic in the whole modulation index region and maintain the switching loss. The number of on-state submodules(SMs) can be calculated by CDOSFOPWM, and the selection of SMs is performed by a reducing switching frequency voltage balancing algorithm. | 13 | Effects of cultivation of Osr HSA transgenic rice on functional diversity of microbial communities in the soil rhizosphere显示文摘With the widespread cultivation of transgenic crops, there is increasing concern about unintended effects of these crops on soil environmental quality. In this study, we used the Biolog method and ELISA to evaluate the possible effects of Osr HSA transgenic rice on soil microbial utilization of carbon substrates under field conditions. There were no significant differences in average well-color development(AWCD) values, Shannon–Wiener diversity index(H), Simpson dominance indices(D) and Shannon–Wiener evenness indices(E) of microbial communities in rhizosphere soils at eight samplings between Osr HSA transgenic rice and its non-transgenic counterpart. The main carbon sources utilized by soil microbes were carbohydrates, carboxylic acids, amino acids and polymers. The types,capacities and patterns of carbon source utilization by microbial communities in rhizosphere soils were similar throughout the detection period. We detected no Osr HSA protein in the roots of Osr HSA transgenic rice. | 14 | Transarterial infusion chemotherapy with FOLFOX for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma:a multi-center propensity score matched analysis of real-world practice显示文摘Background:To compare the treatment effectiveness and safety among transarterial infusion chemotherapy(TAI)with FOLFOX regimen,transarterial chemoembolization(TACE),and sorafenib in patients with BCLC stage C hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:The data of consecutive patients with BCLC stage C HCC treated with TAI,TACE,or sorafenib from January 2015 to December 2018 at three centers were retrospectively analyzed.Propensity-score matched(PSM)analysis was pairwise performed to reduce selection bias.Treatment effectiveness and safety were evaluated and compared using the Kaplan-Meier method,log-rank test,Cox regression models,andχ2 test.Results:The median overall survival(OS)in the matched TAI cohort was significantly longer than the sorafenib cohort(19.6 vs.7.5 months,P=0.009),and the TACE cohort(estimated 27.8 vs.6.6 months,P<0.001).The difference in median progression-free survival(PFS)between the matched TAI and sorafenib cohorts was not significant(5.8 vs.2.3 months,P=0.219).The median PFS in the matched TAI cohort was significantly longer than the TACE cohort(6.5 vs.2.8 months,P<0.001).The objective response rate(ORR)in the matched TAI cohort was significantly higher than the sorafenib cohort(36.4%vs.0.0%,P<0.001)and the TACE cohort(48.7%vs.4.7%,P<0.001).The incidences of adverse events(AEs)were similar among these three cohorts.Conclusions:TAI with FOLFOX regimen was an effective and safe therapy that improved survival of patients with BCLC stage C HCC. | Shaohua Li Jie Mei Qiaoxuan Wang Feng Shi Hongyan Liu Ming Zhao Lianghe Lu Yihong Ling Zhixing Guo Yabing Guo Xiaoming Chen Ming Shi Wan Yee Lau Wei Wei Rongping Guo | 2021 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,5: | 2 |

| 16 | Highly crystalline ReSe2 atomic layers synthesized by chemical vapor transport显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D) anisotropic rhenium diselenide (ReSe2) has attracted lots ofattention due to its promising applications in electronics and optoelectronics. However,controlled synthesis of high quality ultrathin ReSe2 remains as a challenge.Here we developed an approach for synthesizing high quality 2D ReSe2 flakes witha thickness down to monolayer by chemical vapor transport (CVT) through carefullytuning the growth kinetics. The atomic structures and anisotropy of theobtained ReSe2 flakes were intensively characterized with scanning transmissionelectron microscope and angle-resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy. Fieldeffecttransistors fabricated on the CVT-grown ReSe2 flakes showed n-typesemiconducting behavior with an on/off current ratio of 105 and a mobility up to5 cm2 V−1 s−1, which is comparable to mechanically exfoliated flakes and isobvious higher than the samples synthesized with other approaches. | 17 | Effect of 5'-deletion of Arabi-dopsis profilin2 promoter on its vascular specific expression显示文摘Based on the published sequence of profilin2 promoter of Arabidopsis thaliana, a full-length promoter (1667 bp) was amplified by PCR. The 5’ -end deletion fragments with length of 1380, 1153, 969 and 597 bp were then fused with gus (uid\) gene respectively. Constructed plant expression vectors were individually transferred into Kalan-choe laciniata and transgenic plants regenerated. GUS his-tochemical assay confirmed that the full-length promoter Pfnl.7 was vascular-specific. Deletion assays showed that profilin2 promoter could be divided into three parts. Deletion of fragment 1 ( -1667 -1380 bp) resulted in constitutive expression, suggesting that element(s) responsible for vascular-specific expression might exist in this region. Fragment 2 located at -1153 - -597 bp strongly inhibited gus gene expression.
