1Intra-continental back-arc basin inversion and Late Carboniferous magmatism in Eastern Tianshan,NW China:Constraints from the Shaquanzi magmatic suite显示文摘The Yamansu belt,an important tectonic component of Eastern Tianshan Mountains,of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt,NW China hosts many Fe-(Cu)deposit.In this study,we present new zircon U-Pb geochronology and geochemical data of the volcanic rocks of Shaquanzi Formation and diorite intrusions in the Yamansu belt.The Shaquanzi Formation comprises mainly basalt,andesite/andesitic tuff,rhyolite and sub-volcanic diabase with local diorite intrusions.The volcanic rocks and diorites contain ca.315-305 Ma and ca.298 Ma zircons respectively.These rocks show calc-alkaline affinity with enrichment in large-ion lithophile elements(LILEs),light rare-earth elements(LREEs),and depletion in high field strength elements(HFSEs)in primitive mantle normalized multi-element diagrams,which resemble typical back-arc basin rocks.They show depleted mantle signature with ε_(Nd)(t)ranging from+3.1 to +5.6 for basalt;+2.1 to+4.7 for andesite;-0.2 to+1.5 for rhyolite and the ε_(Hf)(t)ranges from-0.1 to +13.0 for andesites;+5.8 to +10.7 for andesitic tuffs.We suggest that the Shaquanzi Formation basalt might have originated from a depleted,metasomatized lithospheric mantle source mixed with minor(3-5%)subduction-derived materials,whereas the andesite and rhyolite could be fractional crystallization products of the basaltic magma.The Shaquanzi Formation volcanic rocks could have formed in an intracontinental back-arc basin setting,probably via the southward subduction of the Kangguer Ocean beneath the Middle Tianshan Massif.The Yamansu mineralization belt might have undergone a continental arc to back-arc basin transition during the Late Carboniferous and the intra-continental back-arc basin might have closed in the Early Permian,marked by the emplacement of dioritic magma in the Shaquanzi belt.Hongjun Jiang Jinsheng Han Huayong Chen Yi Zheng Wanjian Lu Gang Deng Zhixiong Tan 2017Geoscience Frontiers2017,8,6:11
2Regulation of non-classical immune parameters in immune thrombocytopenic purpura mice by a spleen-invigorating,qi-replenishing and blood-containing formula显示文摘Objective:This study investigated the regulatory effect of non-classical immune parameters on immune thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP)mice by a spleen-invigorating,qi-replenishing and blood-containing formula(SQBF).Method:A total of 80 BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four equal groups(20 mice each):control group,model group,prednisone group and spleen-invigorating,qi-replenishing and blood-containing(SQBF)group.Mice in the model group,prednisone group,and SQBF group were administered anti-platelet serum to induce ITP.The dynamic variations of platelet counts in ITP mice were measured with an automatic blood analyzer before modeling and 48 h,and 8,12 and 15 days following APS injection.Levels of b-endorphin(b-EP),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)and salivary IgA(SIgA)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)on 15th day of experiment.Results:SQBF enhanced peripheral blood platelet counts in ITP mice similar to that of prednisone,and both groups showed a statistically significant response compared with the model group(P<.01).The SQBF significantly decreased b-EP levels compared with the model and prednisone intervention groups(P<.05),significantly increased the levels of VIP and SIgA in ITP mice compared with the model group(P<.05)and had significant protective effects on the thymus of ITP mice compared with the model group(P<.01).Conclusions:The SQBF had a similar effect to prednisone with regards to enhancing peripheral blood platelet counts in ITP mice.Furthermore,it decreased b-EP levels and increased VIP and SIgA,and protected the thymus.This shows that,on base of the brain-gut axis functions,some non-classical immune vascular active factors or neurotransmitters are also involved in immune responses,and also have relationship with the onset of ITP and bleeding and/or hemostasis.It needs further study to determine whether a change in these active factors is related to immediate hemostasis.Tiantian Li Hao He Li Hou Yue Xu Xiaoyong Wu Yanping Sun Lei Zheng Zhixiong Chen Xinyi Chen Bei Qin 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,2:6

4Reductive damage induced autophagy inhibition for tumor therapy显示文摘Numerous therapeutic anti-tumor strategies have been developed in recent decades.However,their therapeutic efficacy is reduced by the intrinsic protective autophagy of tumors.Autophagy plays a key role in tumorigenesis and tumor treatment,in which the overproduction of reactive oxygen species(ROS)is recognized as the direct cause of protective autophagy.Only a few molecules have been employed as autophagy inhibitors in tumor therapy to reduce protective autophagy.Among them,hydroxychloroquine is the most commonly used autophagy inhibitor in clinics,but it is severely limited by its high therapeutic dose,significant toxicity,poor reversal efficacy,and nonspecific action.Herein,we demonstrate a reductive-damage strategy to enable tumor therapy by the inhibition of protective autophagy via the catalytic scavenging of ROS using porous nanorods of ceria(PN-CeO_(2))nanozymes as autophagy inhibitor.The antineoplastic effects of PN-CeO_(2)were mediated by its high reductive activity for intratumoral ROS degradation,thereby inhibiting protective autophagy and activating apoptosis by suppressing the activities of phosphatidylinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways in human cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.Further investigation highlighted PN-CeO_(2)as a safe and efficient anti-tumor autophagy inhibitor.Overall,this study presents a reductive-damage strategy as a promising anti-tumor approach that catalytically inhibits autophagy and activates the intrinsic antioxidant pathways of tumor cells and also shows its potential for the therapy of other autophagy-related diseases.Yuqian Wang Yingjian Huang Yu Fu Zhixiong Guo Da Chen Fangxian Cao Qi Ye Qiqi Duan Meng Liu Ning Wang Dan Han Chaoyi Qu Zhimin Tian Yongquan Qu Yan Zheng 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1
5Kif4A mediates resistance to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer via regulating DNA damage response显示文摘More and more patients with advanced colorectal cancer(CRC)have benefited from surgical resection or ablation following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy(nCRT),but nCRT may be ineffective and have potential risks to some patients.Therefore,it is necessary to discover effective biomarkers for predicting the nCRT efficacy in CRC patients.Chromokinesin Kif4A plays a critical role in mitosis,DNA damage repair and tumorigenesis,but its relationship with nCRT efficacy in advanced CRC remains unclear.Here,we find that Kif4A expression in pretreated tumor tissue is positively correlated with poorer tumor regression after receiving nCRT(P=0.005).Knockdown of endogenous Kif4A causes an increased sensitivity of CRC cells to chemotherapeutic drugs 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)and Cisplatin(DDP),while overexpression of Kif4A enhances resistance of CRC cells to the chemotherapeutic drugs.Furthermore,depending on its motor domain and tail domain,Kif4A regulates DNA damage response(DDR)induced by 5-FU or DDP treatment in CRC cells.In conclusion,we demonstrate that Kif4A may be a potential independent biomarker for predicting the nCRT efficacy in advanced CRC patients,and Kif4A regulates chemosensitivity of CRC cells through controlling DDR.Rui Zhang Shuanghui Liu Bojiang Gong Wenran Xie Youjuan Zhao Liang Xu Yi Zheng Shengnan Jin Chunming Ding Chang Xu Zhixiong Dong 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,7:1
6Efficacy and safety of anlotinib as an adjuvant therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma patients with a high risk of postoperative recurrence显示文摘Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has a high rate of postoperative recurrence and lacks an effective treatment to prevent recurrence.This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib in postoperative adjuvant therapy for HCC patients with high-risk recurrence factors.Methods:For this multicenter,retrospective study,we recruited 63 HCC patients who received either anlotinib(n=27)or transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)(n=36)from six research centers in China between March 2019 and October 2020.The primary endpoint was disease-free survival(DFS)and the secondary endpoints were overall survival(OS)and safety.Results:In this study,the median follow-up time was 25.9 and 26.8 months in the anlotinib and TACE groups,respectively.There was no significant difference in the median DFS between the anlotinib[26.8 months,95%confidence interval(95%CI):6.8-NE]and TACE groups(20.6 months,95%CI:8.4-NE).The 12-month OS rates in the anlotinib and TACE groups were 96.3%and 97.2%,respectively.In the anlotinib group,19 of 27patients(70.4%)experienced treatment-emergent adverse events,with the most common events(≥10%)being hypertension(22.2%)and decreased platelet count(22.2%).Conclusions:The results indicate that anlotinib,as a new,orally administered tyrosine kinase inhibitor,has the same efficacy as TACE,and side effects can be well controlled.Jianguo Wang Xiaonan Xiang Zhixiong Shi Hui Zhang Quanbao Zhang Zhikun Liu Guangjie Zhao Chuanxing Wu Qiang Wei Lin Zhong Zhengxin Wang Guoyue Lv Shusen Zheng Xiao Xu 2023Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2023,35,4:0
7Bridge Crack Segmentation Method Based on Parallel Attention Mechanism and Multi-Scale Features Fusion显示文摘Regular inspection of bridge cracks is crucial to bridge maintenance and repair.The traditional manual crack detection methods are timeconsuming,dangerous and subjective.At the same time,for the existing mainstream vision-based automatic crack detection algorithms,it is challenging to detect fine cracks and balance the detection accuracy and speed.Therefore,this paper proposes a new bridge crack segmentationmethod based on parallel attention mechanism and multi-scale features fusion on top of the DeeplabV3+network framework.First,the improved lightweight MobileNetv2 network and dilated separable convolution are integrated into the original DeeplabV3+network to improve the original backbone network Xception and atrous spatial pyramid pooling(ASPP)module,respectively,dramatically reducing the number of parameters in the network and accelerates the training and prediction speed of the model.Moreover,we introduce the parallel attention mechanism into the encoding and decoding stages.The attention to the crack regions can be enhanced from the aspects of both channel and spatial parts and significantly suppress the interference of various noises.Finally,we further improve the detection performance of the model for fine cracks by introducing a multi-scale features fusion module.Our research results are validated on the self-made dataset.The experiments show that our method is more accurate than other methods.Its intersection of union(IoU)and F1-score(F1)are increased to 77.96%and 87.57%,respectively.In addition,the number of parameters is only 4.10M,which is much smaller than the original network;also,the frames per second(FPS)is increased to 15 frames/s.The results prove that the proposed method fits well the requirements of rapid and accurate detection of bridge cracks and is superior to other methods.Jianwei Yuan Xinli Song Huaijian Pu Zhixiong Zheng Ziyang Niu 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3:0

12Population structure and genome‑wide evolutionary signatures reveal putative climate‑driven habitat change and local adaptation in the large yellow croaker显示文摘The large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea)is one of the most economically valuable marine fsh in China and is a notable species in ecological studies owing to a serious collapse of wild germplasm in the past few decades.The stock division and species distribution,which have important implications for ecological protection,germplasm recovery,and fshery resource management,have been debated since the 1960s.However,it is still uncertain even how many stocks exist in this species.To address this,we evaluated the fne-scale genetic structure of large yellow croaker populations distributed along the eastern and southern Chinese coastline based on 7.64 million SNP markers.Compared with the widely accepted stock boundaries proposed in the 1960s,our results revealed that a climate-driven habitat change probably occurred between the Naozhou(Nanhai)Stock and the Ming-Yuedong(Mindong)Stock.The boundary between these two stocks might have shifted northwards from the Pearl River Estuary to the northern area of the Taiwan Strait,accompanied by highly asymmetric introgression.In addition,we found divergent landscapes of natural selection between the stocks inhabiting northern and southern areas.The northern population exhibited highly agminated signatures of strong natural selection in genes related to developmental processes,whereas moderate and interspersed selective signatures were detected in many immune-related genes in the southern populations.These fndings establish the stock status and genome-wide evolutionary landscapes of large yellow croaker,providing a basis for conservation,fsheries management and further evolutionary biology studies.Baohua Chen Yulin Bai Jiaying Wang Qiaozhen Ke Zhixiong Zhou Tao Zhou Ying Pan Renxie Wu Xiongfei Wu Weiqiang Zheng Peng Xu 2023Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,2:0
13Disaster Investigation for August 20^th,2019 Sanya M4.2 Earthquake in Hainan,China显示文摘On August 20th,2019,a M4.2 earthquake occurred near Zhanan and Lixin Village,Tianya District,Sanya City,Hainan Province. We conduct field investigations in the vicinity of the epicenter which includes 25 natural villages based on the data provided by local government and finally complete the map of the earthquake intensity.Through the analysis of the houses and cracks in the earthquake area,the structure types and crack characteristics of the houses are basically unveiled.
