2Identification and characterization of rice blast resistance gene Pid4 by a combination of transcriptomic profiling and genome analysis显示文摘Map-based cloning of plant disease resistance (R) genes is time-consuming. Here, we reported the isolation of blast R gene Pid4 using comparative transcriptomic profiling and genome-wide sequence analysis. Pid4 encodes a coiled-coil nucleotide-binding site leucine-rich repeat(CC-NBS-LRR) protein and is constitutively expressed at diverse developmental stages in the rice variety Digu. The Pid4 protein is localized in both the nucleus and cytoplasm. Introduction of Pid4 into susceptible rice cultivars confers race-specific resistance to leaf and neck blast. Amino acid sequence comparison and blast resistance spectrum tests showed that Pid4 is a novel R gene, different from the previously reported R genes located in the same gene cluster. A Pid4 Indel marker was developed to facilitate the identification of Pid4 in different rice varieties. 3Sea ice extent retrieval with HY-2A scatterometer data and its assessment显示文摘A sea ice extent retrieval algorithm over the polar area based on scatterometer data of HY-2A satellite has been established.Four parameters are used for distinguishing between sea ice and ocean with Fisher's linear discriminant analysis method.The method is used to generate polar sea ice extent maps of the Arctic and Antarctic regions of the full 2013–2014 from the scatterometer aboard HY-2A(HY-2A-SCAT) backscatter data.The time series of the ice mapped imagery shows ice edge evolution and indicates a similar seasonal change trend with total ice area from DMSP-F17 Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder(SSMIS) sea ice concentration data.For both hemispheres,the HY-2A-SCAT extent correlates very well with SSMIS 15% extent for the whole year period.Compared with Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imagery,the HY-2A-SCAT ice extent shows good correlation with the Sentinel-1 SAR ice edge.Over some ice edge area,the difference is very evident because sea ice edges can be very dynamic and move several kilometers in a single day.SHI Lijian LI Mingming ZHAO Chaofang WANG Zhixiong SHI Yingni ZOU Juhong ZENG Tao 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,8:5
4Rupture process of the Wenchuan M8.0 earthquake of Sichuan, China: the segmentation feature显示文摘Moment tensor solution, rupture process and rupture characteristics of the great Wenchuan M8.0 earthquake are studied by using 39 long-period P and SH waveforms with evenly azimuth coverage of stations. Our results reveal that the Wenchuan M8.0 event consisted of 5 sub-events of Mw≥7.3 occurring succesively in time and space. Rupture started with a Mw7.3 introductory strike-slip faulting in the first 12 s, then within 12?40 s, two sub-events with Mw7.6 and Mw7.4 occurred within 80 km northeast from the initial point with the dominant rupture type of thrust moving. From 40 to 62 s, a Mw7.5 and Mw7.4 right-lateral strike-slip type of sub-events occurred on the two sides of Beichuan, 120 km away northeast from the initial point. The whole rupture process lasted 105 s and unilaterally propagated from the initial point on the WS section of the Yingxiu-Beichuan fault to the NE direction, resulting in a 230-km-long surface rupture zone and the average surface dislocation is up to 4 m. Two asperities are identified and the whole rupture process is formed by WS and NE parts. In the WS part named Dujiangyang-Wenchuan, where the initial point is located, the rupture process showed reverse faulting with the maximum slip of 8.2 m. Around Mianzhu, rupture changed to right-lateral strike slip faulting and formed a Beichuan-Qingchuan large slip area. The rupture area on this part is about 10 km in depth, shallower than on the WS part. The maximum slip is 6.53 m. Consequently, there formed 2 segments with the surface dislocation larger than 6 m. One is the Dujiangyan-Wenchuan segment with the maximum surface displacement of 6.44 m, the other is the Beichuan-Qingchuan segment with the maximum surface displacement of 6.53 m. 6Shorter alkyl chain in thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione(TPD)-based large bandgap polymer donors – Yield efficient non-fullerene polymer solar cells显示文摘Typically,conjugated polymers are composed of conjugated backbones and alkyl side chains.In this contribution,a cost-effective strategy of tailoring the length of alkyl side chain is utilized to design highperforming thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione(TPD)-based large bandgap polymer donors PBDT-BiTPD(Cχ)(χ=48,52,56),in which x represents the alkyl side chain length in term of the total carbon number.A combination of light absorption,device,and morphology examinations make clear that the shorter alkyl side chains yield(i) higher crystallinity and more predominant face-on crystallite orientation in their neat and BHJ blend films,(ii) higher charge mobilities(6.7×10^(-4) cm~2 V^(-1) s^(-1) for C48 vs.3.2×10^(-4) cm~2 V^(-1) s^(-1) for C56),and negligible charge recombination,consequently,(iii) significantly improved fill-factor(FF) and short current(J_(SC)),while almost the same open circuit voltage(V_(OC)) of ca.0.82 V in their corresponding BHJ devices.In parallel,as alkyl side chain lengths decrease from C56 to C48,power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) increased from 7.8% for C56 to 11.1% for C52,and further to14.1% for C48 in their BHJ solar cells made with a narrow bandgap non-fullerene acceptor Y6.This systematic study declares that shortening the side chain,if providing appropriate solubility in device solution processing solvents,is of essential significance for developing high-performing polymer donors and further improving device photovoltaic performance.Jiaji Zhao Xuelong Huang Qingduan Li Shengjian Liu Ziqiang Fan Di Zhang Shanshan Ma Zhixiong Cao Xuechen Jiao Yue-Peng Cai Fei Huang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2:1

12A safe and efficient process for the preparation of difluoromethane in continuous flow显示文摘Difluoromethane is typically produced vialiquid-phase fluorination as performed in a batch reactor.However,this process suffers from some problems,e.g.,severe corrosion of the reactor,high safety risk,and the regeneration of the catalyst.In this paper,a flow process as performed in the tubular reactor was designed.The optimum conditions for continuous synthesis of difluoromethane were obtained as follows:the reaction temperature was 100℃,the molar ratio of dichloromethane to hydrogen fluoride was 1.6:1 and the reaction time was 300 s.The operation of the cyclic process was stable for 24 h with the conversion per pass of hydrogen fluoride up to 16.2%.The unreacted raw materials were easily reused.The deactivation of the common catalyst,antimony pentachloride,was investigated by catalyst concentration curve and XPS analysis.The approach proposed in this work is proven to be safe,efficient and low amount of catalyst.Tao Shen Xin Ge Hengjun Zhao Zhixiong Xu Shaofeng Tong Shaodong Zhou Chao Qian Xinzhi Chen 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,7:1
13Kif4A mediates resistance to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer via regulating DNA damage response显示文摘More and more patients with advanced colorectal cancer(CRC)have benefited from surgical resection or ablation following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy(nCRT),but nCRT may be ineffective and have potential risks to some patients.Therefore,it is necessary to discover effective biomarkers for predicting the nCRT efficacy in CRC patients.Chromokinesin Kif4A plays a critical role in mitosis,DNA damage repair and tumorigenesis,but its relationship with nCRT efficacy in advanced CRC remains unclear.Here,we find that Kif4A expression in pretreated tumor tissue is positively correlated with poorer tumor regression after receiving nCRT(P=0.005).Knockdown of endogenous Kif4A causes an increased sensitivity of CRC cells to chemotherapeutic drugs 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)and Cisplatin(DDP),while overexpression of Kif4A enhances resistance of CRC cells to the chemotherapeutic drugs.Furthermore,depending on its motor domain and tail domain,Kif4A regulates DNA damage response(DDR)induced by 5-FU or DDP treatment in CRC cells.In conclusion,we demonstrate that Kif4A may be a potential independent biomarker for predicting the nCRT efficacy in advanced CRC patients,and Kif4A regulates chemosensitivity of CRC cells through controlling DDR.Rui Zhang Shuanghui Liu Bojiang Gong Wenran Xie Youjuan Zhao Liang Xu Yi Zheng Shengnan Jin Chunming Ding Chang Xu Zhixiong Dong 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,7:1
14Flow characteristics around airfoils near transonic buffet onset conditions显示文摘In transonic flow,buffet is a phenomenon of flow instability caused by shock wave/boundary layer interaction and flow separation.The phenomenon is common in transonic flow,and it has serious impact on the structural strength and fatigue life of aircraft.In this paper,three typical airfoils:the supercritical OAT15A,the high-speed symmetrical NACA64A010,and the thin,transonic/supersonic NACA64A204 are selected as the research objects.The flow fields of these airfoils under pre-buffet and buffet onset conditions are simulated by Unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) method,and the mode analysis of numerical results is carried out by Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD).Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the shock wave motion,shock wave intensity,shock foot bubble and trailing edge separation,and pressure coefficient fluctuation were performed to attain deep insight of transonic buffet flow features of different airfoils near buffet onset conditions.The results of DMD analysis show that the energy proportion of the steady mode of these airfoils decreases dramatically when approaching the buffet onset angle of attack,while the growth rate of the primary mode increases inversely.It was found that at the onset of buffet,there exist different degrees of merging behavior between shock foot bubble and trailing edge separation during one buffet cycle,and the instability of shock wave and separation induced shear layer are closely related to the merging behavior.Yanxiong ZHAO Zhixiong DAI Yun TIAN Yuexi XIONG 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,5:1
15Efficacy and safety of anlotinib as an adjuvant therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma patients with a high risk of postoperative recurrence显示文摘Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has a high rate of postoperative recurrence and lacks an effective treatment to prevent recurrence.This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of anlotinib in postoperative adjuvant therapy for HCC patients with high-risk recurrence factors.Methods:For this multicenter,retrospective study,we recruited 63 HCC patients who received either anlotinib(n=27)or transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)(n=36)from six research centers in China between March 2019 and October 2020.The primary endpoint was disease-free survival(DFS)and the secondary endpoints were overall survival(OS)and safety.Results:In this study,the median follow-up time was 25.9 and 26.8 months in the anlotinib and TACE groups,respectively.There was no significant difference in the median DFS between the anlotinib[26.8 months,95%confidence interval(95%CI):6.8-NE]and TACE groups(20.6 months,95%CI:8.4-NE).The 12-month OS rates in the anlotinib and TACE groups were 96.3%and 97.2%,respectively.In the anlotinib group,19 of 27patients(70.4%)experienced treatment-emergent adverse events,with the most common events(≥10%)being hypertension(22.2%)and decreased platelet count(22.2%).Conclusions:The results indicate that anlotinib,as a new,orally administered tyrosine kinase inhibitor,has the same efficacy as TACE,and side effects can be well controlled.Jianguo Wang Xiaonan Xiang Zhixiong Shi Hui Zhang Quanbao Zhang Zhikun Liu Guangjie Zhao Chuanxing Wu Qiang Wei Lin Zhong Zhengxin Wang Guoyue Lv Shusen Zheng Xiao Xu 2023Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2023,35,4:0
16Decabromodiphenyl ether induces the chromosome association disorders of spermatocytes and deformation failures of spermatids in mice显示文摘The environmental presence of decabromodiphenyl ether(BDE-209),which is toxic to the male reproductive system,is widespread.The current study investigated its mechanism of toxicity in mice.The results showed,that BDE-209 induced DNA damage,decreased the expression of the promoter of meiosis spermatogenesis-and oogenesis-specific basic helix-loop-helix 1(Sohlh1),meiosis related-factors Lethal(3)malignant brain tumor like 2(L3MBTL2),PIWI-like protein 2(MILI),Cyclin-dependent kinase 2(CDK2),Cyclin A,synaptonemal complex protein 1(SYCP1)and synaptonemal complex protein 3(SYCP3),and caused spermatogenic cell apoptosis,resulting in a decrease in sperm quantity and quality.Furthermore,BDE-209 downregulated the levels of anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome(APC/C),increased the expression of PIWI-like protein 1(MIWI)in the cytoplasm of elongating spermatids,and decreased the nuclear levels of RING finger protein 8(RNF8),ubiquitinated(ub)-H2A/ub-H2B,and Protamine 1(PRM1)/Protamine 2(PRM2),while increasing H2A/H2B nuclear levels in spermatids.The reproductive toxicity was persistent for 50 days following the withdrawal of BDE-209 exposure.The results suggested that BDE-209 inhibits the initiation of meiosis by decreasing the expression of Sohlh1.Furthermore,the reduced expression of L3MBTL2 inhibited the formation of chromosomal synaptonemal complexes by depressing the expression of meiosis regulators affecting the meiotic progression and also inhibited histone ubiquitination preventing the replacement of histones by protamines,by preventing RNF8 from entering nuclei,which affected the evolution of spermatids into mature sperm.Jinglong Xue Xiangyang Li Yafei Chi Leqiang Gao Yue Zhang Yan Wang Moxuan Zhao Jialiu Wei Zhixiong Shi Xianqing Zhou 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
17Towards Developing a CAS E- Journal Archiving System显示文摘As a part of NSTL proposed long-term preservation of digital information network, the National Science Library of CAS (NSLC) constructed a long-term preservation system of electronic journals called CAS E-Journal Archiving System, which was based on OAIS and adapted Fedora as the fundament system. The system chose a certain amount of electronic journals as pilot resources. Through three major system functional components comprising ingest, preservation management and data dissemination, the system took the long-term preservation of digital objects function into practice. The system is designed to be open and scalable. It realized digital objects management and lifecycle management. 18Fuel economy of multiple conditions self-adaptive tractors with hydro-mechanical CVT显示文摘Fuel economy is one of the most important properties of wheeled tractors.To improve the fuel economy,it is necessary to improve the engine fuel economy and the tractive efficiency of the driving mechanism.By analyzing the fuel economy evaluation index of wheeled tractors,the correlation among the tractor specific fuel consumption,the engine effective specific fuel consumption and the tractive efficiency of the driving mechanism were clarified in this paper.A tractor with a new type of hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission(HMCVT)was designed and its whole model was established too.On the basis of each module’s simulation model,the binary speed ratio matching simulation model of the gearbox-engine system was obtained by the control system reconstruction,and the fuel economy simulation analysis of the wheeled tractor with HMCVT was carried out under the two typical working conditions of plowing and sowing.Compared with the current national standard,the fuel economy of the newly designed wheeled tractors with the power of 130 kW was 380 g/(kW·h),specific fuel consumption was reduced by 21.1%.The results showed that the new tractor fuel economy was greatly improved.Further,automatic navigation technology can be combined with the self-adaptive tractors to adapt to different working conditions and achieve the optimal fuel economy,which can be applied in precision agriculture.Maohua Xiao Jing Zhao Yuewen Wang Haijun Zhang Zhixiong Lu Weihua Wei 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3:0

20Thermal–moisture dynamics and thermal stability of active layer in response to wet/dry conditions in the central region of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau,China显示文摘The amount of rainfall varies unevenly in different regions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with some regions becoming wetter and others drier. Precipitation has an important impact on the process of surface energy balance and the energy-water transfer within soils. To clarify the thermal-moisture dynamics and thermal stability of the active layer in permafrost regions under wet/dry conditions, the verified water-vapour-heat coupling model was used. Changes in the surface energy balance, energy-water transfer within the soil, and thickness of the active layer were quantitatively analyzed. The results demonstrate that rainfall changes significantly affect the Bowen ratio, which in turn affects surface energy exchange. Under wet/dry conditions, there is a positive correlation between rainfall and liquid water flux under the hydraulic gradient;water vapour migration is the main form under the temperature gradient, which indicates that the influence of water vapour migration on thermalmoisture dynamics of the active layer cannot be neglected. Concurrently, regardless of wet or dry conditions,disturbance of the heat transport by conduction caused by rainfall is stronger than that of convection by liquid water. In addition, when rainfall decreases by 1.5 times(212 mm) and increases by 1.5 times(477 mm), the thickness of the active layer increases by 0.12 m and decreases by 0.21 m, respectively. The results show that dry conditions are not conducive to the preservation of frozen soil;however, wet conditions are conducive to the preservation of frozen soil, although there is a threshold value.
