| 1 | Field experiment of subgrade vibration induced by passing train in a seasonally frozen region of Daqing显示文摘The vibration characteristics and attenuation of the subgrade caused by passing trains in a seasonally frozen region of Daqing, China are investigated. Three fi eld experiments were conducted during different times through the year, in normal, freezing and thawing periods, respectively, and the influence of the season, train speed and train type, is described in this paper. The results show that: (1) the vertical component is the greatest among the three components of the measured vibration near the rail track, and as the distance to the railway track increases, the dominant vibration depends on the season. (2) Compared with the vibration in the normal period, the vertical and longitudinal vibrations increase while the lateral vibration decreases in the freezing period. However, in the thawing period, the vertical and longitudinal vibrations decrease, and the lateral vibration increases. (3) As train speeds increase, the subgrade vibration increases. (4) The vibration induced by a freight train is greater than by a passenger train. | 2 | Aqueous extract of Taxus Chinensis (Pilger) Rehd inhibits lung carcinoma A549 cells through the epidermal growth factor receptor/mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway in vitro and in vivo显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the anticancer mechanismof aqueous extract of Taxus Chinensis (Pilger) Rehd (AETC).METHODS: The serum pharmacological method was used to avoid interference from administration of the crude medicinal herbs. Eight purebred New Zealand rabbits were used for preparation of serum containing various concentrations of AETC. Forty-eightBalb/c-nu mice were used for in vivo experiments. The effects of serum containing AETC on the proliferation of A549 cells and expression levels of the epidermal growth factor receptor/mitogen-activated protein kinase(EGFR/MAPK) pathway-related proteins in vitro were investigated. Additionally, the effects on the growth of A549 xenografts in nudemice,and expression levels of the EGFR/MAPK pathway-related proteins in the xenografts,were investigated.RESULTS: 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay revealed that the serum containing AETC significantly decreased the viability of A549 cells in a dose-dependent manner.Western blot showed that the serum containing various concentrations of AETC strongly reduced the levels of phospho-Jun N-terminal kinase(p-JNK) and phospho-extracellular signal-regulated kinase1/2(ERK1/2) while it increased the level of p-p38. However, no significant effects on the expression levels of JNK, ERK1/2, and p38 MAPK were found. In addition, an anticancer effect from AETC was observed invivo in the Balb/c-nu mice bearing A549xenografts.CONCLUSION: AETC has significant effects on the growth of A549 xenografts and on the activity of the EGFR/MAPK pathway. | 3 | Monodomain Liquid Crystals of Two-Dimensional Sheets by Boundary-Free Sheargraphy显示文摘Eliminating topological defects to achieve monodomain liquid crystals is highly significant for the fundamental studies of soft matter and building long-range ordered materials.However,liquid crystals are metastable and sensitive to external stimuli,such as flow,confinement,and electromagnetic fields,which cause their intrinsic polycrystallinity and topological defects.Here,we achieve the monodomain liquid crystals of graphene oxide over 30 cm through boundary-free sheargraphy.The obtained monodomain liquid crystals exhibit large-area uniform alignment of sheets,which has the same optical polarized angle and intensity.The monodomain liquid crystals provide bidirectionally ordered skeletons,which can be applied as lightweight thermal management materials with bidirectionally high thermal and electrical conductivity.Furthermore,we extend the controllable topology of two-dimensional colloids by introducing singularities and disclinations in monodomain liquid crystals.Topological structures with defect strength from−2 to+2 were realized.This work provides a facile methodology to study the structural order of soft matter at a macroscopic level,facilitating the fabrication of metamaterials with tunable and highly anisotropic architectures. | Min Cao Senping Liu Qingli Zhu Ya Wang Jingyu Ma Zeshen Li Dan Chang Enhui Zhu Xin Ming Yingjun Liu Yanqiu Jiang Zhen Xu Chao Gao | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,12: | 2 |
