Towards developing Mg alloys with simultaneously improved strength and corrosion resistance via RE alloying显示文摘Magnesium(Mg)alloys have received an increasing interest in the past two decades for their tremendous application potential. The strength and corrosion resistance levels of common Mg alloys are still relativity low,and especially they are to be improved simultaneously. The addition of rare earth(RE)to Mg alloys is believed to be beneficial for both the strength and corrosion resistance, and some RE-modified traditional Mg alloys have been studied and some new RE-containing Mg alloys have been developed by now. However, further simultaneous improvements in both strength and anti-corrosion require a better understanding of the behavior and mechanism of RE in Mg alloys. In this review, the common influence mechanisms of RE on mechanical and anti-corrosion properties of Mg alloys are summarized, and the latest research progress of RE-containing Mg alloys with simultaneously improved strength and corrosion resistance are introduced. It is demonstrated that the research on high-strength and high corrosion resistant RE-containing Mg alloys is still immature, and some opinions and suggestions are put forward for the synergetic improvement of the strength and corrosion resistance of Mg alloys,so as to contribute to the further development of Mg alloys with higher performance.Jinshu Xie Jinghuai Zhang Zihao You Shujuan Liu Kai Guan Ruizhi Wu Jun Wang Jing Feng 2021Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,1:25
Microstructures and mechanical properties of a newly developed high-pressure die casting Mg-Zn-RE alloy显示文摘A newly developed Mg-4Zn-2La-3Y alloy with high strength was fabricated by high-pressure die casting method, and its microstructures were thoroughly studied using transmission electron microscopy. The results demonstrate that it owns fine grains and approximately highly interconnected intermetallic phase skeletons, and exhibits ultra-high strength at both room and high temperatures.Interestingly, the eutectic intermetallic skeleton of this alloys is consisted of numerous fine particles, which are mainly consisted of two intermetallic phases, namely W and Mg12RE.Multiple{101}twins and SFs were found in the Mg12RE phase while a few of SFs in the W phase.Additionally, minor long-period stacking ordered phase was observed in the eutectoid phase, and it probably nucleated on the Mg12RE phase following a certain OR as(0002)14H//(110)Mg12REand[1120]14H//[111]Mg12RE,or(0002)14H//(211)Mg12REand[1120]14H//[111]Mg12RE.This special intermetallic skeleton with many interfaces and planar faults can efficiently transfer dislocations across grain boundaries, and this is the key factor for the outstanding mechanical properties of the studied alloy.Xiru Hua Qiang Yang Dongdong Zhang Fanzhi Meng Chong Chen Zihao You Jinghuai Zhang Shuhui Lv Jian Meng 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,18:3
Decoding Cortical Glial Cell Development显示文摘Mouse cortical radial glial cells(RGCs)are primary neural stem cells that give rise to cortical oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, and olfactory bulb(OB)GABAergic interneurons in late embryogenesis. There are fundamental gaps in understanding how these diverse cell subtypes are generated. Here,by combining single-cell RNA-Seq with intersectional lineage analyses,we show that beginning at around E16.5,neocortical RGCs start to generate ASCL1^(+)EGFR^(+)apical multipotent intermediate progenitors(MIPCs),which then differentiate into basal MIPCs that express ASCL1,EGFR,OLIG2,and MKI67.These basal MIPCs undergo several rounds of divisions to generate most of the cortical oligodendrocytes and astrocytes and a subpopulation of OB interneurons.Finally,single-cell ATAC-Seq supported our model for the genetic logic underlying the specification and differentiation of cortical glial cells and OB interneurons.Taken together, this work reveals the process of cortical radial glial cell lineage progression and the developmental origins of cortical astrocytes and oligodendrocytes.Xiaosu Li Guoping Liu Lin Yang Zhenmeiyu Li Zhuangzhi Zhang Zhejun Xu Yuqun Cai Heng Du Zihao Su Ziwu Wang Yangyang Duan Haotian Chen Zicong Shang Yan You Qi Zhang Miao He Bin Chen Zhengang Yang 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,4:2
Artificial Intelligence in Pharmaceutical Sciences显示文摘Drug discovery and development affects various aspects of human health and dramatically impacts the pharmaceutical market. However, investments in a new drug often go unrewarded due to the long and complex process of drug research and development(R&D).With the advancement of experimental technology and computer hardware, artificial intelligence(AI)has recently emerged as a leading tool in analyzing abundant and high-dimensional data.Explosive growth in the size of biomedical data provides advantages in applying AI in all stages of drug R&D.Driven by big data in biomedicine,AI has led to a revolution in drug R&D,due to its ability to discover new drugs more efficiently and at lower cost. This review begins with a brief overview of common AI models in the field of drug discovery;then,it summarizes and discusses in depth their specific applications in various stages of drug R&D,such as target discovery, drug discovery and design, preclinical research, automated drug synthesis, and influences in the pharmaceutical market. Finally, the major limitations of AI in drug R&D are fully discussed and possible solutions are proposed.Mingkun Lu Jiayi Yin Qi Zhu Gaole Lin Minjie Mou Fuyao Liu Ziqi Pan Nanxin You Xichen Lian Fengcheng Li Hongning Zhang Lingyan Zheng Wei Zhang Hanyu Zhang Zihao Shen Zhen Gu Honglin Li Feng Zhu 2023Engineering2023,,8:1
TaMADS29 interacts with TaNF-YB1 to synergistically regulate early grain development in bread wheat显示文摘Grain development is a crucial determinant of yield and quality in bread wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).However,the regulatory mechanisms underlying wheat grain development remain elusive. Here we report how Ta MADS29 interacts with Ta NF-YB1 to synergistically regulate early grain development in bread wheat. The tamads29 mutants generated by CRISPR/Cas9 exhibited severe grain filling deficiency, coupled with excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and abnormal programmed cell death that occurred in early developing grains, while overexpression of Ta MADS29 increased grain width and1,000-kernel weight.Further analysis revealed that Ta MADS29 interacted directly with Ta NF-YB1;null mutation in Ta NF-YB1caused grain developmental deficiency similar to tamads29 mutants. The regulatory complex composed of Ta MADS29 and Ta NF-YB1 exercises its possible function that inhibits the excessive accumulation of ROS by regulating the genes involved in chloroplast development and photosynthesis in early developing wheat grains and prevents nucellar projection degradation and endosperm cell death, facilitating transportation of nutrients into the endosperm and wholly filling of developing grains.Collectively, our work not only discloses the molecular mechanism of MADS-box and NF-Y TFs in facilitating bread wheat grain development, but also indicates that caryopsis chloroplast might be a central regulator of grain development rather than merely a photosynthesis organelle.More importantly, our work offers an innovative way to breed high-yield wheat cultivars by controlling the ROS level in developing grains.Guoyu Liu Runqi Zhang Sen Li Rehmat Ullah Fengping Yang Zihao Wang Weilong Guo Mingshan You Baoyun Li Chaojie Xie Liangsheng Wang Jie Liu Zhongfu Ni Qixin Sun Rongqi Liang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:1
Forward modeling and inversion of the relation model between the gas content of plume and its seismic attribute显示文摘The methane bubble plume attracts interest because it offers direct evidence of seafloor gas leakage and plays an indirect role in the exploration and identification of natural gas hydrate. In this study, based on established plume models and their migration sections, three amplitude-class attributes were extracted from three formations for the migration sections of five plumes, and the correlation between the gas content and seismic attribute was obtained. As the gas content increases, the amplitude attribute correspondingly increases, and the linear correlation is relatively good. Moreover, correlation coefficients between gas content and amplitude attributes are close to 1.0.By using linear fitting, the relation model between the gas content of the plume and the seismic attribute was obtained. The relation model was subsequently used to invert the gas content from a real databearing plume.Comparison of the gas content section of the plume with the attribute section and real seismic section reveals common distribution characteristics, namely, the color of the section in the lower right corner is dark.If the amplitude value is large in the seismic section of the real plume, the amplitude attribute value is also large in the corresponding attribute section, and the inverted value of the gas content is also large(because gas content and amplitude are linearly correlated),which indicates that the plume bubbles of the section in the lower right corner is intensively distributed. Finally, the obtained gas content section of the plume can reflect the distribution of the plume bubble content more simply and intuitively, from which the distribution law of seafloor bubbles can be deduced, and this lays a foundation for the further estimation of the gas content of the plume and hydrate reserves.Canping Li Jiachun You Yanchun Tan Fengying Chen Yilin Liu Zihao Guo Xinyu Tian 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,5:1

Interlayer exciton dynamics of transition metal dichalcogenide heterostructures under electric fields显示文摘Stacking single layers of atoms on top of each other provides a fundamental way to achieve novel material systems and engineer their physical properties, which offers opportunities for exploring fundamental physics and realizing next-generation optoelectronic devices.Among the two-dimensional(2D)-stacked systems, transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC)heterostructures are particularly attractive because they host tightly-bonded interlayer excitons which possess various novel and appealing properties. These interlayer excitons have drawn significant research attention and hold high potential for the application in unique optoelectronic devices, such as polarization-and wavelength-tunable single photon emitters, valley Hall transistors, and possible high-temperature superconductors. The development of these devices requires a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental properties of these interlayer excitons and the impact of electric fields on their behaviors. In this review,we summarize the recent advances on the understanding of interlayer exciton dynamics under electric fields in TMDC heterostructures. We put emphasis on the electrical modulation of interlayer excitons’emission, the valley Hall transport of charge carriers after the separation of interlayer excitons by an electric field, and the correlation physics of interlayer excitons and charges under electrical doping and tuning.Challenges and perspectives are finally discussed for the application of TMDC heterostructures in future optoelectronics.Jian Tang Yue Zheng Ke Jiang Qi You Zhentian Yin Zihao Xie Henan Li Cheng Han Xiaoxian Zhang Yumeng Shi 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
Optimizing 2D-metal contact in layered Tin-selenide via native oxide modulation显示文摘The discovery of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor has opened up new avenues for the development of short-channel field-effect transistors(FETs)with desired electrical performance.Among them, orthorhombic tin-selenide(SnSe)has garnered increasing attention due to its potential applications in a variety of electronic, optoelectronic, and thermoelectric devices. However, the realization of high-performance SnSe FETs with low contact resistance(Rc)remains a challenge.Herein,we systematically investigate the contact of few-layer SnSe FETs through the modulation of native oxide on SnSe by using different metals. It is found that chromium(Cr)-contacted devices possess the best FET performance, such as electron mobility up to 606 cm^(2)/(V·s)at 78 K,current on/off ratio exceeding 1010,and saturation current of~550μA/μm,where a negligible Schottky barrier(SB)of~30 meV and a low contact resistance of~425Ωμm are achieved.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and cross-sectional electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)results further reveal that the improved contact arises from the Cr-induced reduction of native oxide(SnOx)to Sn,which thins the tunneling barrier for efficient electron injection. Our findings provide a deep insight into the 2D-metal contact of SnSe and pave the way for its applications in future nanoelectronics.Yue Zheng Qi You Zhentian Yin Jian Tang Ke Jiang Zihao Xie Henan Li Cheng Han Yumeng Shi 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
