1Improved oxidative tolerance in suspension‐cultured cells of C_4-pepctransgenic rice by H_2O_2 and Ca^(2+)under PEG-6000显示文摘To understand the molecular responses of PC(Overexpressing the maize C4-pepc gene, which encodes phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase(PEPC)), to drought stress at cell level, we analyzed changes in the levels of signaling molecules(hydrogen peroxide(H2O2), calcium ion(Ca2t), and nitric oxide(NO)) in suspension-cultured PC and wild-type(WT)rice(Oryza sativa L.) cell under drought stress induced by 20%polyethylene glycol 6000(PEG-6000). Results demonstrated that PC improved drought tolerance by enhancing antioxidant defense, retaining higher relative water content, survival percentages, and dry weight of cells. In addition, PEPC activity in PC under PEG treatment was strengthened by addition of H2O2 inhibitor, dimethylthiourea(DMTU) and NO synthesis inhibitor, 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide(c PTIO), respectively, while that in PC was weakened by addition of free calcium chelator, ethylene glycol-bis(b-aminoethylether)-N,N,N0,N0-tetraacetic acid(EGTA)t calcium channel outflow inhibitor, ruthenium red(RR) t plasma membrane channel blocker La(NO3)3, but EGTA t RR did Reseanot. Results also showed that NO and Ca2 twas lying downstream of H2O2 in drought-induced signaling. Calcium ion was also involved in the expression of C4-pepc in PC. 2Identifying changes in the wheat kernel proteome under heat stress using iTRAQ显示文摘Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the three major global food crops. Hightemperature stress can affect its yield and quality. Studies of the effect of hightemperature stress on wheat kernel development are important because they can reveal the stability of wheat quality and lead to the genetic improvement of wheat quality traits. In this study, the isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation(iTRAQ)method was adopted to analyze changes in the protein expression profile of wheat cultivars under high temperature stress. The protein content of wheat grain increased under heat stress, while the SDS-sedimentation value and starch content decreased.Grain filling was deficient under high temperature stress, which reduced thousandkernel weight but did not affect wheat kernel length. The 207 differentially expressed proteins identified in Gaocheng 8901 under heat stress were associated with energy metabolism, growth and development, and stress response. Gene Ontology enrichment analysis showed that the annotated proteins that were differentially expressed in Gaocheng 8901 under heat stress were involved mainly in stimulus response, abiotic stress response, stress response, and plasma membrane. A set of 78 differentially expressed proteins were assigned to 83 KEGG signaling/metabolic pathways. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that this set of proteins was significantly enriched in members of 51 pathways, and the proteins participated mainly in protein synthesis in the endoplasmic reticulum, starch and sucrose metabolism, and reaction on ribosomes. Five differentially expressed proteins were involved in protein–protein interaction networks that may greatly influence the yield and quality of wheat grain. 3Immune Responses in Wild-type Mice Against Prion Proteins Induced Using a DNA Prime-Protein Boost Strategy显示文摘Objective To break immune tolerance to prion (PrP) proteins using DNA vaccines.Methods Four different human prion DNA vaccine candidates were constructed based on the pcDNA3.1 vector:PrP‐WT expressing wild‐type PrP,Ubiq‐PrP expressing PrP fused to ubiquitin,PrP‐LII expressing PrP fused to the lysosomal integral membrane protein type II lysosome‐targeting signal,and PrP‐ER expressing PrP locating the ER.Using a prime‐boost strategy,three‐doses of DNA vaccine were injected intramuscularly into Balb/c mice,followed by two doses of PrP protein.Two weeks after the last immunization,sera and spleens were collected and PrP‐specific humoral and cellular immune responses evaluated by ELISA and ELISPOT tests.Results Higher levels of serum PrP antibodies were detected in mice vaccinated using the strategy of DNA priming followed by protein boosting.Of these,WT‐PrP,Ubiq‐PrP,and PrP‐LII induced significantly higher humoral responses.ELISPOT tests showed markedly increased numbers of IFN‐γ‐secreting T cells in mice vaccinated using the strategy of DNA priming followed by protein boosting after stimulation with recombinant PrP23‐90 and PrP23‐231.PrP‐ER inducedthe strongest T‐cell response.Conclusion Prion vaccines can break tolerance to PrP proteins and induce PrP‐specific humoral and cellular immune responses.HAN YanLing LI Yuan SONG Juan WANG Ying SHI Qi CHEN Cao ZHANG BaoYun GUO Yan LI ChaoPing HAN Jun DONG XiaoPing 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5:2
4Different mechanisms of improving CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3) perovskite solar cells brought by fluorinated or nitrogen doped graphdiyne显示文摘Fluorinated and nitrogen-doped graphdiyne(F/N-GDY)have been used in the active layer of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)for the first time.The introduction of heteroatoms turns out to be an effective method for boosted solar cells performance,which increases by 32.8%and 33.0%,better than the pristine or GDY doped PSCs.The enhanced performance can be attributed firstly to the superiority of F/N-GDY originated from the unique structure and optoelectronic properties of GDY.Then,both can further reduce surface defects and improve surface and bulk crystallinity than pristine GDY.What's more,efficiency increase caused by F-GDY is mainly attributed to the improvement of fill factor(FF),while the higher short-circuit current(Jsc)plays more important role by N-GDY doping.Most importantly,the detailed mechanism brought about by doping of F-GDY or N-GDY is expounded by systematical characterizations,especially the synchrotron radiation technique.Doping of F-GDY causes Pb and forms new Pb-F bonds between F-GDY and Pb ions.Doping of N-GDY or GDY brings about Pb(N-GDY doping induces more deviation than that of GDY due to the participation of imine N),improving its electron density and conductivity.Huan Huang Bing Liu Dan Wang Rongli Cui Xihong Guo Ying Li Shouwei Zuo Zi Yin Huanhua Wang Jing Zhang Hui Yuan Lirong Zheng Baoyun Sun 2022Nano Research2022,15,1:2

6Efficient Deployment of Multiple UAVs for IoT Communication in Dynamic Environment显示文摘The application of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-mounted base stations is emerging as an effective solution to provide wireless communication service for a target region containing some smart objects(SOs)in internet of things(IoT).This paper investigates the efficient deployment problem of multiple UAVs for IoT communication in dynamic environment.We first define a measurement of communication performance of UAVto-SO in the target region which is regarded as the optimization objective.The state of one SO is active when it needs to transmit or receive the data;otherwise,silent.The switch of two different states is implemented with a certain probability that results in a dynamic communication environment.In the dynamic environment,the active states of SOs cannot be known by UAVs in advance and only neighbouring UAVs can communicate with each other.To overcome these challenges in the deployment,we leverage a game-theoretic learning approach to solve the position-selected problem.This problem is modeled a stochastic game,which is proven that it is an exact potential game and exists the best Nash equilibria(NE).Furthermore,a distributed position optimization algorithm is proposed,which can converge to a pure-strategy NE.Numerical results demonstrate the excellent performance of our proposed algorithm.Haibo Dai Haiyang Zhang Chunguo Li Baoyun Wang 2020China Communications2020,17,1:1
7TaMADS29 interacts with TaNF-YB1 to synergistically regulate early grain development in bread wheat显示文摘Grain development is a crucial determinant of yield and quality in bread wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).However,the regulatory mechanisms underlying wheat grain development remain elusive.Here we report how Ta MADS29 interacts with Ta NF-YB1 to synergistically regulate early grain development in bread wheat.The tamads29 mutants generated by CRISPR/Cas9 exhibited severe grain filling deficiency,coupled with excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and abnormal programmed cell death that occurred in early developing grains,while overexpression of Ta MADS29 increased grain width and1,000-kernel weight.Further analysis revealed that Ta MADS29 interacted directly with Ta NF-YB1;null mutation in Ta NF-YB1caused grain developmental deficiency similar to tamads29 mutants.The regulatory complex composed of Ta MADS29 and Ta NF-YB1 exercises its possible function that inhibits the excessive accumulation of ROS by regulating the genes involved in chloroplast development and photosynthesis in early developing wheat grains and prevents nucellar projection degradation and endosperm cell death,facilitating transportation of nutrients into the endosperm and wholly filling of developing grains.Collectively,our work not only discloses the molecular mechanism of MADS-box and NF-Y TFs in facilitating bread wheat grain development,but also indicates that caryopsis chloroplast might be a central regulator of grain development rather than merely a photosynthesis organelle.More importantly,our work offers an innovative way to breed high-yield wheat cultivars by controlling the ROS level in developing grains.Guoyu Liu Runqi Zhang Sen Li Rehmat Ullah Fengping Yang Zihao Wang Weilong Guo Mingshan You Baoyun Li Chaojie Xie Liangsheng Wang Jie Liu Zhongfu Ni Qixin Sun Rongqi Liang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:1
8Transcriptome analysis of wheat grain using RNA-Seq显示文摘With the increase in consumer demand,wheat grain quality improvement has become a focus in China and worldwide.Transcriptome analysis is a powerful approach to research grain traits and elucidate their genetic regulation.In this study,two cDNA libraries from the developing grain and leaf-stem components of bread wheat cultivar,Nongda211,were sequenced using Roche/454 technology.There were 1061274 and 1516564 clean reads generated from grain and leaf-stem,respectively.A total of 61393 high-quality unigenes were obtained with an average length of 1456 bp after de novo assembly.The analysis of the 61393 unigenes involved in the biological processes of the grain showed that there were 7355 differentially expressed genes upregulated in the grain library.Gene ontology enrichment and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis showed that many transcription products and transcription factors associated with carbohydrate and protein metabolism were abundantly expressed in the grain.These results contribute to excavate genes associated with wheat quality and further study how they interact.Liu WEI Zhihui WU Yufeng ZHANG Dandan GUO Yuzhou XU Weixia CHEN Haiying ZHOU Mingshan YOU Baoyun LI 2014Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2014,1,3:1

15New hydrous phases in the Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-H_(2)O system under the mantle transition zone conditions显示文摘Hydrous minerals in the subducting slabs are potential water carriers into the deep mantle,and thus the synthesis of new hydrous phases is significant in our understanding of water circulation throughout the Earth’s interior.In this study,we report the two new hydrous phases,Al_(2)SiO_(6)H_(2)and Al_(5.5)Si_(4)O_(18)H_(3.5)(hereafter referred to simply as phases Psi and Phi,respectively),which are synthesized in the Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-H_(2)O system at 15.5 GPa,1400℃and 17.5 GPa,1600℃ by using Sakura2500-ton multi-anvil apparatus.The luminescence spectra of Cr3+show the phase Psi has characteristic peaks at 687,693 and705 nm,while phase Phi has characteristic peaks at 691,696 and 708 nm.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) refinements yield a monoclinic structure of both phases (space group P2_(1)) with ideal chemical formulae of Al_(2)SiO6H2and Al5.5Si4O18H3.5respectively.The determined lattice parameters for phase Psi are a=9.4168±0.0016Å,b=4.3441±0.0007Å,c=9.4360±0.002Åand β=119.726±0.005°at ambient pressure and 300 K,while the phase Phi has a=7.2549±0.0018Å,b=4.3144±0.001Å,c=8.0520±0.002Å,and β=101.740±0.009°at ambient pressure and 250 K.Electron microprobe analyses (EPMA) show the chemical compositions of phases Psi and Phi to be Al_(1.99)Si_(0.85)O_(6)H_(2.62)and Al_(5.58)Si_(2.81)O_(18)H_(8.03),respectively,which slightly deviate from the ideal formulae inferred from SCXRD measurements.This may result from the disorder or substitution of Al and Si by H in the crystal structures under our synthesis conditions.Our study suggests that phases Psi and Phi are the two potential water carriers at the upper part of the mantle transitions zone,providing new insights into how deep water is stored in this region.Baoyun WANG Jin LIU Suyu FU Pu XIAO Li LI Xing DING Wansheng XIAO 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,4:0

The morphology and microstructure of polyaniline nanofibers are affected by the concentrations and proportions of the reactants. A special kind of sea cucumber-like polyaniline nanofibers can be prepared under control of reaction conditions. Secondary growth is the formation mechanism. 20Copy number variation of B1 controls awn length in wheat显示文摘Wheat awns contribute to photosynthesis and grain production.In this study,an F2population and F2:3families from a cross between the awned line 7D12 and the Chinese awnless variety Shiyou 20(SY20)were used to identify loci associated with awn length.Bulked-segregant RNA sequencing and linkage mapping identified a single dominant locus in a 0.3 cM interval on chromosome 5AL.Five genes were in the interval,including the recently cloned awn inhibitor B1.Although a single copy of the B1 gene was detected in 7D12,SY20 carried five copies of the gene.Increased copy number of B1 in SY20enhanced gene expression.Based on sequence variation among the promoter regions of five B1 gene copies in SY20,two dominant markers were developed and found to cosegregate with B1 in a population of 931 wheat accessions.All 77 awnless accessions harbored sequence variations in the B1 promoter regions similar to those of SY20 and thus carried multiple copies of the gene,whereas 15 randomly selected awned wheats carried only one copy.These results suggest that an increase in copy number of the B1 gene is associated with inhibition of awn length.Jinlong Li Xin Xin Fangyao Sun Zhenzhen Zhu Xiangru Xu Jiatian Yang Xiaoming Xie Jiazheng Yu Xiaobo Wang Sen Li Shilin Tian Baoyun Li Chaojie Xie Jun Ma 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,3:0
