1Recent progress in terahertz modulation using photonic structures based on two-dimensional materials显示文摘Terahertz(THz)technology has attracted great attention in the past few decades for its unique applications in various fields,including spectroscopy,noninvasive detection,wireless communications,and imaging.In parallel to this,the practical,fast,and broadband modulation of THz waves is becoming indispensable.Two-dimensional(2D)materials exhibit unusual optical and electrical properties,which has prompted tremendous interest and significant advances in THz modulation.This review provides the recent progress in 2D materials-based THz modulators,outlining the operating principles,including all-optical,electro-optic,magneto-optic,and other exotic mechanisms.We focus on the recent advances in THz modulation by the designed photonic structures,such as heterostructure,metamaterial,capacitor,optical cavity,and waveguide integration.Lastly,we discussed the challenges and opportunities for 2D materials-based THz modulators and presented our prospects for the future development.Ziming Wang Jie Qiao Shuqi Zhao Shilei Wang Chuan He Xutang Tao Shanpeng Wang 2021InfoMat2021,3,10:4
2Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 4Channel-wise attention model-based fire and rating level detection in video显示文摘Due to natural disaster and global warning, one can expect unexpected fire, which causes panic among people and extent to death. To reduce the impact of fire, the authors propose a new method for predicting and rating fire in video through deep-learning models in this work such that rescue team can save lives of people. The proposed method explores a hybrid deep convolutional neural network, which involves motion detection and maximally stable extremal region for detecting and rating fire in video. Further, the authors propose to use a channel-wise attention mechanism of the deep neural network for detecting rating of fire level. 6Subwavelength filter and sensor design based on end-coupled composited ring-groove resonator显示文摘A plasmonic filter and sensor is designed based on an end-coupled ring-groove composited resonator(RGCR).According to the magnetic field distributions of the resonance modes,a horizontal or vertical groove is added to the perfect ring resonator,and the transmission peaks for the 1st and the 2nd modes can be linearly changed by the length of the groove.In this case,the proposed structure can act as an on-chip optical filter with flexible wavelength manipulation.When the groove is rotated with an angle of?/4,Fano resonance arises due to the mode interference.Dual asymmetric sharp transmission peaks are achieved around the wavelength of the former 2nd resonance mode.High figure of merit and high sensitivity are obtained for the structure,and it is believed that the device can find widely applications in the biochemistry sensing area.The corresponding spectra and the propagation characteristics are numerically investigated by using the finite-difference time-domain method.Kunhua Wen Yihua Hu Li Chen Jinyun Zhou Miao He Liang Lei Ziming Meng 2017光电工程2017,44,2:1
7Influence of circulation types on temporal and spatial variations of ozone in Beijing显示文摘This study analyzes the impact of circulation types(CTs)on ozone(O_(3))pollution in Beijing.The easterly high-pressure(SWW)circulation occurred most frequently(30%;276 day),followed by northwesterly high-pressure(AN)circulation(24.3%;224 day).The SWW type had the highest O_(3) anomaly of+17.28μg/m^(3),which was caused by excellent photochemical reactions,poor diffusion ability and regional transport.Due to the higher humidity and precipitation in the low-pressure type(C),the O_(3) increase(+8.02μg/m^(3))was less than that in the SWW type.Good diffusion/wet deposition and weak formation ability contributed to O_(3) decrease in AN(-12.54μg/m^(3))and northerly high-pressure(ESN)CTs(-12.26μg/m^(3)).The intra-area transport of O_(3) was significant in polluted circulations(SWW-and C-CTs).In addition,higher temperature,radiation and less rainfall also contributed to higher O_(3) in northern Beijing under the SWW type.For the clean CTs(AN and ESN CTs),precursor amount and intra-area transport played a dominant role in O_(3) distribution.Under the northeasterly low-pressure CT,better formation conditions and higher precursor amount combined with the intra-area southerly transport to cause higher O_(3) values in the south than in the north.The higher O_(3) in the northwestern area under the northeasterly high-pressure type was influenced by weaker titration loss and high O_(3) concentration in previous day.Annual variation in the CTs contributed up to 86.1%of the annual variation in O_(3).About 78%-83%of the diurnal variation in O_(3) resulted from local meteorological factors.Xiaowan Zhu JinWu Guiqian Tang Lin Qiao Tingting Han Xiaomei Yin Xiangxue Liu Ziming Li Yajun Xiong Di He Zhiqiang Ma 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,8:1

10Variation in Sunshine Duration and Related Aerosol Influences at Shangdianzi GAW Station, China: 1958–2021显示文摘Sunshine duration(SD) is adopted widely to study global dimming/brightening. However, long-term simultaneous measurements of SD and closely related impact factors require further analysis to elucidate how and why SD has varied during the past decades. In this study, a long-term(1958–2021) SD data series obtained from the Shangdianzi Global Atmosphere Watch(GAW) station in China was analyzed to detect linear trends, climatic jumps, and climatic periods in SD using linear fitting, the Mann–Kendall trend test, and the continuous wavelet transform method. Annual SD exhibited steady dimming(-67.3 h decade-1) before 2010, followed by a period of brightening(189.9 h decade-1)during 2011–2020. An abrupt jump in annual SD occurred in 1995, and the annual SD anomaly exhibited significant oscillation with ~3-yr periodicity during 1960–1978. Partial least squares analysis revealed that annual SD anomaly was associated with variations in relative humidity, gale days, cloud cover, and black carbon(BC). Further analysis of the clear-sky daily sunshine percentage(DSP) and simultaneous measurements of aerosol properties, including aerosol optical depth, aerosol extinction coefficient, single scattering albedo(SSA), BC, and total suspended particulates, suggested that variation in DSP was affected primarily by aerosol scattering and absorption. Furthermore, the hourly clear-sky SD at high aerosol loading was approximately 60% and 56% of that at middle and low aerosol loadings, respectively. 13Wavelength-tunable organic semiconductor lasers based on elastic distributed feedback gratings显示文摘Wavelength-tunable organic semiconductor lasers based on mechanically stretchable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) gratings were developed. The intrinsic stretchability of PDMS was explored to modulate the period of the distributed feedback gratings for fine tuning the lasing wavelength. Notably, elastic lasers based on three typical light-emitting molecules show com-parable lasing threshold values analogous to rigid devices and a continuous wavelength tunability of about 10 nm by mechanic-al stretching. In addition, the stretchability provides a simple solution for dynamically tuning the lasing wavelength in a spec-tral range that is challenging to achieve for inorganic counterparts. 14Elimination of the yellow pigment gene PSY-E2 tightly linked to the Fusarium head blight resistance gene Fhb7 from Thinopyrum ponticum显示文摘Fhb7 is a major gene that was transferred from Thinopyrum ponticum to chromosome 7D of wheat(Triticum aestivum)and confers resistance to both Fusarium head blight(FHB)and Fusarium crown rot(FCR).However,Fhb7 is tightly linked to the PSY-E2 gene,which causes yellow flour,limiting its application in breeding.To break this linkage,marker K-PSY was developed for tagging PSY-E2 and used with Fhb7 markers to identify recombination between the two genes.Screening 21,000 BC1F2 backcross progeny(Chinese Spring ph1bph1b*2/SDAU 2028)revealed two Fhb7^(+)wheat-Tp7el_(2)L lines,Shannong 2–16and Shannong 16–1,that carry a desired truncated Fhb7^(+)translocation segment without PSY-E2.The two lines show levels of resistance to FHB and FCR similar to those of the original translocation line SDAU 2028,but have white flour.To facilitate Fhb7 use in wheat breeding,STS markers were developed and used to isolate Fhb7 on a truncated Tp7el_(2) translocation segment.Near-isogenic lines carrying the Fhb7^(+)segment were generated in the backgrounds of three commercial cultivars,and Fhb7^(+)lines showed increased FHB and FCR resistance without yield penalty.The breakage of the tight linkage between Fhb7 and PSY-E2 via homoeologous recombination provides genetic resources for improvement of wheat resistance to FHB and FCR and permit the large-scale deployment of Fhb7 in breeding using marker-assisted selection.Xuefeng Li Dong Li Yu Xuan Ziming He Lanfei Zhao Yongchao Hao Wenyang Ge Shoushen Xu Bingqian Hou Biao Wang Jun Guo Wenwen Liu Mingzhu Li Yi Han Cunyao Bo Yinguang Bao Zengjun Qi Steven S.Xu Guihua Bai Hongwei Wang Lingrang Kong 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,3:0
15MiR-4262 regulates differentiation and osteogenesis of humanperiodontal stem cells by targeting suppressor of cytokinesignaling 4显示文摘Periodontitis,as a chronic inflammatory disease,remains unsolved,and the pathogenesis of this disease has not been fully elucidated.In this study,the effect of miR-4262 was investigated in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)induced human periodontal stem cells(hPDLSCs)for the first time.The gene expression involved in this study was determined using polymerase chain reaction(PCR),the expressions of relevant proteins were determined by western blot analysis,and the levels of IL-1β,IL-6,and MCP-1 were estimated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)assay.The luciferase reporter assay was performed for verification of the target gene,alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity detection was used for differentiation capacity,and alizarin red staining assay was used for mineralization capacity.The inhibition of miRNA-4262,which resulted in the upregulation of suppressor of cytokine signaling 4(SOCS4),showed protective effects,including anti-inflammation and promotional effects on osteogenesis as well as differentiation in TNF-αinduced hPDLSCs.These results provided insights into the roles of miRNAs in regulating the inflammatory response,differentiation,and osteogenesis in hPDLSCs,which may promote the understanding of the mechanisms of periodontitis and find out a better therapeutic application.ZIMING WEI YARONG WANG MINGYUAN DU MINJIE LI HONG HE 2020BIOCELL2020,44,4:0
16A general quantum minimum searching algorithm with high success rate and its implementation显示文摘Finding a minimum is a fundamental calculation in many quantum algorithms.However,challenges are faced in demonstrating it effectively in real quantum computers.In practice,the number of solutions is unknown,and there is no universal encoding method.Besides that,current quantum computers have limited resources.To alleviate these problems,this paper proposes a general quantum minimum searching algorithm.An adaptive estimation method is adopted to calculate the number of solutions,and a quantum encoding circuit for arbitrary databases is presented for the first time,which improves the universality of the algorithm and helps it achieve a nearly 100%success rate in a series of random databases.Moreover,gate complexity is reduced by our simplified Oracle,and the realizability of the algorithm is verified on a superconducting quantum computer.Our algorithm can serve as a subroutine for various quantum algorithms to promote their implementation in the Noisy IntermediateScale Quantum era.Yi Zeng Ziming Dong Hao Wang Jin He Qijun Huang Sheng Chang 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,4:0

18Theoretical study on magnetocaloric effect and its electric-field regulation in CrI_(3)/metal heterostructure显示文摘The extraordinary properties of a heterostructure by stacking atom-thick van der Waals(vdW)magnets have been extensively studied.However,the magnetocaloric effect(MCE)of heterostructures that are based on monolayer magnets remains to be explored.Herein,we deliberate MCE of vd W heterostructure composed of a monolayer CrI_(3)and metal atomic layers(Ag,Hf,Au,and Pb).It is revealed that heterostructure engineering by introducing metal substrate can improve MCE of CrI_(3),particularly boosting relative cooling power to 471.72μJ m^(-2)and adiabatic temperature change to 2.1 K at 5 T for CrI_(3)/Hf.This improved MCE is ascribed to the enhancement of magnetic moment and intralayer exchange coupling in CrI_(3)due to the CrI_(3)/metal heterointerface induced charge transfer.Electric field is further found to tune MCE of CrI_(3)in heterostructures and could shift the peak temperature by around 10 K in CrI_(3)/Hf,thus manipulating the working temperature window of MCE.These theoretical results could enrich the research on low-dimensional magnetocaloric materials.Weiwei He Ziming Tang Qihua Gong Min Yi Wanlin Guo 2024Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2024,67,2:0
