Femtosecond laser-induced periodic surface structures on lithium niobate crystal benefiting from sample heating显示文摘Periodic surface structures were fabricated by irradiating lithium niobate(LN) crystals with femtosecond laser pulses at sample temperatures ranging from 28℃ to 800℃. Carrier density and conductivity of the samples were increased via heating LN, which inhibited coulomb explosion to obtain a uniform periodic surface structure. The periodic surface structures cover an area of 8 mm × 8 mm and have an average spacing of 174 5 nm.Meanwhile, the absorption of the processed sample is about 70% in the spectral range of 400–1000 nm, which is one order of magnitude higher than that of pure LN. Fabrication of periodic surface structures on heating LN with femtosecond laser pulses provides a possibility to generate nanogratings or nanostructures on wide-bandgap transparent crystals. | QIANG LI QIANG WU YANAN LI CHUNLING ZHANG ZIXI JIA JIANGHONG YAO JUN SUN JINGJUN XU | 2018 | Photonics Research2018,6,8: | 3
A New Species of Cupressinocladus from the Lower Cretaceous of Guyang Basin,Inner Mongolia,China and Cluster Analysis显示文摘Cupressinocladus Seward is a fossil genus of conifers and conifer fossils with reproductive organs are very rare.In general,it is difficult to understand the natural affinities with other conifers. In this paper,a new species,Cupressinocladus guyangensis P.H.Jin et B.N.Sun sp.nov.,is reported based on branches with immature female cones from the Lower Cretaceous Guyang Formation of the Guyang Basin in Inner Mongolia, northern China. The foliage shoots are decussate.Leaves are decussate,imbricate,scale-like,weakly dimorphic, and bear longitudinal glands on the abaxial view.Stomata complexes are haplocheilic, monocyclic, irregularly arranged, and spread along the leaf margin.Immature female cones are subglobose with 6-8 cone scales, and three subglobose ovules arranged in a row at the base of the cone scales. Moreover,we performed cluster analysis using a statistics and machine learning toolbox for 23 fossils and extant species based on 16 morphological characters. The result implies that the new species bears a close resemblance to the extant Cupressus funebris Endl.and might have nearest systematic affinities to it. | JIN Peihong MAO Teng DONG Junling WANG Zixi SUN Mingxuan XU Xiaohui DU Baoxia SUN Bainian | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,4: | 1
Ortho-(1-phenylvinyl)benzyl glycosides: Ether-type glycosyl donors for the efficient synthesis of both O-glycosides and nucleosides显示文摘Both O-glycosides and nucleosides are essential biomolecules with important roles in a variety of biological processes.Chemical synthesis of both O-glycosides and nucleosides is a scalable and reliable method to develop new therapeutic agents and decipher their functions. However, the efficient synthesis of both O-glycosides and nucleosides remains one of long-standing challenges in chemical synthesis. In particular,ether-type glycosyl donors are rarely developed to achieve the efficient synthesis of both O-glycosides and nucleosides due to the stronger conditions required for breaking of the glycosidic C–O bond. Here we report that ortho-(1-phenylvinyl)benzyl glycosides are new ether-type donors for efficient synthesis of both O-glycosides and nucleosides under mild reaction conditions. This glycosylation method enables glycosylation with both alcoholic acceptors and nucleobases with a variety of reactive functionalities.Furthermore, the latent-active synthesis of glycans and the efficient synthesis of nucleosides antibiotics have also been successfully demonstrated in the current glycosylation protocol, thereby representing an important step toward streamlining the chemical synthesis of both O-glycosides and nucleosides. | Penghua Li Haiqing He Lili Xu Yingying Huang Zixi Chen Yunqin Zhang Rui Yang Guozhi Xiao | 2020 | Green Synthesis and Catalysis2020,1,2: | 1
Bio-inspired surface manipulation of halloysite nanotubes for highperformance flame retardant polylactic acid nanocomposites显示文摘High-performance flame-retardant polylactic acid(PLA)bio-composites based on biobased fillers to meet usage requirements represents a promising direction for creating a sustainable world.Although flame retardant PLA composites have been reported extensively,it still remains a huge challenge to develop mechanically robust. The flame retardant PLA composites due to plastication effect of organic flame retardants and poor compatibility of organic fillers with the matrix lead to the severe deterioration in mechanical properties. In this work,a bio-inspired surface manipulation strategy for halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)was proposed via a facile and green self-assembly process. The structure and morphology of bio-inspired HNTs(b-HNTs)proved that biomass nanofillers(PA-NA-Fe)grew well both within the lumen and on the surface of HNTs.The growth of biomass on the inner and outer surfaces of HNTs was inspired from wooden towards enhancing the interface compatibility and imparting multi-properties to PLA biopolymer.Excellent mechanical properties(tensile, thermomechanical and anti-impact mechanical),great fire safety(heat release and smoke emission),thermostability and improved electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of this well-designed PLA nanocomposite were realized. The mechanisms of the enhanced performances of the PLA bio-composites by loading b-HNTs were proposed. This work presents a facile and environmentally-friendly bio-inspired modification strategy for HNTs to fabricate high-performance,multi-functional polymer composites, which is also suitable for surface modification of many other nanomaterials, including nanofibers, nanotubes, nanowires, and nanosheets. | Yaru Sun Bin Yu Yan Liu Junbo Yan Zixi Xu Bo Cheng Fenglei Huang Jun Wang | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,3: | 0
VPS33B suppresses lung adenocarcinoma metastasis and chemoresistance to cisplatin显示文摘The presence of VPS33B in tumors has rarely been reported.Downregulated VPS33B protein expression is an unfavorable factor that promotes the pathogenesis of lung adenocar-cinoma(LUAD).Overexpressed VPS33B was shown to reduce the migration,invasion,metas-tasis,and chemoresistance of LUAD cells to cisplatin(DDP)in vivo and in vitro.Mechanistic analyses have indicated that VPS33B first suppresses epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)Ras/ERK signaling, which further reduces the expression of the oncogenic factor C-Myc.Down-regulated c-Myc expression reduces the rate at which it binds the p53 promoter and weakens its transcription inhibition;therefore, decreased C-Myc stimulates p53 expression, leading to decreased epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition(EMT)signal.NESG1 has been shown to be an unfavorable indicator of non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Here,NESG1 Was identified as an interactive protein of VPS33B.In addition,NESG1 was found to exhibit mutual stimulation with VPS33B via reduced RAS/ERK/c-Jun-mediated transcription repression.Knockdown of NESG1 activated EGFR/Ras/ERK/c-Myc signaling and further downregulated p53 expression, which thus activated EMT signaling and promoted LUAD migration and invasion. Finally,we observed that nicotine suppressed VPS33B expression by inducing PI3K/AKT/c-Jun-mediated transcription suppression. Our study demonstrates that VPS33B as a tumor suppressor is signif-icantly involved in the pathogenesis of LUAD. | Zhen Liu Jiahao Liu Yang Li Hao Wang Zixi Liang Xiaojie Deng Qiaofen Fu Weiyi Fang Ping Xu | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,3: | 0
An improved transfer learning strategy for short-term cross-building energy prediction usingdata incremental显示文摘The available modelling data shortage issue makes it difficult to guarantee the performance of data-driven building energy prediction(BEP)models for both the newly built buildings and existing information-poor buildings. Both knowledge transfer learning(KTL)and data incremental learning(DIL)can address the data shortage issue of such buildings. For new building scenarios with continuous data accumulation, the performance of BEP models has not been fully investigated considering the data accumulation dynamics.DIL,which can learn dynamic features from accumulated data adapting to the developing trend of new building time-series data and extend BEP model's knowledge, has been rarely studied.Previous studies have shown that the performance of KTL models trained with fixed data can be further improved in scenarios with dynamically changing data.Hence, this study proposes an improved transfer learning cross-BEP strategy continuously updated using the coarse data incremental(CDI)manner. The hybrid KTL-DIL strategy(LSTM-DANN-CDI)uses domain adversarial neural network(DANN)for KLT and long short-term memory(LSTM)as the Baseline BEP model.Performance evaluation is conducted to systematically qualify the effectiveness and applicability of KTL and improved KTL-DIL.Real-world data from six-type 36 buildings of six types are adopted to evaluate the performance of KTL and KTL-DIL in data-driven BEP tasks considering factors like the model increment time interval, the available target and source building data volumes.Compared with LSTM,results indicate that KTL(LSTM-DANN)and the proposed KTL-DIL(LSTM-DANN-CDI)can significantly improve the BEP performance for new buildings with limited data.Compared with the pure KTL strategy LSTM-DANN,the improved KTL-DIL strategy LSTM-DANN-CDI has better prediction performance with an average performance improvement ratio of 60%. | Guannan Li Yubei Wu Chengchu Yan Xi Fang Tao Li Jiajia Gao Chengliang Xu Zixi Wang | 2024 | Building Simulation2024,17,1: | 0
