1Characteristic model based control of the X-34 reusable launch vehicle in its climbing phase显示文摘In this paper, a characteristic model based longitudinal control design for the trans-aerosphere vehicle X-34 in its transonic and hypersonic climbing phase is proposed. The design is based on the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle and the curves it is to track in this climbing phase. Through a detailed analysis of the aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics during this climbing phase, an explicit description of the tracking curve for the flight path angle is derived. On the basis of this tracking curve, the tracking curves for the two short-period variables, the angle of attack and the pitch rate, are designed. An all-coefficient adaptive controller is then designed, based on the characteristic modeling, to cause these two short-period variables to follow their respective tracking curves. The proposed design does not require multiple working points, making the design procedure simple. Numerical simulation is performed to validate the performance of the controller. 3Robust semi-global leader-following practical consensus of a group of linear systems with imperfect actuators显示文摘This paper considers the problem of semi-global leader-following consensus of a multi-agent system whose agent dynamics are represented by linear systems. The input output characteristics of the follower agent actuators, such as those of saturation and dead-zone, are imperfect, not precisely known, and subject to the effect of disturbances. Two consensus control algorithms, of the low-and-high gain feedback type and the low gain based variable structure control type, are proposed for solving the consensus problem. It is shown that both of these control algorithms achieve semi-global leader-following practical consensus in the presence of the imperfectness of the actuators when the communication topology among the follower agents is represented by a strongly connected and detailed balanced directed graph and the leader agent is a neighbor of at least one follower agent. 5Multi-leader multi-follower coordination with cohesion, dispersion, and containment control via proximity graphs显示文摘This paper studies the problem of multi-leader multi-follower coordination with proximity-based network topologies. The particular interest is to drive all the followers towards the convex hull formed by the moving leaders while producing cohesion behavior and keeping group dispersion. First, in the case of stationary leaders, we design a gradient-based continuous control algorithm. We show that with this continuous algorithm the control objective can be achieved, and the tracking error bound can be controlled by tuning some control parameters. We apply the continuous control algorithm to the moving leaders case and show that the tracking error bound is related to the velocities of the leaders. However, in this case, the algorithm has one restriction that the velocities of the leaders should depend on neighboring followers' velocities, which might not be desirable in some scenarios. Therefore, we propose a nonsmooth algorithm for moving leaders which works under the mild assumption of boundedness of leaders' velocities. 6On PID control for synchronization of complex dynamical network with delayed nodes显示文摘Over the past two decades, synchronization, as an interesting collective behavior of complex dynamical networks, has been attracting much attention. To reveal and analyze the inherent mechanism of synchronization in complex dynamical networks with time delays in nodes, this paper attempts to use PD and PI control protocols to achieve synchronization. Based on a classical network model, we investigate the PD and PI control for synchronization of complex dynamical networks with delayed nodes and obtain some sufficient conditions. By using Lyapunov functions and appropriate state transformations, we prove that global synchronization can be achieved via the above control protocols. 8Distributed Cooperative Control of Battery Energy Storage Systems in DC Microgrids显示文摘The control of battery energy storage systems(BESSs)plays an important role in the management of microgrids.In this paper,the problem of balancing the state-ofcharge(SoC)of the networked battery units in a BESS while meeting the total charging/discharging power requirement is formulated and solved as a distributed control problem.Conditions on the communication topology among the battery units are established under which a control law is designed for each battery unit to solve the control problem based on distributed average reference power estimators and distributed average unit state estimators.Two types of estimators are proposed.One achieves asymptotic estimation and the other achieves finite time estimation.We show that,under the proposed control laws,SoC balancing of all battery units is achieved and the total charging/discharging power of the BESS tracks the desired power.A simulation example is shown to verify the theoretical results.Tingyang Meng Zongli Lin Yacov A.Shamash 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,3:5
9Characteristic model based all-coefficient adaptive control of an AMB suspended energy storage flywheel test rig显示文摘Feedback control of active magnetic bearing(AMB) suspended energy storage flywheel systems is critical in the operation of the systems and has been well studied. Both the classical proportional-integralderivative(PID) control design method and modern control theory, such as H∞ control and μ-synthesis,have been explored. PID control is easy to implement but is not effective in handling complex rotordynamics. Modern control design methods usually require a plant model and an accurate characterization of the uncertainties. In each case, few experimental validation results on the closed-loop performance are available because of the costs and the technical challenges associated with the construction of experimental test rigs.In this paper, we apply the characteristic model based all-coefficient adaptive control(ACAC) design method for the stabilization of an AMB suspended flywheel test rig we recently constructed. 11On robustness of an AMB suspended energy storage flywheel platform under characteristic model based all-coefficient adaptive control laws显示文摘A characteristic model based all-coefficient adaptive control law was recently implemented on an experimental test rig for high-speed energy storage flywheels suspended on magnetic bearings. Such a control law is an intelligent control law, as its design does not rely on a pre-established mathematical model of a plant but identifies its characteristic model while the plant is being controlled. Extensive numerical simulations and experimental results indicated that this intelligent control law outperforms a μ-synthesis control law, originally designed when the experimental platform was built in terms of their ability to suppress vibration on the high-speed test rig. 13On semi-global stabilization of minimum phase nonlinear systems without vector relative degrees显示文摘Recently, we developed a structural decomposition for multiple input multiple output nonlinear systems that are affine in control but otherwise general. This structural decomposition simplifies the conventional backstepping design and allows a new backstepping design procedure that is able to stabilize some systems on which the conventional backstepping is not applicable. In this paper we further exploit the properties of such a decomposition for the purpose of solving the semi-global stabilization problem for minimum phase nonlinear systems without vector relative degrees. By taking advantage of special structure of the decomposed system, we first apply the low gain design to the part of system that possesses a linear dynamics. The low gain design results in an augmented zero dynamics that is locally stable at the origin with a domain of attraction that can be made arbitrarily large by lowering the gain. 20Design of switched linear systems in the presence of actuator saturation and L-infinity disturbances显示文摘This paper considers the problem of disturbance tolerance/rejection of a switched system resulting from a family of linear systems subject to actuator saturation and L-infinity disturbances.For a given set of linear feedback gains,a given switching scheme and a given bound on the L-infinity norm of the disturbances,conditions are established,in terms of linear or bilinear matrix inequalities,under which a set of a certain form is invariant for a given switched linear system in the presence of actuator saturation and L-infinity disturbances,and the closed-loop system possesses a certain level of disturbance rejection capability.With these conditions,the design of feedback gains and switching scheme can be formulated and solved as constrained optimization problems.Disturbance tolerance is measured by the largest bound on the disturbances for which the trajectories starting from a given set remain bounded.Disturbance rejection is measured either by the L-infinity norm of the system output or by the system’s ability to steer its state into and/or keep it within a small neighborhood of the origin.In the event that all systems in the family are identical,the switched system reduces to a single system under a switching feedback law.Simulation results show that such a single system under a switching feedback law could have stronger disturbance tolerance/rejection capability than a single linear feedback law can.Liang LU Zongli LIN Haijun FANG 2010控制理论与应用(英文版)2010,8,3:1
