| 1 | Statistical and thermodynamic properties of binary self-condensing vinyl polymerization显示文摘The thermodynamic properties of a binary self-condensing vinyl polymerization system consisting of monomers and inimers are investigated by the principle of statistical mechanics.In detail,in terms of two types of canonical partition functions constructed from different viewpoints,the equilibrium free energy,the law of mass action and the size distribution of hyperbranched polymers are obtained.As an application,the specific heat,equation of state and isothermal compressibility concerning the polymerization are given as well.To study the dimension of hyperbranched polymers in the system,a recursion formula satisfied by the(k+1)-th and k-th mean square radius of gyration is derived,and then the first,second and third radius of gyration under different solvent conditions are presented.The influences of the fraction of inimers,the conversion of vinyl groups and the solvent effect on the average dimension of hyperbranched polymers are discussed. | GU Fang WANG HaiJun ZHAO ZuoFei | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,3: | 5 |
| 2 | First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. | 3 | From unusual suspect to serial killer: Cyanotoxins boosted by climate change may jeopardize megafauna显示文摘The recent mass mortality event of more than 330 African elephants in Botswana has been attributed to biotoxins produced by cyanobacteria;however,scientific evidence for this is lacking.Here,by synthesizing multiple sources of data,we show that,during the past decades,the widespread hypertrophic waters in Southern Africa have entailed an extremely high risk and frequent exposure of cyanotoxins to the wildlife within this area,which functions as a hotspot of mammal species richness.The hot and dry climatic extremes have most likely acted as the primary trigger of the recent and perhaps also of prehistoric mass mortality events.As such climate extremes are projected to become more frequent in Southern Africa in the near future,there is a risk that similar tragedies may take place,rendering African megafauna species,especially those that are already endangered,in risk of extinction.Moreover,cyanotoxin poisoning amplified by climate change may have unexpected cascading effects on human societies.Seen within this perspective,the tragic mass death of the world's largest terrestrial mammal species serves as an alarming early warning signal of future environmental catastrophes in Southern Africa.We suggest that systematic,quantitative cyanotoxin risk assessments are made and precautionary actions to mitigate the risks are taken without hesitation to ensure the health and sustainability of the megafauna and human societies within the region. | Haijun Wang Chi Xu Ying Liu Erik Jeppesen Jens-Christian Svenning Jianguo Wu Wenxia Zhang Tianjun Zhou Puze Wang Shingirai Nangombe Jinge Ma Hongtao Duan Jingyun Fang Ping Xie | 2021 | The Innovation2021,2,2: | 3 |
| 4 | Statistical theory for a hydrogen bonding fluid system of A_aD_d type (Ⅳ): Depletion potential between colloid particles显示文摘The depletion potential between two colloid particles immersed in a hydrogen bonding fluid has been investigated by density functional theory. The study is motivated by the wide applications of hydrogen bonding fluids in the field of colloid science, and the effects of relevant factors on the depletion potential and depletion force between colloid particles have been studied. These factors include the size ratio of the colloid particle to the fluid molecule, the bulk density of the fluid, the functionality (the number of proton acceptors a and proton donors d) and hydrogen bonding strength as well as the colloid-fluid interaction energy. | 6 | Efficacy of Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)in treating cerebral hemorrhage in rats with traumatic brain injury显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the protective efficacy of Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)on cerebral hemorrhage in a rat model of traumatic brain injury(TBI)by investigating plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1),tissue-type plasminogen activator(t-PA),nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB,p-p65),nitric oxide(NO),endothelin(ET),cluster differentiation(CD61CD62),and coagulation.METHODS:The free-fall method was used to create a rat model of TBI.Forty-eight rats were randomly divided into six groups:the blank group,sham group,model group,low-dose Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)group,middle-dose Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)group,and high-dose Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)group.At 24 h after the model was created,we investigated brain MRI,brain tissue morphology using HE staining,flow cytometry,and immunohistochemical changes.RESULTS:Cerebral hemorrhage was aggravated in TBI rats(observed in brain specimens,brain MRI,and brain tissue HE).Cerebral immunohistochemistry results demonstrated that the expression of t-PA,PAI-1 and p-p65 increased significantly in TBI rats,while t-PA/PAI-1 had a significant decrease.In addition,CD61CD62,D2D,and ET were significantly increased in TBI rats,and PT and APTT were significantly prolonged;in contrast,NO was significantly decreased.Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)decreased cerebral hemorrhage in TBI rats(observed in brain MRI and brain tissue HE),and increased t-PA/PAI-1,CD61CD62 significantly.It also significantly decreased the expression of t-PA,PAI-1,and p-p65 in brain immunohistochemistry and significantly decreased PT,APTT,D2D,and ET.However,there were no differences in NO between the model group and the Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)group.CONCLUSION:Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng)can decrease the expression of p-p65,increase t-PA/PAI-1,and stem traumatic intracranial hemorrhage in a TBI rat model. | JIANG Tao ZHOU Xiaqing JIANG Huifang YING Rongbiao ZHANG Zhirong CAI Danli WU Yu FANG Haijun WANG Lingcong | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2: | 2 |

| 8 | Design of switched linear systems in the presence of actuator saturation and L-infinity disturbances显示文摘This paper considers the problem of disturbance tolerance/rejection of a switched system resulting from a family of linear systems subject to actuator saturation and L-infinity disturbances.For a given set of linear feedback gains,a given switching scheme and a given bound on the L-infinity norm of the disturbances,conditions are established,in terms of linear or bilinear matrix inequalities,under which a set of a certain form is invariant for a given switched linear system in the presence of actuator saturation and L-infinity disturbances,and the closed-loop system possesses a certain level of disturbance rejection capability.With these conditions,the design of feedback gains and switching scheme can be formulated and solved as constrained optimization problems.Disturbance tolerance is measured by the largest bound on the disturbances for which the trajectories starting from a given set remain bounded.Disturbance rejection is measured either by the L-infinity norm of the system output or by the system’s ability to steer its state into and/or keep it within a small neighborhood of the origin.In the event that all systems in the family are identical,the switched system reduces to a single system under a switching feedback law.Simulation results show that such a single system under a switching feedback law could have stronger disturbance tolerance/rejection capability than a single linear feedback law can. | Liang LU Zongli LIN Haijun FANG | 2010 | 控制理论与应用(英文版)2010,8,3: | 1 |

| 18 | Geochemical Characteristics and Gas-to-Gas Correlation of Two Leakage-type Gas Hydrate Accumulations in the Western Qiongdongnan Basin, South China Sea显示文摘In recent years,a series of highly saturated leakage-type gas hydrates have been discovered in the western Qiongdongnan Basin(QDNB),South China Sea.Based on the molecular compositional and isotopic characteristics of the gas samples relevant to the gas hydrates collected from the two leakage-type gas hydrate accumulations in the GMGS5 and GMGS6 drilling zones,a detailed geochemical gas-to-gas correlation was conducted in this study,in order to further understand the geochemical characteristics and possible hydrocarbon sources of these gas hydrates.The natural gas relevant to the gas hydrates in the GMGS5 block is characterized by wet gas(67.96%<%C_(1)<98.58%,C_(1)/C_(1+)<0.9)and significant molecular and carbon isotope fractionation within the depth profile,whereas the gas samples from the GMGS6 block exhibit the characteristics of dry gas(99.25%<%C_(1)<99.81%,C_(1)/C_(1+)>0.9)and lack molecular and carbon isotope fractionation.Approximately 40%‒60%of the methane within the gas hydrate is of microbial origin,while the C^(2+)gas components are typical coal-type gas that are derived from thermogenic source rocks or deeply-buried natural gas fields.In addition,typical in situ primary microbial methane(−80.6‰<δ^(13)C-C_(1)<−67.7‰)was discovered in well W b,which was applied to estimate the contribution of the microbial gas to the gas hydrates.The gas-to-gas correlation results show that the hydrate gases within the two leakage-type gas hydrate accumulations in the GMGS5 and GMGS6 blocks are geochemically different,suggesting that they may have been derived from different source kitchens.Our results further indicate that the deeply-buried thermogenic gas significantly contributed to the shallowly-buried gas hydrates in the western QDNB and multiple effective thermogenic source kitchens provided the hydrocarbon gas in the gas hydrate accumulations. | LAI Hongfei QIU Haijun LIANG Jinqiang KUANG Zenggui FANG Yunxin REN Jinfeng LU Jing’an | 2022 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,2: | 1 |
